Obama’s Amnesty Monologue

Pages: 1 2

President Obama lost his cool last week after a Dallas-based reporter corrected his misstatement that he only lost by “a few percentage points in Texas” when the correct number was ten.  While we can poke fun at Obama’s fuzzy political math, when his administration tells such glaring Texas sized lies about border security, the lives of our fellow citizens and our national security are jeopardized.

This occurred last month when Janet Napolitano told a group of border mayors in El Paso that, “There is a perception that the border is worse now than it ever has been. That is wrong. The border is better now than it ever has been.”  This is despite a Government Accountability Office report that found that 85% of the border is not “fully sealed” and 56% is not under “operational control” of DHS.

President Obama recently met to meet with a number of self-proclaimed “stakeholders” in immigration policy where he repeated the false claim that the “Obama Administration has dedicated unprecedented resources to secure the border.”   Obama makes these claims about increased border security to try to make amnesty more palatable for the American people.

The stated purpose of Obama’s meeting was to foster “a constructive national conversation on this important issue as we work to build a bipartisan consensus in Congress.”

A close examination of who was invited to the Whitehouse and who was not reveals just how out of touch Obama is with the American people on the issue of immigration.

By Obama’s own estimation, Arizona’s SB 1070 has become the focal point of the immigration debate in the nation.  If he wanted a real conversation, he should have invited Governor Jan Brewer, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, or State Senate President and SB 1070 author Russell Pearce.

Governor Brewer responded to her non-invitation on Fox News, “You would have thought one of the [border state] governors would have been invited, since we are on the front lines fighting for security there…If we could sit down and discuss these things, we could get the solutions, maybe we could get something implemented.”

The reason why Governor Brewer was not invited is that Obama does not want a “conversation on this important issue,” he wants a monologue. Every single one of the 19 people Obama invited supports amnesty.

As to be expected, Obama invited a number of radical left wing activists like Al Sharpton and John Podesta of the George Soros funded Center for American Progress.  He solicited the input of several police chiefs, mayors, and city council leaders from the cities of Philadelphia, San Antonio, Los Angeles, and New York.  Every single one of these localities is a Sanctuary City where law enforcement refuses to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

Also attending were union and business lobbyists, including AFL CIO president Richard Trumka, former pro-amnesty Senator turned corporate lobbyist Mel Martinez, and the CEO of the agribusiness conglomerate Cargill.  Finally, he invited pro amnesty religious leaders from the National Association of Evangelicals and the Mormon Church.

Obama has lost credibility on all fronts. Where he should lose most credibility is amongst the Mexican citizens living on the Mexican side of the border. The drug gangs are using them for target practice. They are committing genocide which they could not do if America put up a wall and kept the drug peddlers out. With out easy access to America's drug head dollars they would not assemble in northern Mexico and murder innocent people. Obama is an enabler of the murderers for not protecting America. When he is voted out of office America should have a "Good Riddance Day"

    Exactly right Jim.
Obama (like Clinton) just can't grasp the idea that some words have actual universal meaning that a child understands. Clinton didn't understand the definition of sex, and Obama doesn't understand the definition of law. We can't survive 4 more years of Obama "leadership". How could anyone believe this egomaniac could give a rats behind about Americans when he doesn't do a damn thing to help his own family. If you had his resources would you let your family live in dirt floored huts while you parade around like King Tut? 2012 is the time to put this loser on the book tour.

Here in Austin Texas the hippies have a slogan that shows the degredation of our society, its "keep Austin wierd". So wierder is better? Its fun to be wierd as long as it doesnt have real/wierd consequences. Beyond flooding the nation with cheap labor, crime, over crowded schools, and just the illegality of it, I cant order a burger and fries any more without a lot of hand signals and acting out my order only to get home and find out I got something totally different. Its time our youth went back to work at McDonald's again to learn how to work and the illegals can go back home and teach their people how to be wierd.

Furthermore Davarino – if we stopped providing student “loans” etc. it would 1) save the taxpayers a load of money, 2) force American students to pay for their “education” themselves, and 3) keep the money in the USA (instead of having it wired to every part of the 3rd world. AND maybe, just maybe American’s youth might start demanding real courses with real contents and therefore actually get an education instead of an indoctrination, and maybe they would even study and learn something useful. They could pick up a work-ethic along the way while also being too busy and too broke to spend their time and money on drugs and booze.

