Palestine, Lies and Videotape

Peace. We go to war in the name of peace. We maintain armies in the name of peace. And we turn a blind eye to murder and terrorism in the name of peace.

The promise of peace convinced Israelis and Americans to give Arafat a private army and control over an autonomous territory. And the fading promise of peace is why both governments still continue to appease the terrorists. All in the name of peace.

Over and over again, Israelis have sat at a table, shaken hands, drawn up maps, and walked away with bus bombings, attacks on malls and rocket fire at schools—and the cries of the left that they are to blame.

The left is in denial about what Palestine is; it is not a nationality, but a pretext for endless war. The “Palestinian” cause cannot be separated from the campaign for regional supremacy by Muslim states; it began as a way for Egypt and Syria to harass Israel, and it continues as a Saudi, Turkish and Iranian campaign to destroy Israel. The actors change, but the goal remains the same.

The UN can declare a Palestinian state, but it can’t reunify Gaza and the West Bank, or bring order to the feuding militia camps that pretend to be governments. The nations of the world can vote to recognize it, but they can’t make it self-supporting. Billions of dollars have already been wasted on the effort. And neither political support nor foreign aid will end the violence.

The justification for this is based around a myth that is at the heart of the left’s twisted version of history. The myth is that the Muslims never had a choice whether to engage in violence, terrorism or genocide. That they never initiate, only respond to what the Jews do. Whatever atrocities they commit, it is only because the Jews have done worse to them.

To sustain this myth, the left relies on two techniques. First, the regional context is stripped away and the Muslim-Israeli conflict is reduced to a conflict between Israel and West Bank and Gazan Arabs. Imagine a history of WW2 that only dealt with it as a conflict between Czechoslovakia and Sudeten Germans—that’s what the left has done by treating the pretexts for war as the causes of war.

Then once all the Muslim parties to the conflict have been hidden except for the militias in the West Bank and Gaza, the discrepancy in armaments is exaggerated to show that Israel has all the options, and the terrorists have none. To the left power is also agency, by focusing only on the differences in firepower and not the political options that both sides have, Israel is depicted as all-powerful, controlling not only Gaza and the West Bank—but even Washington D.C.

By ignoring Muslim colonialism and oppression of regional minorities—the left denies the context of the conflict and transforms the proxy armies of Sunni and Shiite regional majorities into the downtrodden and persecuted.

The left’s case for Palestine is built on these lies, funneled deceptively through networks of organizations that disguise them, dumb them down and present them as moral and ethical imperatives.

Same old story…follow the money. We can play too. STOP the money. Stop giving our money to these folks called "Palestinians" unless and until THEY recognize Israel and PROVE IT by ending all aggression toward her. NO MORE U.S. AID. I bet we'll convince some folks then that it may be worth their while to behave themselves. If not, we at least stopped wasting our money.

The only reason that you say there is no Palestine is so that you can say there are no Palestinians. But there are Palestinians, and the world can see what Israelis are doing to them. Israel has spent up all its moral credit from the Holocaust and turned right around and become the same disgusting thing that the Nazis were. Rightfully, the world holds Israel at an arms length and pinches its own nose closed.

      "But there are Palestinians,…"

Yes, they're the Jews. The ones the world calls "Palestinian" nowadays are actually Arab settler-colonists in Palestine, part of the Arab nation, and they are guilty of stealing land from the one and only true Palestinian nation, the Jewish nation.

"Israel has spent up all its moral credit from the Holocaust…"

Zionism is not about redressing past wrongs; the Jews deserve to exercise political sovereignty on Palestine because they are the indigenous Palestinians.

"…and become the same disgusting thing that the Nazis were."

Yeah, I'm sure the Warsaw Ghetto had shopping malls, hotels and an Olympic pool just like Gaza has. That's what a concentration camp looks like. /sarc

In truth, you're miffed that the Jews of today in Israel are not the unarmed Jews of WWII. Sucks to be you.

Right. Tell me again how the word "Jew" derives from the root word "Peleshet."

          • ziontruth

I'm using the word "Palestine" as a commonly-accepted translation of the Hebrew term "Eretz Yisrael" ("The Land of Israel").

The preface to the 1917 translation of the Tanakh to English by the Jewish Publication Society has this to say: "While Philo and his Alexandrian coreligionists looked upon the translation of the Seventy as a work of inspired men, the Palestinian Rabbis subsequently considered the day on which the Septuagint was completed as one of the most unfortunate in Israel's history, seeing that the Torah could never be adequately translated." (Emphasis mine.)

