Lies the Left Believes

Pages: 1 2

Thirty-one percent of Republicans, according to the Pew Research Center, believe that President Barack Obama is a Muslim. And more Republicans, 74 percent, than Democrats, 39 percent, oppose the construction of a mosque near ground zero. Thus, goes the argument, opposition to the proposed mosque stems from similar “right-wing” ignorance and Islamophobia.

Why do so many people think Obama is a Muslim? Are they lunatics?

Perhaps people base their assumption about Obama’s religion on what they believe Islam says about the matter. In a New York Times op-ed, Edward Luttwak, with the Center for Strategic and International Studies, wrote that Obama “chose to become a Christian.” But, Luttwak wrote: “As the son of the Muslim father, Senator Obama was born a Muslim under Muslim law as it is universally understood. It makes no difference that, as Senator Obama has written, his father said he renounced his religion. Likewise, under Muslim law based on the Koran his mother’s Christian background is irrelevant.”

Maybe some follow the lead of Hillary Clinton. When asked on “60 Minutes” whether she believes Obama is a Muslim, then-presidential candidate Clinton said, “Of course not. … There is no basis for that.” She said she goes on “the basis of what he says.” But she added, “There is nothing to base that on as far as I know” (emphasis added). She wasn’t called anti-Muslim.

Perhaps people believe Obama — who no longer belongs to a church — is a Muslim because of his 20-year association with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Wright’s church publication honored the anti-Semitic Nation of Islam’s Louis Farrakhan as a man who “truly epitomized greatness.”

Or maybe the more people oppose Obama’s policies the less they think of him as a person. Discontent breeds negative feelings. After the Dec. 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor, a majority of Americans believed that Germany was behind it. A large plurality of Americans, despite the lack of evidence, believed President Nixon planned the Watergate break-in that brought down his presidency.

As an Australian, am saying that recently in a University, a Moslem Cleric was invited to speak to a group. Afterwards, eighty signed up to become Moslems. However, there was an Asian ex Moslem person there who spoke up with the result that quite a few cancelled their applications. This is only Australia where Moslems have been arriving for maybe thirty years or so as migrants.

Some American's are over sensitive or maybe their problems are that you are too selfrighteous,

They kid themselves that they never think anything wrong about anyone. What is wrong with saying you are anti-Muslim because a) You are afraid of them. b) You do not trust them. c) You do not understand them. d) Because their Sharia laws are cruel and unfair and so on. What is wrong with telling the truth.

    • YeshuaisAdonai

Because people at large have deluded themselves into thinking it is wrong to have biases. There is nothing wrong with having biases. The question is "Are those biases legitimately defensible?" I have no problem being called anti-Islamic. I oppose it every chance I get. Until it reforms, which I doubt will happen, I will continue to oppose it.

      • philgee

In part as a difference between an individual evil and that group-think algorithm which Islam is, while here and there, we read the stories of serial killers and what not criminals who experience conversion–and especially with present Christian revivals now in prisons–those are very many which show Nazi leaders–for but one example–as having become even more radical in that twisted way as they approached end of life; and, I offer for your consideration that, to contemplate reformation of even one of them is in failure to correctly apprehend the true nature of that administrative evil, . . . and although they did find a natural affinity with the Nazis, the Moslems are far worse because the ideology far worse, . . .

        • YeshuaisAdonai

The reason I believe reform in Islam is long in its coming, if it ever will come, is it lacks all the necessary components that were present in Christianity for reform. One of the key factors of the Protestant reformation was direct access to the Bible for the laity. Something that had been denied them for so long. But that has never been an issue in Islam. Once a new region had been conquered arabization immediately ensued so that the new people could be taught their resposibilities as muslims. Furhtermore the closer the general populace of Islam get to its' religious texts the more violent they undoubtedly become.

My boss and I were discussing this the other day. Here's the deal: Liberals have an idea of what the world SHOULD look like. Unfortunately, hoping something is one way isn't the same as how it really is. Therefore, it is beyond their narrow realm of thought to believe that Obama is a Muslim. It simply just cannot be, in the mind of a liberal. The reality is that if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a f#@$^%$ duck!!!!

  • Richard

It is most proper and righteous to oppose Islam and all of it's works and plans. Islam at least in it's present form is just plain evil.

  • oldwolves

"It is obligatory for a Muslim to lie if the purpose is obligatory. That means that for the sake of abiding with Islam’s commandments, such as jihad, a Muslim is obliged to lie and should not have any feelings of guilt or shame associated with this kind of lying."

