The Eternal Flame of Muslim Outrage

Pages: 1 2

Shhhhhhh, we’re told. Don’t protest the Ground Zero mosque. Don’t burn a Koran. It’ll imperil the troops. It’ll inflame tensions. The “Muslim world” will “explode” if it does not get its way, warns sharia-peddling imam Feisal Abdul Rauf. Pardon my national security-threatening impudence, but when is the “Muslim world” not ready to “explode”?

At the risk of provoking the ever-volatile Religion of Perpetual Outrage, let us count the little-noticed and forgotten ways.

Just a few months ago in Kashmir, faithful Muslims rioted over what they thought was a mosque depicted on underwear sold by street vendors. The mob shut down businesses and clashed with police over the blasphemous skivvies. But it turned out there was no need for Allah’s avengers to get their holy knickers in a bunch. The alleged mosque was actually a building resembling London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral. A Kashmiri law enforcement official later concluded the protests were “premeditated and organized to vitiate the atmosphere.”

Indeed, art and graphics have an uncanny way of vitiating the Muslim world’s atmosphere. In 1994, Muslims threatened German supermodel Claudia Schiffer with death after she wore a Karl Lagerfeld-designed dress printed with a saying from the Koran. In 1997, outraged Muslims forced Nike to recall 800,000 shoes because they claimed the company’s “Air” logo looked like the Arabic script for “Allah.” In 1998, another conflagration spread over Unilever’s ice cream logo — which Muslims claimed looked like “Allah” if read upside-down and backward (can’t recall what they said it resembled if you viewed it with 3D glasses).

Even more explosively, in 2002, an al-Qaida-linked jihadist cell plotted to blow up Bologna, Italy’s Church of San Petronio because it displayed a 15th century fresco depicting Mohammed being tormented in the ninth circle of Hell. For years, Muslims had demanded that the art come down. Counterterrorism officials in Europe caught the would-be bombers on tape scouting out the church and exclaiming, “May Allah bring it all down. It will all come down.”

That same year, Nigerian Muslims stabbed, bludgeoned or burned to death 200 people in protest of the Miss World beauty pageant — which they considered an affront to Allah. Contest organizers fled out of fear of inflaming further destruction. When Nigerian journalist Isioma Daniel joked that Mohammed would have approved of the pageant and that “in all honesty, he would probably have chosen a wife from among them,” her newspaper rushed to print three retractions and apologies in a row.

It didn’t stop Muslim vigilantes from torching the newspaper’s offices. A fatwa was issued on Daniel’s life by a Nigerian official in the sharia-ruled state of Zamfara, who declared that “the blood of Isioma Daniel can be shed. It is abiding on all Muslims wherever they are to consider the killing of the writer as a religious duty.” Daniel fled to Norway.

(Hopefully this website and all websites will condemn threats to burn Koran. Apparently this burning has only been placed on hold and not canceled. There is another group who states he will do it.)

On May 10 1933 Nazis gathered 25,000 un German books and set them on fire. 40,000 attended the burning. While the Quran is a book of pure evil far more evil then Mein Kampf, it is a crime to ban, burn, tear up, or flush down toilet any book. Burning books is an act of barbarism. Intellectually you destroy, burn, tear up and flush down the toilet bowl of history – the Quran. In this struggle at no time can violence be directed at Muslims. At no time should headscarfs/burqas (except for security concerns) be banned.

      burn em!!

    • Alexander Gofen

For some folks an act of burning (shredding) korans may seem a bit archaic (or even barbaric): something akin to burning books. Yet koran is an enemy symbol, rather than a source of knowledge or art. Moreover: a symbol specifically exploited for blackmail. So fear not! Shred it. It is exactly what we need now in "discussion" with our 9th century opponents. This is exactly the language they understand the best.

Indeed, burning of "The Capital" would not impress Marx, nor would burning of Mein Kampf impress Hitler. However Mohammed cartoons or koran burning do send the right message: both to our Islamic enemies and to our government collaborators with the enemy!

All those hypocrites in the media (including Gen. Betraous) had nothing to say when American flag is burnt, the image of Jesus and virgin Mary are placed in urine, when our military themselves burn Bibles, or when Moslems burn churches and synagogues.

Yes, we are much better than that, but not up to bending back before "sensitivities" of our enemies. The enemy has sensitivities, so we must exploit them rather than excuse – if we are ever to win.

      • Sledgehammer

Amen Bro. I can't believe this Lily Livered administration strong armed Pastor Jones into giving up his first amendment right while they lay the red carpet out for Imam Rauf's mosque and Waqf (trust) at Ground Zero!

    • Martin K.

