The Left’s Paternalistic Racism

Pages: 1 2

Is there anything more condescending than a porcelain-skinned Hollywood liberal who attempts to show her presumed solidarity with minorities by referring to them as “people of color”?

Yes, there is: Two porcelain-skinned liberals attempting to show their allegiance to “diversity” by attacking “people of color” who happen to disagree with their radical politics.

Such an exchange took place on a little-watched television show on Al Gore’s obscure cable network Wednesday night. I am spotlighting the diatribe for you not because the speakers involved hold any sway with the American electorate, but because paternalistic racism is so prevalent among the media-entertainment elite.

And it’s about time someone knocked these self-appointed Saviors of the Oppressed off their high horses.

Actress Janeane Garofalo — a former comedian turned Republican-bashing sourpuss — appeared on the Current TV talk show of disgraced former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann. Because she has no actual career achievements or noteworthy projects to discuss, the pair turned to one of their favorite topics: bashing the tea party movement, with an ample dish of vast-right-wing-conspiracy-mongering on the side.

Garofalo singled out GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain, a black businessman and grassroots favorite, because he is a “person of color.” According to the starlet, Cain launched his 2012 bid “because he deflects the racism that is inherent in the Republican Party, the conservative movement, the tea party certainly. (In) the last 30 years, the Republican Party has been moving more and more to the right, but also race-baiting more.”

She certainly knows about baiting. For the past six years, with gritted teeth and throbbing veins, she has indiscriminately attacked Republicans as “racist,” “rednecks” and “partisan hacks who are always on the verge of punching somebody or always behave as if they’ve just been cut off in traffic.” Projection for breakfast, anyone?

From the safety of her Tinseltown cocoon, she has lashed out bitterly at tea party activists as “teabagging rednecks” and assailed their fiscal conservative activism as “f***ing redneck douchebaggery.

Unmitigated douchebaggery” — all while complaining about the lack of civility in politics. In 2009, Garofalo ignored a personal invitation from Texas tea party activist Katrina Pearson and other black conservatives to attend one of their rallies and meet reality.

"…Garofalo ignored a personal invitation from Texas tea party activist Katrina Pearson and other black conservatives to attend one of their rallies and meet reality."

You are wasting your time. Garofalo and others like her will never change their minds. But think about what she is saying: "I am a famous person, therefore, I'm an expert in foreign affairs." Kinda ridiculous if you think about it even for as little as a microsecond, so stop giving them a venue because it lends credibility to their ignorance and re-enforces the fallacy.

“The last thing progressives of pallor want to deal with, you see, are “people of color” who think for themselves, refuse to be hyphenated Americans and reject left-wing orthodoxy on everything from entitlements to bailouts to Big Labor, immigration, social issues and racial preferences.”

Michelle, this is hilarious! I LOVE the title “Progressives of Pallor” LOL

You have outdone yourself. I only am sorry you had to expose us to this Dolt at all.

The "RACISM" scam of the United States has been and still is the biggest scam ever perpetrated on (white) citizens in the history of the United States by liberals and minorities alike. Consequently, I say we should call it "The Great Racism Scam". The question is, "Will it ever come to an end?" The answer is, "No way". The answer is "No way" because of two things–

    (1) Since Affirmative Action has become an acceptable element of current-day society, racial preference essentially has become an acceptable element of current-day society. Note: Racial preference has become an acceptable element of current-day society because its end result has both a detrimental and harmful effect on the white man. That is, racial preferences in education and racial preferences in employment have really screwed-over the white man for years and years now. Which means, current-day society itself here in the United States is both detrimental and harmful to the white man as racial preference has become a normal and acceptable part of it.

    And now number two–

    (2) Because the United States MUST always be "sensitive-to-the-needs" of its minorities and handle them with tender loving care. Anything less would OFFICIALLY OFFEND the minorities. Understand, when minorities become OFFICIALLY OFFENDED in the United States, such an offense results in the United States OFFICIALLY having a case of RACISM. When there is an OFFICIAL case of RACISM, all the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons of the world come out of the woodwork and scream RACIST and whatnot. Everybody but everybody knows, when the various RACISM words begin coming out of the mouths of the Jesse Jacksons and the Al Sharptons of the world (and is also being thrown around in the "government-media complex" as well), everybody but everybody in the United States runs for cover. Everybody hides. That's the way life is in the United States these days.

In the end, it is just another day for "The Great Racism Scam", and, life goes on as usual because "The Great Racism Scam" has become a normal and accepted part of everyday life in the United States.

We have bankrupcted this country paying reparations for real and imagined crimes we did not commit. Affirmative Action, the practice of promoting and hiring of the less than most qualified, has reduced our once great country to third world status. Because of discrimination against white men, which has resulted in the lack of skilled workers, and the crippling affect of high taxes to pay off the "victims" who demand more and more free money, our manufacturing base has moved to china and we are the biggest debtor nation in the world. Welcome to the Second Reconstruction. Now you know how the south felt after the civil War. The only difference is Southern states only owed billions in bonded debt for projects never built. the Federal government owes trillions. It took the South over 100 years to recover formthe First Reconstruction.
We have sold our children and grandchildren into slavery for the foreseeable future trying to appease these greedy malcontents who will never be satisfied?

Pretty amazing that liberals can get away with using the rather antiquated phrase "person [or, people] of color" with impunity while if conservatives use it, they automatically become racists (such as the title of the YouTube video of Pat Buchanan's debate with affirmative action Professor Michael Eric Dyson over then-Attorney General Eric Holder's decree that we are a "nation of cowards." Buchanan dared to refer to African-Americans as "people of color" and the poster of the video branded him a racist for this reason and (as far as I can tell) this reason alone).

As far as Ms. Garofalo's "Stockholm syndrome" remarks: I wonder if she also considers it to be a Stockholm syndrome when insane Jews in Israel talk about peaceful coexistence with the Palestinians moments after innumerable innocent Jewish civilians are blown to kingdom come by Arab suicide bombers. Probably not, since that view is not sufficiently "progressive". It's truly amazing that liberals consider themselves thinking people.
