Turning Churches Against Israel

Pages: 1 2

“With God on Our Side,” the new anti-Israel movie produced by an evangelical pastor and aimed at evangelical audiences, is touring America this month, with anti-Israel British Anglican priest Stephen Sizer in tow.  On October 27, it was originally going to be screened in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, doubtless hoping to appeal to young evangelical Congressional staffers, whose numbers and influence likely will increase in the new Congress.  Now, for whatever reason, it instead will screen at a Lutheran church on Capitol Hill.

The Evangelical Left is anxious to neutralize evangelicals as America’s typically most pro-Israel demographic, especially by focusing on the plight of Palestinian Christians, who are portrayed as victims exclusively of Israeli oppression.  “With God on Our Side,” predictably, portrays pro-Israel Christians as mindless zealots indifferent to Palestinian suffering and exploiting Israeli Jews as merely tools for precipitating the Second Coming.  Hapless quotes from Christian Zionists are contrasted with thoughtful articulations from Palestinian Christians and other pro-Palestinian advocates.

Anglican priest Stephen Sizer, prominently featured in the film, bewails Christian Zionism on his website:   “Aspects of this belief system lead some Christians in the West to give uncritical support to Israeli government policies, even those that privilege Jews at the expense of Palestinians, leading to great suffering among Muslim and Christian Palestinians alike and threatening Israel’s security as a whole.”

Rev. Sizer essentially advocates a Helen Thomas sort of theology. His blog even acclaimed Thomas for exclaiming that Jews need to “get out of Palestine” and go back to Poland or wherever.  “Bring it on,” Sizer enthused in response to Thomas’s promise to keep speaking out.   He has further explained:

“With God on our Side” is a direct challenge to the foolish idea that Christian Zionism has any biblical or moral foundation. It is an oxymoron, as absurd as to suggest that biblical Christianity and apartheid are in any way compatible. The Dutch Reformed Church in South Africa tried and failed and eventually repented. Would that Christian Zionists did the same.”

Sizer is incredulous that Christians would “justify on theological grounds the theft of land, the demolition of homes, the destruction of property, the creation of ghettos and the denial of fundamental human rights, in order to create what is increasingly becoming a racist state.”  He insists in his blog that Christian support for Israel challenges “our understanding of the gospel, the centrality of the cross, the role of the church, and the nature of our missionary mandate, not least, to the beloved Jewish people.”  And he deplores Christian Zionism as a  “heresy conclusively refuted by the New Testament.”  Sizer and “With God on our Side” are unwilling to accept that many evangelicals and other Christians have substantive reasons for supporting Israel other than a grimacing expectation of the End Times.  Israel’s democracy, pro-Western stance, and resistance to Islamist terror are just a few reasons that many Americans, Christian or not, affirm Israel against its many enemies.   But Sizer and his film are largely uninterested in the transgressions, and inferior human rights records, of Israel’s primary foes.  Nor are they usually willing to critique radical Islam.

Palestinian Christians have essentially become Muslims in disguise. They are pushing a replacement theology that implicitly denies that the old testament is Jewish. The Anglicans are blockheads, willing to run interference in support of Islam's attach on the West.

What's new. Just another Christian program against Jews. But I have news for the Nazis who call themselves Christians. It's 2010 not the middle ages, or the 1930s. The Jews don't live in ghettos with no way to protect themselves . They no longer live in fear of the Christian beasts . They can not only protect themselves from the Christian beasts . Jews can inflict serious harm on anyone who threatens them . They can unleash a Jewish invention :nuclear weapons. No matter what these beasts claim , the truth is Anti-Zionism= antisemitism

This is kind of comment about Palestinian Christians becoming Muslim in disguise tells it very clear the kind of people who support Israel's continuous aggression and deceipt. Zionism is based on deception, not on truth. The proof is people like you, who either deceived or deceiver; or both. You don't own the Christian faith. Zionism does not own Christ. And for you knowledge, a Palestinian State on its way wether the biggest Zionist likes it or not.

Let us call them what they are Biblically: The emergent church. The Anglican church is split right now along so many lines. Half have or is in the process in moving under the authority of the African Anglicans instead of the British because of the anti-Christ nature of the leadership of the British Anglican Church.

The liberal protestant (non-Christian) movement is dying among believers. This Emergent Church blame the Biblical Protestants for their loss of congregations and people in their existing church buildings. They hate the fact that there is a cooperation among righteous Catholics, Biblical Protestants and Orthodox Jews, especially about Israel, but also about social issues.

They love to defame Jewish/Christians Organizations that not only support Israel. Not just politically, but the ones that feed poor Israelis because the world expects Israel to feed the terrorists in Gaza.