Excuse me but the Question is:

Are the books in arabic the original language? If not what is all this noise? When I as a potential “Dhimmi” see myself in the Koooran as worse then the Animals”, then sorry I can't muster in me the notion that the book containg such nonsense is “holy”. BTW speaking of “holy” this whole “outrage” only shows me, that Islam is not a monotheistic religion, but it contains its own “version” of the “trinity” gods being and objects to be whoreshipped ¹:

      1.)allah the stoned god
2.)Mohammel (the self proclaimed messenger of said stoned god ¹
3.)the “kooran a dead artifact, which at one time were trees and other dead materials. ¹

      ¹ BTW misspellings on purpose.

You know a pig is always a PIG no matter how much make-up you apply to its face or put a whig on its head, and ISLAM the RELIGION is PIG-UGLY. Note, I'm not speaking of Muslims as people. So there is no need to get all bent out of shape over my commnt.

    • Frank(ly) M'Dear

I make a POINT of shredding Korans (purchased second-hand, they cost mere pennies!) as I travel on public transit,

I pretend to read a page or two, smile to myself and shake my head, and then I tear out the page, crumple it up, and toss it into the nearest trash bin. I've been doing this for years. Spontaneously!

Koran burning, on the other hand, seems to ELEVATE the Koran to something more than the trashy paperback that it is. The gesture is so DELIBERATE!

Strategically, destroying Korans CASUALLY – almost routinely – just as a matter of course is far, far more effective.

    • aspacia

Don't you realize that Bibles are shredded or burned in the Middle-East? Remember the Buddhist shrines blown to bits by the Taliban. It is the preacher's Constitutional Right to burn the Qu'ran, just as it is any individuals right to burn or desecrate the Flag, or any religious object of choice.

    • Joe

Your wrong, they should have to adhere to the same dress codes as everyone else, use the same facilities as everyone else, and stop getting special treatment because of their religion. The good thing that came out of this whole quran burning initiative is that PERHAPS some who are compromising our liberties might begin to see Islam as not merely a religion but a movement bent on world dominion that openly persecute Jews, Christians and women. Maybe some eyes will be opened to the enormous double standard towards Christians and Muslims because Muslims are feared – as demonstrated by the strong reaction of burning a quran while not giving a hoot about the many bibles burnt and shredded in Muslim countries.

    • An Dean

Burning the Quran isn't enough… We need to mould the leftover ash into suppositories and mail them to Mecca so they can, quite literally, shove it up their ar$e..

    • Don Shafer

I agree that for the state to burn books is a crime, but for an individual to make a statement is a constitutional freedom. Our freedoms are being eroded one by one it seems. I am pretty sure if the Muslims were suddenly in control of this country, they would do much worse than just burn bibles.

    • kingphilip2

"…it is a crime to ban, burn, tear up, or flush down toilet any book. " False, it is not a crime to "burn, tear up, or flush down toilet any book." However, in the US, it is unconstitutional for the govt. to "ban" a book. Muslims burn CHRISTIANS, the American flag and the Bible. As an American citizen it is our right to burn the Qur'an.

  • Jake Neuman

It cannot be stated strongly enough that the Quran is no holy book but a book of evil. 64% of the Quran is nothing more then hatred, extermination, slaughter, torture, subjugation of kafirs (non-believers). As already detailed in book: All Muslims must believe that every word of the Quran is the word of God: written by God himself. To challenge just one word of this very evil book is to commit a capital offense against Islam for which you must be murdered. The Quran is nothing more then words on paper bound into a book. As has been clearly shown throughout this book, these words are the teachings of prophet Muhammad. God NEVER spoke or wrote one word of the Quran. Every word is from the mouth of Muhammad who was no prophet. It is Muslim men who turn these murderous teachings into evil.

    • Wlmitch1

Correction: Muhammad WAS indeed a prophet – a false one!

    • Barbi Rose

I agree 100 percent. I've been reading a book called the politically incorrect guide to Islam and the crusades. It's a must read. Muhammad was a warrior and a self proclaimed prophet. It is in the Koran that all Muslims must be ready to be called to Jihad at any time. See that in the bible lately? And I keep hearing about this small group of Islamic Radicals…humm 2 wars years in fighting. Muslim's fighting the world round and won't even recognize Israel as a Jewish state!!! Yet they want them to negotiate in good faith with a religion that says treaties are meant to be broken? Islam is not the religion of peace except for other Muslims, which is what they are talking about. Everyone else is an infidel. If we are fighting a small group how come it's gone on years, engaged nations around the world and oh where do they get the billions to stand up to the USA/West/Russia/Pakistan/India…? Ever wonder? Also ever wonder where all those moderate Muslims are? With Billions you'd think we'd hear more from then than the radicals, but…..we don't so you connect the dots.

