ACORN: Puppet Master of Occupy Wall Street

Pages: 1 2

The Working Families Party, an infamous ACORN front group notorious for corruption, was instrumental in organizing the Occupy Wall Street protests, according to radical journalist Laura Flanders of Free Speech TV.

The protests, which have spread to several other large U.S. cities, are part of what ACORN’s neo-communist founder Wade Rathke calls an “anti-banking jihad.”

Working Families Party (WFP) organizer Nelini Stamp has “been here since day one and she is part of the organizing team and the outreach team that has managed to bridge the distance between that first day and this day and between the grassroots folks here and the labor movement,” Flanders said at the protest in lower Manhattan.

We are “actually trying to change the capitalist system we have today because it’s not working for any of us,” Stamp told Flanders in an interview. Demonstrators are asking “how do we really reform and bring revolutionary changes to the states?”

The WFP is part and parcel of ACORN. In 1998 the party was officially recognized in New York State. WFP’s headquarters is at the same address as ACORN on Nevins Street in Brooklyn. WFP’s executive director is longtime ACORN operative Dan Cantor.

One of the SEIU-funded party’s co-founders is ACORN’s former national chief organizer, Bertha Lewis. Democratic National Committee executive director Patrick Gaspard also contributed to the creation of the party and sat on its board. Gaspard was a political director in the Obama White House and is a former SEIU executive. Gaspard was also an organizer for the radical New Party in the early 1990s. That party’s membership consisted largely of individuals from the Democratic Socialists of America, SEIU, and ACORN. The party endorsed Barack Obama when he ran for the Illinois State Senate.

WFP takes credit for raising taxes both in the city and state of New York and for pressuring the state’s congressional delegation to oppose Social Security reforms. The party has sister WFP-branded parties in Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Oregon, South Carolina, and Vermont.

Working with its radical friends at SEIU, WFP advocates more government spending, higher taxes, universal government-run health care, campaign finance restrictions, free universal higher education, oppressive rent control, same-sex marriage, amnesty for illegal aliens, “greening” the economy by creating heavily subsidized union jobs in the energy sector, and mandatory paid sick leave for all workers.

In 2009 Connecticut WFP sent busloads of thugs to confront American International Group Inc. (AIG) executives at their homes. The protests were calculated to intimidate executives who had been receiving death threats after the company reportedly paid out bonuses using taxpayer bail-out funds.

ACORN allies are also involved in protests aimed at destabilizing the nation’s financial system.

If ACORN is "…aimed at destabilizing the nation’s financial system," they could use a few lessons from Wall Street. LOL.

Why is the TEA Party not confronting Wall Street and leaving it up to ACORN? Because Wall Street funds the Tea Party.

    • mrbean

Debating rat-brained Libtards like you is like trying to clean up a pile of dog feces with a weedeater. You will just get smeared with their filth. Debate is the wrong tool for the job. Libtards are worthy of nothing but scorn and ridicule. So…. you are so stupid that you don't even suspect you are stupid.

    • tagalog

The principal destabilizing of the nation's financial system has come from the federal government, from its earliest sources to the present, and continuing. Those who run the markets are just standing pat, waiting for the government to stop circling the field and come down for a landing.

    • Fred Dawes

The way things are goin we will see blood soon

  • davarino

crackpipe thinks the Tea Party is funded by Wall Street. Wrong, the administration and the left are funded by Wall Street and you/protestors are useful idiots. They are using you/protestors to distract from Obama's terrible record and ongoing fiascos in order to win another four years. Once re-elected nothing is going to happen to Wall Street, nothing will change but you will get your workers paradise. Ah, the workers paradise, I'm sure you will love it just as much as the Russians loved it during the reign of the Soviet Union. That worked out so well, ask any Russian.

    • derekcrane

You are correct davarino. Obama received nearly $15 million from Wall Street in the 2008 election cycle. See:

      • crackerjack

If Obama and the Left are funded by Wall Street, why isn't the Tea Party protesting against Wall Street?

The Tea Party marches against the administration, against the senate, against congress, even against the GOP, but suddenly back down when it comes to Wall Street. The Tea Party guards Wall Street and Wall Street supports the Tea Party.

        • Rifleman

Because the root of the problem is the government, not Wall St. Like davarino and derik said, The dp gets a lot more money from Wall St. than the GOP. Tea partiers support the market, investment, and wealth creation, and the left wants to milk, bleed, and corrupt Wall St. until it's dead.

