Egypt’s Venom Toward Israel

A statement issued after a second cabinet meeting on Saturday was much more provocative, saying in part, “Egyptian blood is not cheap and the government will not accept that Egyptian blood gets shed for nothing.”

The incident provided a ready pretext for venomous street demonstrations, as thousands of protesters gathered in front of the Israeli embassy. In an incident illustrative of the Egyptian military’s changed attitude toward Israel since the fall of Mubarak, a young man climbed to the roof of the Israeli embassy, tore down the Star of David flag and hoisted an Egyptian standard. The act electrified the crowd of demonstrators and, soon thereafter, the entire Arab world, as the news was spread via Twitter and other social media. The incident occurred despite hundreds of Egyptian soldiers and police watching the demonstrators and supposedly guarding the embassy.

As the crowd cheered the act and fireworks went off, the symbolism could not be ignored; the Egyptian people, having thrown off the despotic yoke of the Mubarak regime, felt free to give full voice to their anti-Semitic sentiments without fear of repercussions. The burning of Israeli flags, the protesting in front of the embassy, and outward shows of animosity to the Jewish state, were unheard of in Mubarak’s time. And the military government, cognizant of deep-seated Egyptian Jew-hatred and what was seen as the weakness of the Mubarak regime in not being more hostile to Israel or the United States, feels obliged to allow the outward manifestations of this sentiment.

At the moment, it does not mean that the Egyptian government supports abrogating the Camp David Accords. But there was a clear warning in the words of the Egyptian Information Minister Osama Heikel who told state TV, “The assurance that Egypt is committed to the peace treaty with Israel … should be reciprocated by an equivalent commitment and an adjustment of Israeli statements and behavior regarding various issues between both countries.” Such statements should not give Israeli diplomats confidence that the peace treaty will survive if a government headed by the Muslim Brotherhood takes power after the elections later this year. One notable presidential candidate, former Arab League secretary Amr Moussa, tweeted, “Israel must be aware that the days when it kills our children without getting a strong, appropriate response are gone for ever.” Coming from a serious contender for the presidency, the statement borders on being a threat.

Indeed, the trouble with Egypt has isolated Israel more than ever. Statements of condemnation regarding the confrontation with Egyptian police were heard from the usual sources, including the Arab League and Iran. But strong statements condemning the incident also came from Jordan and Morocco — two countries who could usually be counted on to temper their expressions of disapproval when criticizing Israel. The increased isolation does Israel no good as it is expected that what is being called a “diplomatic intifada” will take place at the UN next month when the Palestinians ask the UN to recognize them as an independent state. While the US is expected to veto any resolution that makes it to the Security Council, it is expected that the non-binding vote in the General Assembly will be overwhelmingly in favor of the Palestinian motion.

The diplomatic row with Egypt reveals that both substance and atmospherics are changing in the Middle East, and especially the most important component of stability in the region: the peace between Israel and Egypt. While the treaty paper may still exist, much of what Israel took for granted when Hosni Mubarak was in power (the predictability and commitment of the Mubarak regime to peace), is quickly losing its footing. With the ground appearing to shift beneath their feet, the Israelis are coming to the realization that more than ever, they must depend on their own resources and people to achieve an elusive security that is continuously threatened by those who seek to exterminate them.

THOSE WHO REFUSE TO LEARN FROM HISTORY, ARE CONDEMNED TO
    REPEAT IT..! ! !

So Israel is playing the same game that brough about t the Yom Kippur war,
trusting the good faith of MUSLIMS…

Did the Egyptian govmt. offer any explanation for attackers wearing Egyptian
military uniforms, which is what most probably caused the alleged death of
their soldiers at the intervention of the Israeli military ???

And now the Israeli govmt. apologizes for it ??

