Obama’s Disgraceful Conduct Toward Israel

On Wednesday night in Washington Israeli and American officials worked feverishly—but failed—to produce a document stating Israel’s commitments regarding proximity talks with the Palestinian Authority. The U.S. was reportedly supposed to take the document to the Palestinians and then to the Arab League meeting in Tripoli, Libya, this weekend.

Days earlier Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu had outlined such commitments in a letter to secretary of state Hillary Clinton. It was deemed insufficient and, in Washington, President Barack Obama sent Netanyahu and his accompanying officials back to the drawing board. According to one report, Israeli foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman advised Netanyahu not to sign any such document that night, and to wait to return home and discuss the matter with the Israeli inner cabinet.

The commitments Obama seeks are variously reported to be: some sort of Israeli undertaking about a construction moratorium in the West Bank (where one is already in place) and East Jerusalem; a promise to engage in such final-status issues as refugees, borders, and Jerusalem in the proximity talks; and “gestures” to the Palestinian Authority such as the removal of additional checkpoints and the freeing of Palestinian security prisoners.

The pressures Obama directed at Netanyahu were severe, in one account even inducing a “panic” reaction in the Israeli leader. The total media blackout that accompanied their meeting led the Washington Post’s Jackson Diehl to comment that “Netanyahu is being treated as if he were an unsavory Third World dictator, needed for strategic reasons but conspicuously held at arm’s length.” Obama was further riled by news about an approval to build 20 apartments for Jews in a compound in East Jerusalem owned by an American Jewish millionaire since 1985—situated in a mostly-Arab neighborhood.

By Thursday night, with Netanyahu and his inner cabinet set to convene, many of his ministers had praised his refusal while in Washington to cave on the Jerusalem-construction issue, Netanyahu having stated to AIPAC on Monday night that “The Jewish people were building Jerusalem 3,000 year ago and the Jewish people are building Jerusalem today.”

Meanwhile an Arab-affairs correspondent of Yediot Aharonot, Israel’s largest newspaper, reported on Thursday based on Palestinian Authority sources that

“the drama taking place on Wednesday in Washington has not gone unnoticed by the Palestinians, but…as of now there is no change in their position regarding the possibility for proximity talks.… even a declaration that indirect talks will address core issues such as Jerusalem and borders is not sufficient. ‘What is necessary [said a senior Palestinian official] is a clear American commitment that building in the settlements will be frozen completely, both in Jerusalem and in the West Bank.’”

As many have noted, just as Obama’s earlier call for a total freeze on Israeli settlements apparently led Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas to stonewall direct talks with Israel, so the recent brouhaha Obama created over Israeli building in Jerusalem seems to have led Abbas to back out, for now, from the proximity talks as well. In other words, even those who see such talks as leading to peace should not be happy with how Obama has handled the matter. What such optimists are likely to miss, though, is that the Palestinian Authority is hardly eager for either talks or peace and jumps at opportunities to back out of the former.

The larger Arab world is almost very much part of Obama’s grandiose plans for peace between Israel and its neighbors, but there too discouraging news surfaced on Thursday. It was reported that the Saudi MBC1 television network, along with Dubai Television, had bought and started airing Ayrilik, a 13-part anti-Semitic Turkish series. Ayrilik depicts Israeli soldiers as satanic and shows them engaging in such acts as murdering Palestinians of all ages, including a newborn baby, and kicking the corpses.

Dubai is, of course, considered an amenable Arab country, a financial hub and tourist playground. It’s suggested that Dubai may be broadcasting the series to get back at Israel for the alleged assassination on its soil of a single Hamas terrorist two months ago. As for Saudi Arabia, it’s the famed source of the “Saudi peace plan” and one of the reputedly “moderate” Arab countries Obama supplicated some months ago to make “gestures” to Israel—only to be contemptuously rebuffed.

In light of all this, the spectacle of the intensive, harried American-Israeli consultations lasting well into Wednesday night emerges as grotesque. The face the Obama administration has turned toward Israel these past two weeks is an ugly one. The news about 20 apartments for Jews in a Jerusalem neighborhood that the U.S. president sees as off limits for Jews has him incensed. Neither the Palestinians’ obvious disdain for his obsessive efforts to induce them into talks, nor ongoing Palestinian and Arab barbaric anti-Semitism, has ever been seen to evoke even a twinge of annoyance in him. Instead Obama’s capacity to insult and humiliate the Israeli prime minister—the only one to make an effort to go along with his plans—is ongoing and disgraceful.

Meanwhile over 250 members of Congress from both parties have written to Clinton to “reaffirm our commitment to the unbreakable bond that exists between our country and the State of Israel and to express to you our deep concern over recent tension,” stating that “differences are best resolved quietly, in trust and confidence, as befits longstanding strategic allies.” It is a relief to see the authentic, decent face of America again. Obama’s policy toward Israel shames that decency.

We should not be surprised. Obama is a stealth Muslim and a Marxist.

Perhaps a rumor should start circulating that O'Bummer's mother was Jewish (which would make him one).

It does not matter. Liberal American Jews are at first liberal and only then (if ever, Jews). The fact is that O is a muslim and hates Jews.

This morning(3-26-2010) Geraldo Rivera backed Obama's anti-semitism and dismissed Palestinians tying their sons to bombs in order to castigate Israel for building settlements in East Jerusalem. Perhaps Geraldo is not a Jew/Rican but a Palestinian terrrorist-sympathizer. He is a total traitor, starting from his days in a newsroom where he changed his name to Geraldo Rivera in order to ride the Hispanic minority pony and whip up his broadcaster ambitions.