The bad news is that their popularity is growing among secular religionists. But Yeshua and Paul predicted that about 2000 years ago.

    • Craig

Just in case you didn't know Catholicism is not Christian. Oh and the ecumenical movement is just what the "son of perdition " ordered. How else can he have a__unified religion glorifying him

    Not quite true Jay.

Hitler was a follower of Nietzsche. Nietzsche was an avowed Atheist and a rabid Darwinian Secular Religionist. Hitler had to get rid of 800 of the Lutheran Church leadership to get his “program” moving. Hitler loved Islam because he thought Christianity was weak. Hitler and Goebbels dabbled in Satanism (as well as Marx and Alinsky)

Nazism, Communism and Progressivism are all Secular Religionists who want to set up Secular Theocracies. Hitler, Marx, Stalin, Mao & Obama. They have murdered more people in 75 years then Christianity and Judaism is “accused” of in 4000 years.

I won’t argue that the organization called the church (not Biblical Church) has blood on it’s hand from Allegorical Liberalism within Christianity. But Allegorical Liberalism isn’t Christianity. But you are obscenely incorrect with your opening remark.

    • http://home.comcast.net/~enjolras/site/?/home/ underzog

Ironically, Nietzsche was not an anti-Semite and criticized his fellow Germans more than the Jews. Nietzsche has been reported to be anti statist and anti racist, but the Nazi could quote many of his passages with relish.

      • highpressure

Nietzsche hated Christianity the most. He particularly hated St Paul, even though he stole material from Paul but put his twist such as "If it doesn't kil me…." He lived his last 8 years of his life in depression & hateful rants about anything or one.

Let's be honest, Christian Europe murdered and / or acquiesced in the murder of her Jews with few exceptions. There were few Righteous Gentiles in Europe, just as there are few Righteous Gentiles in America. Christian America is turning against Israel. America, led by its Muslim-born president, is cursing Israel and the God of Israel.

      • Beverley

WildJew – I agree with you, I just wish you knew the difference between 'christians'
and Christians. Please always remember many of them are 'wolves in sheep clothing'. They are out there to scatter the flock and generally confuse everyone.

Correction Most "AMERICAN" Christians are emphatically pro Israel.

        • WildJew

Beverly, thanks. The problem is most Christians either stand by silently or worse, support 'christians' even as they make war against Israel and the God of Israel. Take former President George W. Bush for example. I reluctantly voted for Bush in 2000. Bush is one of these phony 'christians' who decided to war against the God of Israel only days after Muslims attacked America on 9/11. Bush said, 'By God, behold I (even I) will establish a Muslim enemy state in the Holy Land in order to please my Saudi benefactors and masters'. This is a Christian Beverly? I beheld millions of American Christians support this phony 'christian' until the very end of his second term of office even as Bush sought to destroy Israel; many still do. I am convinced, God gave us this Muslim-born president; this very dangerous man. Is it any wonder Beverly? America has turned against the God of Israel and we expect God to bless us? Am I angry at and disappointed with my Christian neighbors? Yes I am. What do you think Jesus thinks of the state of Christianity here in America today?

          • Beverley

WildJew – I did not answer before because I have been a bit busy. Unfortunately I am not able to answer all your questions now. I did read a bit further down hoping someone else would help you. I have some news about Hagee, he is a heretic now before someone throws their toys out please read in the dictionary what a heretic is (an opinion contrary to accepted beliefs). He has I believe helped the Jews a lot …but he thinks he has helped them so much that they do not need a Saviour like the rest of us Gentiles, Greeks etc. In other words the Jews have a special covenant with God that they do not have to recognise His Son Jesus as their Saviour. I could go for ever, but enough said. Here are a few websites that can help you. http://www.moriel.org (a jewish website) http://www.letusreason.org (another one)
            To ask questions try customerservice@thebereancall.org

          • Beverley

I did reply further down. Again I say their are Christians and 'christians' please remember not everyone who says they are Christian are. This gets even more complicated if they are in a cult and are following the wrong Jesus and call themselves Christians. Another thing just because a politician says he is a Christian … you believe him? What do I think Jesus thinks of the state of Christianity. I think He is very grieved but He said in His word that a GREAT APOSTASY would happen to His people/church.

America is not turning against Israel, the Progressive atheists and the Obama regime is. Most Christians are emphatically pro Israel. There are very few gentiles that are Christians, just like there are very few Jews who practice Judaism. 60 % of the gentiles and Jews who label themselves Christians are in fact Secularists. The number (percentage) of Jews who don't fear the Lord is about 70% who are secularists. And many Orthodox Jewish leaders say that number is higher.