I assume they weren't referring to the people known back then as Arabs usually, and Syrians if wishing to go into detail. (Palestine was the southern part of [Greater] Syria until the British and the French split it between themselves after WWI. It meant nothing special to the Arabs back then, and everything to the Jews.)

          • http://www.contextflexed.com Flipside

Chaim Weizman and Arthur Balfour disagreed over whether all of Palestine should go to the Jews or whether "nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine."

What we witness today is the prejudicing of civil and religious rights of non-Jewish communities in Palestine. Jews in Palestine, who have renamed themselves Israelis hold fast to the right to enforce this prejudice. Non-Jews in Palestine, who now call themselves Palestinians reject this enforced prejudice.

"Eretz" Israel should be equated with Greater Serbia, The German Bread Basket of Russia, British India, or any other stupid colonial enterprise. Nobody is prepared to accept that Israel should own Jordan, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and half of Iran.

          • ziontruth

"What we witness today is the prejudicing of civil and religious rights of non-Jewish communities in Palestine."

What we witness today is the disputing of the universal national right of exclusive political sovereignty for every nation in its nation-state. Regarding the Jews and Israel, it takes the form of anti-Zionism. However, it is not limited to the Jews—the Marxist idea of multiculturalism, a monstrous attack of the universal right of every nation to enjoy exclusive political rights in its own nation-state, is being pushed and enforced on all free nations of the world, regardless of the will of the people.

The Greeks have a right to exclusive political sovereignty in Greece; the Dutch, the same right in the Netherlands; the Arabs, the same right in their states in the Arabian Peninsula; and the Jews, the same right in Palestine. The idea that multiple nations should live under the same political roof is a recipe for seething contempt at best (Belgium), and rivers of blood at worst (Lebanon, Rwanda, Yugoslavia, post-2003 Iraq). It needs to be thrown into the same trashcan as other failed ideas.

"'Eretz' Israel should be equated with Greater Serbia,…"

I'm flattered by that comparison. No greater wrong had Clinton committed than siding with the Muslim imperialists against the Serbs, who were resisting an imperialist onslaught on their soil.

            "Nobody is prepared to accept…"

            Speak for yourself, anti-Zionist scum!

"…that Israel should own Jordan, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and half of Iran."

Transjordan and Gaza are ours by right—they are part of Palestine. The rest aren't, so your statements are an anti-Zionist lie—like those old canards from the Arabs in the 1950s about "the map in the Knesset showing Israel's plan to conquer the entire Middle East."

Nonsense. Israel does not discriminate against any of its minorities, has no official state religion and guarantees the equal and civil rights of all of its citizens.

The territories are governed by the PA and Hamas where discrimination against non-muslims is the norm, and civil liberties and human rights are constantly oppressed by the ruling Islamofascist parties.

"I hope you all have enough Lebensraum to stop committing genocide."

What genocide? Israel's policies between 1967 and 1993 allowed the Palestinian population to grow dramatically as did the standard of living because of Israel's progressive, humanitarian policies. The Arab population in the Territories grew 2.5 times between 1967 and 1995, from 954,898 to 2,534,604. Israel brought economic prosperity to Palestinians. Israeli investment in business, industry and infrastructure and the opening of its borders to labor made the Territories the fourth fastest-growing economy in the world in the 1970's and unemployment dropped from an average of 40% or more to below 5%.

During the Oslo Accords in 1993, Israel turned more and more of the Territories over to Palestinian control. Between 1996 and 1999, the Palestinian Authority gradually came to govern 99% of the Palestinian people and the Territories' main urban centers. From 1993 on the Palestinian population continued to grow exponentially (over 84% from 1993-2004 alone). This would never have happened had Israel's goal been genocide.

        • ziontruth

          "…because I have seen them."

What you have seen are Arab settler-colonist land-thieves who try (and often succeed) justifying their imperialistic plan of stealing Jewish land (all of Palestine) to the world by wrapping it in the fictitious mantle of the struggle of the "indigenous Palestinians" (which they describe themselves as, but only the Jews truly are) against the Zionist "settler colonists" (which is by definition impossible, because the Jews, being the indigenous Palestinians, cannot be colonizers of what is their indigenous territory).

"If I were to go around saying there are no 'Jews'…"

You're not saying there are no Jews, and I'm not saying there are no Arabs. But you are denying the Jews' being the indigenous Palestinians, and my denial of the Arab "Palestinian" fraud is just a corrective to that, bringing things back to the truth.

The Jews have had nearly 3000 years of proving their connection to this land. The local Arab squatters, in contrast, only "found out" they were the "Palestinian nation" after 1948. You don't give a new recruit a general's medals, and you don't give the land of a real and ancient nation to a contrived "nation" cooked up from scratch less than 70 years ago.