Mark Levine has said repeatedly this Administration is destroying the United States…with radical leftist legislation, ideology and politics…..are we seeing the decline and fall of America? Israel is an ally….not the Arab terrorists….The trillion dollar deficits, the socialization of the economy and health care….many people are wondering if bankruptcy, collapse and chaos are just ahead as these money burning programs go into effect.

  • TS1524

The Obama administration is right on this one. Israel does not hold the strong card. This is a small country that would be insignificant if not for the support of the United States. If America is to have any credibility with the Arab world that it can pursue a peace between Palestinians and Israelis then the settlements must stop. Israel cannot just do whatever it wants and expect the United States to back them up.

    • Tomas

The size of Israel means nothing. They are the covenant people. This nation, which once was great, is now on it’s way towards collapse. God no longer has our backs because we have chosen to turn our backs on him. Noone can deny Gods people, noone. And he will soon return to claim his own.

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/eerieSteve eerieSteve

Most importantly, the leaders of Israel provides freedom and liberty to their citizens. Outside of Iraq, no other Middle Eastern country does so.

Economically, Israel recently broke the copper barrier on bandwidth, making possibly the most important technical breakthrough since the creation of the integrated circuit. State to state I would say more technical and engineering breakthroughs come out of Israel than any other of our allies, including Asia.

      • Edip Yuksel

So conveniently you forget about Turkey… Though Turkey has problem with Kurdish minority, albeit much less than Israel has with its Arab minority, Turkey is a democratic country and has more freedom than Israel. Anyone who is following the news about Turkey will know this fact. Israel is a racist, militarist theocracy.

So Israel is racist now, and that is coming from a typically Turkish retard whose country massacred at least 1.5 million Christian Armenians, and on top of that hundreds of thousands of Greek Orthodox Christians for no other reason that they were Christians. Turkey has excelled in ethnic cleansing – that is why Istanbul is less than 1% infidel today compared with beinfg 50% infidel only in 1914. Turks are lowlife par excellence, witness the brutal murder of Leeds United supporters arfter Leeds played Galatasaray in Turkey, and the monster who carried out the stabbings was a 6'5" stupid-looking pig ugly jerk who hardly had his wrists slapped on for two murders. That is Turkish barbarianism in action.

Israel may be a small country but it is never insignificant. It will always be important, and God has made it so. The land belongs to Israel, and the US has always recognized this FACT. No other nation on earth would put up with what Israel has put up with. Once again, there is no such animal as a “palestinian”. the arabs have so much more land than the Jews. But their greed, selfishness, pride and hatred make it impossible to just leave Israel to what tiny amount of land they have. the arabs act like a jealous spoiled sibling(which in reality, they are!)

      • Edip Yuksel

I agree with you on this. Jewish people are the natives of the holy land and Arabs are as racist as their enemies, the Zionists. But, this does not justify Israeli's massacres, terror, and killing of children and teenagers.

        • Democracy First

You believe Arab lies upon lies upon lies.

ISrael commits no massacres. It even sacrifices its own soldiers' lives to protect palestinians – that is, sends soldiers into dangerous land missions, when bombardment from the skies would accomplish the same goal at the cost of Palestinian lives. Israel responds to terror, rather than commits it. Israel more than any other nation, ever, to prevent civilian deaths, while it defends itself against those who aim to do as you accuse ISrael.

    • Cheryl

It is apparent you do not know your history and this may come as a great surprise to you but it is not Israel that needs the U.S. it is the U.S. that needs Israel. The God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob will take care of Israel. Jerusalem belongs to Israel and I guess they can build wherever they like without our permission. They are not telling us where we can build in D.C. I am so sorry to hear your comments and pray that you will come to a understanding of God's plan for His Jewish people.

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/Stephen_Brady Stephen_Brady

This American, for one, doesn't want credibility with the "Arab world". What does this gain the United States?

You have said, "Israel cannot just do whatever it wants and expect the United States to back them up." In response, I say that backing up allies is EXACTLY what allies are supposed to do.

If Obama wishes to break the alliance, he should do so. Indeed, I invite him to do so. Unfortunately for you, and all of the Left, there is not that much courage in the lecturer from Chicago (unless Gallup would show that it would be a popular move).

As for me, I will support Israel, come what may. Very soon, Israel may be the last bastion of freedom on the planet. That's worth fighting for …

    • concernedforusa

I cannot believe how naive you are. You think that US may have credibility with Arab world? They hate US first as a great Satan, and Israel second as a little Satan. If you also think that Obama has America's best interests in his heart, I feel pity for you.

      • Edip Yuksel

I do not have affinity with the Arab world, but any reasonable person will know that the hate against America is bred and nourished because of USA-Inc's unconditional support to the fascist Zionist regime.

    • Pablo

and we want credibility with the Arab world why?

I wouldn't want credibility with them anymore than I want credibility with the KKK, Nazi Party or Che Guevara.

Credibility with a people who name schools after mass murderers….what an idiotic desire.

    • JLE

Jerusalem is not a settlement and has NEVER been subject to building restrictions. What credibility with the Arabs would you seek to obtain? The Arab world is a Stone Age civilization (for the most part) that oppresses it’s citizens such as the so-called Palistinians and let’s not forget the women, and the only free country in the whole area is Israel! You Lefties should all be sentenced to live in a world your ideals would establish. It’s amazing the degree of ignorance and arrogance you people maintain.

      • Dwayne

I agree with you. If any one thinks that the Arabs are not dogs, maybe they sould live them for a while. I bet they would have a whole new perspective on the middle east.

        • Edip Yuksel

The same statements were used by Nazi's against Jews. You are as racist az fascist Nazis. You are the enemy of Jews. Jewish people suffered from racism and now you are trying to create another holocaust, this time against "animal Arabs." I hope you learn a lesson from history.