This is no longer a Christian nation thanks to Christian haters like the founder of ACLU and Maggie Sanger. The State religion of as dictated by the courts is secularism ie Humanism. Our children are being brainwashed into the religion of the Athiest.

You confuse Jews and Gentiles who are Christians with Allegorical Liberals and securlarists who are tyrants.

        • WildJew

What is a Christian? How would I know a Christian if I were in his or her presence? If there were devout Christians who averted their collective gaze during the Holocaust and there a few Gentiles hid and saved Jews from the Nazis, who "did the will of my Father in heaven?" These devout Christians, did they do the will of my Father? The millions who averted their gaze? Or did the secular humanist Gentiles — who risked their lives to save innocent Jews from the Nazis — do the will of my Father in heaven?

          • Beverley

A book you should get – The Holocaust – Where was God? written by Art Katz____"Serious Bible students are compelled to offer an explanation for the terrible suffering of Israel – the severe afflictions and loss of lives during the siege and destruction of Jerusalem in the first century, the persecution of Jews by the Gentiles throughout the centuries, the Holocaust in which 6 million Jews died during the Second World War, as well as the biggest suffering of all time which awaits them during the coming great tribulation …____The many questions on the true cause for all this indescribable suffering are answered by Arthur Katz in his book. The Holocaust – Where was God?__an inquiry into the Biblical Roots of Tragedy, published in 1998.

      • Stephen_Brady

WildJew, I cannot agree with you on this one.

You state that there are few "Righteous Gentiles in America". The author of this article has mistaken liberal theologies that call themselves "evangelicals" with actual evangelicals. If one mentions the Episcopal Church in America, or the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, one is talking about far-left ideolgies masquerading as Christianity. But true evangelicals … Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, Southern Baptists, charismatic churches of incredible variety, and so on … are firmly on the side of Israel, and overwhelmingly despise Obama.

I am LC-MS, and I am a member in good standing of Christians United for Israel. Only the left is abandoning Israel, right now, and they started leaving the fold a long time ago.

        • WildJew

Thanks for your response Stephen. I guess I expect more from disciples of Christ than I have seen here in America. Don't you think Jesus would expect more from his disciples than mediocre support of his people and his God-given land? I notice not one Christian has responded effectively to my complaint of conservative American Christian support for George W. Bush, even as Bush tried to divide and destroy Israel; even as he repeatedly condemned Israel for defending herself in the face of jihad terrorism; even as Bush sought to establish a Muslim-killer state in Israel. I expect this from radical leftists. I did not expect to see this from self-professed conservative Christians. How can you say Christians are not abandoning Israel when they stood solidly by Bush as Bush (figuratively) spit in God's face? If you wish, I can give you concrete examples of this support for Bush over Israel.

          • Stephen_Brady

My friend, it may be that you live in the wrong place, in America!

CUFI, for example, has specifically renounced the notion of "Replacement Theology", and all of us have recognized consisely and in clear language the Promise that God made to His people. Note that CUFI is one of the fastest-growing organizations in America that supports Israel 100%, and it is totally composed of conservative, evangelical Christians

If you give examples of support for President Bush and against Israel, make sure that the church doesn't just have the word "evangelical" in its name. The ELCA does, and has totally divested itself of all investments in Israel, has a lesbian bishop, and numerous lesbian and homosexual "ministers".

Conservative, evangelical Christians support Israel. Go to a Southern Baptist Church and find ask people.

          • WildJew

I wrote Pastor John Hagee during the Bush years. I wrote him and he read my letter. I know he read my letter because I sent it to him through his aid to whom I was put in contact with by Texas delegate to the national Republican party platform writing committee; Cathie Adams.

I wrote Pastor Hagee, urging that CUFI issue a formal resolution (a statement) to President Bush and Congressional Republicans urging Bush and Republican leaders to turn away from the Bush-Saudi "road map" which was and is designed divide the land of Israel (God's land) and to establish a Muslim terror state in the land of Israel. I urged Pastor Hagee and CUFI to warn Bush that we must turn away from this dangerous path in order to avert God's judgment on America.

          • Stephen_Brady

I understand what you are saying, now. The "road map" presented problems to me, also. Note that the Bush road map policy caused some dissension in CUFI. Have you ever been a member of an organization where you had 100% agreement with everything that the leaders proposed?

If you desire it, I will contact Pastor Hagee and get his take, on this issue.

As for me, I am absolutely committed to a ONE STATE solution to the Palestinian problem, that is, all of Israel as a Jewish state. I call you … referring to you next post … as a "friend", because I suspect that you have the same objective. Also, in the 21st Century, there is no reason why Christians who support Israel, and Jews, should not be friends and work together for the common goal.

And now, one of the site's trolls will claim that I'm calling for a "Palestinian genocided". Of course, I am not. But I'm still in favor of the One State solution.

