“Religion is the opium of the people. The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is required for their real happiness.”
- Karl Marx, Critique of Hegel’s Philosophy of Right
President Obama is desperate to have the health care bill signed, sealed and delivered on Christmas Eve. So desperate, in fact, the First Family is waiting with baited breath in Washington, delaying their “holiday” vacation to Hawaii until it’s passage.
But why Christmas Eve?
With the Christmas Eve passage of health care reform, the implementation of Communism in America marks the replacement of God with government. Christmas Day will be hailed as the ‘birth of a new America.’ The Left is supplanting Christianity with the religion of Communism. In recent years they’ve succeeded in removing Christian crosses, nativity scenes and Christmas trees from public places paving the road to the birth of communism in America .
Communism, as a religion, pledges freedom and equality for all, an end to social injustice, hunger, and the want for the necessities of life. A utopia – The utopia President Obama campaigned to deliver. But a communist government must have the people viewing it as god or deity. Permitting the people to have a “god” places the government second in terms of prominence and authority in a citizen’s life. It is the government’s purpose to decide where people live, what choices they have in terms of career, clothing, food and health care.
From his youth President Obama’s history has been filled with radical Communist influences. John Perazzo, in “The Communists Behind Obama’s Health Care Goals,” notes
“Barack Obama did not conceive of socialized medicine on his own. His acceptance of such a system was cultivated and nurtured by the same types of Marxist revolutionaries with whom he has surrounded himself throughout his entire adult life – and who are now shaping the major policy agendas of his administration.”
Despite citizen opposition and plunging approval rates, the Left holding power in Congress is demonstrating their contempt for Christians by using the holiest Christian night of the year as a political opportunity to implement their communist agenda. Salon’s Joan Walsh details the bills success, directly conforming to the communist ideals of state-mandated care for the individual,
“The likely bill establishes healthcare as a right, not a privilege…. It makes insurance companies pay out 80-85 percent of premium dollars on care. State exchanges may also be able to accomplish something close to a public option. And while the individual mandate (and accompanying fines) is of concern without a public option…it’s extraordinary. Finally, there is no universal healthcare without a universal, individual mandate.”
If, as it appears, the individual mandate may be rejected during reconciliation between House and Senate health care bills, another option remains steadfast – single payer. Perazzo continues,
“In a single-payer system, a government-run organization would manage the healthcare of every man, woman, and child in the United States—collecting all related fees and paying out all related costs.
Notwithstanding his concession to political practicality, it is clear that the ultimate objective of President Obama’s self-identified quest to “fundamentally transform the United States of America,” is to move the nation as far as possible, albeit incrementally, toward a single-payer system.”
As the ornament bearing the face of China’s Mao Zedong hangs on the White House “holiday” tree, America’s fate hangs in the balance with the passage of the government takeover of health care.