    From a previous posting here.

    Beverley,
How do you trust someone who is obligated to lie to you? Are you so blind that the thousands of deaths through out the world by Muslims was in honor of their beliefs? The greatest lie of Islam is the religion of peace ?
If I pee on your leg Beverley and tell you it's raining will you believe me?

    • Beverley

Your reply to my statement does not make sence. Where did I say that you should trust someone who lies to you. I said rather say you don't like them. You can't legislate a person's heart, which seems the left are always trying to do. You better love them ……or else.

  • stephencuz

The post started with the question concerning belief of Obama being a Muslim or not. This is irrelevant. The fact is EVERYTHING he has done is EXACTLY what a Muslim would do. Further, EVERYTHING he has done is EXACTLY what a Socialist would do. I don't care what title he uses it is his actions that evidences his loyalties.

  • "gunner"

islam has been at war with everyone it has come in contact with since its beginnings, killing and enslaving as they went. it is a "religion" of thieves and liars, nothing more.

  • sflbib

    Other lies the Left believes:

    1. Relativism

    2. Multi-culturalism

    3. Radical individualism

    4. Radical egalitarianism

    5. Pluralism

    • Patrick Henry

The Left are collectivists. Relativism, multiculturalism and egalitarianism are variants of the same. Radical Individualism is the antithesis of collectivism and can be summed up as "Give me liberty or give me death."

  • blotto

    And still more lies;
    1. the world revolves around them
    2. they are more intelligent
    3. they have a sense of humor
    4. they and islam will live together peacefully in a just, kind, tolerant world
    5. that blacks need them or they will never find self-actualization
    6. that money grows on trees and everybody can have the same amount
    7. that affirmative action has been a success
    8. that welfare has helped blacks achieve a modicum of independence
    9. that their women are hotter
    10. that their vision of America's future is paved with their good intentions

    • MsJuJuB

Also, they are the only ones with compassion and intelligence to make everything and everyone equal with universal economic and social "justice".

The tenor of this article is wrong:
The Prophet Jeremiah speaks of that time coming when: "And no more shall the wicked man be called, 'liberal'.".
From about forty year's time on the left coast: a great many of the left-wingers or liberals or democrat types are not ashamed to march in the streets, throw bricks, set things ablaze. They are so weak in things which require skill in use of tools; they are not the family type; they prefer to party and do anything not connected to work; they are atheistic, are expected to refer to pieces of Scripture as of a thing, obscure; beyond that study which showed that, Republicans, Democrat don't live as long, don't make as much money, do not have as many children, are less happy, do not donate as much; and, as the way we think affects what we think about and the thoughts which we think, I do think that, on a case-by-case comparison, in women of their number, both of physic and in psyche, the democrat's paradigm or way of thinking tends to obliterate natural appeal—and if in error in that regard, I should be glad to be shown otherwise—often, taking up a pre-packaged conception such as, "Christians / Jews / Israelis produced as many atrocities as any others."—perhaps reaching back to that time in which the Children Of Israel were ordered to eradicate those societies who sacrificed—killed—their children—for corrupted sense of honor—and lacking power of logic and knowledge which might have served in support, they appear to be shallow in thought; inasmuch as, they presumed laws to be the product of "the fat cats", they live in criminal tendency; they demonstrate a characteristic inability to recognize a decent woman and engage her in response.
And for just several examples of demo-thinking: Gov. Tom McCall's raspy and arbitrary: "It's [Oregon is] a great place to visit, but please don't stay."; or, when in the throes of the national '74 gas shortage, the bumper sticker was: "Oregon gas for Oregonians.", and so typical.
Then, I think that, it was in January of '09, in one of his Town Hall meetings as broadcast on C-SPAN Senator Wyden's arbitrary assurance to his audience that, the health care plan was necessary, the federal government would pick up the tab, "so they [uninsured Oregonians] won't becoming to us [the State of Oregon].", and, wouldn't that just be so darned handy—of course, as funding must be, viewed in the larger national picture, almost laughable, but, . . .
And, Louis Farrakhan for greatness—wasn't it of him, whom the national radio host, Barry Farber played the clip: "Kill 'em [the whites] all; kill the women, too—they's the ones that, makes the babies."?
And, while the tenor of this article is wrong—presuming compassion and common sense of the liberal paradigm, "Liberals should be sympathetic", the reasoning also, is canted:
President Nixon—"You have your boys around back by 10, I don't give a damn, we'll take care of that, . . ."—yes, that President Nixon, was thought to have had some planning in the Watergate break-in because of what was to be heard on the tapes, and if that much remained, for what the eighteen minutes had held, and for his bald-faced denial of what? "My mother loved me.", and: "I'm no crook.".
In the word itself, the American people perceived the heart and soul of a criminal; and yes, a Republican might "let us down" hard, too, . . . only, Republicans do it so clumsily and ineptly, . . .