The names of "Palestine" and "Palestinian" have been hijacked, courtesy of the Soviet Union and Gamel Abdel Nasser, ruler of Egypt, in Cairo, 1964, when they founded the "Palestine Liberation Organization, " with all the phony history and propaganda to go along with it, e.g. that there are Arabs who are "Palestinians."
The name of Judea was changed by the Roman Emperor Hadrian in 135 A.D. to "Palestina" after he had defeated the last Jewish uprising under Bar Kochba. Hadrian wanted to eradicate all memory of Judea and the Jews, and he outlawed Judaism (he also changed the name of Jerusalem to "Aelia Capitolina," "Aelius" being his gens name). Since that time, "Palestine" was synonymous with "land of the Jews," and "Palestinian" synonymous with "Jew." That is why Great Britain was awarded the "Palestine Mandate" after World War I to be the "homeland of the Jews."
So the only "Palestinians" are the Jews. Those Flipside calls "Palestinians" are Arabs who are Mohammedans who hate Jews. And the Israelis have not mistreated either its Arab citizens or other Arabs; it is the Arabs that wage war against Israel.

      • http://www.contextflexed.com Flipside

Nonsense. I might as well say there are no "Israelis." Israelis are just Ashkenazis, Poles, Russians, Germans, Americans. The "Real Jews" were destroyed by Ancient Rome. Americans might as well invade Serbia and claim to be the indigenous Caucasians. The name "Israel" is just as hijacked, because it has alternately meant this country in the Levant, or any diaspora French, English, Russian, or New Yorker with a yarmulke. It's stupid to deny people the right to self-determination. Arabs are related to Jews, you are all semites, and some or al of you have been wandering around the Middle East for centuries, and you should learn how to share.

"It's stupid to deny people the right to self-determination."

Nations have a right to self-determination. The Arab settler-colonist land-thieves in Palestine are not a nation but part of a nation, one that already has more self-determination than it could ever possibly need.

"Arabs are related to Jews, you are all semites, … and you should learn how to share."

So tell the Arabs, possessors of a huge mass of land well beyond their indigenous territory, the Arabian Peninsula, to stop being stingy toward the Jews about a tiny piece of land on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean. We Jews are not the land-rich misers here.

"They are petitioning for UN recognition and Israel is doing everything it can to stop it."

The UDI is an attempt for the Palestinians to side-step negotiations and declare a state without having to recognize Israel. It's illegal under international law and Israel has every right to stop a belligerent group of terrorists from forming a state without agreeing to Peace with her neighbors first.

Of course, each time the Palestinians reject any Israeli offers for self-determination.

"Arabs are related to Jews, you are all semites, and some or al of you have been wandering around the Middle East for centuries, and you should learn how to share."

No I do not. I have said until I am blue in the face that Israel has a right to exist. They don’t have the right to broker the existence of other countries. Israel’s numerous offers of statehood for Palestine amount to offers if being let live in prison in exchange for fellatio. The main difference is that the world SEES the open air prison and deduces for itself that Israel is slime. And it knows they lie about genocide, because for what it’s worth, the IDF’s own deserters attest to it. Israel lied about Dimona and got called out on that too.

Actually, so-called Palestinians themselves readily admit there is no such thing as Palestine or a "Palestinian." As Palestine Liberation Organization executive committee member Zahir Muhsein admitted in 1977:

"The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism."

And in 2009, three Israeli Shas schools had their state funding revoked for refusing to admit Beta Israel students. There is also mutual racist distrust between Israli Arabs and Israeli Jews.

I don't think the narrative of Israel as a Western colony is quite smashed yet. Nor is the narrative of Israeli plurality.

"Actually, Mizrahim, statistically are socioeconomic second class citizens to Ashkenazim."

You need updated statistics. Films from the 1960s like Salah Shabbati don't count.

"And that's half of the country, and they are just getting over de facto segregation."

No thanks to race-baiters like you.

"There is also mutual racist distrust between Israli Arabs and Israeli Jews."

A totally separate issue. This rift isn't sectarian strife but natural (and deserved) mistrust between the Jewish nation and members of an enemy nation residing in the Jews' country.

"I don't think the narrative of Israel as a Western colony is quite smashed yet."

If that is so, it is only because the anti-Zionist liars who hold that narrative are in control of most of the media outlets and education centers in the free world.

But the lie cannot stand. Israel is not a colony but the nation-state of an indigenous nation, as much as Greece is for the Hellenes. And the colonists today, just about everywhere, in Europe as well as in Palestine, are the Arab imperialists a.k.a. Muslims. To side with them is to side with colonialist injustice and imperialist oppression.

