Standing With Israel – by Lt. Colonel Allen West

israel

About 62 years ago the world came together and established something that was very long overdue, the State of Israel. When one considers the travails of the Jewish people since the 7th century it should bring shame upon the face of the world. These persecutions began with their being forced out of the Saudi peninsula and the Levant by Muhammad and his successors.

The horrors of the inquisition in Spain among other wrongs brought upon the Jews in early Europe followed. When we failed to learn from that lesson, the world would witness the supreme horror in Europe of the Holocaust. Finally, we learned the lesson. We made a commitment and established a Jewish homeland, fully recognized.

Now we face the resurrection of the original enemy of the Jewish people, a resurgent Islamic fundamentalism evidencing itself in totalitarian, imperialist design. This time it has morphed itself using 21st century technologies still retaining a 7th century mentality, utilizing terrorism internationally to promote its perverse aims.

One of those objectives is the destruction of the State the world agreed to support in creating, Israel.

In keeping with previous traditions established by Muhammad, the modern Islamic warriors promote Taquiyya, lying to promote Islam. They also, just as Muhammad, use the Treaty of Hudabiyya as a model to delay and deceive their enemies until they are ready to strike. Under Yasser Arafat some 200 agreements were never honored.

Why would we trust any word coming from the mouth of the psychopathic delusional leader of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? The mad mullahs, insane imams, and combative clerics are again calling for the supremacy of Islam, no different from earlier centuries.

Israel faces groups such as Hamas, which in its charter commits to the destruction of Israel. It faces Iran, which has committed itself to destroying the Jewish state and driving its people into the sea. When asked to depart from southern Lebanon, Israel complied, yet they now face Hezbollah in the north. In Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood is complicit in enabling Hamas to receive materiel support and funding through the endless series of tunnels the terrorists have built.

And there are those who demand more land be ceded by Israel and settlements halted? The end result will be a country with the width comparable to the distance of New York’s JFK to LaGuardia airports. Each time Israel has given back terrain it has become a launching point for terrorist attacks.

We are dealing with an enemy that has no regard, nor respect, for negotiations, compromises, and certainly not appeasement. As a matter of fact, it is deemed weakness and only encourages the enemies of Israel further.

I do not support any creation of a Palestinian state. To do so would be to create a terrorist state. There is already a state for the Arabic people residing in the region called Palestine, Jordan. If the Arabs can build an indoor ski slope in Dubai, they can resolve the issue of their Arab brothers and sisters. Instead, they use them as pawns in an international game of extortion and use the subsidies provided not for humanitarian gain but for more weapons, for jihad.

I do not support any division of Jerusalem. If I recall from history and the Old Testament, David, Son of Israel built Jerusalem and his son Solomon made it great. The Muslim claims to Jerusalem are based upon a very contentious story concocted by Muhammad, and of course the latter conquering of the city even by Salahaddin. One flag will fly over Jerusalem, the Israeli flag, never any other, certainly not a UN flag.

Lastly, we must move away from the antiquated world government organization called the United Nations. We recently saw what type “leaders” are allowed a stage before this body politic. It is time we create a new organization which is based upon nations with similar political structures, Republics and Democracies. I advocate Israel being part of this structure, perhaps an expanded NATO, but something with teeth, and principled member nations. We face a dangerous committed enemy, we are all targets, not just Israel.

And if we fail to believe that last sentence, ask those who lost loved ones on 9-11 in America, on 3-11 in Madrid, and in the London bombings. We just dodged a terrible blow here in America, again, while promoting “Islam on Capitol Hill”. Funny, the attendees blamed their fear of reprisals for not having more persons participate. This on the same day, September 25, 2009, that a Jordanian illegal immigrant was caught sitting in a “supposed” car bomb and dialling up the cell number to detonate in Dallas.

Genesis Chapter 16, verses 11-12 states, “And the Angel of the Lord said to her (Hagar): Behold you are with child, And you shall bear a son, You shall call his name Ishmael, Because the Lord has heard your affliction. He shall be a wild man; His hand shall be against everyman, and every man’s hand against him. And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.”

Ishamel of course became the beginning of the Arab people….and God’s word is immutable truth.

In closing, there are battle lines clearly drawn, I know where I stand, and that is to support the State of Israel. The lessons of history have been learned by me and I offer one simple retort, “Not on my Watch”.

talk about drawling a line in the sand.

I'm an atheist who actually stands on your side as well.

I agree that we should form a new coalition to stand together against those countries that support violence and intolerance. Australia has finally pulled itself in the right direction against Islam, Geert Wilders, if he gets elected instead of sent to prison would be in on it. I guess we'd have to check around with those nations that have not been infected with the Islamic termites. How much of Europe is even left. South America is importing their problem children from thee Islamic third world countries. How many years before their house is falling? Obama would never stand with “us” on this. He's just got to go. We could have so much power for good in the world if we could unite with the countries that think as we do. Of course, so much of America is in lala land these days. What to do?