  • maturin20

Good Americans, all of them. Soon you'll be calling ACORN an OAK. An Organization of American Kickassery.

    • astra

No, ACORN and OWS will outlive it's usefulness to B.O. when the time comes.
Then we'll all be kept "equal"
      …by hatchet, axe and saw.

  • tanstaafl

Street theater as a distraction for the sins of Obama…..

  • StephenD

If you have a grievance you ought to have a means of redress. If the system is not working you have a right to change it. The problem then becomes, change it to what? What, specifically, is your grievance? Most of those "protesting" are being played and don't even know it. They're Helter Skelter approach only feeds the true purpose of the powers behind these mobs which is to create Anarchy. It is like watching a stage play written by Machiavelli. The fools destroy the existing system and all hell breaks loose. People begin to go hungry and martial law is declared until…along comes the great benefactor. “The One” who will bring peace and order. The only problem is you are now to be his subjects rather than citizens. I contend these babbling idiots are prime for the slaughter and ripe for a Tyrant. Should this thing play out, the final act won’t be good.

    • Jim_C

?? This is essentially the TEA party looking at the other side of the equation. If you ever read what liberals said about the TEA partiers you'd see they said exactly the same thing as you guys are saying, here.

Yeah, it's disorganized and has a bunch of weirdos. So did the TEA party.

You may be the one getting played. The people of this country have taken to the streets, once in the form of a "taxed-enough-already" protest, now in the form of "big business has corrupted the democratic process" protest. Each side is missing a key ingredient and looking for scapegoats.

Bottom line, basically put, people are wondering why Wall Street gets bailouts after turning people's savings into casino chips while people who play by the rules don't. That's simplistic, because I personally don't blame Wall Street for doing their jobs–but it points to the collusion with government that has usurped power, grown government AND grown the income gap.

Seriously: if both sides figured out what they had in common, we'd have something like a revolution, here.

      • StephenD

Then instead of Wall Street they should be at the White House.

      • Ted

Though I mostly agree with your sentiments, where I disagree is I believe the TEA party was an honest grassroots protest from everyday people and citizens that were quite literally fed up with the corruption in our government and the lie that we can solve it all by just giving the government more of our money, while this group is not.
The liberal left and the lamestream media claimed the tea party protests were manufactored when they were not, and then they try to claim that the occupy wall street was spontaneous when it was not, it was in fact mostly manufactored by the groups like acorn and seiu etc. in fact some breaking news is that some protesters are actually getting paid.
It is hard to deny how obvious this is in support of obama's disgusting class warfare and redistributative propaganda.

Just a thought, are all these people unemployed? Why aren't they at work? With the economy and job status as it is, shouldn't they value their employment and paycheck?

  • Lou

Your reasoning Crackerjack that the Tea Party is funded by Wall Street is about as fubared as a football bat. Tea Party fundamentals are centered around less government and LESS special interest groups or institutions(read: Wall Street crooks and mega-banks) and is NOT affiliated with the Republican party, period. The only reason Tea Party folks are not concerning themselves with the foolishness of ACORN is because ACORN is nothing more than a bunch of communist/socialist extremists behind the curtains of a known shady, corrupt leftist organization who is well known and responsible for several criminal acts of voter fraud and corruption… So spare us the red herring. Let ACORN’s puppets make bigger fools of themselves or end up in jail. Meanwhile, the Tea Party will address this issue properly when Ron Paul takes the 2012 election in a surprise win, then the REAL CHANGE of fixing this country back to the principles our Founding Fathers intended can begin.

What do the filthy, dirty, violent, mooching leftist losers of the anti-American, business hating, Occupy Wall Street movement want? One poster slogan says it all, "THE BANKS GOT BAILED OUT WE GOT LEFT OUT!." In other words, these bankrupt human beings want to be bailed out like the banks, not by the government which is broke, but by the financial institutions and corporations which busted the government when billions were given them. These empty, miserable, envious souls are greedy for corporate wealth; for that $2 trillion dollars in sidelined cash that corporate America is sitting on unspent because of regulatory uncertainty.

    continued below.