This would be a win-win situation for all of america..

I can't figure out the big picture here… why would John Sweeney be faxing Mahmoud Abbas? Who is running this White House? http://wwwtwosetsofbooks.blogspot.com/2011/04/exc

    @ Jim
Decriminalize drugs and this war ends NOW. Decriminilization would ONLY affect the drug lords since we already know that drugs are widely available EVERYWHERE…schools, prisons, and on just about any inner city street corner. Which speaks to the ineffectiveness of the "War on Drugs", which is really just another excuse for the police state to expand. If you want to take drugs-go ahead. I couldn't care less. It's your life and your body. If drugs contribute to a person committing violent crimes, well, we already prosecute them. So what is the point of building walls in order to stop the drug trade which will NOT even be effected by said walls? If the USA bans cupcakes, then the price of cupcakes will skyrocket and they will be transported through tunnels under the walls. It is time for folks to unscrew their heaeds from their hindquarters and begin to understand that we cannot legislate or criminalize this problem away.
In reference to the mass invasion taking place south of the border: place guards every 2 miles and shoot to kill anyone who dares to cross our border illegally. Problem solved.

War on DRUGS ? What a joke , it had been lost along time ago .For all the millions spent ,and lives lost and endangered , legalizing them would accomplish a host of benefits .It would cut the drug cartels off at the kneees , it would do the same to the street gangs , for THAT is their source of revenue , it would decrease the trouble on the border, for drugs are an integral part of ilegal immigratiuon from Mexico ..The amounts of money involved are so huge , it corrupts all that it touches , on both sides of the border .A mere fraction of the money saved would go to rehab of those addicted here .Countless lives would be saved , here and in the countries heavily involved in the drug trade . The Federal Beuracracies involved in this so called "war on drugs " seek only to perpetuate themselves , while accomplishing little . Taxing legalized drugs would create revenue and still be cheaper than their price on the streets , people would no longer be killed in street wars , and no one would be stealing from and killing the citizenry to get money for drugs
    You;re DEAD ON RIGHT , @ JIM .

And don't forget , Al Queda is also financed by drug money Prohibition dod not stop anyone drinking , it just created mobs and got people killed , and was an utter waste of time , money and lives .

Illegal Immigration ? Another quite simpler solution , which woud produce a side benefit – JOBS .
A $50,000 fine per illegal employed by ANY COMPANY OR PERSON who hires them .Now most big companies get around the issue by hiring sub contracters who inturn hire illegals .The ONLY language big buisiness understands is MONEY . they inurn would be held responsible to a degree in hiring sub-contractors who employ illegals .
But als , all of our politicians ON BOTH SIDE OF THE AISLE , have not the cahones to pass such laws , indeed nor to even enforce existing laws …why ? lol…votes of course ! Bush , McCain were the biggest defenders of villegals , Obama;s no exception . Jailtime and Fines , folks , that's the only majic bullet ,and it WILL work .

..And YEA , TROOPS ON THE BORDER , that's one of the reasons we have standing armies aint it ? To PROTECT OUR BORDERS ? Withdrawals of troops from Iraq and Afghanistan would easily provide the manpower and keep those men employed . We had better m,ake a decision fast because the border situation is approaching critical mass rapidly .We are already seeing people OTHER THAN MEXICANS seeking work , illegally entering this country .

BO has made his political move. BO and his useful idiots know that the key to winning this coming Presidential Election is to get more votes. What better way then to get 12 million + votes from the illegals that were just given amnesty??? Why was Richard Trumpka there at the meeting? The unions are waiting like sharks to get these newly granted citizens into the union for their dues! (Nothing like extortion) Once again, this POTUS and this administration have shown complete disregard for the safety of the citizen of the United States all for political gain and the Sorros plan for a New World Order. Maybe this election Americans will vote for the President on the basis of his policies not, his skin color!

2 years ago, one sounded like a kook to say that Obama is actually a socialist. Now the elite media is trying to sell us the fact that socialism isn't all that bad.
I fear that we are a doomed empire. There are far too many apathetic voters and worse…there are too many citizens that actually think that the government owes them something and can actually work in some sort of utopian way. We are a blip on the timeline of history.