          • Democracy First

If the Arabs would seek peace, no one here would be angry at them or otherwise strike you as racist. We all want peace on a live and let live basis. Would that were reciprocated. It isn't. Arab states want peace on the basis of we submit to Islam. Nothing else will do. And when an Arab leader tries to change that, he's likely to be assassinated – consider Sadat. Same for Arab moderates. Countless Palestinians have been murdered for teh crime of wanting a real 2 state peace with ISrael.

          • http://intensedebate.com/people/Swemson Swemson

Dwayne was doing a disservice to dogs with what he said above. Dogs give love and companionship to people, Arabs do just the opposite, and so far as I can see, contribute noting to civilized society.

If you have a problem with Dwayne, then you're always going to have a problem with America. So why don't don't you get smart, and just get out of here, and go live with the rest of your pack of barbaric and uncivilized brethren?

    • Elle

Why would America want to have this "credibility" with these terror- approving-poor -excuse to human race religious fanatics? – You talk of credibility because IT IS NOT America they want to wipe off the face of the earth. I mean not yet. IF you are capable of imagining that America is the size of Delaware surrounded by Arab and Muslim countries that are from California to Florida (again you are imagining this) and these countries that are a majority collectively want to get a piece of Delaware too- that is a minority – what would you really do? I mean what would you really do?
Please think! Really, you need to think about this. But don't ask an anti-semite his or her perspective. This analogy applies to people with a sound mind and who are not racists.

    • Turbeaux

First of all, the Dar al Islam’s jihad against Israel is permanent and the peace process is taqiyya, or jihad by stealth, but apparently you are too naïve and gullible to understand that. Second, the so-called Palestinians and their inalienable rights were created out of whole cloth and in reality they are nothing but the proxies of the Dar al Islam used to keep the pressure on Israel until the final assault can come. Third, Obama’s acceptance of the Saudi Peace Plan, which calls for Israel to return to the indefensible 1949 Armistice lines and to accept 5 million new hostile Muslims citizens is not really a peace plan, but instead a call for Israel’s destruction. Not to mention that even UNSCR 242 rejected the notion of Israel being forced to return to the indefensible 1949 Armistice lines and prior to Obama every US President had embraced UNSCR 242. Fourth, the reality is there is no peace possible, as Israel was formerly part of the Dar al Islam and land that was once part of the Dar al Islam must always remain part of the Dar al Islam. Thus, the jihad against Israel, like all the other jihads around the world the Dar al Islam is also pursuing besides the one against Israel is permanent, and there isn’t anything anyone can do to change that reality. Fifth, Israel is not the fount of all Muslim treachery, as the Dar al Islam is motivated by their obligation to make Islam supreme throughout the world. Sixth, Islam is not a Religion of Peace™ being hijacked by a tiny minority of radicals. It is a virulent totalitarian ideology that cloaks itself as being a religion. The religious cloak is the Trojan Horse Islam uses to infiltrate the cultures, nations, and civilizations it seeks to destroy and replace with Islamic totalitarianism. Seventh, the Dar al Islam is the enemy of not only Israel but of the USA and indeed the entire free non-Islamic world, as the Dar al Islam fully intends to subsume us via the imposition of Sharia. Eight, you need to go buy a clue!

The U.S. is in huge trouble. Israel will be fine without the support of the U.S. In fact, Netanyahu should break with the U.S., stop trying to win approval and support of a country that is willing to throw her under the bus. The nations around the world will turn against Israel no matter what she does. Doesn't matter. Israel has the army of G-d behind her- that's the only army that matters.

"On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves." Zechariah 12:3

I have said it before and I'll repeat it now, Barack Hussein Osama is the "Manchurian Candidate". His base in the Democrat Party is marxist. His life's story is embued in radical anti-americanism. He absorbed it from his mother's milk. His "posse" has a plan for the radical transformation of our country into another declining western nation, a la England or France. The stupid ones who voted for him, and now feel betrayed have done damage to our nation that is almost irreversable. He expects to make Israel as vulnerable as posible to it's enemies. The Clintons have always been closet anti-semites, and Hilary is playing her jewish ex-constituents from New York, with "brio". I don't assert that they and BHO want a nuclear Iran, but their studied weakness is quite telling. All I can say is, that under these circumstances, I support Israel's preventive strike against Iran even with nuclear weapons.

  • http://intensedebate.com/people/Indioviejo Indioviejo

I know this is an horrendous scenario, but it is a fit epilogue for a play that started with Bush 41, then Clinton, Bush43, and the closing act will be played by Barack Hussein Osama. This inability to act to prevent nuclear proliferation by savage nations (Pakistan), and Iran, is nothing if not a complete dereliction of duty. Only a miracle can prevent this coming war, and hopefully we will be by Israel's side against America's enemies; Islam. What in the world made American Jews elect BHO?

    • Howard

American Jews (especially Reform) are Democrats who go to services two or three times a year. They inherently think the GOP is Anti-Semitic, while they turn a blind eye to the pro-Palestinian left wing base. However, I think a change may be coming. Just as blacks were Republican until FDR, I think a larger percentage of American Jews will gravitate to the GOP. The permanent left-wing tilt of the Democrats should cause a good number to boly.

Israel Is a wonderful, loyal ally to the US. She shares American values. Though I am an avowed atheist, former Christian, I was embraced with open arms on my trip to Israel. Everyone I met was respectful of my religious beliefs and proud of their democracy. They yearn to be like America, and truly want peace. I visited Bethelehem, East Jerusalem and some other heavily Arab sections of Israel. It is incredible the government services that Israel provides (public transit, police, fire, etc). I voted for Obama once, but I will never vote for him again. He is wrong. He should be supporting our ally I srael, because Israel is the only country in the Middle east that wants to portray American values. What the hell is he thinking?