          • WildJew

Stephen, this is the thing. I know how politics works because I have been politically active in the Republican party; that is until I criticized Bush's post-9/11 policies on Israel. You may recall, Bush promised then Saudi Crown Prince (now King) Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz late August 2001 he would unveil new and formal US policy to establish a Muslim state in Israel. 9/11 put-off that announcement for a few weeks and particualarly in light of the fact that the Saudis were up to their necks in the September atrocities, and yet President Bush covered all that up.

You're right. We never have 100% agreement but one would think when it comes to doing the right thing in the eyes of the Almighty on the part of God-fearing CUFI officers, they would act as one man, as those who followed King David acted as one man. But I understand. I know fear when I see it. I read how Pastor Hagee had access to the Bush White House. I can understand why he would not want to cross or to anger the Bush White House.

          • WildJew

If you would contact Hagee, I would simply ask Hagee this: "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?"

Stephen, you know and I know, the time to have acted was during the two terms of the Bush presidency when policy was made in the White House. Hagee refused to act. What Hagee and CUFI might now say to Mr. Obama will have zero effect. It would have affected Bush because conservative Christians and conservative Evangelicals were Bush's political base. The fact is Stephen, CUFI officers feared upsetting the good working relationship they had with the Bush White House. They did not fear this relationship when Bush announced his appointment of his pro-abortion friend Harriet Miers. Then there was a collective outcry and rightly so.

Pastor Hagee refused to do what he should have done before God because he coveted access to the White House. He feared man more than he feared God. He failed me and I believe he failed his God.

          • WildJew

PS: Tell Pastor Hagee Steve Klein (my name) asked you to contact him. I am guessing you are a member of CUFI? Ask him if he remembers my letter via Roy (his aid) asking that CUFI officers issue a formal statement to President George W. Bush against his road map; against his formal policy to establish a Muslim state in Israel's Biblical heartland.

          • WildJew

You say I'm your friend. Why do you call me your friend when clearly you do not know me? Do you know what Hagee's response was to my reasonable request? It was "NO." NO. Pastor Hagee and CUFI officers refused to issue a formal resolution, warning President Bush to turn away from his reckless, anti-Israel, anti-God path of destruction. This is the way Christians treat their Jewish savior and their Maker? You call me friend. I want you to explain why Pastor John Hagee and CUFI refused to take a stand for God; a stand that any prophet of God would have taken. Why?

          • Stephen_Brady

I will do so, and let you know as soon as i get a response.

Hitler didn't murder millions of Jews. German soldiers did. And the German people stood by in accomplishment. The vast majority of them were Christian – Catholics and Lutherans.

      • Stephen_Brady

Did the German people stand by in the same way that the Left in America stands by our own Holocaust … the murder of the unborn? And who are the only people who speak out against this Holocaust?

Certainly not Mr. T. Blain …

    • Seek

Hitler was influenced many sources, Nietzsche merely one among them. You could make the case for Wagner (especially "The Ring Cycle") being a bigger influence. In any event, Hitler never made "atheism" a tenet of National Socialism. To the contrary, he openly affirmed his Catholic Church membership. And how about those Nazi combat belt buckles that read "Gott Mit Uns" ("May God Be with Us."). Yeah, some atheists.

  • waterwillows

This non-pastor who slides into our midst, telling lies and distortation, had better slink back to his secular 'church' in the Arab loving UK. He has no work in America to do.
Evangelicals are not stupid. They are also literate and unlike Sizer and his ilk are able to comprehend: I will bless those that bless Israel, I will curse those that curse Israel.

The only god on the side of Sizer, is the one Evangelicals don't want.

    • http://www.stephensizer.com Stepen Sizer

My friend, where in your Bible does it say "I will bless those that bless Israel, I will curse those that curse Israel." I can't find it in any of my translations. The promise God made to Abraham, if you are like me a literalist and not a liberal allegoricalist, was a personal promise made to Abraham and no one else.

    • Patrick S

So, using Stephen Sizer's "literalist" exegesis, we are to assume that in Gen12:1-3 God promised to change Abram (literally!) from a man into a "great nation"??? Either way, the passage clearly implies a blessing/curse prophesy applying then and in the future to BOTH Abram in his life and to the "great nation" which he spawned – Israel. Readers should not be too worried over Sizer's comments; they are much like his secular counterpart Richard Dawkins on Creation, which many find fundamentally flawed. David Pawson's book "Defending Christian Zionism" in my view demolishes Sizer's viewpoint on this matter. In any case, if Sizer is right about Israel, he hasn't anything to worry about. But if he's wrong………then God help him (literally!).

  • Findalis

I suppose these good Christians will be singing hymns of glory when they march the rest of us Jews into their gas chambers.