  • ApolloSpeaks

In other words, they want what isn't theirs, want what they haven't earned, want what they're not entitled to. In short, they "want the world and and it now!" as acid freak Jim Morrison sang in the 60s. This is the last hurrah of Woodstock Nation; the terminal convulsions of 1960s counterculture radicalism; its last collective fling before it burns out and dies. It is the hard left's last shot at transforming the American Dream into an egalitarian communist nightmare-the revolution that never came, Obama's "More Perfect Union." These fringers want the banks, financial institutions and corporations to pay their fair share, not to Washington but TO THEM; to subsidize their non-productive, hedonistic, drug abusing, rock n roll lifestyles. Those who have given up on life and lack the will to succeed want a new, massive spread the wealth program tailored to their desires and needs. The time has come for the real revolution. The time has come for NO BUMS LEFT BEHIND.

Leftists respect just the rude force so that the contemporary police fail to demonstrate.
Conservatives and all sensible people would counter-demonstrate this gangs.

  • astra

I kicked and ACORN dudes ass three years ago for calling me a spic. He still runs away scared when he sees me around the city.

    • johnnywoods

Hey astra, Speaking of pussies, the main reason that most of those young guys are there is for the free drugs and "poontang". I saw that during the 70`s anti-war protests here in Austin at Univ. of TX.

  • BLJ

I love the way the MSM is treating these loser scumbags with kid gloves. When they report on any Tea Party event they treat it like Birmingham 1963. ACORN is an anti-American organization that has the approval of Comrade Obama and his goons.

As much as it would be nice to see these "people" get their butts kicked it is better to
just let them continue to make fools out of themselves. I am sure some of Obama's corrupt union friends are bankrolling them.

This whole sham is just part of the master plan to divide this great nation by class warfare. Like anything else these delusional losers touch it will turn into failure.

  • LindaRivera

The Obama administration is now requiring banks to lower mortgage underwriting standards and approve loans for minorities with poor credit as part of a new crackdown on alleged "discrimination."

The vicious attacks to utterly DESTROY the American economy never stops. Why are Americans so hated?

  • LindaRivera

Obviously, Wall Street is not the place to protest. The correct place to protest is outside the White House whose failed and disgraceful policies are DESTROYING our country.

An inferior health care plan that no one wants and CANNOT afford to pay. The threat to jail and/or fine those who don't purchase the government enforced plan.

Massive spending as if there is no tomorrow. Fighting wars we have no money for. Massive borrowing.

The Massive giving away of Billions of dollars every year to other countries, including the oil-wealthy Middle East, Hamas-controlled Gaza and the Palestinian Authority organization who fill their war chests, build mansions and laugh all the way to the bank with free infidel money. Whilst in America, homeless shelters are filled to capacity; tent cities have sprung up all over the U.S. filled with desperate, jobless, homeless, neglected Americans.

Massive debt. The massive printing of paper money out of thin air to DELIBERATELY create out-of-control inflation. There is no question that the total DESTRUCTION of America's economy is planned. The results will be horrifying. In the once wealthy and great nation of America, millions of Americans will become destitute, hungry and homeless with no money or resources to help them.

  • SlowDeathofReason

The bottom line is, to me, just this – only one group has the power to take away my property by use of force …. the government! Goldman-Sachs and B.O.A. have no power over my life or my money. If I want to stop unjust tax fraud and financial corruption, if I want to keep what I earn – and earn what I keep – then I have to reduce and limit the power of that government. Period! That was precisely the intent of the founders of the U.S.A.

  • BLJ

It figures that ACORN would be supporting a group of nuts.

  • altnewsreport

thanks for writing / reporting on this. I've been on it for at least 5 days. I have more dots for you all to connect right here:

I have about 6 other reports on the Obama connection to OWS that all should see and share. OWS IS NOT a leaderless movement. That's propaganda and its a lie.

  • Fred Dawes

Puppet show the big BS its all a puppet show, what we need is to understand who obama real master is? by the way it will mean nothing in 3 weeks.

  • Occupying the Cabal

Little do you fools realize that 30 feet beneath Liberty Square is a lair containing our true puppet masters: Bill Ayers, NPR executives, the guy that doctored Obama's birth certificate, and the puppeteers from Sesame Street…

If Maude Hurd is such a "Political Ally of Boston Mayor Tom Menino" and New England United for Justice is leading the Occupy Boston Protests….then why did Menino have 130 Protesters arrested on Tuesday night? Hmmmmmmmm me thinks your full of crap