If there was an Academy Awards ceremony for terrorism, Israel would sweep every category—and every acceptance speech would have to thank the government of the United States, whose generous support has made Israel the most successful terrorist state in the world.
How do you measure the success of terrorism? Is it by the numbers of civilians killed, maimed and terrorized or the level of disruption and fear brought to people’s daily lives? Israel scores very highly on both these counts.
Israel has its own special way of recognizing the achievements of its great terrorists—by electing them its prime minister. There are no less than three Israeli prime ministers who have long terrorist histories.

American Jews need to wake up and start calling their Senators and Representatives and demanding that that they stop supporting Obama and his anti-Jewish agenda. To bb5
A Palestinian journalist stated in his speech in Canada that state cannot be given, it must be built by its people -I could not agree more. Israel's terrorists as you call them, while resisting British authority by blowing up bridges and buildings, not wives and children of British soldiers, built hospitals, universities, schools, administrative buildings, banks and settlements in the then barren land long before anyone cared to think of "granting" them the right to do so. They came to Israel from all over the world to break their backs and toil the land, grow crops, dry the wetlands and develop what Mark Twain described in his visit to Israel in the end of the 19th century:
“….. A desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds… a silent mournful expanse…. a desolation…. we never saw a human being on the whole route…. hardly a tree or shrub anywhere. Even the olive tree and the cactus, those fast friends of a worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.”
Those terrorists, as you call them, waited long enough for the world to do them a "favor", and let them live in their homeland.Do not expect them to thank the world for that or wait for their apologies for the fact they are still alive despite thousands years of effort on the world's part to wipe them off.
Dying on their knees to please you is not high on Israel's citizens agenda.Being a pawn in anyone's political game neither. So you can continue in your name-calling, jew-hating, marxist righteous ranting – WE DO NOT CARE !!!!!!!!!!!!
You can keep the price too – your achievements in this field overshadow by far anything Israel allegedly did, does or will ever do in the future: 270 millions murdered by Muslims , over 50 millions murdered jointly by Hitler and Stalin, the same number of Chinese slaughtered for the greater good of Mao Dze Dong and we have not mentioned North Korea, Cuba, – you communist like the big numbers !
The new war is coming, war of your making, in which untold millions of people are going to perish,be maimed and terrorized , because such as you prefer to live in total ignorance of the obvious and care not about lives of others if they interfere with your delusions.
Alas, it is a waste of time talking to you, I'd better off supporting my terrorist prime-minister in his near futile, as far as I can see, attempts to prevent this awful scenario from happening.

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/DVG DVG

I don't think very many have thought this through. I agree with you. The war is coming. I really don't see as to how it can be avoided now. This war is not going to benefit anyone. Tragically, if Russia, China and the Europeans wanted to have avoided this, it could have been. Even now, with all on board, it could be avoided. There is ample evidence otherwise.

Iran will wait until it has one or two dozen nukes, then let rip. One word of advice to the US Navy…I'd be carefull of suicide submarines. The first blow is likely an Iranian sub getting close enough to the fleet then blowing itself up with a nuke.

      We may have three years.

  • http://intensedebate.com/people/WildJew WildJew

PM Netanyahu set a very bad precedent, caving to Obama's demand for a construction freeze in Judea and Samaria. I guess it is easy for me to judge, not being in Netanyahu's shoes, under intense pressure from this Israel-hater. The point is, the US has been turning on Israel for several years now. Former President George W. Bush, took the US and the Republican party to a new low when he made the establishment of a Muslim-terror state in Israel a "formal goal of US policy," early October 2001. Now we have a Muslim-born president who is taking Bush's policies to the vicious new low. Should Netanyahu cave to Obama's demands for a freeze on building in Jerusalem (Israel's capital) where will it end? Sadly, Israel is much too much dependent on America, and Netanayhu naively believes in the Americans' essential goodness; in America's sense of fairness, etc., when nothing could be further from the truth.

  • http://intensedebate.com/people/WildJew WildJew

Should the Netanyahu government fall and be replaced a (US puppet) Kadima-led government, I fear for Israel's short-term future. Islamic savagery will not be abated should Israel withdraw from more land under a Prime Minister Livni or a Prime Minister Ehud Barak. Copious Jewish blood will flow, I fear, in such an event.

    • Peter E. Coleman

If Obama gets his puppet, the show is as good as over. Kadima "lost' two wars while Bush covered them above what his Poll numbers would be expected to allow. Obama "won't allow" either to act. Some choice, Warsaw or Treblinka.

  • von Starkermann

To All: The Jews are not Conservatives. Far from it. They are Socialists, Communists, Marxists and they voted en masse for their God King Obama. Every important Communist was a Jew or inspired from Jews. Nothing has changed. Don't look for Jewish support in the USA for anything dealing with Israel. Only look to the Christians if you expect the State of Israel to survive.

  • nightowl

Israel is the only country in the Middle East to share our values at least of free speech and the valuing of human lives just because they ARE human. As such she and we are natural allies because in our very existence we represent each other. Furthermore, Israel is the only RELIABLE country in the ME. She is not a back-stabber. Israel is also possibly our most valuable ally on the planet militarily. She has technological genius, great intelligence, and her soldiers are exceptionally well-trained, strong, and effective. At this moment in our history it is up to US to live up to our ally Israel, and hope that our "leader's" treatment of her this time has not been so shabby she'll have nothing more to do with us.