      • Peaceful Warrior

pfft your dots are not well connected. You read what you want to believe and make that true in your own lil tiny brain of yours. You act you're educated. You have no clue. Peace.

  • debra

ONLY a great show of force will ever stop this pathetic situation. Obama has rolled the red carpet out for this to escalade as he sticks his nose into every muslim issue. They are the aggressor, do we lay down & continue to talk it to death? Talking has not worked for Israel, it will not work for the USA either.

    • don o.

Obama is obviously ignorant of islam and its history and the koran. Fools rush in where others fear to tread.

  • elizabeth

I say, burn it baby, burn it.!!
Have you seen the faces of the little girls that dared to attend school in the Middle east?
Sprayed with Acid and their features burned away, sometimes their eyes, and then there is the murder of hundreds of young women because they dared to date a non muslim, or they looked at a man or whatever. Off with their heads. One father even left his daughter's head in the street so it could be admired by the people of the religion of peace. So, yah, go ahead and burn the dam thing.

    • guest

Do you have the link on the sicko dad who did that to his daughter ? I would like to read the story and pass it on to my liberal feminist friends.

  • kafir4life

It was suggested that Burn a koran day be changed to Read the koran day. I agree. The absolute best way for people to learn of the digusting terror faith of islam is to read its texts. Get a freebee from the terroriist supporting organization cair. They're handing them out.

And muslims shouldn't be concerned for their safety here in the US. We don't behave like muslims, so they're safe.

    • Barbi Rose

You know they are safe for now but if they start their crap here people will get scared and when that happens they will become picked on. People won't stand for getting kicked in the teeth over and over again and watching Muslims cheer in the middle east and other places and with no large groups of Muslims decrying the evils of the Radicals. Again and where do they get their money from no doubt a lot form Muslims in the USA. In America we do believe in freedom of religion not freedom to destroy the USA and all other religions which is what Islam is doing and does world wide.

  • Ahmad Yaqeen

Has it occurred to anyone who is more concerned with appeasing the violent threat of Muslims that eventually the growing demands of Muslims will become impossible to
fulfill without giving up every right we have taken for granted?

We cannot travel safely- we cannot speak our minds openly- we give up our own "home" to accomodate the tradtions of Islam- in contrast look at how violently intolerant the Muslim world is to the needs and rights of "unbelievers".
Eventually there will be a war of epic proportions. The ground zero mosque- coupled with Koran burning- is no coincidence. If and when Iran gets nukes Americans had better eiither get used to having a brown nose or hiding in bunkers 100 ft deep.

The inevitable is going to be either a war between "believers" and unbelievers" or a 21st century Dhimmitude reborn in America.

    • Steven Laib

This is precisely the point, to force others to submit and give up their rights. It is inevitable that this will end in destruction of western society or in bloodshed. I would rather shed the blood of others than submit.

      • Wlmitch1

If it ever comes to "convert to Islam, pay the Jizzya, or die" in America, I think "convert to Islam or KILL (in self-defense, of course), and do NOT pay the Jizzya" will be a much better option.

    • aspacia

Too funny Ahmad. Iranian nuke are firecrackers compared to the Nutron or Hydrogen Bombs we have.

    • Barbi Rose

We have the wrong president at the wrong time. You know Iran would see to it some nut job got a bomb and use it. Muslims already hate the USA and the West. They burn the flags, kill people for drawing cartoons and teach this to their children. If we don't draw a line and stop them they will keep coming because they don't recognize lines only Islam and if you are not with them you infidel you should and will either join them, pay them, or die. It's in the Koran look it up.

  • Rifleman

A Tale of Two Offensive Acts.

If this small insignificant church burning the koran encourages terrorists and endangers US Troops and citizens abroad, building the Ground Zero victory mosque certainly does.

The dp's sudden realization of what endangers the Troops and their mission is a timely reminder that the dp and msm have been endangering them and their missions all along.

    • Barbi Rose

lets be real here. As it is Muslims have already attacked UN Troops and held demonstrations because of the burning of the Koran…didn't even happen. Come blowing up buildings, subways, trains, people, shooting rockets at Israel on and on is not insensitive what is? Oh of course the UN didn't burn the book, or many of th nations who were there when the Islamic nuts protested so obviously it didn't matter to them, who got it they were mad at some guy in Florida who simply ran his mouth, but again so exercising free speech in the USA endangers American's around the world? This buy a small group of fanatics? Yeah small group my butt.

      • Rifleman

I limited myself to pointing out the treasonous hypocrisy of the left/dp/msm. The fact that jihadis will never lack an excuse to kill us is beside my point.