As much as South Africa was for the Boers. As much as Austria was for the Prussians. The problem with the "Israel as self-sufficient autochthonous nation" is its massive diaspora around the world, its occupation of foreign territory, its lack of unanimous recognition in the UN (even though the PLO recognized it), its position as a nuclear rogue state, its basis as a geographical territory for people who identify as a religion, and it's behavior as the 51st State of the US throw all of that into question.

"Today, most Israelis are Polish, German, or Russian."

Um, no, not in this year 2011 they ain't no more. As Pathena said, the majority of Israeli Jews today are descended from those who came from the Islamic world. Brown people.

And if he can get that wrong, seeing Israel now as it was more than 40 years ago, one wonders what else he got wrong… Pretty much everything, I'd wager.

      • http://www.contextflexed.com Flipside

Where are all these brown people among your government and among your wealthy? Among your top military? Among your top real estate brokers?

        • ziontruth

You won't see them on the channels of your MSM, which is as racist as you are. I see them on Israeli TV all the time. All the time.

But I suspect even if you saw them you'd deny what you had seen. As I said: You see exactly what you want to see.

Finally, I don't see how pushing for racial quotas makes your general anti-Israel argument. So far, all it does it show you, and by extension all other race-baiters (like Al Sharpton and Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's mentor for 20 years) for the sick racists they—and not their opponents such as the Tea Party—are.

Al Sharpton and Jeremiah Wright are merely the black Abe Foxman and Rabbi Yosef Elitzur.

It is a matter of record that Palestinians strap munitions on their own women and children and send them out on homicide-suicide missions to murder other innocent women and children in markets, restuarants, on school buses, and in their homes. The Palestinians in their own words and by their actions are committed to the genocide of the Jewish people therefore, have foreited their rights to even exist at all let alone having a UN and US sanctioned terrorist state of their own.

In order to maintain the appearance of negotiating, we need to state positions on the central issues. There are two tactics with regard to this. One is to offer concessions that are limited enough–either territorially or functionally–to do little harm in the event that they ever need to actually be paid. This is a fool's game because the amount we can profitably concede in the face of continuing hostility is so limited as to not even constitute the appearance of negotiating. The second tactic is to condition any concessions on corresponding Arab concessions that they are unlikely ever to pay. At the moment, requiring cessation of claims on the part of the Arabs is a sufficiently high bar, though not without risk.

There is a point at which the price of participating in these sham negotiations becomes higher than the price of not participating in them.

The leftists whose persona won't allow intelligence about this issue are usually the same ones who get *very* emotional about the big picture at opportunistic intervals. Apparently you have to be insensitive to context to notice that 270 million people were murdered by Islamic Supremacists, and 120 million people murdered by Communist dictators.

The expected American Security Council veto will prevent Palestine from becoming a full UN “Member State.” But the General Assembly by itself has both the authority and ample votes to grant Palestine recognition as a UN “Observer State.” That status gives access to international criminal courts. Palestine will be able to petition against Israel for war crimes, crimes against humanity, illegal occupation and a variety of other transgressions. Named Israelis traveling abroad will be subject to arrest, trial and detention.

"[The Arab Settler State] will be able to petition against Israel for war crimes, crimes against humanity, illegal occupation and a variety of other transgressions. Named Israelis traveling abroad will be subject to arrest, trial and detention."

When the Sanhedrin is renewed (soon amen), named anti-Zionists will be able to be brought to stand trial before its judges for war crimes, crimes against humanity, calls for ethnic cleansing [of the Land of Israel from its Jews] and a variety of other transgressions. And there will be no higher court for them to appeal to, for the Sanhedrin will rule according to the highest legal authority in existence: The Torah, God's Law.

    • heymanj

One thing you seem to forget – the PLO was already *granted* observer status in 1975. http://www.palestinefacts.org/pf_1967to1991_plo_u
The Palestinian Authority *is* the PLO, only dressed up nicer.

Arafat and his barbaric PLO were REWARDED for their mass murders and atrocities of Christians in Lebanon. Arafat and the PLO terrorists were introduced to Israel as "peace" partners and provided with mega dollars, land and arms in Israel. Arafat and the PLO terrorists did EXACTLY as was expected of them: waged ruthless jihad on Israel's Jews and severely persecuted Israel's Christians in Judea and Samaria.

They call Islam's war on Jews and Christians in Israel, the peace process.

No. I'll thank John Magaw who headed the ATF, then FEMA, then the TSA as the mafia reorganized itself over the last 15 years. And I'll thank Janet Napolitano, Abe Foxman and Morris Dees for making this all seem like domestic militias and then Islamic terrorists and then white middle class Americans.