    • Beverley

Findalis those are false 'christians', true Christians could/would never condone anything like that, that is a evil from the pit of hell.

    • Rayma

As a Christian, but a Jew at heart, were it not for the Jews we would not have the Bible and Jesus. but this has been prophized in the Bible…the "falling away" I hate to admit it but I have a brother who believes in "replacement theology, " it takes a lot more faith than I have to believe that way.I would rather just believe what the Bible says. If Obama gets his way, we Christian & Jew will be all put in the firey furnace and I know Jesus will be in there with us.

      • Beverley

Sheash Rayma how can they believe in "replacement theologh" just looking at the world in the natural never mind what the Bible says.

Those who have read the Bible have asked the simple questions: Where is the Ark of the Covenant that has been hidden since the Babylonian invasion of Judah? And will it ever be found and displayed before the world? Here's the best answer I have found, and I won't be a tyrant about it: GOD raised up modern Israel to bring forth the Ark of the Covenant from Jeremiah's grotto (at the appointed time) because the whole world stands in the belligerent posture against them: from Islam to Christianity: from Judaism to Atheism, by claiming their version of religious and social law stands above the only Utopian Law given to man: the only Law where we are safe in one another's care: the only Law that when fully embraced within the soul no harm will ever come again. No more wars or locks on doors.

How does Stephen Sizer deal with Genesis 15:18?

    • Phil

The issue is not how Stephen Sizer deals with Genesis 15:18, but what does the verse say. "To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates…" Who are Abraham's "descendants" and where is the "river of Egypt" and "the great river, the River Euphrates." I submit to you that the descendants are NOT present day Israel in unbelief and that the places mentioned are much greater than either present day Israel or Greater Israel.

We can also that under a Christian influenced Government like Uganda, the Aids rate has gone down to under most of Africa. This is just another white supremacist group pretending to be in the majority so they can stir the pot. Most American Christians endorse Zionism and love the Jewish faith at least that is here down south (believe it or not). In our synagogue we have a Christian lady who comes to every Sabbath meeting because she wants to be close to the true descendants of Abraham. You can also check out Christians for Israel. Giving this movie any attention just gives rise to a disparity between our religions. Just as the Tea Party disbanded white supremacist from their ranks so do most churches.
The Republic Revealed is a research and social political web site for a free America.

    • Phil

Who are "the true descendants of Abraham," unbelieving Jews or believing Christians? When did Christian Zionism begin? There are things we might learn from the early Church. There was a decisive break between the church and the synagogue.

  • Thomas E. Davis`

Stephen Sizer?Who is he? He claims priesthood; I doubt it. If he is, then he is so far off base. Today's Jews are yesterdays Israelites and today's Palestinian 'Christians' are yesterday's Yasser Arafat sycophants and also todays Hamas. Palestine and Sizer are of the same ilk. All they desire is attention, they have absolutely no credibility. Sizer and David Koresh are from the same piece of cloth; full of holes but not HOLY.

    • Phil

It would be good to answer what Stephen Sizer says rather than making all kinds of (evil) attacks.

  • 88vulcan

I believe that most people do not consider lutherans as Christians anyway. If you go against the laws that you profess to believe then you may have your true beliefs questioned. Christians will support Israel as long as the filth called palis (Christian or moosleem) continue to murder, rape, steal, lie, cheat and so on. I agree that there are no pali Christians, only moosleems pretending to be so like our president does and the queeran commands of them. Follow a pedo and this is what you get.

    • Phil

That is a strong statement that "there are no pali Christians." The Bible says that “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.” I chose to believe the Bible.

God did not give us this president in the WH. As a matter of fact He discouraged it. Unfortunately, 80% of the American Jews did not agree and voted for him.
That is how it really went down.
By the way Americans do stand behind Israel. Now if only one could get the American Jews to do the same.

    • ajnn

No one understands why American jews act and vote the way we do. We make no sense.

    • WildJew

I cannot argue with your general assessment of the state of American Jews; not all but many. But were does evil come from? Where do evil men come from if not from God? If the American people were doing well, why would God have visited this evil man on this nation?

God told Abraham, "I will bless those who bless you and the one who curses you, I will curse. George W. Bush cursed the God of Israel and the people and the land of Israel with full American Christian support, and then along comes Barack Hussein Obama. Why are you surprised?

Re: Sizer is incredulous that Christians would “justify on theological grounds the theft of land, the demolition of homes, the destruction of property, the creation of ghettos and the denial of fundamental human rights, in order to create what is increasingly becoming a racist state.”