  • suprkufrB

I'm a Catholic; recently an art exhibit featured a statuette of Jesus in a bottle of the perpetrator's urine. Cartoons of Jews eating babies abound. Catholics and Jews are outraged thereby, but do we take to the streets, burning and murdering? Of course not, we respond as do all civilized people, by reasoned debate or by legal action.
Toadies like Barak Hussein and Petraeus inadvertantly spill the truth about the religion of peace through their admonitions that moslems would react with violence to the burning of mein koranf; they're uncivilized.
Rewarding bad behaviour only begets further bad behaviour. The politics of appeasement are inevitabley doomed to fail.

    • Gylippus

Gen. Petraeus has a legitimate concern: the safety of his troops and defeating an insurgency. It's real-time and right now. I can understand him opposing anything that could threaten those interests, which we all share.

Many of us are concerned about the militant, imperialist nature of Islam. And we should not shy away from voicing those concerns and acting to defend our interests, even pre-emptively if called for.

Perhaps even more importantly, it is vital to show everyone how intolerant Muslims are of any criticism of their faith (i.e. that the true heart of Islam is very intolerant). So we should draw cartoons, and name Teddy Bears Mohammed, etc. for two key reasons: 1- We are a free-thinking civilization, we accept no (few) mental boundaries in the world of ideas and dialog (as you suggest). All is fair game. It is partly why we drive much of the world's technological innovation, and why our public life is so free-wheeling. We cannot allow others to set boundaries on this mental freedom. (cont'd)

      • Gylippus

2 – We need to educate our fellow citizens that while there are many decent individual Muslims, as a group entity, the Islamic Ummah is a threat to all non-Muslims, East or West. There is no moderate Islam as Geert Wilders says, and the way they react to even minor criticisms is evidence of that.

All that being said, we know that burning Qur'an will provoke a violent response, perhaps on a large scale. I can understand Petraeus' concern therefore, and see it as the proper response for a commander in the field.

    • Wlmitch1

I too am a Catholic. I saw Maplethorpe's "Piss Christ." It was a Crucifix in a jar of urine, perpetrated by a radical homosexual with AIDS. It was disgusting, and only demonstrated the Neandearthal mentality of this individual. If the same homosexual had put a figurine of the Prophet Muhammad in a jar of urine and called it "Piss Muhammed," Muslim fanatics would have tracked him down and killed him, instead of simply dismissing him as having a Neandearthal mentality as I just did.

    • aspacia

I give you Barak, but Petraeus is between a rock in a hard place. Remember, Obama is the Commander and Chief, and Petraeus must play the touchy, feely military game at the moment.

You might want to peruse Petraeus' comments regarding his disregard for Islamists. These comments landed him all sorts of hot water.

  • SoundDoc

That picture is a sample of God turning Muslims into monkeys, not JEWS as bipolar Quran says.

B.Hussein, H.Rod'em, and Gen.Betrayus react to the news:

    1) Iran is building nuclear bombs:
    "Yawn… ho hum… so what?"

    2) Some people are burning Korans:
"No, they can't do that! It'll make Muslims mad which might endanger the troops!"

  • Rbob

I liked what Kafir said: Everybody in U.S. should read the Koran. Read the motivation for killing, mutilating, etc. etc. It will steel your mind against giving in to Muslim demands.

  • Old Bob

Let it be known. On this September 11th, I will be placing a Quran on my kitchen table and looking askance at it. If this brings about a global war with Islam so be it.

    • Barbi Rose

JIhad!!!! You cannot! It is an act of war! We will decry a holy war on you for doing such an evil thing, for thinking evil, for…..hmmm the President of Iran wants to blow up Israel and wipe it off the face of the earth..would that not burn a lot of Koran????….

    • Don Shafer

Old Bob, please, come to your senses. You will doom us all!!!

  • solemnman

The world has become a densely populated mine field filled with trigger happy Islamsts ready to explode over even the slightest provocation. This situation has come about because all of the efforts to collapse their dreams of world conquest have been undermined by the weak horse they perceive when we continually pander and apologise .

  • Jane Baer

My husband bought a Koran after 9-11 so we could read for ourselves what the religion is about. I had no idea how stupid if is. It is just long additions to the bible as Judeo Christians know it, except adding more restrictions. It is not even good literature. I'm so sorry for poor Muslims who have to memorize passages. I am a history buff and used to reading ancient and historic literature and Old Norse is just much better reading.