I wonder whether the Egyptian govmt. is aware that in case it decides to go to wa
against Israel, same as Israel eliminated their air force in 1967, it can also blow
up their ASWAN dam and then it will be real hell to pay for…

Did we really expect anything different?
Looking back, it appears as if the Arab Dictators whilst in power were better than the so called "Arab Spring of Democracy" rebels, for Israel. Egypt is the current "Benedict Arnold" of the Arab world. However, the current Egyptian population doesn't remenber the "thousands of Boots" left on the battlefield when the Egyptians ran for their lives and capitulated to Israel as did all the Arab attackers at the time. The difference now is that they will attack Israel from the "Safety" of their own counties in a new tech war. They will learn that Israel is adapting to counter this once again. This time, it will not be just their boots left–the boots will have Arab feet inside them!

The first step is to quietly bomb and tottally blast the Aswan dam.
    quietly and totally.

The next step is to quietly and totally vaporise mecca and medina.

sure …but vaporise does not terrorise ….please note. It’s much more humane.

When, not if, Egypt repudiates the Treaty Sadat signed and Mubarak adhered to Israel should promptly extend its southern border to the Suez and throw the scum of Gaza and all the arabs in the Sinai over it. Then declare a 20km wide free fire zone along their side of the Canal. Anything bigger than a dog that moves in it dies.

Then chuck the scum in Judea and Samaria into Syria, and move the fence to the near bank of the Jordan. Screw the right of return, nobody else in the world gets it, so why should a bunch of genocidal barbarians.

Only one place in the world a Jew can truly call his homeland: The Land of Israel (a.k.a. Palestine). To deny this is to deny basic Jewish nationhood.

Let the Arab settler-colonist land-thieves in Palestine do a U-turn and go back to the Arabian Peninsula.

"…and the West now loves it former Jews."

Of course. The more and more Islamified West is the greatest place for a Jew to live in. /sarc

You don't get it, do you? Palestine is Arab. The 'holocaust' was an intra-European affair. "The Jews' could not be a people. Logic goes against it. Look in the mirror! What do you see? If you are Ashkenazi Jew, then staring back at you is a European. If you are an original Arab Jew, then you resemble the Arabs. If you are Kenyan, Nigerian, Ugandan Jew, then you resemble African. "The Jews" are indeed a people, but only the Ashkenazi Jews who now make up close to 90% of world Jewry. How do you explain so many diseases that affect specifically Asheknazi Jews and no other Jews?

Look in the mirror and and do a U-Turn towards whatever the mirror tells you. Logic is logic! The theft of Palestine is INDEFENSIBLE!

        • ziontruth

          "Palestine is Arab."

Nope. Arabia is Arab. Palestine was conquered by the Arabs only in the 7th century.

"The 'holocaust' was an intra-European affair."

The Jewish claim to Palestine is not based on the Holocaust, nor on any other instance of past suffering in Jewish history. It is based on the twin facts that the Jews are uniquely tied to Palestine, and that no other nation has a tie to Palestine that excludes all other places.

"The Jews' could not be a people. … Look in the mirror! What do you see? If you are Ashkenazi Jew, then staring back at you is a European. If you are an original Arab Jew, then you resemble the Arabs. If you are Kenyan, Nigerian, Ugandan Jew, then you resemble African."

Not all nations are defined by racial characteristics. The Jewish nation has a definition that is genetically open: A person is a Jew if he or she was born to a Jewish mother or if he or she has undergone Orthodox conversion. The second criterion means that racial characteristics do not define the Jewish nation.

"How do you explain so many diseases that affect specifically Asheknazi Jews and no other Jews?"

The same way I explain the so many diseases that are rampant in the cousin-marrying Muslim world.

"Look in the mirror and and do a U-Turn towards whatever the mirror tells you."

What the mirror tells me means nothing at all, neo-Nazi scum. If you want to do nose tests and phrenological head bump analysis, do it on yourself.

"The theft of Palestine is INDEFENSIBLE!"

Agreed. That's why the Arab settlers stealing Palestine from the Jews, the only true Palestinians in the world, will be expelled. The theft of Palestine by the Arabs is indefensible and cannot continue!

You’re going to have to learn that when you break out the pejorative V words in your title, the public automatically recognizes it as a Hasbara hit piece. Foxman’s argumatics stink like skunk smell. I don’t know if you do a service or disservice by quoting Tzipi Livni as a voice of sensibility and reason either. On the one hand, she and the Kadima party claim to be in favor of a two state solution, but their solution involves repopulation and the prerequisite that Israel be allowed to strip her enemies of their arms and hand them territory (an Indian reservation) of Israel’s choosing. When you say “Tzipi Livni” in reference to Egypt, the reader rightfully hears: Kadima, Irgun, Zionist Revisionism, e.g. more war.

