This article is reprinted from Jerusalem Post.

It was a stunning moment of moral clarity. As the South Vietnamese refugees clambered onto rickety boats in the South China Sea to escape the victorious Communists, the American Left that orchestrated the US defeat through a sustained campaign of propaganda and fake calls for peace stood silent.

As Pol Pot, the “progressive” dictator tortured and murdered a third of his people in Cambodia, the leftists “peace” activists in the US and Europe who never saw a US military operation that was justified, turned a blind eye.

The silence of the likes of Susan Sontag, Jane Fonda, Noam Chomsky and their fellow travelers came to mind last week when the Western media and intellectual elites averted their gaze as Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi, the long exiled spiritual guide of the Muslim Brotherhood spoke before a crowd of millions at Cairo’s Tahrir Square.

Qaradawi, who had been living in exile in Qatar during Hosni Mubarak’s reign, became an international jihadist superstar thanks to Qatar’s unelected potentate Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani who gave him his jihad indoctrination show on Al Jazeera. From his internationally televised soapbox, Qaradawi regularly preaches international jihad and genocide of Jewry to millions of fans worldwide.

Two important things happened during Qaradawi’s appearance in Cairo. First, his handlers refused to allow Google’s Egyptian Internet revolutionary Wael Ghonim to join the cleric on the dais. For anyone willing to notice, Qaradawi’s message in spurning Ghonim was indisputable. As far as the jihadists are concerned, Ghonim and his fellow Internet activists are the present day equivalent of Lenin’s useful idiots.

They did their job of convincing credulous Western liberals that the overthrow of Mubarak was all about sweetness and light.

And now they are no longer needed.

The second message was Qaradawi’s call to destroy Israel. With millions of adoring fans crying out “Amen,” and “Allahu Akhbar,” Qaradawi called for a Muslim conquest of Jerusalem – that is, for the destruction of Israel. As a first step, he demanded that the Egyptian military open the Egyptian border with Gaza.

In the dismal tradition of its Vietnam-era teachers, today’s international Left had nothing to say about Qaradawi’s genocidal speech. In the New York Times‘ write-up of Qaradawi’s triumphant return to Egypt for instance, the murder-inciting cleric was referred to as a champion of democracy and pluralism.

Leftist writers like Peter Beinart have spent the better part of the past month whitewashing and belittling the significance of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The same Muslim Brotherhood that was founded in 1928 and got its first boost from the Nazis who funded their anti-Jewish pogroms in Cairo and Alexandria in 1939 is seen as nothing to worry about. US President Barack Obama’s Director of National Intelligence James Clapper assured Congress that the Muslim Brotherhood is largely secular. This is the same Muslim Brotherhood whose motto is, “Allah is our objective; the prophet is our leader; the Koran is our law; Jihad is our way; Dying in the path of Allah is our goal.”

THE SAME Left who champions Qaradawi as a liberal is absolutely adamant that the revolutions now raging throughout the Muslim world are a mere sideshow to the region’s chief drama. The revolutions in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Bahrain, Yemen, Jordan, Oman, Morocco and Saudi Arabia are nothing. And the anti-regime protests in Iran have no strategic significance whatsoever to the West, which is mortally threatened by the mullocracy.

Who cares if the Arabs are ruled by tyrants, democrats, jihadists, or fascists? The only thing that matters is that “Palestine” is free of Israeli “occupation.”

How can anyone get excited about the future of the oil-dependent global economy when Jews still reside in Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria and Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem?

The Left’s essential indifference to the plight of hundreds of millions of Arabs and its significance for the West was exposed in a news analysis by Brendan O’Neill in The Australian on February 16. O’Neill noted that whereas the demonstrators in Cairo were fairly silent on the issue of the Palestinians, anti-Mubarak demonstrations throughout the West prominently featured anti-Israel slogans and chants of “Free, free Palestine!”