I agree with everything in this article, but something about Israel troubles me. Israel recently sold Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to Russia. Russia has trouble developing these on its own. Unfortunately, UAVs could be useful for Russia in fighting countries on its borders like Georgia. Israel has also been selling arms to China in the past, though I haven't been able to see, using google, to what extent this still goes on. Israel may have reasons for these deals – perhaps it thinks Russia will not sell its game-changing S-300 anti-aircraft/anti-missile system to Syria and Iran if Israel ingratiates itself. Or perhaps Israel wants the money. Or whatever. But this kind of stuff is ultimately bad for the U.S. Of course the U.S. is headed now by a man who sends a packaged 'reset' button with Hillary Clinton to Russia, and as far as China goes, seems to think deals on global warming are important than pushing for human rights. But both China and Russia are anti-American dictatorships, both get stronger militarily by the day, and Israel should realize that you don't sell arms to those two nations, even if Israel's very short-term interest might point that way.

Fair enough. I agree. Simultaneously the US should stop arming Israel's enemies in the Muslim world, like S Arabia, and her semi-enemies like Egypt. US companies should (have) stopped doing business with despicable Arab regimes and also Iran – GE only stopped just now. And the US should use its leverage to tell the Euros to stop flooding all of Israel's enemies with the money and chemicals to build WMD.

If you want to be a superpower that gets a veto, in part, over Israeli actions, then be a responsible one and bring Swiss, Austria, etc., into line on these issues.

A great irony of the age is that the seemingly most diehard proponents of freedom—the useful idiots of our time — are the most dangerous unwitting accomplices of liberty’s enemy — Islam. Keep in mind that the very name “Islam” is a derivation of “taslim,” the Arabic word for “surrender,” surrender to the will and dictates of Allah as revealed by Muhammad and recorded in the Quran.

This non-negotiable surrender to Islam requires the individual as well as the society to disenfranchise themselves of many of the fundamental and deeply cherished human rights. Below is a brief presentation of what this surrender to Islam entails and why it is imperative that all freedom-loving people arise and defeat the menace of Islamofascism.

Amendment I of the Bill of Rights enshrines some of the most cherished ideals of freedom-loving people:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Islam considers itself the three branches of government. It enacts laws as it sees fit, adjudicates laws, and executes as it deems. Islam is anathema to the provisions of the First Amendment and much more.

Islam proclaims itself as the only legitimate religion for the entire world, grudgingly granting minor recognition to Judaism and Christianity from whom it has liberally plagiarized many of its dogma. Jews and Christians are allowed to live under the rule of Islam as dhimmis and must pay a special religious tax of jazyyeh. Buddhists, Hindus, Zoroastrians, Baha’is, members of other religions, agnostics, or atheists are not even allowed to live practicing their belief or disbelief.

If one believes the Bible is the Word of God, absolute Truth, then when Jesus the Christ returns to destroy the enemies of the Jews and their brethren and set up His Davidic Kingdom in Jerusalem He will judge the nations on how they have treated the Jews. This is no meek and mild Jesus, but God with The Day of Vengence in His heart. All anti-Semites and those who call Him a liar who gave the land of Israel in perpetuity by blood covenant will be destroyed and cast into Hell to await The Last Judgement and eternal torment for calling God a liar and rejecting His offer of pardon in the Gospel of Christ's suffering, death, burial and resurrection.

Thank you Sir, you are a breath of fresh air. I am so tired of these mouthy people who have no idea just what and who the Israelite people are and what they have lived through. Let alone that they have been our friends and financial supporters since the very beginning of this nation. With out their help we probably would not be what we are… were a few months….and years ago.

I have been following Allen West for some time now. I can tell you that this man means what he says and says what he means. As a member of the military for 22 years, he has taken an oath to protect and defend the Constitution. From everything I have heard and read, he takes that oath very seriously. I highly recommend you visit his web site and support this man. Even if you do not live in his district. We need men and women like him in Congress if we hope to restore this Republic. Check him out at http://www.allenwestforcongress.com.

Well said! Appeasement of evil people and organisations who can NEVER be trusted only encourages their wickedness.I for one whole-heartedly support the right of Israel to exist in their homeland, and to defend themselves in which ever way they can to ensure their safety from murderous pigs.

Hold on just a minute. Allen West is a congressional candidate? This man is not a politician at all… which is EXACTLY what we need right now. I have read his issues on his website. Incredible. West should be running for President, not congress. I have a feeling that we will be seeing him rise quickly through the ranks and, HOPEFULLY, one day, make a run for the White House. This country is in desperate need of men like Allen West. You certainly have my vote, sir.

    Allen:

I completely agree with you, and your views regarding Israel. Bravo to you for speaking out. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you run for an elected US Congress office. America is a Judeo-Christian nation which embraces persons of all faiths as long as they obey the laws of America. God Bless America, and God Bless Israel.

Your thoughts on Ft. Hood are exactly mine. I felt like I was reading my own thoughts. “Ft. Hood” was an act of terrorism committed during a state of war between Islamic persons who would destroy America, and the American people.
This was an act of treason, punishable by death.

The present administration is bound and determined to undermine Israel's attempts to defuse a nuclear Iran by impeding any concrete action by Israel. Obama is obviously pro Islam when he attempts to blackmail Israel into making more and more consessions to Hamas. Israel must be only concerned with its survival and not the dictates of an administration that displays its anti-semitism so blatently.

  • Saladin Jones

LTC West I agree with you 100%.Congratulations on your win in Florida.
