On Monday, authorities in Hamburg, Germany announced that they had finally shut down the Taiba mosque, which as the Al-Quds mosque in 2001 was a meeting place for several of the 9/11 jihad terrorists, including Mohamed Atta, and which continued to be a hotbed of jihad activity thereafter: a May 2010 report from Hamburg’s Interior Ministry called the mosque “the central attraction for the jihadist scene.”

Christoph Ahlhaus, Hamburg’s secretary of the interior, announced Monday: “Today we closed the Taiba mosque because young men were being turned into religious fanatics there. Behind the scenes, a supposed cultural organization shamelessly used the freedoms of our democratic rule of law to promote holy war. Hamburg cannot become a cradle for Islamists capable of violence.”

Yet that is exactly what it was. In March 2009 eleven Islamic jihadists who met in the Taiba mosque went to Pakistan, apparently to attend a jihad training camp. The mosque’s imam, Mamoun Darkazanli, may have aided al-Qaeda – and as the mosque was closed this week, his whereabouts were unknown.

The Hamburg mosque was not singular. In recent years mosques have been used to preach hatred; to spread exhortations to terrorist activity; to house a bomb factory; to store weapons; to disseminate messages from bin Laden; to demand (in the United States) that non-Muslims conform to Islamic dietary restrictions; to fire on American troops; to fire upon Indian troops; to train jihadists; and much more.

The record of mosques in the United States is not much better. As long ago as January 1999, the Naqshbandi Sufi leader Sheikh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani declared in a State Department Open Forum that Islamic supremacists controlled most mosques in America: “The most dangerous thing that is going on now in these mosques,” he said, “that has been sent upon these mosques around the United States – like churches they were established by different organizations and that is ok – but the problem with our communities is the extremist ideology. Because they are very active they took over the mosques; and we can say that they took over more than 80% of the mosques that have been established in the US. And there are more than 3000 mosques in the US. So it means that the methodology or ideology of extremist has been spread to 80% of the Muslim population, but not all of them agree with it.”

Terrorism expert Yehudit Barsky affirmed the same thing in 2005, saying that 80% of the mosques in this country “have been radicalized by Saudi money and influence.” The Center for Religious Freedom found in 2005 a massive distribution of hateful jihadist and Islamic supremacist material in mosques in this country. And in June 2008 federal investigators found that the Islamic Saudi Academy in Virginia, despite promises to stop teaching such material, was still using books that advocated that apostates from Islam be executed and that it was permissible for Muslims to kill and seize the property of “polytheists.”

I have to assume that the Hamburg Islamists will look forward to relocating to their bigger and better digs in the Big Apple. The monument to extremism that was Hamburg will now move to NY.

What is the FBI doing, are they investigating Mosques in America for dangerous
activities or is Barry Hussein ordering them to insure these subversive cultists
are protected from interference with their right to destroy us from within? Every Mosqe
in America should be closed and all of the Islamist cultists deported, it may take
away business from bath houses but tough. We have enough oil of our own to
use, Saudi Arabil should be cut off as the obvious use of the money they make here
is used to spread hatred and death. Thank you environmentalist (leftist subversives)
for using our system to tie our hands and insure our weakness and addiction
to outside resources. The FBI should be examining the funding of these people
and the connection to socialist subversion and Jihadist expansion……….William

The AL AQSA masjid was closed because the place was dead and it's members couldn't provide new information. Terror has moved on. Other places in central Germany are now more interesting, especially the DITIB places which were better monitored from the beginning.

Contemporary America has lost much of the spirit that created this country but it can only be pushed so far and then it will respond wildly. Nothing will happen during Obama's watch and the blind Bloombergs but eventually the 3000 mosques in America will also be closed, if not by authorities, by the people.

Not only has Feisal Abdul Rauf lied to the public, he indulged in apologetics for jihadist mass-murder in a September 30, 2001 interview with Ed Bradley on "60 Minutes":

"In fact, in the most direct sense, Osama bin Laden is made in the USA."

Clearly, this blatant falsehood constitutes an effort to provide political cover for bin Laden and the jihadists responsible for the massacre of 3000 defenseless civilian non-combatants on 9/11. What does Abdul Rauf's apologetics for jihadist mass-murder tell us about the man, his views and where his sympathies lie?

The conclusions we can draw from Abdul Rauf's attempt to provide political cover for bin Laden, who was in fact, in the most direct sense, made in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the black heart of Wahhabist Islam, are even more troubling than the lies Mr. Spencer pointed out in his article.

Apologists for jihadist mass-murder are not moderates – they operate on the same depraved moral plane as the mass-murderers themselves. How is it that Rudy Giuliani understands this but Michael Bloomberg does not? Abdul Rauf's apologetics are no different than those made by Alwaleed bin Talal in 2001, yet somehow, Abdul Rauf's morally vacuous remarks get a pass from the current mayor. It is painfully obvious that Bloomberg is derelict in more ways than his cavalier failure to protect the public.

Too many omega males running our country who have embraced dhimmitude and just want the Islamic crocodile to eat them last.

An interesting story by an Arabic-speaking American woman:

"…as much as we'd like to pretend it hasn't, jihad has reached Small-Town, USA. This mosque isn't in Washington, D.C., or New York City. This is a small mosque in a small town in the deep South.

And if it's in this tiny little quiet southern town, it's probably in your hometown, too."

"Michael Bloomberg may one day be remembered with the same sense of moral revulsion that should be accorded Hamburg authorities …"

Michael Bloomberg may one day be remembered with the same sense of moral revulsion that was accorded Benedict Arnold.

It's not enough to just close this mosque, Germany should also deport the haters that met there too.

The alarm bells just keep ringing louder and louder. Lots of people are wide awake, many are just now rubbing the sleep from their eyes, but there are still too many with their eyes squeezed tight hoping and praying for their multiculturalist lives that islam is the tolerant accepting "religion" that the deceivers and the apologists say it is.

We need to speed the process up. I just joined ACT! For America and attended one of their seminars. I encourage YOU to do the same. Or join a group like SIOA. Also, try to get a friend or relative to go with you!

Please America let's stand-up for our God-given rights before the islamic death cult parleys our collective naivete into a political steamroller that crushes our liberty right here in the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave!!!

This gives me an idea to counter Islamic terrorism. In the USA it is common practice for the vehicles and houses used in drug crimes to be confiscated. If we confiscated mosques that allowed terrorism to be taught or encouraged, it would possibly give the peaceful Muslims the incentive to purge the terrorists from their ranks and not give them shelter rather than loose their holy buildings. I also agree that involvement in such activity at a low level should lead to being kicked out of the country, while higher level involvement should of course lead to prison.