For heaven's sake! The "Arab" world is Islamic and mostly wants us enslaved or dead! They're not going to respect our humanity–their "religion" forbids it. They will only respect us in the sense of respecting our power to overcome them if they try to destroy us. That can only happen if we show ourselves to be a strong, courageous, effective enemy. So there's no point whatsoever in pandering to them.

Israel is in fact indispensible to our national defense. It's unfortunate from her point of view, but she is our advance guard in the ME. We must support her and her right to exist, and SHOW that support, both to Israel and to the bullies surrounding her, with deeds as well as words.

Make no mistake: We need Israel very, very much…maybe now more than ever.

The US and Israel share the value of free speech but does Obama?

    • Ron Grant

While on the surface Israel would appear to share many important values with her American ally, and indeed does,we must never dismiss, however conveniently, her abuse of human rights in the face of world criticism. While this abuse does not normally impact on you and I,(unless you are a foreign journalist in the gunsights of an IDF member,or an American female human rights activist demonstrating against the internationally prohibited policy of collective punishment, or one of the tens of thousands of Palestinian refugees denied their birthright),it is important to recognize that Israel also shares less noble and more sinister values with the likes of past regimes such as Apartheid South Africa and the more gentle but none the less racial regime of Ian Smith of Rhodesia. It is unfortunate that after Ian Smith turned the gem that was Rhodesia over to an African government the dream became a nightmare and a failed exampleof the de-colonialization process.A frightening and indeed sobering prospect for the Jews of Israel. Nothing new under the sun, quoting the Tanach.

We are alone, with Hashem. We can't count on anyone. This is not a slight to the many Evangelicals who support Israel. It's simply a fact, as most of those Evangelicals require our conversion as the ultimate price for their support.

We have unknowable strength as Bnei Yisrael, the Children of Israel. We are a people, despite the floundering. When Lieberman 'shores up' Bibi, he does so out of love. For all the harsh words about Livni and Olmert, they are Jews who tried, and partly succeeded and partly failed.

The United States is a better country than BHO, and will recover itself. The Jews, however, will always depend on themselves and only themselves, and Hashem. He is our rock and our strength and our inspiration, whether we are fully religious or not so much.

Thanks to Hornik for his articles. I have been a critic in the past, but David's love for his Jews also shines through.

Our President is a remarkable antisemite. Watching, first as my Senator and then my President it is clear, he likes some things and dislikes others. He likes muslims, very much so. He hugs and touches them, he bows to them. Jews are another matter. They produce scowls, unhappy baby looks and acute discomfort.
It is a subject that my countrymen would rather ignore, in fact they run from it.

Unless the CIA or FBI release the tapes of Obama relaying our National Security secrets, strategies, future strategies, and military secrets, to an aid in his inner circle who is then directed to pass them on to our enemies!

In a more open process, a Congressman from California is demanding hearings on promise of a White House job to a man if he ended his Senate run against Arlen Spector. This Senate candidate openly revealed it and is now quiet. Another bribe from the White House but this time, it's illegal! Didn't the Dems go after Rove and Libby for years of endless hearings only to find out what they knew the guilty party in the beginning of the process? Then Libby was caught lying about a non-crime unrelated to him? Go after this Democrat who will save his skin from jail time to reveal the ones who bribed him!

One thing that Obama and his crew may have noticed:

Benjamin Netanyahu is not the former Czech President Hacha …

  • Jonah

Netanyahu is Israel's best man to deal with Obama and his Arab collaborators. This man has integrity and discretion. Obama and his arrogant global-socialist one-world sycophants treat Israel as if she were a satellite. Israel is Israel and not the PA, a phony terrorist organization set up to appease the fools in the west. The US needs Israel much more than vice-versa. As it is today, Netanyahu should limit the damage to the relationship by diplomacy, give nothing and let Obama fail as he surely will anyway. When a new US government is elected, Israel can put the screws to the terrorists in Gaza and negotiate from a position of strength, dictating terms of peace.

  • trickyblain

To all those who feel that Israel can get away with anything it wants because "God" has choesn them, let "God" give them money for aid and a military and grant them survival. Why do they need the US when they have "God"?

I do support Israel – not because of some 4,000 year old script, but because the Jews have persevered through things no group should never have to go through. That, and they have transformed the land from desert into productive terrain. And of course they are a democracy (although it's amusing to hear conservatives call them one with all their social programs for health care, etc).

What I cannot stomach is those who tell us that they are entitled based on being better, in "God's" eyes, than anyone else. I say to those folks, if you are indeed so special, and indeed "God" sees you as his favorites, why not refuse any and all aid? If "God" truly has your backs, the US needs you alot more than you need them. What are you waiting for? What is "God" waiting for?

    • cochavi1

The claim that we say we are 'better' than anyone else is nothing but jealous interpretation. It reveals your insecurity, that's it.

When I write for instance that 'we only have Hashem' it has nothing to do with feeling superior to you. It has to do with referring to the source of our strength and reminding other Jews and friends of Israel of that strength. We are proud that we come from the people that invented the Commandments, and we are aware of that heritage, and its obligations.

Your last paragraph is full of juvenile anger, as usual. I have written on these pages for years now and have never claimed that America is or should be expected to be the great friend of Israel. I have written that she was basically neutral; under Obama she is less than that. I have warned other Jews not to rely on the US, so your logic is as flawed as your motivation.

      • Gar

With all due respect, your people did not "invent" the commandments. They were given to you. There is a big difference.

    • Gar

The reason why it is important to support Israel is because God–Elohim–said that He would bless all those who bless Israel. The opposite is also true: those who oppose Israel will be crushed.

