A Disaster in the Making

For purposes of clarification, let us spell out the typical justifications for creation of a state.  The justification for Israel, for example, was fourfold: Israel was the historic homeland of the Jews from which they had been expelled, but had never stopped attempting to return; Jews required a homeland to prevent the consistent attempts to destroy their existence; Jews have a distinct culture, history, language and religion; Jews were a toehold for civilization in a brutally backward part of the world.

The so-called Palestinians fulfill none of these requirements.  There was no historic Palestinian homeland because there was never a historic Palestine governed by Arabs. In fact, even the Palestinians seem unclear on whether Jordan (which is 70% “Palestinian”) is part of historic Palestine.  Palestinians did not attempt to rise up against Jordanian or Egyptian rule between 1948 and 1967; instead, they focused on destroying Israel.  Nobody has attempted to wipe the Palestinian Arabs from the face of the earth – they flourish in mass numbers across Europe and the Middle East, and now threaten to take control of Jordan.  Palestinians are not a distinct people; their leaders hail largely from Jordan or Egypt.

Its population defined itself by recently electing Hamas to govern Gaza.  Even its “moderate” faction, Fatah, was an armed wing of the terrorist PLO.  Mahmoud Abbas, Fatah’s current leader, has honored planners of the murder of Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympics in Munich.  Every governing body the Palestinians have ever had is a rehashed terrorist group – and its population appears to like it that way.

In fact, establishment of an independent Palestinian state would be profoundly immoral, being, as it would, a huge base for all efforts to wipe the Jews off the face of the earth, once and for all.  The Arab states would funnel weapons and armaments into the new Palestinian state.  As “moderate” PLO representative Faisal Husseini said in May 2001, “There is a difference between the strategic goal of the Palestinian people, which is not willing to give up even one grain of Palestinian soil, and the political [tactical] effort that has to do with the [present] balance of power and with the nature of the present international system.  The latter is a different effort than the former.  We may lose or win [tactically] but our eyes will continue to aspire to the strategic goal, namely, to Palestine from the river to the sea.”

The Palestinian terror state would be another anti-American terror state in the Middle East.  It would provide a training and resource outlet for terrorists who seek to harm America.  If the Palestinian areas were famous for their chief export being terrorism before, a Palestine would up the ante, turning the territory into a veritable mini-Iran.

Abbas' satehood bid has put an end to the decades of discussion about the pors and contras of a pali state. Occupation or a Plai state "light" are of the table.

If a Pali state is to be viable, it must cater for the interests of the Palis, not the interests of Israel, the West or the USA.

If a Pali state is a no-go, then Israel must annex, and integrate Westbank Palis as citizens.

A return to another 4 decades of "negotiations" and " deliberations" is of the table from now on. Its a take it or leave it.

What planet do you live on? Arabs will never stop until Israel is destroyed, this they openly state and yet people like you and many in the west refuse to believe it for some reason, I don’t understand which part of it you don’t understand. As soon as they gave back Gaza and pulled out of lebanon, hamas and hezbollah declared war! If you don’t think Israel should exist either, at least be man.enough to say it.

"If a[n Arab settler] state is a no-go, then Israel must annex,…"

…and expel the entire Arab settler-colonist population. Sudeten Arabs must go the way of the Sudeten Germans in 1945.

"…..and expel the entire Arab settler-colonist population. Sudeten Arabs must go the way of the Sudeten Germans in 1945….."

A logical step if Palis are not to belong in an annexed Westbank. And why does Israel not follow this course and expel 2,5 million? Wouldn't such a step be far more honest than this current "settlement" nonsense and plaing democracy?

Note the picture: NEW YORK- Adolf Hitler's autobiography, Mein Kampf, in which he explains his virulent hatred of Jews, has made it to the best-seller list in the Palestinian Authority-controlled territories. The French news agency, Agence France Presse, reports that Mein Kampf is presently at number six on the PA best-seller list. It noted that Mein Kampf was banned from the territories during the years of Israeli administration of the region, but was recently allowed in by the PA.