    • Don Shafer

Actually, I think it is supposed to sound like the Bible, but in English it reads like a 12 year old wrote it. Mohammad was upset that the Jews would not accept him as one of their prophets, but how could they, his teachings are bogus. And the verses I am familiar with are totally opposite of the teachings of the Bible. I have been reading the Bible for 40 years, have been to college to study it and believe me, the Koran is nothing like the Bible. For one, Jesus teaches to love our enemies, Mohammad teaches to lie to them, convert them, or kill them.

  • sflbib

The folks telling us that burning the Koran will enrage Muslims us are the same ones telling us that Islam is a religion of peace. Something don't compute.

  • Gylippus

It is indeed no coincidence. The whole thing is being pumped by the dems+msm alliance. Rachel Maddow even admitted on air yesterday that the plans of some obscure congregation would have been a non-story had she (the msm) not whipped it up, or had the Secretary of State not made it headline news.

Dems are trying hard to panic independent voters right now into swinging Left for the midterms. They are using every dirty trick they can think of, even fomenting Islamic anger (which as Michelle points out, doesn't take much), hoping to paint Conservatives as fanatically anti-Muslim. Their major strategy for this cycle is to 'remind' us how terrible things were during the Bush years (hoping we'll forget how they've since plunged us into near-insolvency). Their boring mantra is "the GOP wants to return to the policies that got us into this mess in the first place." (more)…

    • Barbi Rose

  • Gylippus

They still haven't clued into the fact that the vast majority of Americans do indeed have a number of legitimate questions and concerns regarding the Religion of Peace and its compatibility with western democracy. Not to mention the real motives of people like Mr. Rauf as he issues veiled threats to all Americans in hushed, earnest tones on national TV.

As I understand it, this is standard operating procedure in terms of historical Jihad. First the use of force to terrorize. Next, issue the threat of more, then build the mosque (or whatever other ostentatiously symbolic gesture you are seeking to impose). This has the effect of conditioning the target population towards accepting the ascendance of Islam in its midst. In a word, it prepares us for Dhimmitude.

  • tanstaafl

I suggest that Americans read the Qur'an.

Sixty three percent of the Qur'an concerns the Kuffars (unbelievers). It details how to kill, capture, oppress, rape, enslave and force unbelievers (that's us) in the name of Allah. This is our future, unless we resist Islamic Jihad. The words in the Qur'an are, according to 1400 years of Muslim exegesis, are the words of Allah and cannot be changed. What was halal (permitted) during the life of Mohammed, is permitted today – total holy war against the world until Islam is the sole religion and government.

Read the Qur'an and never submit.

    • Stefcho

But, having read the Qur'an, people will just say… "well let them believe what they want to believe".

9 years after 9/11 people know perfectly well what is in the Qur'an. It's just that Leftards think this boils down to an "Us and Them" issue. Because they don't believe in anything, they can't believe that people would ever take what is written in the Qur'an literally.

Only reality can have an educational effect on a Leftard. They'll only start to get it when Muslims start imposing Islam on them… and by then it'll be far too late for dialogue.

  • ApolloSpeaks

    RAUF'S CNN INTERVIEW, OR C-ordoba N-on N-egotiable

Imam Rauf warns that the suffering, anguish and turmoil that he caused because of his "mistaken" Cordoba House mosque will only worsen if the mistake is made not to build it at Ground Zero. For, says he, that would trigger an explosion of anti-American rage that would add to the body count of 9/11 and bring more tears to American families.

Now that Rauf is repackaging his mosque as a national security issue with US lives at stake will Obama reward him with Bob Gates' job as Secretary of Defense? That would ensure that the radicals don't win and that American ideals will triumph in the end. Salaam.

Oooo scary, their going to rush us with toothpicks. Welcome to the 21st century, where no ones religion or culture are safe from criticism, get over it. Next they are going to protest the rebuilding of the twin towers as though that is an affront to muslim sensabilities.

There is very little resemblance between the Bible and the Koran. I have read the Bible through many times and I am familiar with the Koran; There is a vast difference between them. The only thing they have in common is that they are both "books" and are believed to be inspired by their respective Gods. (The gods are not the same either as the GOD of the Bible and Allah are very different persons).

Ahmad Yaqeen and Gylippus have got it right: the ground-zero mosque hullabaloo is all about dhimmitude. The liberal kowtowing to muslim demands re: koran-burning works on the assumption that if you give the muslims what they demand, then they will leave the rest of us alone. "If you burn the Koran or don't give them the mosque they will be enraged and attack us," to which the proper response is "If you don't burn the Koran and build the mosque they will still attack us." Face it, we are at war with international Islam, just as the western world has been at war with Islam since the 7th century. Nothing less than "doing the necessary"–whatever that may be–will deal with the threat that Islam poses to America.