O’Neill concluded that the contrasting messages, “reveals something important about the Palestine issue…. [It] has become less important for Arabs and of the utmost symbolic importance for Western radicals at exactly the same time.”

Actually, it is important to Western leftists and jihadists, which is why the Palestinians only became a salient issue in Egypt after the Muslim Brotherhood began taking control over the opposition movement with Qaradawi’s sermon on February 18.

IN A groundbreaking study of the propaganda war against Israel entitled “The Big Lie and the Media War against Israel: From Inversion of Truth to Inversion of Reality,” published in Jewish Political Studies Review in March 2007, Joel Fishman showed that the Muslim Brotherhood’s propaganda war against Israel, like the Left’s propaganda war against Israel, relied heavily on Nazi propaganda against Jews.

The early partnership between the Brotherhood and the Nazis, brought together by Palestinian Arab leader and Nazi agent Haj Amin el Husseini imported European anti-Semitism to the Muslim world. Beginning in the early 1950s, Nazi war criminals immigrated to Egypt. There they recreated much of Josef Goebbels’ anti-Semitic propaganda operation for Gamal Abdel Nasser.

Great article, Caroline. You connected the dots at the end.

I'm not a Jew, nor an Evangelical Christian. While I greatly admire and sympathize with Israel, I have no intrinsic stake in her survival except as a free human being resisting the global Jihad. Israel is a front-line state in that resistance. This fact alone should be sufficient to clarify and justify our unqualified support.

you're owned. isreal is not the champion of peace and civil rights. those wonderful jews have been kicked out of every nation they've ever set up shop in for a reason. you've been bamboozled.

It may be a little late to say it but Obama, the Liberal Left and its Communist partners are being found out..

Not just in America but in Europe.

The next revolution in Europe will be led by the Nationalists.

Of which I am a proud member.

    • ziontruth

We are witnessing a watershed event: The recognition of the failure of plain, free-for-all democracy and the rise of self-defending, sandboxed, nation-exclusive republicanism (note small "r"). The disaster of multiculturalism, eventually, will have brought about the rise of nation-state republics in which members of the nation feel safe and secure, and in which pluralism is allowed but only up to the point of ideologies that go against the idea of the nation-exclusive republic, meaning Marxism and Islam will not be allowed.

Plain democracy should have been discredited back in 1933, when everyone could see what happened to Weimar Republic. Better late than never. If this global crisis of plain democracy instigates the ascent of a new, fortified style of democracy, self-protecting and nation-protecting, then all the trials and tribulations of the present time will have been worth it.

      • macdaddy

I agree and think we need to get there. Much of the Left may ultimately accept this when they see it necessary for their own very personal survival. However, they will slow it down with their hand wringing as to where the "point of ideologies" lies giving us the "slippery slope" argument along the way. The slippery slope is always a danger, but it is a speculative one that has the capability of being turned around. The danger that the "free-for-all democracy" creates with Islamists in the mix is real, definite and persistent and is a much more dire threat.

        • ziontruth

I distinguish between two kinds of Left: The old-style, patriotic Social-Democrat Left and the radical, anti-nationalist, anti-Western, pro-jihad Marxist Left. Although the former was all but swept over by the tide that started with the 1960s (when Gramsci's idea of the "Long March Through The Institutions" was put to practice in the West), there may be still life in it, and at any rate it is a legitimate form of Leftism even though I don't agree with its economic theories. Marxism, on the other hand, is illegitimate–it is seditious, treasonous by nature. It destroys everything it touches. It wrecks families, nations and religions in its onslaught. Marxism must not be tolerated. It must be criminalized.

How can anyone reconcile the fact that your commie boy still supports Israel to the tune of mega billions in taxpayers dollars annually, that is also used to kill innocent Palestinians , spy on the US with little recrimination, and basically allow to continue the illegal AIPAC lobby ie non-registered foreign agents on American soil? Shalom and peace. America first , everyone else take a number.