Jews are the most vilified minority that ever existed. If a Palestinian star is formed I believe the Arabs will go for their final solution for their problem with Jews. Make no mistake these people want to exterminate the Jews.

  • mrbean

There is no equivalency between Israel and the Palestinians, Palestinians have chosen the rules of the game. Let them know in no uncertain terms what "Never Again" means. It is a matter of record that Palestinians strap munitions on their own women and children and send them out on homicide-suicide missions to murder other innocent Jewish women and children in markets, restuarants, on school buses, and in their homes. The Palestinians in their own words and by their actions are committed to the genocide of the Jewish people therefore, have foreited their rights to even exist at all let alone having a UN and US sanctioned terrorist state of their

Shapiro outlines the Israeli path to self-determination and then promptly tries to make those the “REQUIREMENTS” of non-Israeli self determination. He lives in and benefits from a country that does not meet those so called REQUIREMENTS either. When he was fast tracked through his yeshiva education to fulfill the Jewish requirement to be a lawyer, he seems to have skipped history class.

    • ziontruth

They should be the requirements for the falsely-called "Palestinians." The fact that you wish to relax those requirements speaks volumes. You have no problem criticizing such requirements as are intended to block the formation of states by groups that do not really have their own self-determination in mind, but the taking away of self-determination from others.

The Arab imperialists do not want self-determination, for they have quite enough of that. They wish to kill all Israeli Jews in order to steal all their possessions. This fraudulent non-Jewish "Palestinian nation" narrative is just a cowardly attempt to mask that patently unjust agenda. You are a supporter of Arab imperialism.

      • http://www.contextflexed.com Flipside

They are not requirements. They are the arbitrary demands of a shyster lawyer.

    • intrcptr2

      OK, fine, smart guy.

Rather than mouthing your perpetual hatred, how's about giving us your outline of just why Palestine ought to be a nation-state.

Ben, used it as an example. Most of us here can figure out how to adjust it for other situtations.
And if you are so upset that the USA does not meet those "requirements", you could always emmigrate to Iran.

      • http://www.contextflexed.com Flipside

They want to be a nation state. That's a good enough reason.

I am not upset that the US doesn't meet Ben Shapiro's requirements for statehood. Ben Shapiro is an idiot.

        • New Yorker

Good enough reason? Not when it comes to being a real state. It takes more than just strapping explosives on one's childrens' bodies and shouting nonsense at the UN. An organized and entrenched thuggishness and barbarity is no nationhood.

          • http://www.contextflexed.com Flipside

            I agree.

Is that good enough reason for the Kurds, too? Or how about the Basques? Doesn't seem good enough for Kosovo, though.

Perhaps, if they wish to be a nation state, they should do like the Israelis did in the first place, and make one, without waiting for anyone to bestow the term on them from on high. They have dirt, money, and guns; they don't need anything else.

The Basques should be free to deal heroin and extasy if they want to. As for the KLA, the US knows their status as terrorists depends on which way our wind blows.

"Give one good reason a Palestinian state would benefit the world." … and while you're at it, Give one good reason why gays should be allowed in the military…

    Actually, don't bother… Both are rhetorical…

  • Marty

A palestinian state would be one more malevolent and tyrannical disaster in the arab world. One more government to make war on its own people and blame Israel for everything that goes wrong. Corruption, a brutal police and military, and incompetent governors are the main features of any arab state; palestine would be one more dreary reminder of just how alien arab culture is to democracy and human rights.

Flipside is so filled with hate it drips from every comment he makes. His anti-Semitism is so blatant it nullifies anything he writes. He does speak from his own flipside because nothing he says has any connection to brain matter; that is assuming his head is not in his rear.

    • http://www.contextflexed.com Flipside

Does this mean I can’t be on Arsenio?

