President Government

Pages: 1 2

Another thing that can be attributed to the new makeup of Congress is the president’s slightly chastened posture. In 2009, after all, he was the “I won” president; during the 2011 State of Union, he was the “we can work together” president.

Some of the changes—both rhetorical and actual—reflected in the 2011 address make your eyes roll uncontrollably. For example, the president boasted in yesterday’s address that he’s “ordered a review of government regulations.”

Really? The president’s healthcare-reform law creates 159 new sub-agencies, committees, bureaus and commissions, each with a regulatory role. Likewise, the financial overhaul that was passed in mid-2010 creates 243 brand new federal rulemaking authorities, spawning thousands of new pages in the Federal Register. And the Heritage Foundation has found that in 2010 “an unprecedented 43 major new regulations were imposed by Washington. And based on reports from government regulators themselves, the total cost of these rules topped $26.5 billion.”

The president also displayed a Clintonian level of brazenness during his State of the Union address by taking credit for tax cuts he once campaigned against—“Thanks to the tax cuts we passed, Americans’ paychecks are a little bigger today [and] every business can write off the full cost of the new investments they make this year”—before calling for those same tax cuts to be eliminated. “We simply cannot afford a permanent extension of the tax cuts for the wealthiest 2 percent of Americans,” he said.

So, in 2008 and 2009, he was against the extension of those tax rates—they are not “cuts” after seven years on the books. He was then for the extension in December 2010 (because he signed it. He was still for it in the first third of his 2011 State of the Union address. And he was against it in the final third of his 2011 State of the Union address.

That brings us to what remains the same inside the White House. President Obama believes in government. He believes government knows best how to spend the American people’s hard-earned money, how to allocate resources, solve problems, create jobs, and, of course, “invest.”

For President Obama, “invest” as a euphemism for government spending.

In 2009, it was a promise “to invest in areas like energy, health care, and education.” He talked about government’s role in building railroads, creating “a system of public high schools,” laying down highways, sending a man to the Moon, and triggering “an explosion of technology.” Thanks to his recovery plan, he boasted, “we will double this nation’s supply of renewable energy…lay down thousands of miles of power lines… [and] put Americans to work making our homes and buildings more efficient.”

In 2010, it was “invest in our people.” The president vowed to use government to “create the conditions necessary for businesses to expand and hire more workers…building the infrastructure of tomorrow.”

And in 2011, it’s a promise to “invest in biomedical research, information technology, and especially clean energy technology;” a success story that begins “with the help of a government loan;” a future dependent on “100,000 new teachers;” a vision for “thousands of good jobs for the hard-hit construction industry” to “put more Americans to work repairing crumbling roads and bridges;” “investments in innovation, education and infrastructure.”

In a Freudian slip, John McCain once called Barack Obama “Senator Government.” Today, he’s President Government.

"Invest" as a euphemism for government spending…

How about the euphemism "president" for the impostor and social security fraud Obama/Soetoro?..

Let's not forget a very important fact about Obama,
      he is a muslim.

State of the Union speeches seldom produce inspirational or defining outcomes…Kennedy and Reagan were the exception…The president', with his bully pulpit, serves the nation best when inspiring and motivating the American people through a passion that is perceived as real and honest…The flat, uninspired, and bald boilerplate pronouncements had me going ho-hum, here we go again…All the usual suspects, lined up and paraded in new clothes, but still wearing the same dirty underwear…Will someone please change the diaper..?

The entire time Obama was talking, I was thinking, “How does he keep a straight face?” Also, one of Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals kept popping into my mind, “Say one thing, and do another.” If you heard his speech last night, you would have thought he was a Reagan Democrat, a centrist who wanted to cut spending. For the sake of our nation, I would hope there were others who saw behind the mask of the man who has already started campaigning for the 2012 election; and, that, when he called for unity in our country, they remembered his divisive words on countless other occasions, and all the enemies of capitalism with whom he surrounds himself.