      • HelloBirdy

        There are no innocent Palestinians.

        • ziontruth

Actually there are. They're called Jews.

There are no innocent Arab/Islamic imperialists.

  • ObamaYoMoma

In the New York Times' write-up of Qaradawi's triumphant return to Egypt for instance, the murder-inciting cleric was referred to as a champion of democracy and pluralism.

I almost spilled my morning cup of coffee on my laptop when I read the above it was so hilarious. It’s also pretty sad at the same time.

With both the Soviets and the Arabs spewing the same inverted message, it didn't take long for it to become the rage in Europe. Europe's adoption of the Nazi-inspired propaganda in which reality was inverted and Israel – the victim of Arab imperialist, genocidal aggression – became the imperialist, genocidal aggressor was facilitated by France's embrace of the Arab camp after its withdrawal from Algeria and effective withdrawal from NATO.

It is a grave mistake for Israel supporters to present the conflict in terms of it being an Arab-Israeli Conflict or Palestinian-Israeli Conflict, because what it really is, is a genocidal jihad of conquest, and that genocidal jihad of conquest is permanent and will continued to be waged perpetually against Israel no matter what as long as Israel continues to exist and regardless of any and all fake peace processes used to weaken Israel and to dupe useful idiots. Just like the greater global jihad at large, of which the jihad being waged against Israel is a smaller component, is also permanent and will continue to be waged perpetually against all unbelievers no matter what as long as unbelievers continue to exist that haven’t been forced to submit to the authority of Islam.

Indeed, show me a Jew hating Israel basher and I’ll show you someone completely oblivious of Islam and the global jihad the Islamic world is waging against all unbelievers. Likewise, show me someone completely oblivious of Islam and the global jihad the Islamic world is waging against all unbelievers and I’ll show you a Jew hating Israel basher.

The two go hand in hand as the propaganda war against Israel, which in itself is a form of jihad, focuses people’s attention on the poor oppressed Palestinian people, at the same time it blinds them to the greater global jihad being waged by the Islamic world that not only targets Israel but also all unbelievers around the world. In fact, the intense propaganda war being waged against Israel relentlessly, which again is a form of jihad, is the biggest single factor today that is blinding people to the true nature of Islam and to the existence of the global jihad.

Hence, I recommend that Israel supporters stop speaking and writing in terms of Israelis and Arabs or Israelis and Palestinians and start speaking and writing in terms of the Islamic world’s genocidal jihad against Israel which is also a part of the greater global jihad at large that targets not only Israel but also all unbelievers around the world. Indeed, they should constantly hammer home this point relentlessly. Unless people wake up to the fact that the same jihad that targets Israel also targets them, they will always continue demanding Israel end the occupation.

Indeed, every time the word Palestinian is used, it should be in the context of the Palestinians, which are the proxies of the Islamic World’s permanent genocidal jihad against Israel. It should also be noted on a pretty regular basis that the so-called Palestinians were created out of whole cloth in Moscow in 1964 by the Soviet KGB complete with ready-made prepackaged inalienable national rights to self-determination as a disinformation campaign to dupe useful idiots by camouflaging the Islamic world’s genocidal jihad being waged against Israel under the cloak of nationalism. In fact, just like the Islamic world is attempting to delegitimize Israel, Israel should attempt to delegitimize the so-called Palestinians.

When it comes to the wars in 1948-49, 1967, and 1973, those wars should be presented in the correct context that they were actually jihads of conquest intended to conquer Israel and to massacre the Jews in yet another mass genocidal holocaust in order to revert the land that formerly comprised Israel back into the Dar al Islam via the imposition of Sharia.

In addition, anyone that bashes Israel and demonizes Jews should be marginalized as inciting hatred and violence against Israel to help facilitate another mass genocidal holocaust of Jews, which will be, in any event, the inevitable result.

