Obama Ridicules Palin’s Nuclear Expertise

In a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black, President Barack Obama on Thursday made perfectly clear that he wasn’t going to take nuclear advice from Sarah Palin.
Obama and Russian President Medvedev yesterday signed a much heralded ”New Start” treaty, a successor to the 1991 Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty.
This new treaty will shrink the limit of nuclear warheads to 1,550 each over seven years, down about a third from the current ceiling of 2,200. It also renounces the development of new nuclear weapons.
Sarah Palin, former Alaska governor, weighed in on this supposedly ‘landmark’ blow for world peace by saying Obama’s new policy “was like a child in a playground who says ‘punch me in the face, I’m not going to retaliate.’”
that he wasn’t going to take advice from Palin when it comes to decisions on the U.S. nuclear arsenal.
“I really have no response to that. The last I checked, Sarah Palin is not much of an expert on nuclear issues,” Obama said in an interview with ABC News.
Which begs the question: Just when did Obama become a nuclear expert? Does being a community organizer automatically confer nuclear expertise? Or is this another question we’re not supposed to ask?