    • ziontruth

"You're going to have to learn that when you break out the pejorative V words in your title, the public automatically recognizes it as a Hasbara hit piece."

The public? Anti-Zionist scum like you, you mean.

I see Tzipi Livni isn't capitulationist enough for you, nor is the two-state solution. Implied: You're for the elimination of the Jewish State altogether.

Just so we have the measure of this commenter.

"…and hand them territory (an Indian reservation) of Israel's choosing."

We Jews are the indigenous Palestinian nation; falsely-called "Palestinians" are Arab settler-colonist invaders and land-thieves, part of the Arab nation, which already has over 20 states on a mass of land way beyond the Arab nation's indigenous territory, the Arabian Peninsula. They are the perpetrators of injustice here, and we Jews are those who resist and stand for justice. The Arab settlers have no right to any part of Palestine; they will be expelled, all of them.

      • http://www.contextflexed.com Flipside

Nobody really buys the Israelis as indigenous peoples argument. Do you still live in the copper mines of Hathor? No. Actually I am for a two state solution, but not a state and reservation solution. It is appropriate to call for an armistice, but not disarmament as a prerequisite for peace. Also, the world sees Palestine ceasefire followed by Israeli settlement increase. It’s a tired fact and it doesn’t constitute a cessation of hostilities. These skirmishes, like the skirmish this week strike the public as a giant sideshow to derail the two state solution. I think Livni only pays lip service to a two state solution. No self respecting people disarm and let a foreign adversary admit them to statehood.

        • ziontruth

"Nobody really buys the Israelis as indigenous peoples argument."

You know, it's a bad habit to claim to know the opinion of the entire world. There's this thing called speaking for yourself—start practicing it.

You don't buy this argument. But then you wouldn't buy any argument that doesn't fit your narrative of Zionism as a colonial movement. It doesn't matter: All that matters is that enough Jews, especially in Israel, buy those arguments and act upon them.

"Also, the world sees [Arab settler] ceasefire followed by [Jewish inhabitation] increase."

It is the Jews' right to inhabit any part of the Land of Israel without asking other nations' permission.

"The Jewish nation's affairs monopolize too much US government run time, too many tax dollars, and too much of our media to unpoke my nose from."

Wrong, we spend more time and tax dollars on other affairs like Health Care, the Economy and Jobs creation. That stated, we spend far more time and dollars on our other allies annually such as S. Korea ($5 billion), Japan ($3-5 billion), and our European allies (well in excess of $10 billion). Heck, we have literally pumped trillions into Arab/Islamic nations such as Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Yemen, Egypt and the UAE to name a few.

          • MixMChess

BTW, your claims about the media are laughable at best. Saudi Arabian princes own large shares of media outlets throughout the world and hold a virtual monopoly on media in the Middle East. For example, a Saudi Arabian Prince, Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdul Aziz Alsaud, owns $2.05 billion of AOL stock (parent company of time Warner and CNN). He also holds large portions of Disney (parent of ABC) and the News Corporation (Parent of the New York Post, Fox News, and the London Times). He admitted to the London times that he lodges protests of these publications' reporting directly to the chairmen and chief executives of the papers.

Case in point, Said Aburish chronicles Saudi Arabia's manipulation of the media in his book "The Rise, Corruption and Coming Fall of the House of Saud." According to Said, the ruling family of Saudi Arabia has purchased large shares of the Western Media including the whole of United Press International. He also chronicles the physical brutalization of reporters that differ from the Saudi stance on Israel among other issues.

If "too much of your media" is focused on Israel blame the obsessive Saudis.

Funny thing that two state solution, it's exactly why the Hashemite Arab Kingdom of Jordan was established. In other words, there already is a two state solution, but the arabs don't want it, instead they want to attempt to finish off what Hitler and the Nazis started, and in which quite a number of their leading lights of the time participated.

