Faces of Terror

Still another prisoner freed this week is Awana Jawad Mona. Posing as an American love interest, Mona seduced sixteen-year-old Israeli teenager Ofir Rahum via an online chat room and then drove him to Ramallah, where he was gunned down execution style by Palestinian terrorists. After her arrest, Mona revealed that she had been inspired to kill Israelis after witnessing the lynching of two Israeli soldiers in 2000, a scene that “excited” her. Of her role in luring Rahum to his death, Mona boasted, “I am proud of what I have done.” Mona’s release this week is a reminder that, unlike Shalit, some young Israelis never will return home.

Ahlam Tamimi is another freed prisoner who remains proud to have contributed to the killing of Israelis. In prison for planning the 2001 attack on Sbarro’s pizzeria in Jerusalem, in which 15 Israelis were killed and 107 wounded, Tamimi personally drove the suicide bomber to the restaurant. She has since said that she would do it again if given the chance. The parents of Malka Roth, one of the victims of the Sbarro bombing, tried to prevent Tamimi from being released. Instead they must watch as the woman who conspired to kill their daughter, and who now vows to kill others, walks free.

Tamimi is joined by Yehya Sinwar, a co-founder of an early security wing of Hamas, who marked his release this week by pledging “to work hard to free all prisoners, especially those who serve high sentences, whatever the price was.” Sinwar is the founder of Hamas’s early security service, which was notorious for hunting down and killing Palestinians suspected of collaborating with Israel. Sinwar’s brother, Mohammed Sinwar, is believed to have helped plan the 2006 raid in which Shalit was captured.

Countless other faces of terror will walk free. Al-Hadi Ghanim killed 16 people in 1989 when he grabbed the steering wheel of a Jerusalem-bound bus and drove it into a ravine. In 1992, Gaza resident Fuad Abu al-Amrin stabbed to death 15-year-old Helena Rapp with a kitchen knife as she walked to school. Both will be released. The list goes on.

Israel’s history is replete with agonizing agreements, but this week’s disproportionate exchange is particularly perilous. Given the express promises of the released prisoners to return to anti-Israel violence, the worry that Israel will be inviting more terrorism by sanctioning their release is all too credible. That some of those released will be exiled abroad does little to mitigate this threat, especially since Hamas has already reneged on this part of the agreement.

The safe return of an Israeli soldier is of course wonderful news, for Shalit and his family, but also for a country committed by law and custom to secure the freedom of its citizens and never to leave a soldier behind. If Israelis have not welcomed this week’s exchange with unmixed joy, it is because they know that rewarding Shalit’s captors by releasing their terrorist allies from prison is a dangerous strategy, one that guarantees he will not be the last Israeli captured.

As has been discussed before at length, the re-intorduction of the death penalty in Israel is fast becoming a necessity. Israel as democratic and anti death penalty state must not be deterred from the introduction of capital punishment for specific crimes committed by our enemies.such as Tamimi,Yehya Sinwar and all the other despicable murderers of their ilk. The Capital punishment introduction would discourage many of these butchers to attempt these crimes but also knowing that they will be dispatched to paradise as per their belief, would be doing tem a special service and ridding the earth of their kind once and for all.

Just don't bother with capture part of the capture of kill policy.

Make the terrorists pay a far too heavy price for terrorism.

Well they want to die for islam, so let's help them along that glorious path, right straight to HELL.

just goes to show you what low-life vile animals the arabs are…Ben Shapiro had it right – get Shalit back – hand over the arab rats – then warn them that the bombs are coming too…

Hmmm…..looks like the Best and the Brightest of Palestine to me.

The photo of every single one of the released Barbaric Muslim Terrorists who were released should be shown throughout the world. Their photos should be posted at all airports, railway stations, bus stations, movie theaters, supermarkets, post offices, parks, etc. People have THE RIGHT TO KNOW who these monsters are so that they can be on their guard against these violent, hate-filled terrorist killers.

In Judea and Samaria, Muslims are chanting: "The people want a new Shalit"

There is a radical difference between Muslim and non-Muslim culture and beliefs. Non-Muslims believe all murders are evil and when murderers are released, people are angry and disgusted.

But in the Palestinian Authority, savage murderers of infidel Jews are regarded as huge HEROES by PA Muslims. Sports teams, streets, schools, city squares are dedicated to, and named after barbaric killers of Jewish innocents. Muslims are filled with joy over the release of cruel killers-they are celebrating and setting off fireworks.

Non-Muslims regard murder as EVIL and the wicked breaking of G-D's Law. It is revolting and inhuman that these Muslims regard murder as EXTREMELY GOOD. The "peace" they are planning is a Second Holocaust of Jews. And the immoral Quartet want them to achieve their goal with a Muslim terror state implant in little Israel.

Britain's Cameron: "I hope this prisoner exchange will bring peace a step closer,"
UN Secretary General: "Ban Ki-moon sees peace process boost from prisoner swap deal."

For Cameron and Ban Ki-moon, peace is achieved by increasing violent jihad against Jews in the releasing of over a thousand inhuman Muslim monster killers with blood on their hands.

Gilad shouldn't have been freed in this manner….if the Mossad behaved like they were supposed to have behaved….he'd have been rescued a long time ago and his captors been executed.

  • WilliamJamesWard

It creates and interlude where people can aptly speculate as to what is really
going on. It may be that Bibi wanted Gilad back and before doing what
Israel has been forced into a corner to come to do, flatten the west bank and
gaza, move Israel's borders out to the original promised land and not by the
League of Nations but as defined by the Almighty Himself…………..William

IMO it's a certainty that these darlings have implants that will allow Israel to track them.

    • Vermont Yid

And if they do have implants, then what? Do you think if they do have implants that they don't know it? Do you think that they can't be removed?

      You're an idiot.

  • Vermont Yid

Never before in my life have I been so ashamed of Israel.

The insanity/stupidity of trading 1,027 murderers and terrorists for one Israeli soldier will cost Israel dearly. The blood of those Jews who will be killed by those who are released will be on the hands of Netanyahu and all others in the Israeli government who were in on the decision. That 80% of Israelis were in favor of the trade does not speak well of the common sense of the average Israeli.

The safety of Israeli citizens who travel beyond Israel's borders is now, at best, perilous. At worst, it's a moot point. The message Israel has sent is: Kidnap Israelis and you will receive 1,000 times the number of your murderous brethren who are in Israeli prisons.

Kahane was right. You are wrong. And now you are going to reap the rewards of your insipid decision. May G-d help you.