Sizer must have been standing upside down when he said that. In truth, he should have said ". . . resettle and beautify the land, the building of new homes, the creation of new property, the destruction of ghettos, and the establishment of fundamental human rights to create a revived democratic state in the midst of despotic regimes."

Read what Mark Twain wrote about Palestine before the Jews chose to resettle the land and turn it into a modern oasis:

  • WildJew

Right but Obama says the same thing; that it is in Israel's self-interest to establish Muslim-enemy state in Judea, Samaria, Gaza, etc. Isn't this insincere and patronizing on the part of world leaders to tell tiny Israel, it is in their own interest to risk national suicide? This is what European colonialists and their descendants told American Indians. It was in own self-interest to relocate onto reservations. This is what England and France told the Czechs at Munich, 1938. It was in their interest to establish an independent state for ethnic Germans in the Sudetenland.

  • Dan Thomas

You're on target, Bill Salus. In addition to Genesis 15:18, the so-called Evangelical Left might tell us how they explain away Genesis 12:7; 13:14-17; 17:8; just for starters.

I'll bet the so-called "Network of Spritual Progressives", J Street, Democracy Now!, the Open Society Institute, and other arms of the Soros machine are funding this disgraceful effort, if they were not the initiators of it in the first place.

  • Phil

When one is "brilliant," there is not much more too learn! I wonder where one is justified in calling another "a worthless coward." Is that in the teaching and example of Jesus?

    • Beverley

Right, he should have called him/them a "Brood of vipers!" sounds more bibical.

I will be sure that this charlatan will not be speaking or showing his leftist/ Islamic propaganda film in any church I attend,,,and I am still shopping around to find one that supports Israel as much as I do…well, maybe I'll have to settle for it just supporting Israel. Thanks for alerting us.

  • Martin

A true Christian stands behind the land of Israel, it is the land of God, second where does it say in the bible that God replaced his to prommise to Israel and the jewish people to the Christians……nowhere.
3rth since when does Christianity needs a priest, beside a priest in Gods temple all other priests are evil…including the church….there is only One we can go to with our sins….Jesus…..not some priest or pope……..
Anyone teaching that Israel is illegal/evil or that the the church replaced Gods bond with His people is an evil apostal.

    • Phil

A true Christian follows Jesus. Please show either in the teaching or example of Jesus where Jesus "stands behind the land of Israel." He proclaimed the kingdom of God, not the land of Israel. The meek will inherit the earth, not Israel.
The Bible does say there is a better covenant which replaced the old covenant. That covenant is the New Testament. The Bible teaches that all, Jew (Israel) and Gentile, are evil apart from Jesus. But Jesus has made all things new and brought both Jew and Gentile into ONE body, the church.
"His people" are not evil. The issue is who "His people" are.

So you are saying … we should throw Israel to the wolves in the mean time. When Jesus said the Kingdom of God is at hand he was talking about Himself. Jesus also said "My Kingdom is not of this world". Some Christians do not understand the covenant that was made regarding Jerusalem for the end times, the rest of us do. True Christians do not believe that the Church has replaced Israel. Israel is the only nation on the face of this earth from Genesis to Revelation with whom God has made an eternal convenant with. Replacement Thelogy is a evil money making doctrin.

  • RD1953

Any self professed Christian who turns his or her back on Israel will NOT see Heaven! Because to deny that the Christ, in flesh as Our Lord Jesus, was Jewish; and, that he came here to fulfill the Covenant with Israel FIRST and FOREMOST, is to preach a false Gospel and turn their back on Jesus as well!!!

Salvation for the Gentiles, through the Grace of G_d and the sacrifice of HIS SON, was not even given until AFTER Jesus rose from the grave, at the time when he Ascended to the Father! That is when he commanded his disciples to go into the world and preach His Gospel to the Gentiles.

Before that, they were forbidden to preach or teach the Gentiles, as Jesus commanded them to disperse in Matthew, and go to every village and town before him.

    • Michael

So is this the new requirement for salvation? Haven't heard of this one before. Does your gospel say that "there is only one way for salvation and that is through submitting to the political system of the modern State of Israel". This sounds like a false gospel to me. It is very naive to assume that not supporting a human political system means denying the Lord of all and the King of kings. This is really very naive.

Please, start thinking logically and not with your emotions. This state of Israel is compromised of a bunch of sinners just like you and me. Don't give them more credit thatn they deserve. And don't give them the glory that reserve to Christ alone. You are irring yourself. I am sure that you will find people who will pat you on the shoulder, but only to keep you living in this deception.

I will be praying for you RD, And don't listen to preachers like John Hagee. He is flawed and a false teacher.

      • RDog1

        You obviously don't understand prophecy!

First of all, I don't support the "Political System" that is now Israel! I DO support the FACT that ALL of Israel, Samaria, and Judea belong to the "religious" Jews as promised by G_d!