The old adage holds up: "B.S. baffles." While press and political critics felt the speech was a failure I'll bet that the ignorant mass will up his acceptance rating by another 5-10 points. He got his training organizing the lamebrains in the slums and he knows what buttons to push to gain their favor. I pray that he exposes his evil to such a degree that even the dumbest in America will understand that he poses a greater threat to America than Hitler and Stalin ever did.

By coincidence, my favorite movie, "The Sting" and the SOTU speech were on at the same time so I flipped back and forth and I couldn't tell which was more fictional! Both were about Con artists. The Con-Artist-in-Chief tried to pull another CON on the American people! He thinks we actually believe that he's reformed and heading towards the middle but where is the middle in the Democrat Party since many are further to the Left of the Twilight Zone?
He's like an alcoholic who is changing his drunken ways? No more all nighters in smoky back rooms making deals? What are the odds of him falling off the wagon? Why did he then bring in a Chicago mob boss, Richard Daley, as his right hand man in charge of the Goon Squad/CULT? And why did he bring in a crook like Jeffery Emmelt whose own business is a failure as 29 GE factories are closed losing 35,000 jobs and he's in charge of creating jobs of which 25,000 he created and outsourced overseas?

Well I sat through all three speeches, nearly fell asleep during the long drawling Obama liefest, was a bit uplifted with the Republican response, then I changed to CNN and watched the Tea Party response, and let me tell you, if I could stand up, I would have stood up and cheered!

Hell yes, I am changing my voter registration from Republican to Tea Party as soon as I can get to the County Seat.

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The public can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president."

What you fail to understand is that Obama & his followers are EVIL.

    The New Element

The densest element yet known to science has been discovered. The new element has been named "Obamacronium."

Obamacronium has one neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 911.

These particles are held together by dark forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.

The symbol for Obamacronium is "O."

Obamacronium's mass actually increases over time, as these morons randomly interact with various elements in the atmosphere and become assistant deputy neutrons in a Obamacronium molecule, forming a large cluster of idiotopes.

This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientists to believe that Obamacronium is formed whenever morons reach a critical mass also known as "Critical Morass."

When catalyzed with money, Obamacronium activates CNNnewsium, an element radiating several orders of magnitude more energy, mostly as incoherent noise, since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons.

Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting. Well, for example, the other day I went downtown and into a shop. I was only there for about 5 minutes, and when I came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. I said to him, 'Come on, man, how about giving a retired person a break'? He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. I called him a 'Nazi.' He glared at me and wrote another ticket for having worn tires. So I called him a 'doughnut eating Gestapo.' He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he wrote a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more I abused him the more tickets he wrote. Personally, I didn't care. I came downtown on the bus, and the car that he was putting the tickets on had a bumper sticker that said, 'I ♥ Obama.' I try to have a little fun each day now that I'm retired. It's important to my health.

    Ooh Rah!

Retired Marine and former Pan Am/Delta Pilot John Lovell is Top Gun at Subway sandwich shop..!

Plantation, Florida: Last week police were called to investigate an attempted armed robbery: The 71-year-old retired Marine who opened fire on two robbers at a Plantation, Florida, Subway shop late Wednesday, killing one and critically wounding the other, is described as John Lovell, a former helicopter pilot for two presidents. He doesn't drink, he doesn't smoke, and he works out every day. Mr.. Lovell was a man of action Wednesday night.

According to Plantation police, two masked gunmen came into the Subway at 1949 N. Pine Rd. just after 11 p.m. There was a lone diner, Mr. Lovell, who was finishing his meal. After robbing the cashier, the two men attempted to shove Mr. Lovell into a bathroom and rob him as well. They got his money, but then Mr. Lovell pulled his handgun and opened fire. He shot one of the thieves in the head and chest and the other in the head.

When police arrived, they found one of the men in the shop, K-9 Units found the other in the bushes of a nearby business. They also found cash strewn around the front of the sandwich shop according to Detective Robert Rettig of the Plantation Police Department..

