President Obama told governors Monday that he endorsed the idea of states opting out of the Affordable Care Act as early as 2014 if they could offer similar coverage to as many people without inflating the deficit. In the president’s very public words, he would “go to bat for whatever works.”

The same day, the White House said something altogether different during an off-the-record conference call to allies on the Left. The flexibility stressed on the private conference call involved allowing single-payer plans and more purely government-run health care at the state level. A source who spilled the beans on the discussion to Politico observed: “They are trying to split the baby here: on one hand they tell supporters this is good for their pet issues, versus a message for the general public that the POTUS is responding to what he is hearing and that he is being sensible.”

What explains two very different messages on one day by the very same White House?

A recent “State of the States” Gallup poll sheds much to light on why the Obama administration’s media message would differ from its by-invitation only, off-the-record conference call. Gallup’s poll shows that the United States is a conservative country.

Even in the most liberal states—Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts—conservatives outnumber liberals. In every state, liberal identifiers trail conservative identifiers. The ratio is about 2-1 in Pennsylvania, 3-1 in Wyoming, and almost 4-1 in Mississippi, the state where the largest percentage—over 50 percent—of the population identify as conservatives. Certainly, regions of the country differ. The South tends to be more conservative and the northeast relatively more liberal. But in 50 of 50 states, more respondents identify as conservatives than as liberals.

That hostile political environment for liberals fosters interesting self-preservation techniques.

Keep on lie'n O, it dove tails nicely into our 2012 plans. What a fraud, charlitan, two faced lying non citizen : ) hehehehe thats right, I said it. Oh well, we dont have to prove he isnt a natural born citizen, cause he aint going to be prez for long anyway. I am not worried about the harm he is doing, because all that does is rip the mask off the left that has been nickel and diming us to death for the last 50+ years.

The name "liberal" has been used as a euphemism for "socialist," but classic liberalism is not socialist. President Obama and his gang are socialists, but not even democratic socialists.

I can't wait to watch the presidential debates for 2012 All that Obamas' apponent has to bring up is the 1000 or so instances of "Obama said this" verses what "Obama actually did" I'm going to really enjoy seeing that on national television – I'm buying the popcorn right now

A more correct way of looking at it is that the left in this country has an agenda, an agenda that they passionately believe in and work at constantly to achieve. The agenda is a revolutionary transformation of America into a Marxist/Socialist utopia. They are also aware that the vast majority of Americans violently oppose this agenda, hence they simply lie about what they are doing. They lie as naturally as they breathe. Deception is their way of life. There is nothing new about this, other than that the got one of their own elected president based on the lies. J. Edgar Hoover wrote about this in his book "Masters of Deceit", well worth reading.

The progressive agenda of the liberals and leftists is diametrically opposite the founding principles within the U.S. Constitution. Therefore, every attempt to destroy the Constitution is being made by unconstitutional laws and decisions rendered by progressive activist judges and democrat legislatures. The progressive agenda cannot work because it is based on false premises that always have failed, rather than on reality.

"We had to struggle with the old enemies of peace—business and financial monopoly, speculation, reckless banking, class antagonism, sectionalism, war profiteering.

They had begun to consider the Government of the United States as a mere appendage to their own affairs. We know now that Government by organized money is just as dangerous as Government by organized mob.

Never before in all our history have these forces been so united against one candidate as they stand today. They are unanimous in their hate for me—and I welcome their hatred.

I should like to have it said of my first Administration that in it the forces of selfishness and of lust for power met their match. I should like to have it said of my second Administration that in it these forces met their master."

The obvious weasel words are if the states can offer similar health care to citizens as Obamacare without inflating the deficit.

The same standard should be applied to Obamacare. But it's already been signed into law, so that will never happen.

President Obama's statement also avoids the very heart of the issue, which is that the government ought to stay out of health care altogether. We have Medicare and Medicaid, which we'll play hell getting rid of, but that's no reason to spend even more taxpayer money on more national health.

A now for a refreshing note.
Republican Bill Ketron from Tennesee is trying to pass a law to stop Sharia law.
    Stay tuned.
I guess the "Sharia4America" rally got cancelled scheduled in DC today.
The "Islamic Thinkers Society" which in itself is a oximoron, will have to pick another day.
Maybe they will pick our President's Birthday!

    • suzette

      Maybe April 1?

If we don't take Islamists seriously, it is we who are the April fools.

  • Maggie

    Sorry, spelling error. OXYmoron.

  • votedagainstoby

    OBAMACARE is an OXYmoron

The Obama health care system is nothing more than a "Dhimmi law."
The first step to Islamisize and to destablize the West from within.
The same thing happened in Europe or now "Eurabia."
Between the Freemason's display of "Muslim Prayer Day" on the Mall in DC which determined the secret future "destiny of America",
The next step to Islamisize is healthcare( which by the way, does not apply to Muslims.)
    Is America, Saudi America.

You think you’ve seen it all, and then you find something like this. This is truly something awesome, but it was extremely interesting and I’m glad I read it.