Egypt and Israel stand to lose billions of American dollars if they abrogate the peace treaty. Israel must care, but Egypt doesn't have a government in place right now, so she doesn't care at all.

Mubarak kept the peace for the money, but he did nothing to improve relations between Israel and Egypt. There were no student exchanges, no scientists working together on experiments, no educators meeting to discuss common interests, no authors, poets or artists exchanging insights. It was famously a cold peace that always prepared Egypt for further war.

The Arabs have nothing to offer the world except oil and once the West finds a substitute, the Arab Mideast promises to be an area of perpetual poverty gasping for Western welfare.

  • Beatrix

Israel was legally established by the UN. If she doesn't have the right to statehood, then what about America? We stole our land from the Indians.

It was hundreds of years ago, but if you're willing to take a country like Israel, established 63 years ago that has homes, schools, hospitals, houses of worship, businesses, paved roads, transportation and a successful democratic government and hand it over to masses of people who have yet to establish dependable governments, and who are constantly at war with each other, then the Indians have a right to tell the rest of us Americans to go back to England, France, Germany, Israel, Africa, Iraq, and Norway, etc.

At what point can you call a country your own? Perhaps Leena and Helen Thomas will elucidate.

    • http://ziomania.com Leena

The European Jews pounced on Palestine once the rule of law was established and the rule of the jungle was out! American Jews threatened Truman to give them Palestine or else he would not have had a second chance at the presidency. Google 'Edwin M Wright interview'. The European Jews, with their distinct European heritage and customers, inserted themselves in the middle of the Arab people, where they do not belong. The Arab infighting was designed in the West, or don't you get that? Malcolm X said that power takes a back step ONLY in the face of more power. If the Arabs are united, the Euro-Jews and and the darker Jews would have to vacate the stolen land of Palestine. Not the USA, not the UN, not England had any right to hand over land that did not belong to them to the Jews. Whether 60 years or 600 years or 6000 years, the Arabs will never accept this foreign and alien implant in their region. (Also Google Helen Thomas' interview by a Jewish man posted at Playboy website.

We did not steal our land from the indians, we bought it fair and square and in some cases we had to arrest the criminal indians and put them in makeshift jails called reservations. We graciously allowed them conjugal visits and that meant they were allowed to take their wives and children along to jail with them… see? And in fact our forefathers were the first enviornmentalists and animal rights activists too because the indians were hunting and killing so many of the indiginous creatures we just had to stop the carnage what with all the buffalo hides being used for tents and clothes. It was disgraceful the way those savages used to slaughter the buffalo and deer and hell just about everything that was handy. So our forefathers just rescued the lands of the wild animals from the indians who had stolen it from them as if they never heard of animal rights. See you so callled liberal historians have it all wrong. We didn't steal the land from the indians, the indians stole the land from the buffalo and other creatures. We just set things right again.

    Leena:

Jews have been in Israel continuously for 4,000 years. Palestine is simply the name that the Romans gave to Israel after they beat the Jews in war.

When the UN reestablished Israel in 1948, they established Palestine, too, but instead of setting up a country as Israel did, Palestine attacked Israel, lost the war to her, then traveled around bothering people. When the Palestinians attacked Jordan to try to make that nation into Palestine, the Jordanians exiled the Palestinians to the West Bank (which belonged to Jordan) and the Gaza strip (which belonged to Egypt).

Even with the Oslo accords, when the Palestinians had the option to create a nation in these new lands, they wound up in a civil war between Hamas and Fatah, which still isn't resolved, but if they ever unite, you know full well that Hamas will be in charge.

Truman was never threatened. He used to be a haberdasher and his partner was Jewish. Truman wanted to do something for the Jews, and giving a yes vote for the US is what he did, but Israel had enough votes even without the US.

You're batting your head against the immutable wall of history. Israel is where she belongs.