    • Barbi Rose

The president said we are not at war with Islam. The president says it is not Islamic Fanatics but some misguided individuals (who happen to be islamic though) The president says we are not at war it's an simple overseas contingency type of thing. That's the spirit – and I'm not being sarcastic .
Just look at their terrible behaviour – why should we show any respect at all ?
The more people draw attention to how dangerous they are the better .
The thing about all books being sacred / to burn is uncivlised etc . is only intellectual twaddle .
There are millions of other korans to read ( unfortunately)
And we are in the middle of a war that we didn't ask for

    • Barbi Rose

Yeh if we burned Mein Kamp durring world war 2 it wouldn't have been a problem. If we burned german books it would not have been a problem or Japanese books or refused to eat Italian food no problem because people had a right to get angry and display their anger in a peaceful way. These things don't hurt anyone just allow people to burn off extra steam that might in effect hurt someone if they had not. Yet we are at war with Islam as that is what those of Islam keep saying and we cannot say it? The president of the USA won't say it, what are they afraid of the truth?

Sometimes, just sometimes, I wish we could get as fired up in the streets about things like the invasion of the U.S. by Iran and so forth, but you have a point. They are virtually the only people in modern history who react in such a childlike manner, for things that, while they may be in bad taste, pose no actual threat to them. It is not illegal, in the U.S. to destroy a bible, a koran, or any other religious book. You might say it is in bad taste, and even silly to do so (you are not going to convince anyone, one way or the other, who is not already convinced). While the burning might be silly, the reaction is to the point of comical. Someone burns a book, and you riot. We are afraid of these people? They are children, and we could easily use their irrationality, emotions and lack of logic to defeat them. Seems like, with a little thought we could provoke them into some kind of violent act(s), mass or otherwise, that would justify unrestricted warfare and retaliation.

No doubt they'll celebrate again if a massive mosque is placed at the same site.

The ground zero mosque and the proposed koran burning represent very usefull developments to help wake up sleepwalking Americans to a very real problem. It will find folks having to remove blinders to the fact that America is being besieged. No civilized being condones book burning because it reminds one of Hitler but if Europeans had started burning Hitler's Mein Kampf before he gained power, they might have cut him off at the pass and avoided WW II. Sadly, the politically correct names who have gone public with their shock and protest over the proposed burning of the Koran have remained very silent on the mosque at ground zero issue. Do they kowtow to the Muslims out of fear or some perverted sense of correctness? And the most pathetic item in this mix is General Petraeus warning that burning the Koran will angry the enemy who will start shooting at our boys. Our president has trained several mouthpieces to speak for him in public. Imagine Generals Eisenhower or Patton or McArthur telling Americans to be nice to Germans and Japs so that they won't get upset with us. Presidents Roosevelt or Truman would have called them in for a psychiatric examination. This was clearly serving a request from the White House and that is really pathetic.

Although I don't think Michelle Malkin is quite as "witty" as Ann Coulter, "Religion of Perpetual Outrage" is a good one. I'm stealing that.

  • USMCSniper

I will give you Islamophobia in spades. Muck the Fuzzlims! Kill 'em all, wrap 'em in their prayer rugs and put 'em all in piles, burn 'em all using pork grease for a starter, and let Allah sort 'em out. Oh deaaaarrr, I am just awful.

  • Trawna

Good article, but Michelle omitted the deaths caused by false reports of American officials at Guantanamo flushing a Koran down the toilet…no doubt there are many other omissions.

President Obama is indeed a devout Christian according to Robert Gibbs. When a reporter asked if he prays daily, Gibbs replied, "Of course, he does." When another reporter asked where he prays, Gibbs replied in the Oval Office. When another reporter asked how many times during the day he prayed, Gibbs replied, "Five times facing East."

  • Mike

A story from Pakistan suggested that someone there suggested Obama become the Muslim leader of the World. This is no joke. See WorldNet Daily today. We already know he is the Muslim leader in America, so why not make him the Muslim leader of the World. Maybe, he can earn that Nobel Peace Prize that he so richly deserved a year ago. Talk about a joke. President Barack Hussein Obama.

Why was there no similar outcry when the US military destroyed the Bibles in Afghanistan? What's good for the goose apparently isn't good for the gander!

I smoked the Quran. I expect to be stoned.

Like matter and anti-matter,Islam and "Religion". ISLAM'S definition of "Good" is tantamount to the definition the Western World refers to as Evil. Ignore the peaceful part of the Q'uaran. Islamic sharia dictates that it is latter revisions are the verses to follow.

