We knew the mainstream media was in collusion in an all out attack against Sarah Palin, but we just couldn’t prove it – now we can.
Daily Caller’s Jonathan Strong has exposed Journolist’s gang-up against Palin as the only way to usher in their pick for the White House. Imagine that. All the biggies in the mainstream, the Economist, Time, Newsweek, Politico and many others worked together to influence voters in a “non-official campaign” for the future President Obama.
Yesterday on his show, Glenn Beck reminded us of Walter Lippman, the father of modern journalism, and a progressive who advised President Woodrow Wilson. Human gods come and go, but as a virile ideologue Lippmann created a progeny who bought his leftist beliefs, and traded their souls for it. Lippmann declared:
The public must be put in its place, so that it may exercise its own powers, but no less and perhaps even more, so that each of us may live free of the trampling and the roar of a bewildered herd.
Lippmann looked at the masses as a “bewildered herd” that needed to be led by an elite group of intellectual journalists. But every power takeover eventually faces a smackdown. Today’s mainstream media got too big for its britches, and its overindulgence has started showing.
Daily Caller reveals the back and forth between Palin-hating writers involved in Journolist:
Ryan Avent, then blogging for the Economist and now an editor there…“I really don’t think the experience argument needs to be made by the Dems. It’s completely obvious to any reasonable person. Instead, hammer away at the fact that she has terrible positions on things like choice, and on the fact that she has no ideas on the issues important to people,” he wrote.
“Okay, let’s get deadly serious, folks. Grating voice or not, ‘inexperienced’ or not, Sarah Palin’s just been introduced to the country as a brave, above-party, oil-company-bashing, pork-hating maverick ‘outsider’,” Kilgore [Ed Kilgore, managing editor of the Democratic Strategist blog] said, “What we can do is to expose her ideology.”
Journolist colluders homed in on the target, Sarah Palin, and kept their boots on her neck until their man was in the Oval Office. We the American ‘herd’ should respond with the best of Alinsky: pick the Journolist group, freeze them, isolate them, and send them into a collective oblivion buried inside the back pages of their soon-to-be outdated publications.