Unlike those who think the prophecy clock started when political Israel was created in 1948, that "clock" doesn't start until the Faithful Jews, not the "ethnic" Jews are in control!

However, that cannot happen if the Israeli Government we know today gives away God's land to the islamic hoardes!! And, I stand by the FACT that Islam is the Army of 200M of the Kings of the east! Notice it says "Kings" so that implies it's not China or India (one king); but, an Army of multiple nations united under a single banner (Islam is that many NOW!)

The Anti-Christ is also islamic! Yes, we are talking of ten kingdoms out of Rome; but, that also includes the entire middle east! Gog and Magog include all the islamic nations that were in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe – Again, many islamic nations!

    • Beverley

Sorry RD we are not saved by Israel.

Every Christian is committed to inform Israel on the correct biblical route to their full restoration. If they are not warned against the coming false messiah and the great tribulation, how will they be able to correctly understand these times and make the right decisions? Without accepting Jesus the Messiah by faith WE cannot be saved, neither Gentiles, Jews or Greeks neither can we share in the blessings that He promised to the believing REMNANT IN ISRAEL and the whole world. http://www.divineknowledge.co.za

      • RDog1

Obviously, you are a "New Testament Only" Christian! First of all, the faithful Jews who followed the Law, before Christ are already saved!

The path to salvation for Israel is much different than for Gentiles!

Also, Christ will not return until all of "Israel" (Religious Jews) recognize him as the Messiah!

The Old Testament is not only relevant to our time; but, it is all ONE WORD!

Without knowing the Old, you cannot possibly understand Jesus!!

        • Phil

Did Abraham follow the Law? He is presented as a primary example for us to follow. There is only one path to salvation for all (John 14:6). The Old Testament helps us understand the New Testament, but to say one cannot be a Christian (you say understand Jesus) without knowing the Old Testament may not be warranted from the Bible. Where is that found in the Bible? If by ONE WORD you mean one author (God), I agree. But the Old Testament is called "Old" for some reason.

    Joey part 3
    10. The Jewish refugees were forced to flee from Arab lands due to Arab brutality, persecution and pogroms.
    11. The number of Arab refugees who left Israel in 1948 is estimated to be around 630,000. The number of Jewish refugees from Arab lands is estimated to be the same.
    12. Arab refugees were INTENTIONALLY not absorbed or integrated into theArab lands to which they fled, despite the vast Arab territory. Out of the 100,000,000 refugees since World War II, theirs is the only refugee group in the world that has never been absorbed or integrated into their own people'slands. Jewish refugees were completely absorbed into Israel, a country no larger than the state of New Jersey.
    13. The Arab-Israeli Conflict: the Arabs are represented by eight separate nations, not including the Palestinians. There is only one Jewish nation. The Arab nations initiated all five wars and lost. Israel defended itself each time and won.

  • Joey

    Joey part 4
    14. The PLO's Charter still calls for the destruction of the State of Israel. Israel has given the Palestinians most of the West Bank land, autonomy under the Palestinian Authority, and has supplied them.
    15. Under Jordanian rule, Jewish holy sites were desecrated and the Jews were denied access to places of worship. Under Israeli rule, all Muslim and Christian sites have been preserved and made accessible to people of all faiths.
    16. The UN Record on Israel and the Arabs: of the 175 Security Council resolutions passed before 1990, 97 were directed against Israel.

  • Joey

    part 5
    17. Of the 690 General Assembly resolutions voted on before 1990, 429 were directed against Israel.
    18. The UN was silent while 58 Jerusalem synagogues were destroyed by the Jordanians.
    19. The UN was silent while the Jordanians systematically desecrated the ancient Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives.
    20. The UN was silent while the Jordanians enforced an apartheid-like a policy of preventing Jews from visiting the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. These are incredible times. We have to ask what our role should be. What will we tell our grandchildren about what we did when there was a turning point in Jewish destiny, an opportunity to make a difference?

  • James

"But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel."

But tell me of "the heavenly Jerusalem," a city whose builder and maker is God. For believers to place their hope in any earthly city or country is to miss the "better country." This city is for ALL believers. God does not bless those who reject Him.

No biblical or moral foundation for Zionism Mr. Sizer?

Yet you bear false witness against your neighbour.

Among many, many other immoral things.

Sizer, true to form. A hypocrite, and a bully.

This is not an "unChristian" thing to say. Yeshua called his adversaries a brood of vipers. He must have had a reason

    • Phil

It would be good to give the "biblical or moral foundation for Zionism." Where in the life and teachings of Jesus or the apostles is there support for Zionism? And what are these "many, many other immoral things?" It is easy to say one is "a hyprocrite and a bully," but that hardly makes it true? Jesus' adversaries also called Him a hypocrite!