In Christian theology, the stoning and other "eye for an eye" provisions were replaced with a "New Testament" of Christian values. Values Obama disparaged. I see no Jews stoning anyone and using the "Old testament" as justification. Islam is anathema to Judeo-Christian values:In Islam everything is mirror image. Hate is Love and love is hate. Peace is war and war is peace.

I have said it before and I will say it again: Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf IS a radical! BTW, I have made an observation: radical Leftists make every excuse for violent Muslims, yet if one uses the radical Left's own "reasoning" would one not think that Muslim fanatics are a bunch of "racist, sexist, homophobe, intolerant, fascist, dangerous, violent, religious right-wing bigots?" After all, Muslim fanatics do EVERYTHING that the radical Left "hates!"

  • Gylippus

Upon further reflection, I concede the point. Once we start making excuses or second guessing our freedom to do as well please, where does it stop? Thanks for your persuasive argument Mr. Alamaya.

"Once upon a time I bought into the leftist myth that for every problem there was a government solution. And that government had the capability to perfect human society. A myth that the clueless wonder in the White House is providentially burning to the ground. It was no wonder, and no accident in my view, that Ted Kennedy (Obama's kingmaker) in a moment of rare oracular clarity once called Obama by the name OSAMA BIN LADIN, confusing him with the terrorist. For Barack Hussein Obama is the 9/11 of Liberalism."

A short list of violent verses in Koran:
"Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them.” Koran 2:191
“Make war on the infidels living in your neighborhood.” Koran 9:123
“When opportunity arises, kill the infidels wherever you catch th…em.” Koran 9:5
“Any religion other than Islam is not acceptable.” Koran 3:85
“The Jews and the Christians are perverts; fight them.”… Koran 9:30
“Maim and crucify the infidels if they criticize Islam” Koran 5:33
“Punish the unbelievers with garments of fire, hooked iron rods, boiling water; melt their skin and bellies.” Koran 22:19
“The unbelievers are stupid; urge the Muslims to fight them.” Koran 8:65
“Muslims must not take the infidels as friends.” Koran 3:28
“Terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Qur’an.” Koran 8:12
“Muslims must muster all weapons to terrorize the infidels.” Koran 8:60

Mohammed couldn't read or write, so illiteracy is Sunna. And as he was a violent warlord, violence is Sunna. Sunna : Generally applied term in Islam, denoting what is the customary practice. Article in the LookLex / Encyclopaedia.

The ideological destruction of Islam will free 5 billion non-Muslim 'INFIDELS' from the fear of Mu-ham-mad's Jihad, and will liberate 1.5 billion Muslims from Mu-ham-mad's oppressive yoke of submission.
A "phobia" is an irrational fear. Thus, "homophobia" is an irrational fear of homosexuality.
Which, of course, is silly on several levels. ISLAMOPHOBIA REFERS TO AN IRRATIONAL FEAR.

  • Ken Spiker

Suppose in 1944 some pissed-off citizen in some remote town declared he'd burn "Mein Kampf" to show his contempt for the Nazis. Suppose President Roosevelt had declared that he must not do it because it would endanger the troops–BECAUSE IT MIGHT MAKE THE NAZIS ANGRY!! Can anybody imagine an more stupid thing for a President to say in the middle of a war?

  • An Dean

Burning the Quran isn't enough… We need to mould the leftover ash into suppositories and mail them to Mecca so they can, quite literally, shove it up their ar$e..

  • deprofundis

all this bickering, blame them, this and that thing – fear abound you fools! have you no belief of your own? i implore you to be grounded in your own connection with all that is and not worry so much…it makes you look weak and it spreads hate. can you feel the vibration of unconditional love??? (note: you may have to turn off your automaton thinking mechanisms for at least a short while to do this – don't worry though, they'll still be there to confuse you when your awareness lapses, but do keep trying – consistency is the key!)

  • Ridi

Islam is a religion of hate. Just to convince you all, read the following authentic Hadiths in which Muhammad says fight everyone who thinks differently from you:

Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 2, Number 35:
    Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, "The person who participates in Holy battles in Allah's cause and nothing compels him to do so except belief in Allah and His Apostles, will be recompensed by Allah either with a reward, or booty (if he survives) or will be admitted to Paradise (if he is killed in the battle as a martyr).

    Sahih Muslim Chapter 9
Command for fighting against the people so long as they do not profess that there is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger.

  • steve

we have a moral duty to burn the koran, we literally have a situation where one religion has created a worldwide ban on any comments that are crirical of it, in europe its illegal to publish comments that arecritical of islam just ask geert wilders who might go to jail for doing just that,if you support free speech burn the koran just to show the muslim world that we are not intimidated by them,

  • Buck

These muslims are not too bright, it is true, due to years of inbreeding (70% of Pakis marry first cousins).