    • rulierose

personally, I ignore flipside. people like him frequent comment boards like this, knowing that they can rile up people by saying outrageous things. it's clear he doesn't know anything about history, and that he doesn't want to know. so I don't give people like that the satisfaction of rising to their bait.

Jew haters are a dime a dozen, and many of them write and spell better than he does.

      • http://www.contextflexed.com Flipside

That's not true. It is utterly impossible for a Jew to ignore someone who does not fawn over him. It's narcissism on a national scale. One of the major problems confronting the world today is behavioral. World society is filled with persons who feel their platinum class identity has been infringed upon by some oppressive force that does not appreciate their innate specialness. The problem is Mister Rogers died too soon. You can no more ignore me than you can ignore the continued existence of Muslims in the world.

  • Ghostwriter

I've got a question for Flipside. When are the Palestinians going to apologize for the "Achille Lauro" hijacking that left Leon Klinghoffer,a wheelchair-bound old man dead? Knowing his Jew hatred,he probably celebrated something like that.

Abu Abbas did apologize for it in his own weird way, and Israel let him malinger around in Israel for a long time before he as finally captured in Iraq and died in US custody. The Achille Lauro even burst into flames and sank in homage to the Jews.

Why doesn't Israel apologize for running mail fraud scams from Boca Raton and populating cruise ships with obese Ashkenazis with distended colons?

Al Qaeda is telling that they are superior and are the chosen people. Zionist are telling that they are the chosen people and God has given the right over someone's land. First of all it does not matter who believes in what God, we all know that GOD CANNOT BE A RACIST. If he created all of us why would he choose some race above other? In my opinion God's chosen people are the ones who distinguish themselves with their kindness caring to other fellow human being. Not the ones who take over someone’s land in the name of God and control them in every way possible. It’s amazing to hear people talk about that part of the world and they never even mention Palestinians as people. I do not condone Palestinians’ some stupid violent actions (mostly due to loosing it with long-term persecution). Anyway, in the US aren't we allowed shoot anyone (in self defense) who is coming into our houses to harm us? So I guess Palestinian actions are understandable somewhat.

  • Peter manuel

Lets be real, all this has nothing to with God or being chosen by him. This ordeal is about real estate and financial gain, in other words greed. After all if you really look into history Jews and Arabs are brothers. Now the Zionist are way more powerful and trying to make use of it. But if we look into history it is impossible to bring peace with violence without serving justice. EVEN IF THEY GO BACK TO THE 1967 BORDERS ISRAEL HAS ALMOST 80% OF THE TOTAL LAND.
Also you just cannot eliminate a group just because they are weak. Remember Hitler tried to eliminate the Jews but now they are above all. If someone tries to trample another, God will bring up the one who has been wronged, because he belongs to God too.
We are all brothers and sisters of the human kind. Let’s learn to take care of each other and live together. There is much gratification in caring for others than being totally focused on fulfilling our own pleasures.

    • johnnywoods

Peter, What map are you looking at? when you say that "Israel has 80% of the total land", even with the 1967 borders.

  • Schlomo Bagelbaum

One million Arabs aren’t worth a single Jewish fingernail!

  • WilliamJamesWard

The Palestinians have been in a constant State of Evil, what can change, nothing.
Israel has no partner for peace, no good neighbor, nothing to expect but terror and
impending war. Americans and millions of them will step up to the plate when
the right leader comes forward, Israel should be wooing America as it's only
peace partner. I would never vote for anyone who is against Israel and understand
our American Schools under leftist control are misleading Americans who are
our future. If Israel does not end Palestinian destruction soon America will have
a future of chaos and turmoil greater than anything ever seen here before.

  • rulierose

all you need to know about the morality of a "Palestinian" state is the woman they chose to bring the petition to the UN. she is the mother of 4 men serving a total of 18 life sentences in Israeli jails for murdering Israeli civilians.

that's what the Pals consider a good role model.