Another thing to consider: we continue to look at worldly mechanisms to either support or detract from Israel's existence. However, the prophetic clock is ticking and it cannot be reversed. The events prophesied of old are right on schedule…and they cannot be stopped.

We can whine, moan, complain about this or that. We can even share what we think is going to happen from an economic, sociological or statist point of view. But, all of your prognostications will fall flat.

For some 2000 years, Daniel's 70 weeks have been on hold. The last 7 years being delayed until the prophetic time was right. When Israel retook Jerusalem in 1967, God took time off of "auto pilot" and started steering the prophetic ship again. Now, all of the events you are seeing are being orchestrated by someone who is not asking for your permission to do so.

May God bless Israel as Jerusalem will forever be her capital.

  • Andre (Canada)

I bet the next step will be for some resolution to be passed at the UN Security Council against Isreal, this time with the US voting in favor of it. Rmember that until now, Israel has been condemned by the UN General Assembly many times but this has no legal ramification. The UN Security Council, on another hand, is where international law comes into play. Violations of these resolutions is what gave the UN/US the right to invade Iraq. This will put Israel in violation of mandatory compliance and will allow the UN to escalate pressure on Israel by threatening military action. It will eventually lead to a contingent of Arab, African and other "blue berrets" being stationed in the West Bank and Gaza to protect the Palestinians from "Isreali aggression".
    Just watch.

    • Edip Yuksel

Why not? Israel has been crying victim against Palestinian terrorists for decades, hasn't it? Teenagers throwing rocks at invading forces of Zionists… Since Israel has been such a poor victim of terrorism, why not let the UN protect them from Palestinian terrorists? At least let the UN take the risk. American people are learning day by day who is the real aggressor, the terrorist, the fascist bully in the region.

      • xman

When the day comes that we in the West allow the Israelis to protect themselves from terrorism, instead of foolishly preventing the Israelis from destroying Hamas, Hezbollah etc, the Israelis will need no protection, anyway they get no protection from the UN, imbecilic barbarian. And it is time us Westerners stopped giving our money to third rate Islamic shitholes like the Gaza Strip, Egypt, Pakistan and Turkey. You're not grateful for it anyway, eh Hitler-loving, Jew-hating toilet bowl dweller. And I suggest you give up your computer as many of its components are made in Israel. LIkewise, its time lowlifes like yourself stopped taking medicines when ill, as most of them were discovered by the very Jews you hate. Let your primitive devil-god sort it out.

      • http://intensedebate.com/people/Stephen_Brady Stephen_Brady

And if the Arab/Muslim countries would simply take the Palestinians into their countries and assimilate them, there would not be but a few "Palestinian terrorists". The PALs are the club that you all use to beat Israel with, and her supporters in the United States.

Buraq Hussein prior to this meeting deliberately diverted a shipment of bunker-busters designated for Israel. Officials said the U.S. military was ordered directly by President Obama to divert a shipment of smart bunker-buster bombs from Israel to a military base in Diego Garcia. They said the shipment of 387 smart munitions had been slated to join pre-positioned U.S. military equipment in Israel Air Force bases.

Oh just fantastic. Irsrael is denied weapons it has already paid for and Vladimir Putin, Russia’s prime minister, promised on Thursday that Moscow would help Iran complete a civil nuclear power station by this summer and will ship the S300 anti aircraft platforms and missles. Of course, not a peep out of the clandestine Muslim Marxist Buraq Hussein Obama.

    • USMCSniper

And oh yes, Barry Obambi as Putin calls him, and his hag Secretary of State Clinton announce nuclear arms reduction with Russia — while Putin says once Russia has completed deployment of its own fifth-generation fighter, the Sukhoi PAK FA (same as our F-22), Russia must proceed with designing a brand-new nuclear-capable strategic bomber (same as our B-2, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on just this Monday. In the meantime Russia plans to expand its fleet of the more modern, supersonic Tupolev Tu-160 "Blackjack" jet bombers, the world's biggest warplane built so far. And the Russians and Chinese are jointly developing the S-400 anti aircraft platforms which makes all our fighters and bombers outside the F-117 and B-2 just target drones at 200 miles out plus at any altitude. AND THEY WILL SELL THESE WEAPONS TO CHINA AS WELL! Let me see, Buraqwheat Whatshisname has cancelled the F-22 fighter program, cancelled the cruise missle replacement program, delayed by two years and also cut in half the F-36 stealth fighter program, and cancelled future B-2 Bomber procurements.

Obama sees the world through the prism of socialism. Israel was created as a product of Imperialism and capitalism. Israel, like the United States, is an evil imperialist entity. Obama believes that all problems of the Middle East are as a result of Israel's existence as supported by the evil US. How would socialist Obama solve the problem? Bring America to its knees economically and militarily and destroy and remove the one imperialist impediment to peace in the Middle East. Israel. Obama truly believes that a Middle East without Israel would bring peace to the region. I believe, Obama believes that the world without Taiwan, another capitalist stooge state, would also bring peace to Asia. • K2P

I took this from a recent article:
There never was a Palestinian people, nation, language, culture, or religion.

Back on March 31, 1977, the Dutch newspaper Trouw published an interview it had with Palestine Liberation Organization executive committee member Zahir Muhsein. This is what he had to say:

The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today, there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians, and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism.

For tactical reasons, Jordan , which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa , Jaffa , Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem . However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine , we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.

The reason there is a fuss over Jerusalem is that God has claimed this city as His eternal capital. Satan is doing everything he can to wrestle control away from the Jews. The diplomatic struggle we see now will eventually lead to open warfare against all of Israel.