  • Jack

"With God on Our Side"?? As if God supports OUR plans? What about us being on GOD's side, for HIS plans!! And His plans and purposes involve Israel. (Deu. 7, Jer. 31, Is. 49, Rom 9-11, etc.) If we love God, we must love what God loves. And God loves Israel.

    • Phil

And God loves the world also. He does not love one nation above all others, but He loves all nations and individuals alike. If God is on our side, whatever we do we may think is right. If we are on God's side, we love all (Gentile and Jew and Palestinian) and treat them as God's children. The Palestinian of today is treated like the Samaritan in Jesus' day.

  • Michael

When somebody calls Palestinians (and Arab) Christians "Muslims in disguise, that tells the whole story, which is: The kind of people who support this State of Israel unconditionally and blindly are either deceived or deceivers; or just both. Zionism is not a compatible with the Christian faith, and the Christian faith does not have to submit to Zionism. Wake up Christians. When are going to wake up from slumbering. Zionists have deceived the Christians for decades, and they are willing to destroy the United States for the sake of the unrepentant "Jacobians". If Israel would have any modern prophet, he will just condemn it just as the prophets of the Old did wtih Israel and Judah. Nothing has changed really. The same people who crucified our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth are playing the same game today; these are the hypocrites; the brood of vipers, the assembly of Satan.

So, stop the bigotry and prideful spirit from controlling America. And by the way, wether the biggest Zionist likes it or not, here some good news for you: the Palestinian State is on the way. It will happen. May be you can ask Imam Hagee for a "fatwa" in this regard; fee sorry for this guy.

God exists and keeps his word. His honor is at stake. God made promises to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – the Abrahamic covenant – Genesis 12:01-07 – promising to make Abraham (and his descendants, the Jews) a great nation, and to bless those who bless them and curse those who curse them. (Genesis 13:14-17, 15:18, 17:07 & 08, 17:21, 35:9-12 – and Psalm 105:8-11). This eternal covenant is unconditional. Supersessionist / Replacement Theology makes two claims: 1) that God is not truthful and will not keep his promises made to the Patriarchs, and 2) that God is not sovereign and is cannot act without sinful humans , or in other words, God is a liar and is impotent (ineffective, powerless, helpless). Not so. God is truthful, honorable, and sovereign, and will keep his promises to both Jews and Christians. The whole world wants Jerusalem divided and covenant land taken from Jews and given to Palestinians Land ownership is not the real issue here, It is God's honor. Supersessionists, Muslims, hard leftists internd to prove that God lied to the Patriarchs. When the smoke clears after the next Mideast warand Israel is the only one left standing, God will have vindicated his honor .

    • Phil

In Jesus time the Jews claimed they were Abraham's descendants (John 8:33) and what happened? Israel has no more faith in God today than they did in Jesus' time. The eternal covenant of God that is uncondition are the sure mercies of David which are found in Jesus alone. Without faith there is judgment from God. It was true for Israel in the Old Testament, and it is true today. God's word and promises are true and He is sovereign over all. He that believeth not is condemned. God did not lie to the Patriarchs, but it may be that we do not see things correctly. The great nation, Abraham's descendants, are all (Jew and Gentile) who believe and follow in the steps of faithful Abraham.

These comments are Anti-semitic, Anti-Biblical and Anti-Christ. Their proponents must know they are not on the Lords side. They are sincerely wrong. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem as it is written. The Lord said by Abraham's seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed. Bless Israel and be blessed and curse/dishonour Israel 'The Prince' and you shall be cursed. Dear brethren lets cast these heretics (the proponents) for the Lord to deal with them.

Mr. Haas, Vice President of World Vision, is a collaborator and co-conspirator with Stephen Sizer, bringing a curse down on himself re Israel. Here is why he is also a traitor to Israel betraying them:

This brings a whole new magnitude to the urgency of sounding the alarm on his Holy Hill about him and World Vision.

Now I am compelled to add his treason to my expose on them as well as warn all of the ministries in Israel I know.

Hitler and the Muslim Brotherhood have also sought to dispossess Israel of the land that God gave them.

I must commend Jan Markell for her article exposing the movie at:

I have twice asked Steve Haas for proof or any evidence that I have born false witness against Rick Warren. NO RESPONSE. I asked him if he is a Christian. NO RESPONSE. Gregg Jackson asked him to provide evidence against James Sundquist testimony. NO RESPONSE. I wrote both Peggy Wehmeyer and World Vision who said in their email autoresponse they would absolutely respond in 2-3 business days. I made two submissions. In both cases…NO RESPONSE, so they are self-indicted.