Don't forget that man is destroying the planet.

  • tagalog

As one who believes that President Obama is a native-born citizen of the U.S., and also as one who believes that President Obama is a Christian, I don't really understand why he won't provide the documentation to prove those things. If he is what he claims to be, what's the problem with proving it? That he has some right to privacy on those scores? But he's President, and people have been asking for quite a while about those issues. Why not put the controversy to rest?

    • bubba4

What other documentation are you looking for?

His birth and religion are both being brought into question simply to keep doubt alive. This is about elections and making older white people, especially in more rural areas come out to the polls and vote in November….for Republicans.

      • Puddyboy

You aren't making any sense. The reason there is doubt is because he refuses to supply an original birth certificate not because of some supposed right wing conspiracy. His birth and religion matter not to many of us conservatives, we believe he is incompetent, a far left knucklehead, and a fascist.

By the way for those of you who believe the leftist propaganda that fascism is "right wing", you need to read more actual history. Fascism and Communism are both totalitarian socialist extremities. "Right Wing" is in reality small government, meaning a far right extremist is actually and anarchist.

Fascism is actually a socialist state where the Government controls all means of production through regulations and bureaucracy and may in fact own a large part of many corporations, precisely the way Hitler did (and Obama is doing) Communism owns all means of production not just controls it. Obama and the far left are by historical fact fascists.

      • blotto

Can you prove he is not Muslim? Can you prove he is not a dual citizen? Can you prove he is not marxist? Can you prove he is not an adherent to Black Liberation Theology?

        • bubba4

No I can't prove a negative. I'm sure if he held dual citizenship with another nation, that would be pretty easy to prove. The rest of this stuff is unmeasurable cultic nonsense.

Considering you can't prove that you aren't into beastiality, I don't think you want to reside in intellectually dishonest land. What's disturbing about the times, isn't so much that politicans tell you that their opponents eat babies, it's that some you believe it. How many man hours do you think have been devoted to writing complex, guilt by association, and out right lying diatribes about Obama and what he thinks/feels.

        • bubba4

          BTW:
“When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children.

Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.”

Wow that took next to no work….are you lazy or just content with your beliefs?

    • trickyblain

Bercause the constant harping by rightwing moonbats about the "birther" issue makes them lok crazy. Why stop a gravy train?

      • blotto

Okay skippy I'll go easy on you. Explain the etiology of Dear Leaders name?

      • oldwolves

        Two questions Dickytrain,
        1. Who was Obama's attending physician at birth.
        2. What hospital was he born at?
When these are answered we will be able to investigate it and put the 'issue' to rest.
        Simple.

        • Carl Sesar

Exactly, oldwolves! The reason your questions, and all of the other questions asked about Obama's background go unanswered — aside from the fact that he himself keeps the answers hidden away under lock and key — is, some of even Obama's most celebrated and trenchant critics are afraid to learn the answers, answers which might confirm the gravest suspicions about Obama, including a Constitutional ineligibility to be president. Such a revelation would precipitate a Constitutional crisis, and so they'd rather shred the Constitution and live a lie, than suffer so troubling, yet necessary and inevitable a fallout. Chief among such otherwise stalwart, intelligent pundits is FPM's David Horowitz himself.

          • bubba4

You guys are real cultic looneys. Here, it didn't take me very long…about 30 secs to find this article and another min or two to read it.
            http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2

Oldwolves didn't generate his specific questions and criteria for Obama's birth by himself. He didn't see the birth certificate and then wonder who the attending physician is and what hospital. These are carefully crafted questions created by political operatives and affiliates…like FPM and WorldNetDaily…NewsMax, etc.

Why the hospital and attending physician? Well its complicated, but it's gone over well in the article. When facts don't matter, then it's about beliefs. And if you want to BELIEVE that Obama wasn't born in the US then you will believe that. Granted with the abounding evidence, you have to believe some pretty crazy, manchurian candidate stuff to be on track with oldwolves, but that's why they try to keep it down to unanswerable or speculative questions.