    • Edip Yuksel

Israel has no friends in the world. What a dire situation for a tiny country surrounded by vicious savages intent on destroying it. It has survived this long only because the United States has been its only friend and supporter. Now Obama, the monster Satan has unleashed on us, has joined the ranks of Israel's enemies. Israel, when not dispersed to many corners of the world, depended on one friend only – its God. Many think this God is a myth, a fabrication, an invention of primitive minds. We may finally see whether the God of Israel is a myth. For thousands of years He has reminded them that if they trust in Him then He will save them from all their enemies. Maybe its time that the Israelis trusted God again instead of those who are ready to betray them in Washington. Obama is the new Pharoh who wants to enslave Israel. They will find no deliverance in him.

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/Stephen_Brady Stephen_Brady

I agree with what you said.

Earlier, I posted a statement that Netanyahu is not the former Czech President Emil Hacha. This was a reference to Hitler's shameful treatment of Dr. Hacha when this frail old man was browbeaten at the Chancellery in Berlin, when the Nazis gobbled up what was left of his country. Bibi is NOT a frail old man, and he will defend his country against the likes of the Obama, and his ilk.

You're quite right when you say that Israel will find no deliverance in would-be fascist dictator of the United States. I pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and for the courage of Prime Minister Netanyahu.

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/Swemson Swemson

While I appreciate the fact that you're on Israel's side, as am I, it's hard to frame a rational reply to your comment.

If God has been protecting the Jewish people from their enemies for thousands of years, how can you not ask why they've always been the most persecuted people on earth. If "God" was looking out for them, how can you possibly explain the abuse they've suffered over the last 2,000 years? And why do you imply that the cause of their current plight is that they stopped "trusting god"?

So now we have Islam, roughly 20% of the world's population, all joined together in their hatred of the Jews, roughly 0.2% of the world's population, and their desire to destroy Israel, because they know for FACT that THEIR'S is the one true God, and others who suggest that all the Israelis have to do is trust in THEIR God in order to survive once again.

Am I the only one here who asks the question of whether this madness would even exist if it wasn't for the very concept of God in the first place?

      • Peter E. Coleman

God may have his favorite but he has denied no one salvation or redemption. Judgment may just depend upon how we accept Gods choice in this matter. Scripture sure seems to suggest that this would be true.

      • Dwayne

Why is it that people, who have never studied or even read the Holy Bible and know nothing about the history of the Jewish people, think they can comment on something they know nothing about?

        • http://intensedebate.com/people/Swemson Swemson

Why is it that religious people automatically assume that anyone who doesn't share their belief in supernatural beings has never studied religion or read the bible?

There's a certain arrogance to religious people who simply know for a fact that their beliefs are right and anyone who has different beliefs is wrong. That arrogance, when taken to its ultimate extremes, makes some people think that they're justified in killing people who don't share their beliefs. Some Christians used to burn witches, but they've grown out of that phase of their history. Islam on the other hand has not.

I may not believe in supernatural beings, but I still respect most people who do. I believe in the virtually unlimited potential of the human mind, no matter how it came to be, and that EVERY man should be free to believe whatever he wants to believe, as long as those beliefs do not cause him to do harm to others.

Religion brings out such passionate feelings in so many people that I believe it must be completely divorced from government. Proof in point, Iran, and Islam. That's not to say however, that the religious principles and values of our founding fathers shouldn't be recognized, much less be abandoned.

All of the other religions have produced people who have made extraordinary contributions to our culture and its development. Islam, on the other hand, is a disease and should be dealt with as such.

Although I'm not Jewish, I once asked much the same questions to an Orthodox Rabbi (who had survived the Holocaust). What he told me was that suffering is one of unique aspects of having been chosen.

I asked him, "Why is that so? Why does God want His chosen people to suffer?" Please not that I was very young, at the time.

He replied, "God does not want His people to suffer. But people who have been chosen will be hated by other people. Also, when a people is chosen by God, He expects them to obey His laws. When they don't, He allows them to be persecuted, so that He can bring them back to Him."

You might have noted that the trust of the Israeli people in God has resulted in their survival. It will continue to do so, as long as they obey His laws and precepts. And we also have a declining nation here in the United States, in which 80% of American Jews voted for the persecutor of Israel.

        Interesting, no?

    President Obama is a disgrace.
He is also an extremely shallow thinker, and his immersion in Anti-Americanism during his college years bubbles to the surface never so egregiously as it does when conducting foreign affairs. He despises the traditions of this nation, especially when it comes to standing up against school-yard bullies that torment loyal allies.

Also, as is fitting someone who has emerged from the radical extrusion mills of the American Academy, he is virulently Anti-Jew. He hangs with self-loathing Jews, he deeply admires venomous anti-Semites like the disgusting Jeremiah Wright and the froot-loops Calypso Louis Farrakhan.

The disgusting, evil interlude of the Obama Presidency will be besotted with many sad chapters. His ill-treatment of the heroic Benjamin Netanyahu will be especially pathetic.

People who advocate caving in on Israel to garner brownie points with Muslims don’t realize that Islam is at war not only with just Israel but also with the entire free non-Islamic world as well. I know a lot of people have been inculcated to hate and despise Jews, but the fact remains sacrificing Israel would be like sacrificing a part of our own body to feed cancer. It would just make the cancer more virulent and vicious and thus would be ludicrous.

The crux of the issue is precisely that. Islam is the problem. I weighed this on my mind for a long time after 9/11. My conclusion is Islam, all of it is the problem. I was confronted by 3 Muslims in Amsterdam in the fall of 2002. I was respectfull, and had not reached any conclusion as of then regarding Islam. I made several points. I treated them with defference as I was respectfull of being in another nation. A question I asked them failed to bring a satisfactory response.

The question? Do you want to get along with the rest of the world?

