The feminist coalition Fédération des femmes du Québec got itself into some serious hot water over its release of a reprehensible anti-war YouTube video that caused widespread uproar and anguish among military moms. The video compared recruits to “cannon fodder.” What were these blokes thinking? The fallout prompted them to edit the video but understandably that didn’t do the trick. They rely on contributions, donations and subsidies, so now the Canadian Taxpayers Federation wants Federation des femmes du Quebec to return any public money it has received over the years.
When will the likes of these obtuse idiots realize that the supporters of the coalition forces do not like war. People don’t want to be blown up or have their children blown up, anymore today than they did in the World War II resistance against Nazism. We owe our freedoms and lives to the brave, heroic men and women who suffered through the incalculable ravages of war. Islamofacism is violent and spreading like a cancer and Afghanistan is a training hub. The insensitivity of these morons to display such a video for the moms of soldiers to see and then come back and say …
all they wanted to do was protest against the military policies of the Canadian government, like its role in Afghanistan and its multibillion-dollar purchase of fighter jets.
… is tactless. They owe allegiance to the past war heroes who had their blood spilled in battle to purchase their freedom, even to be asinine.
Military parents emerged to say they were proud of soldiers’ work in Afghanistan, and disgusted by the video. One mother said that after watching the video she stared at a photo of her dead son and wept.
And this “feminist” group is out to advance women? Not only have they deeply hurt the mothers of the soldiers who went to war, they are either oblivious or couldn’t care less about the women in Afghanistan who are being burned alive, disfigured by men cutting their faces with knives and having acid thrown on them for being disobedient to men under Taliban rule; a country where the rape of young girls, women and and even boys is routine.
