Is Obama Keeping ACORN Comrade Patrick Gaspard in the White House?

As Obama administration apparatchiks stampede the doors so they can become rich as lobbyists, no one seems to be talking about someone who is critical in the Obama White House: political director Patrick Gaspard. Is he staying or is he leaving? So far it’s not clear.

Here’s why it’s important: while Obama is now shedding some of the familiar radical faces in his outfit and bringing in alleged “centrists” such as Chicagoland’s William Daley as White House chief of staff, the extremist power behind the throne, the Big Labor puppet Gaspard, remains in Karl Rove’s former job.

The incredibly low-profile Gaspard, formerly executive vice president for political and legislative affairs for the gargantuan 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, is a radical’s radical. He is reportedly a master of Saul Alinsky‘s tactics of agitation, just like Obama.

Gaspard has very strong ties to the small-c communist group ACORN and its chief organizer Bertha Lewis. He may have even worked for ACORN, at least that’s what ACORN founder Wade Rathke said until someone powerful told him to shut his mouth.

The frequently clueless Ben Smith of the Politico suggests Gaspard is staying put. Just before the election Kenneth R. Bazinet of the New York Daily News reported that Gaspard expected to get the axe if Republicans triumphed in the November vote.

Right now Smith, bless his microscopic little heart, seems to be right.