Best not question how and why his birth like many others were announced in papers…because that starts making you look like a kook.

Look, you cultic nuts can believe whatever you want, but it's your perceptions that you are forcing, not reality. Reality is out here waiting for you when you get tired of this mind game bs and being manipulated by the worst elements of our politics and media.

          • oldwolves

So whats the problem then? I believe that obama was born. So far so good. I believe he was born in a hospital. So far so good. I believe a doctor, some nurses and his mother were there. So far so good. Who!!!!!! was the doctor???? Who!!!!! Was the nurse????? What Hospital??????????

It's so simple even bubba 4 can get it. Just release that simple information, that every other president has, and the whole thing goes away.

But he won't. Bubba your the manipulater. You are scared of the truth. I don't mind looking like a 'Kook" if that's what it takes to get to the bottom of this. I'm not a useful idiot. I want to know.

  • Inspector71

I read an interview with Obama in which he stated all religions lead to the same God and he does not accept the notion of eternal separation (hell) from God. These are hardly Christian doctrines. I have not believed he was a Muslin but there was no doubt he shows them an unusual amount of deference. Rather than believe he is a Muslim I figured his affinity for them was based on a shared dislike for the USA.

    • bubba4

Allah means God…it's not like Allah is a blue god and the christian god is a green god and they are different gods. Monotheism had a profound effect on the formations of societies around the world. Granted, this involved a lot of purging of the "pagans", but the Muslims, Jews and Christians all pray to a single god….this god created everything and is everything…is eternal, alpha-omega, blah blah.

The President can't afford to be petty like some of you and want to engage in my god is bigger than your god. One, who gives a $^*#). I'm getting sick of people ruled by superstition and two, most of you have only a cursory understanding of religion…even your own. Oh, you have the dogma down and no doubt some of you are moral and decent folks…good Christians, but you are being played by the powerful.

  • GBArg

Those on the Left live in such a world of lies and urban legends, some of them probably face west in the morning to see the sun rise. Their leaders either repeat the lies of the day or make up new ones as it becomes convenient (Hillary Clinton and her "getting off the plane in a hail of bullets" comes to mind). What also comes to mind, is the Father of Lies, as stated in the Bible: Satan. Evil cannot stand the light of day and truth.

One other point. Front Page magazine and other right-oriented publications carry advertising, much of which lately is run by something called Obama Today and which has a photograph of the Liar-In-Chief himself. On one hand, that's offensive to us, but on the other hand, it's a constant reminder of how much we loathe this scumbucket. I hope only that taxpayer dollars aren't funding this particular Leftist effort.

  • jim

    Is Obama a Muslim?

"If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it must be a duck."

Suppose you see a bird walking around in a farm yard. This bird has no label that says 'duck'. But the bird certainly looks like a duck. Also, he goes to the pond and you notice that he swims like a duck. Then he opens his beak and quacks like a duck. Well, by this time you have probably reached the conclusion that the bird is a duck, whether he's wearing a label or not.

    • bubba4

Yes jim, that is what that old saying means….thanks you for breaking it down for us.

  • MassVoter

Maybe people believe he's a muslim because he ignores and downplays, in other words denegrates, his Christianity and his Holy Days but defends and celebrates Islam and its holy days. He's held prayer services and muslim feasts in the White House but has yet to even mention Jesus on Easter. What's to wonder?

    • bubba4

I don't know…he held a Seder dinner at the White House. Maybe he's a secret Jew?

  • Mike Giles

No, they want to pull EVERYONE back to the 7th century.

  • Lightning Jack

A mutual coexistence with progressives or Islam is impossible unless one becomes them and adapts their dogmatic hatred of everything American, including Western Civilization.

While it is agreed that there are peaceful Muslims who certainly do support America and only wish to coexist… who support its Constitution and the Rule of Law, they are a scant minority who's voices will never be heard.

As for Obama's religious affiliation, his mother was actually an Atheist and his father a Muslim who very seldom attended prayer call. His step father was more devout to his faith, which explains why Obama attended a Muslim Academy as a youth.

IMHO I believe Mr.Obama is not a religious man at all, and as the good Afro-Leninist considers all religions, including Islam an archaic facade that, as the good politician, he must pretend to acknowledge for the sake of political expediency.