But even without the mental deficits that result from inbreeding, in terms of the global bell curve, in terms of IQ arabs are just slightly ahead of the blacks (but behind ashkenazi jews, orientals, and whites).

A dimwitted religion with a dumb bible for a dumb people.

  • Islam hating kafir

It is thrilling my heart to read all of the anti-Islamic comments. I remember reading the Koran about 35 years ago and found that all it was about was their prophet Mo's pedophilia, murdering, plundering and thieving. I despise the Muslim religion and do not trust anyone who claims to be one. There is no such thing as a moderate Muslim. If it came down to a choice between Islam and protecting America, who do you think the moderate Muslim would side with? They are taught to use sublety and lies in their efforts to subdue non-Muslims; and don't let anyone tell you that 'jihad' is some kind of inner struggle, it still means to subdue the infidels by any force necessary. As the percentage of them increase here in the U.S. they will cause more and more trouble.
Although I'm usually a courteous and polite person, in the last few years whenever I'm in the presence of Muslims (males or females) I show them no respect. I detest everything about them.

  • Iranian Dissident

I am against insulting other people's sacred symbols because I know first hand what pain it inflicts.

The Islamic Republic in Iran burned shipments of Jewish-Christian Bibles back in May-June of 2010, as reported in Farsi language Iranian government linked web sites back then.
Unfortunately these extremists know what kind of pain they inflict and that is exactly why they do it. They are in the business of humiliating and destroying people who have different beliefs.
Destroying the 1500 Buddha Statues in Afghanistan, burning Flags of other countries and etc…. are done for the same reason.

The good pastor , missed a golden opportunity this weekend , he had the media hooked and standing by , waiting for the infamous act , the entire world watching …… in the "hour of the burning " , he could have toosed the lighter fluid away ,announcing that he will not BURN the koran , rather but READ it and EXPOSE it .
… and his congregants could have paraded LARGE placards with the koranic verses , Suras numbered for accuracy , and began a weekend of reading the koran publicly ….in the face of the muslims and right in the face of the world .
Yup , a golden opportunity was missed , perhaps someone will pick up the gauntelet and proceed with what is the first step .

  • badaboo

….after all , every one already knows that muslims persecute , denigrate and destroy all that is not islam , and exposing the koran would provide undeniable PROOF , that all that we see around the globe in the behavior of muslims , is EXACTLY what their book prescribes , and they are following it to the letter .

  • badaboo

P.S. all through history , great men , noteworthy ,famous , reasonable men , civilised and intelligent men , have had exactly the same reaction to the koran , once having read it ….and it is the same today .

  • dhimminology

    Great article by Michelle!
Although I don't agree with the Floridan pastor's METHOD(i.e. burning the Quran), that act would not have caused any physical harm or death. Freedom of speech and conscience allows that. That Muslims threatened and some resorted to violence at any criticism(however slight!) of their religion reveal how intolerant they are to freedom of speech and conscience. Muslim apologists and 'moderates' have used religious freedom in the West to covertly strengthen their presence and influence there while slowly undermining the beliefs of non-Muslims. For me, a non-Muslim living in a Muslim country, I know how evil the 'religion' of Islam is. The West better wake up before it's too late(I think it's too late for Western Europe – their leaders are the most corrupted communists!).

  • dhimminology

Anyway, Quran burning which is NON-LIFE-THREATENING and DOES NOT LEAD TO PHYSICAL INJURY is nothing compared to an incident where Christians in Indonesia were attacked leading to physical harm. Although those injured 'did not have life-threatening injuries' – the intent to physically harm and maim and maybe kill is evident. It occurred even as our Floridan pastor retracted from buring the Quran. Here's the article:-

  • JacksonPearson

Islam is at war with the world…when people finally internalize that rational, then, and only then will they understand the evil that's being perpetrated!

  • LeeSouthend

    Read then burn it.
The Koran is a short read so a couple of lunch breaks should do it.
Now that Iv read this devil script, Im alot more confident in holding the dhimmies to account when I hear there lies then I was when I just took other peoples word for what it said.
Read the Koran! Burn the Koran! Throw shoes at the followers of the Koran!

  • Pyriel

Personally, I think it's time for all out Genocide of the Muslims. Their Empire has grown too far and they have infiltrated too much. They commit the most horrendous atrocities in the name of their false religion, even worse then the Christians of the Crusades and the Nazis of WW2 Germany. They are nothing but scum and I would urge everyone to burn all the qurans they find, tear down their mosques, and get anyone who is muslim out of power will all the force they can muster. It is time to FIGHT BACK PEOPLE!!!!!

    FU** YOU ALL.