Both men were taken to the Broward General Medical Center, where one, Donicio Arrindell, 22, of North Lauderdale died. The other, 21-year-old Frederick Gadson of Fort Lauderdale is in critical but stable condition.

Mr. Lovell was a pilot in the Marine Corps, flying former Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. He later worked as a pilot for Pan Am and Delta Airlines.

He is not expected to be charged authorities said. ''He was in fear for his life,'' Detective Rettig said, "These criminals ought to realize that most men in their 70's have military backgrounds and aren't intimidated by idiots."

Something tells me this old Marine wasn't 'in fear for his life', even though his life was definitely at risk. The only thing he could be charged with is participating in an unfair fight. One 71- year young Marine against two punks. Two head shots and one center body mass shot.

Outstanding shooting! That'll teach them not to get between a Marine and his meal.

Florida law allows eligible citizens to carry a concealed weapon. Don't you just love a story with a happy ending?

I just love a story with a "Happy ending" !!!
If it weren't for the United States military,
there'd be NO United States of America .

Ooooh rahh…It is our killer instincts which must be harnessed if we expect to survive in a war or with crooks. Our weapons are only tools. It is a hard heart that kills. If our killer instincts are not clean and strong we will hesitate at the moment of truth. We will not kill. We will become dead Marines And then ywe will be in a world of trouble. Because there are a billion Chicoms, a billion Muslims, a whole lot of crooks, and on a few of us who will fight! Do you understand?

    • qsome

thank you raymond for this story. LOVED IT! i really liked what the cop said about these guys in there 70's having military backgrounds. thank God they do!

Obama's speech was a flop! Boring to say the least but I couldn't help noticing that he seemed to be gritting his teeth saying words that he did not believe in at all. He is an ideologue since his youth and will NEVER change. The words came out but everyone knew the bi-partisan and moderate views he was professing were insincere! Now it's off to the races with his first campaign trip to WI and doing what he thrives on and that is duping the audiences with his showmanship and charisma. Never saw anyone love an audience like this narcissist!

MOSCOW – Prime Minister Vladimir Putin vowed revenge Tuesday for the suicide bombing that killed 35 people at a Moscow airport — a familiar tough-on-terrorism stance that has underpinned his power but also led to a rising number of deadly attacks in Russia.

    More killing done by muslims.

    • Fred Dawes

Putin is a fool and the system inside the former USSR Is a total joke but so is our system, today at 3am the city conuncil of Temecula passed a bill to build the really big Mosque it will be well over 200,000 sq ft and some of it is being build with PC Money or redevelopment money. it is A, V, Mosque.

Obama wants to shove a new Great Society down our throats. The one he wants will make LBJ's look like a drop in the ocean. He is banking on his "Bread and Circus" act to keep enough idiots blindly voting for him.

The problem he has is that there are too many conscious people in this country who will not bow before his worthless hide. Him and his commie buddies will never succeed. God will not allow it.

  • hijinx60

Solomon said, "There is nothing new under the sun." That is as good a summation of Obama'a speech as I could think of. Claiming credit for the tax cuts that he was forced to sign, Claiming healthcare that wrecks the economy a victory…. Feeding us BS and saying it is candy. Well, actions speak louder than words and his actions are and have been a trainwreck. I don't buy any of it.

  • Fred Dawes

I have listen to many people talk about our system and understand this system is dead, and what is a nation but its people, when i hear people talk about the ideals of america i start to understand what is happening the boy want us all inside a third wortld monkey house and we will be in that monkey house real soon.

  • exchangerates

People don't seem to understand that when we print money that we don't have, that makes all dollars worth less (not quite worthless). THAT inflation is a HIDDEN TAX.
Even more disgusting is that that "tax" goes to the Federal Reserve, who charges us "interest" and as we pay that tax, they get paid it.

It's such a SCAM but our "leaders" are owned by the banksters and you'll never hear the truth from them or the LameStream Media.