After receiving no response, I made my last point. Should another 9/11 happen again, the response would be more severe.

That statement did receive a response. One where the three became animated and left.

Draw what conclusions you want. For me, it was part of the process that formed my opnion of Islam. I don't believe peace and Islam are compatible.

The Palestinians do not want peace….they never have…they never will. They want the ground on which the Israeli's stand…..nothing less. One need only examine the chronology of "peace talks" and their results for irrefutable proof of Arab hostility and intransigence. Dealing with the Palestinians specifically, and the Arab world generally from any position other than one of power backed by ready overwhelming force is naive, uneducated folly.

I would love to see Netenyahu debate Obama without Obama using a teleprompter. Netenyahu runs circles around Obama intellectual. Obama is a an Obamination and a threat to America's existence. He has no loyalty to anyone other than socialists, marxists, and terrorists. Affirmative action violates every constitutional principle the founding fathers imposed in writing that once great document. Once the constitution became open for interpretation and free speech became a nullity the opportunity for a minority demagogue to take power became a reality. Kind of reminds me of when a certain set of unusual occurances happened in Germany which led to the rise of another infamous World leader. Obama is leading the World down a similar path of destruction and America will never be the same. I truly pity those who through ignorance or denial remain blind.

Israel took land, as is it’s right, during war when they were attacked by several cowardly Arab nations. The Obama admin. has forced the Israelis to kowtow to the palestinians ( that’s right, no capitalization ) while not holding hamas and the palestinians accountable, for anything.
Where was your outrage when Jordan controlled the territory? Where was the push for a palestinian homeland? Spare me your outrage and cowardice, please.

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/Swemson Swemson

Your garbage should be banned from this website, rolled up, and shoved up your most holy of holies.

Israel knows that the best defense is a good offense. When you know your enemies are trying to kill you, hunting them down and killing them before they have a chance to attack you is 100% justifiable… When Israel does so, it isn't an offensive action, it's pure self defense.

    Do not miss this video:
No! to peace at any price.
To cry peace, peace, when there is no peace, as the Jewish prophet, Jeremiah, taught us long ago, is not an expression of hope but a foolish and dangerous abrogation of reality. It dulls the mind and the aspiration of a people who then become lost and blinded under a veritable veil of deception. Peace is impossible for a nation like Israel without its own demonstration of unassailable military strength and its utter rejection of concessions to an implacable enemy. The Arab world respects strength. It treats concessions with complete and utter scorn. It considers overtures of peace as a sign of weakness and becomes emboldened in its aggression. Enough! No more concessions :

And Turks have a long history of buitchering infidels – every place in Europe that had the misfortune to be in the way of invading Ottoman armies could expect to see its citizens butchered in cold blood, like the Christians in Constantinople in 1453, and that broad line of blood continued all the way to Vienna, where, mercifully, the defenders of Vienna triumphed in 1529, and later, John Sobieski in 1683. That ought to have been the start of a Crusade to rid Europe of Islam and destroy the Ottoman Empire by 1700, and would have been if Jan Sobieski had his way. That would have been payback for butchering Christians and kidnapping their children to serve as slave soldiers, and sex slaves for fat greasy 60 year old Turks. Israel is a far better country that Turkey. It is civilized, democratic, free, tolerant and advanced – everything that backward Hitler-loving antisemitic shithole Turkey isn't.

One single statement covers it all:

“If the Palestinians laid down their guns seeking peace, their could be peace tomorrow. If Israel laid down their guns seeking peace, tomorrow there would be no Israel”! History has proven this for 3000 years. The State of Israel is the Jewish homeland, they have full right to defend it, as any other Country has the right to defend itself.

Maybe at long last America's Jews will see the light. The difference between Muslims and American Jews is simple – the former produce suicide bombers – the latter produce suicide voters. Bibi also made a mistake, though. He shouldn't have gone to the White House when Obama called him. He should have sent one of his ministers; the most combative and profane one. Israel came into being and survived umpteen attacks without America's help and it can do so in the future. Most Americans support Israel. We didn't see any Israelis dancing in the street celebrating 9/11 but we saw lots of Palestinians celebrating the death of 3,000 Americans. Even if the African in the White House doesn't know the difference between America's friends and foes, we do.

It seems there is lot of these Nazi/Jew trolls frequenting these boards , they don’t realize that Iran doesn’t need a nuke to wipe them out , simple invincible truth will do . Here it goes :

USA and Israel are Christian and Jew as much as Bin Laden is a Muslim, we might and most probably will later find out that they all have been part of the same team all along !
I thought the basis of Christianity was love! Love thy neighbor.
Go occupy his land/home and kill him if he resists.
If the Nazis had infiltrated the USA as well as these Israelis they ,no doubt, would be around today doing what the Israelis are doing only wider a field .
They have learnt well from the abuse they received from Hitler : controlling media , turning the truth on its head by professional spin doctoring news ,racism, concentration camps, occupying lands belonging to others and finally always blaming the victim ….the lot !
what remains is what ,we who know , do about it ?
By doing nothing history will be unforgiving and unkind to today’s America for allowing itself to be used in such a way ….

    • The Truth Teller

Because of Americas blind support for Israel regardless of the atrocities that have been committed in Palestine, Israel it seems is able to get away with almost anything. By doing so, the United States support of this tyrannical state is changing world opinion about the United States. In effect Iran now has the world community on its side and USA and Israel are the ones who are isolated. There are some 100 countries preparing aid ships to send to Gaza.
Waiting for the change Obama promised has developed into nothing but the change in Michel’s wardrobe .

Without American support Israel’s government would lynched as a rogue terrorist state which they are .
What a paranoid and quality less life god has in store for you and you think you are clever!