Moreover, anytime anyone mentions the oppression of the poor Palestinian people, Israel supporters should mention the fact that unbelievers living in majority Muhammadan countries without exception are all systematically persecuted and often violently oppressed if not outright slaughtered.

When Israel bashers claim Israel violates international laws, the fact that Muhammadans don’t recognized or adhere to international laws or any other manmade laws should be hammered home. I could go on but you should get the point.

Good point. I have noticed the same thing.

    • Maggie

Wow. Thank you for speaking up. God bless you.

Why cant America just ignore the Middle East? Dont we have problems of our own? To hell with Israel and To hell with Palestine. Lets ignore other countries and stick to our own business.

    • aspacia

Try pulling your head out of the sand. Almost all U.S. manufacturing is overseas. Where will you purchase your next mechanical device if we do not have trade with other lands. Then there is textiles. Where do you think you clothes are made.

The big kicker is oil and the fact that drilling in the US is basically banned by the environmentalists. Want to stop driving?

We were isolationist and still were sucked into two World Wars. It just does not work.

  • alexander

Who can talk to American Jews to make them quit voting for Democrats?

  • ObamaYoMoma

We can’t ignore Israel because the same genocidal jihad that targets Israel also targets us. Hence, when we ignore Israel, we ignore it at our own peril. You sound like a Ron Paul anarcho-kook.

  • USMCSniper

President Obama’s recent treatment of Netanyahu, who represents Israel, if not openly anti-Semitic, is definitely contemptuous. He is a far cry shy from another Democratic President’s relationship to Israel. Jerusalem belongs to Israel, and has for over 3,000 years. As Netanyahu stated in speeches in the United States recently, “Jerusalem is our Capitol.” It does not belong to Palestinians. We need to look again at what President Truman said about keeping promises. Jerusalem, east and west, belong to Israel. Read Prophecy Dude’s 2010-03-22 blog Two Myths in the case for a Palestinian State.

    • ajnn

      1. Almost the 1st act of Obama was to diminish our traditional alliance with Great Britain.

      2. It 'feels like' his 2nd foreign policy initiative was to downgrade our fruitful and productive (for the US) alliance.

      3. Now we have the muslim brotherhood running unopposed to take over former american friendlies likie Egypt.

      Is there a pattern here?

      Obama is a problem.

  • Dan

I am against fundamentalism be it Islamic, Judaic or Christian. I am also against religious states. So I think that Israel has a problem, as well as the sharia run states. I fervently hope that the Muslim Brotherhood will not get in, and I think the army will not let it get in. Nor will the Egyptian army let Hamas grow. This article is alarmist in tone.

Israel is continuing to support and abet the settlers. The reason why I focus on the Palestinian question is not dealt with in this article. It is because the Palestinian issue is being used as a rallying cry for disparate causes, it is because the educated and largely secular Palestinians could be valuable US allies, and it is because too much of my tax payer money is going towards a conflict that is not being resolved because of the settlers continuing actions, and Israel's refusal to set borders. The Palestinian issue HAS to be resolved because the US is being drawn into a guagmire that it is not facing from any of the other regional states except Iraq. I should like some of my money that goes to Israel to go to the emerging North African states to promote secularism. I don't think that US style democracy will work, as someone wrote, it only allows the Islamists in.

    • ziontruth

"I am against fundamentalism be it Islamic, Judaic or Christian. I am also against religious states. So I think that Israel has a problem, as well as the sharia run states."

You are indicative of the superficiality of our age, which refuses to look deeper than the obvious similarities. I can't say anything much about your dislike of religion, but you must be corrected as to the basic difference between Islam and other religions. The difference is this: Islam, in addition to its religious doctrines, comes with a political program for the entire globe. Jews would never tell you to eat kosher food or institute their laws of statecraft outside Israel; Muslims, in contrast, mean for you to eat halal food and plan to make it the law in your place of residence, wherever that may be.

"Israel is continuing to support and abet the settlers."

