Tearing Up The Constitution

Will the last wealthy person leaving New York state please turn off the lights? While the leftists across the country are tied up in their underwear trying to find ways to punish success with over-taxation, New York has lost taxpayers at an alarming rate. Actually it’s not all tax payers, just the ones who pay the highest taxes.

John Avlon’s wingnut-hunting shtick usually takes the form of biased anti-conservative tirades, but every now and then he manages to call out the other side, too. In his latest Daily Beast column, he takes on the left-wing protestors in my home state of Wisconsin for their hysterical opposition to Republican Governor Scott Walker’s efforts to get the state budget under control and reform public-sector unions.

Why does the Obama Administration acknowledge the voice of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt but ignore the voices of Christians, even as monks are under attack? Is it due to incompentence? Some in the Western media have supported al-Qaradawi ‘s influence as a positive development, portraying him as a moderate Muslim thinker who seeks to reconcile Islam with modern day democracy.

Too many prominent Western voices—media and political—whitewash the danger of the Muslim Brotherhood. It is a global monolith with a single goal of worldwide Sharia despite being repeatedly advertised by The Nation and the New York Times as a diverse entity with ‘moderate’ and ‘democratic’ factions.

Try to imagine a Law and Order episode where a gun-loving, Sarah Palin supporter is revealed to be a Tea Party supporter on the stand, in a trial where a radical Left attorney is using a charge of racial bias to sue the police for wrongful prosecution. What are the odds that character would be the most heroic recurring character on Law and Order? Exactly. But that’s still not good enough for Newsbusters,

Throwing Away Your Money

Democracy is under assault, but not in the manner presented by the New York Times. Not surprisingly, the op-ed pages of the nation’s leading advocate for leftist opinion have opined that the demonstrations against Governor Scott Walker’s fight to rein in spending in Wisconsin was akin to the uprising in Egypt.
