Climate science is under assault, progress towards a treaty to end global warming is shuddering to a halt, and Barack Obama is struggling to press on with his clean energy agenda. This was the last conversion to the environmental cause that anybody would have wanted. In a new audiotape that surfaced today on the al-Jazeera network, Osama bin Laden has pronounced himself a believer in climate change and blames America and other industrialised economies for failing to rein in greenhouse gas emissions that are warming the atmosphere.”Speaking about climate change is not a matter of intellectual luxury — the phenomenon is an actual fact,” the tape says according to al-Jazeera. “All of the industrialized countries, especially the big ones, bear responsibility for the global warming crisis.”

    I agree with Osama.

Bin Laden’s diatribe rambles through much of American’s recent history of involvement in defending democracy around the world from the prospective of radical Islam. Ironically, it’s another case where his complaints are strikingly well aligned with the complaints of America’s radical left wing.

As examples, Bin Laden accuses Bush and Cheney and the “neo-cons” of having blood on their hands from the Iraq and Afghanistan “invasions,” where innocent Muslims where slaughtered and enslaved. As with the American left, Bin Laden praises liberal icon Noam Chomsky as an intellectual giant, chides the U.S. for excessive spending on military imperialism, and declares that democratic capitalism has failed. Bin Laden also criticizes Democrats for being too timid to stop America’s failed “war on terror” that has killed so many of Bin Laden’s Muslin brothers.

For the first time since 9/11, Osama Bin Laden has taken up the progressive cause to stop global warming. Bin Laden says, “All of mankind is in danger because of the global warming resulting in a large degree from the emissions of the factories of the major corporations, yet despite that, the representative [SIC] of the corporations in the White House insists on not observing the Kyoto accord, with the knowledge that the statistics speaks [SIC] of the death and displacement of the millions of human beings because of that….”

Just as true as is the saying “politics makes strange bedfellows”; it is even stranger in the area of ecopolitics. Here we have “the environmentalist” Osama Bin Laden politically aligned with Al Gore, the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, President Obama, Congressional Democrats and thousands of green nonprofit groups. I guess these fellow travelers can now be identified as “Climategate deniers.”

How appropriate that terrorist Osama backs Obama's grand plans to jack energy prices up through the "cap & tax" monstrosity bill in order to combat the global warming nonsense. This movement will screw up our economy even more and make the public more dependent on the government. When a terrorist like Bin Laden has the same ideas as our current administration—well, that speaks volumes on how bad this administration is!!
