Here’s hoping that Bill O’Reilly doesn’t back down on his comments regarding Islam after his appearance on The View the other day. So far, he hasn’t. But tonight, Unibrow In Chief, Deepak Chopra is appearing on The O’Reilly Factor. Look for Chopra to spread his Islam propaganda once again. The New Age Psychobabbler with the one eyebrow has no credibility left to anyone who has studied the Qur’an and Mohammed. Yet he continues to obfuscate the truth in that all knowing haughty tone of his whenever he’s invited to chime in.
“So while we encourage moderate Muslims to stand up for themselves and speak out against the jihadis (a long-term project that, sadly, shows few signs of succeeding), here at home we have to revive the tradition of tolerance that the Bushies undermined. They seemed incapable of realizing that tolerance, and the civil rights that go with it, are more important by far than raw patriotism. (Notice that no one has ever said that toleration was the last refuge of scoundrels.) Obama walks a fine line, trying to preserve both patriotism and tolerance, a mission we should all support. Does the Islamic world, as the source of so much trouble and turmoil, not to mention so much backwardness in women’s rights and democratic freedom, deserve anyone’s apology? In their own eyes they do, and America should be strong enough to offer one. There’s error and wrongdoing on both sides. It’s no shame to be the first to admit it.”
Even Chopra admits that moderate Muslims can’t speak up against Jihadists for fear of being murdered, yet het hinks the West owes Islam an apology? What kind of madness is this? I suppose the Israelis owed Muslim extremists an apology when they murdered their Olympic team too. And the military must owe an apology to Islam because Major Hassan murdered our troops at Fort Hood.
Furthermore, Chopra is a liar when he says that “the Bushies undermined our tradition of tolerance.” Where is the proof of that? Where are the facts that Americans became intolerant of Muslims after 9/11? America bashing is alive and well on the left. That is expected. But how is it expected that all Americans must forgive those who attacked us? Or apologize to them? Only in Chopra’s world are America’s victims the bullies.
Ironically, as O’Reilly has pointed out, the same leftists who want Americans to bow down to Islam and apologize are the same people who regularly attack Christians and Jews. But where do Christians and Jews go to get tolerance and apologies from the left? And when are we finally allowed to speak our minds without being called bigots and extremists?
I am expecting O’Reilly to have a fair debate with Deepak Chopra, but also expect Chopra to cloud the issue with baseless platitudes that require Americans to bend over and smile while we’re doing it.
Chopra should know that will never, ever happen.