By definition, Jews cannot be settlers in Palestine; that is because the Jews are the indigenous Palestinians. It is the Arabs who are the settlers in Palestine.

"The reason why I focus on the Palestinian question … is because the Palestinian issue is being used as a rallying cry for disparate causes…"

If this issue were absent, rest assured other rallying cries would be found. For example, the Muslims don't need the Palestine question to fuel their rage; a few mediocre cartoons is all that's required for that. Deal with the problem, and stop attempting to appease the Muslims on Israel's expense.

"… and it is because too much of my tax payer money is going…"

Very well, I agree that should be fixed. (It nearly is, by the way: U.S. monetary aid to Israel today is only 1.1% of Israel's GDP.) However, it should be clear that the cessation of U.S. aid to Israel must also mean Israel is free to do whatever it wishes, without deference to the White House. Is that clear? If you're an isolationist then you're an isolationist all the way.

The secularists have created their own fundamentalist states leaving no room for supernaturalism, while the religionist states have created their own fundamentalist state leaving no room for naturalism. The great Russian novelist,Dostoevsky, said it best: "Without God everything is permitted". Both fundamentalists have eschewd God.

Joel, with God anything is also permitted, because anyone can claim that God told them to do whatever! Heinous things are done by humans with or without God. Many people in secular states believe in supra natural things. The media in God-driven and secular states is influential and manipulative, and also allows crimes against humanity. A secular state that is democratic usually allows many different types of worship and gives full citizenship with it. I don't think that the current US is the best model.

The above whiny article also fails to mention that Ireland was also pro-Nazi, because it, like the colonized Arabs and Africans etc., was against British colonialism. The "my enemy is your enemy principle" does not necessarily make friendships. I think that the hierarchical and patriatchal thinking that is in most fundamentalist religions does have an affinity with fascism, though.

The genocidal jihad will continue to exist…….until IT is no more. The rest of us will go on a whole lot wiser. Some things just scream for its own destruction and it is no surprise when destruction comes.

  • HelloBirdy

Barrack Hussein Obama and his cadre are the single biggest enemy America has right now. You Americans had better get rid of him, his unions pals, his inner city army of Negro yoots who are preparing to be his own tonton macoup.

The concept of personal freedom is what is at stake here.

    • aspacia

Birdy is a bit of a birdbrain. Many liberal whites support Obama and Obama's Mom was white. Get a grip.

      • HelloBirdy

What are you talking about? This is not about race … I know what Obama is and I know what his mama is … this about his marxist agenda to take down traditional America … you twit. Smarten up your head is in your rectum.

        • aspacia

"Barrack Hussein Obama and his cadre are the single biggest enemy America has right now. You Americans had better get rid of him, his unions pals, his inner city army of Negro yoots who are preparing to be his own tonton macoup."

Then why did you use "Negro yoots?" You brought race into your claim birdy?

          • HelloBirdy

Because that is who is being organized in the inner cities … you may have seen the videos of the training and allegiances being stated by those 'yoots'. If there had been any white kids among them, I would have said so, but there wasn't . … So …. this is a statement of fact not of race. And it is clear that even though Obama is half white, he has claimed pretty much 100% black heritage.

He regularly has Motown entertainment in the white house or aren't you paying attention. His pal Eric Holder recently referred to blacks as "My People". I though American in general were the people of our holders of higher office … no pun intended.

My statement was mainly that Obama's policies were harming America, the Negro Yoots organization was an adjunct to what he is doing that my lead to more tyranny when the vote fails him. You, being the racists that you are, jumped right on that point and ignored the larger point which is that the Obama administration is an enemy of America … Period.

It was such an brilliant read, much gratitude with regard to posting this partner. I’ve taken a look at many different within this subject area and also this one in this article is certainly one of the better. Very well accomplished and I definitely am restless for the impendent write-up. Do you have a eta on any time it will be before making up the up coming article on the blog?
