Remember when the Associated Press wrangled eleven (count ‘em) reporters to fact check Sarah Palin’s book?
Now AP claims they’ve fact checked those hacked Climategate emails, and apparently found fewer “errors” in those thousands of messages than they did in Going Rogue:
E-mails stolen from climate scientists show they stonewalled skeptics and discussed hiding data — but the messages don’t support claims that the science of global warming was faked, according to an exhaustive review by The Associated Press.”
The lead reporter on that story is one Seth Borenstein. And back in July, Seth was sounding awfully chummy with some of the climate scientists whose emails he just finished “exhaustively reviewing”…
Kevin, Gavin, Mike,
It’s Seth again. Attached is a paper in JGR today that
is hyping wildly. It’s in a legit journal. Whatchya think?
Associated Press Science Writer
The Associated Press, 1100 13th St. NW, Suite 700,
That would be Kevin Trenberth, Gavin Schmidt and the infamous Michael Mann, whose emails make up a large portion of those controversial Climategate missives.
But don’t worry: Seth says there’s nothing to see here. And Seth is a detached, unbiased journalist who’s on a chatty, first name basis with no personal connection to any of the major players.
So go back to your pathetic, redneck, Sarah Palin loving lives, you troglodyte deniers!