I learned so much from Leena's comments! I used to think the Grand Mufti of Palestine was one of Hitlers greatest allies, but am now assured the holocaust was an 'intra-European affair". Historians and geneticists agree that Ashkenazi Jews are primarily Semitic, but Leena has assured me this is not so with her infinite wisdom. I used to be shocked and horrified at my relatives ability to sleep with and/or do drugs with pretty much every notable person on the Left for the past 100 years, however Leena assures me that this cannot be, only "gentiles" know how to party. With her statement about Arab infighting being a creation of the West, my previous knowledge of history is evaporated. ( I will also try and forget the derogatory comments Iranians tend to make about Arabs). I once thought Jews and Christians were forced to flee to Israel from Muslim persecution, now it is clear the land they lived on since the beginning of time is stolen. How can I show my eternal gratitude?

my dear Leena and the rest of the nuts who think islam is a religion…….When China wants to bomb any part of Pakistan… India will allow it's air-space to be used…. it's common sense and why not ? It's either nuclear weapons or islam. We have to choose. Without nuclear weapons islam will never be wiped out …and by wiped out i mean WIPED OUT !!! Only AFTER islam is WIPED OUT can we even think of a nuclear weapon free world. Look around you at these monkeys … can't you see where they are taking us as a species ? islam is leading the planet to a non- stop blood bath …slowly and surely …

    • dr.music

and without nuclear weapons islam's march will never be stopped.
Someone has to start bombing the monkeys sometime …. i have a feeling that China will be the first to bite back on islam's arse. …. then free for all….. we live in interesting times…. our generation will see the death of islam….but how it will happen will be worth watching. Intelligence has a way of waking up and crushing the moronic , however vicious and barbaric. The thing to actually wonder is how Mecca and Medina will be pulverised. How will we do it ? And which year? That will be the exact beginning of a new era of peace.

      • dr.music

i have a feeling somewhere around some table some people in high and right places are looking at this solution. And i have a feeling they compromise a lot of different people from all over the globe. Intelligence is Good. Intelligence is Cool. islam is neither. Hence islam will literally dissolve. Without mecca and medina there is no islam. Period.
After islam is Irradicated we can think about nuclear disarmamment and all things peacefull and noble. Till then we have to wait . We have to. There is no option. They want us all dead and we want to live…. got any brighter ideas?
        Cheers !!
The very moronic and very evil Khomeini's pronouncement : "Allah did not create man so that he could have fun. The aim of creation was for mankind to be put to the test through hardship and prayer. An Islamic regime must be serious in every field. There are no jokes in Islam. There is no humor in Islam. There is no fun in Islam. There can be no fun and joy in whatever is serious."

Islam is inherently radical and jihadist.
        Muslims are followers of Islam.
Therefore Muslims are inherently radical and jihadist.

        got it?

to leena and her nuts…..imagine your grankids being made to shout alllahhh ho aakkkhhbbaarr…. all this noble but wimpy talk by you has to stop …do you even read one international news paper? and do you know…
First things first .. The koran is not a holy book..it is the most evil and racist and sexist book ever written. It is a slur to the written word. It is an insult to human intelligence. Have no doubt. Read it to disbelieve it .The Koran is PURE NONSENSE. All muslims should be trying to get out of islam's clutches . All muslims should be trying to get out of islam's clutches not only for their sake and their children's sake but for the sake of their forefathers and foremothers who were converted to this evil and vile cult by the sword and fright. Forget christianity if it’s such a big issue .muslims need to move out en masse to something like buddhism. Or mass suicide. One can only hope.

Let's not forget that Islamic prayer includes a ritual of repeated MELODIC repetition of the first verse of the Koran, a verse that has been interpreted since its authoratative interpretation in medieval times, and still is today, to be a curse on Jews and Christians.
The first Sura or chapter of the Koran contains the MELODIC CURSING of the Jews and Christians that is repeated five times daily in prayers. So the next time you hear the melodic Islamic call from the nearest mosque you helped build remember they aren’t calling you …they’re calling FOR non-islamic deaths.
… be practical for your children's sake… there's no other. Wakey Wakey.

If Mecca is destroyed, then Islam is destroyed!

Muslims believe that their "Allah" has always protected his holy city. Nuke it and "Allah" is revealed to be the falsest of false gods. He's not much of a god anyway, has to rely on his "shahids" to rain down terror on us "infidels".
