Obama Administration Bans the Truth About Islam and Jihad

Pages: 1 2

It has been a long time coming, but the Obama Administration has now officially banned the truth. Deputy U.S. Attorney General James Cole declared Wednesday at a conference in Washington that he had “recently directed all components of the Department of Justice to re-evaluate their training efforts in a range of areas, from community outreach to national security.” This “reevaluation” will remove all references to Islam in connection with any examination of Islamic jihad terror activity. The Obama Administration has now placed off-limits any investigation of the beliefs, motives and goals of jihad terrorists.

Dwight C. Holton, former U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon, emphasized that training materials for the FBI would be purged of everything politically incorrect: “I want to be perfectly clear about this: training materials that portray Islam as a religion of violence or with a tendency towards violence are wrong, they are offensive, and they are contrary to everything that this president, this attorney general and Department of Justice stands for. They will not be tolerated.”

Holton said that he had spoken with Attorney General Eric Holder about FBI training materials that Holton claimed were “egregiously false,” and that Holder “is firmly committed to making sure that this is over….we’re going to fix it.” Holton said that this “fix” was particularly urgent because the rejected training materials “pose a significant threat to national security, because they play into the false narrative propagated by terrorists that the United States is at war with Islam.”

Cole suggested that these training materials had done damage domestically as well: “One of the many, tragic legacies of 9/11 has been an increase in prejudice, discrimination and hatred directed against persons of the Muslim and Sikh faiths and those who are, or who are mistakenly perceived to be, of Arab or South Asian descent. Some have wrongly sought to blame the horror of 9/11 on Arab-American, Muslim American, Sikh-American and South Asian American communities. It has led to attacks against places of worship and other hate crimes, to job discrimination, and to the tragic harassment of children in our schools.”

After sketching out this horror tale, Cole declared: “We must never allow our sorrow and anger at the senseless attack of 9/11 to blind us to the great gift of our diversity.” And this, he said, must involve a rejection of the stereotyping of Muslims: “All of us must reject any suggestion that every Muslim is a terrorist or that every terrorist is a Muslim.  As we have seen time and again – from the Oklahoma City bombing to the recent attacks in Oslo, Norway – no religion or ethnicity has a monopoly on terror.” It was George Bush, he said, who after 9/11 “made clear to the nation that these terrorist acts were committed by individuals who distort the peaceful religion of Islam,” and now all government analysis of jihad terror would reflect that perspective.

Of course, the controversial training materials did not really claim that all Muslims are terrorists or that all terrorists are Muslims, and it is noteworthy that Cole had to resort to dismissive caricatures to make his point. For in taking this course, the Obama Administration is bowing to pressure from the Hamas-linked Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) and other Islamic advocacy groups. In a Los Angeles Times op-ed that appeared on the same day as the conference in Washington, Salam al-Marayati of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) roundly criticized existing training materials about jihad terror and demanded that the FBI and the Justice Department “issue a clear and unequivocal apology to the Muslim American community; establish a thorough and transparent vetting process in selecting its trainers and materials; invite experts who have no animosity toward any religion to conduct training about any religious community to law enforcement.”

Al-Marayati complained that training materials reflected “bigoted and inflammatory views on Muslims, including claims that ‘devout’ Muslims are more prone toward violence, that Islam aims to ‘transform a country’s culture into 7th century Arabian ways,’ that Islamic charitable giving is a ‘funding mechanism for combat’ and that the prophet Muhammad was a ‘violent cult leader.’”

In this al-Marayati was simply repeating talking points from an “expose” of FBI training materials by hard-Left journalist Spencer Ackerman in Wired, who has been conducting a campaign for some time to get the bureau to purge its terrorism training seminars of any hint of the truth about the global jihad and Islamic supremacism. Yet like virtually all Leftist and Islamic supremacist critics of anti-jihad and anti-terror material, Ackerman and al-Marayati take for granted that such assertions are false, without bothering to explain how or why. Apparently they believe that their falsity is so self-evident as to require no demonstration; unfortunately, however, there is considerable evidence that they are true, and that in banning such materials, the Obama Administration has essentially banned the truth.

    Islam = Evil

it is NOT a religion of peace it is a cancer on the face of our planet and needs to be eridicated now!

    • gast

      Ditto

  • David, Thailand

To those invoking Jesus and his principles: It should be clear even for the blind to see that those very principles leave Christianity at a severe disadvantage in any confrontation with Islam, which has a forceful, fearless, irrational, warrior prophet.

    • Beth

If you don't fight 'fire with Fire' – you will lose – in the court of law.

If a judge believes that Christianity (for example) is just as violent (produce those Scriptures – they can't, none exist) then the judge will not condemn islam (the koran) ignoring the fact that freedom of religion NEVER included the right to incite the masses into violence.

    • cpageinkeller

Jesus got it right Luke 22:36.

      Armed Christians are essential.

Only reason Nimo is spouting off here is because it is a blog with freedom of speech.
Why doesnt he/she/it go live in the middle east and spout off over there.
Oh yes, I forgot, its punishable by death to go on blogs and social sites.
At least then though we can all happily admire his beheading on Youtube while he is still telling us that Islam is a good, tolerant and just religion!

    • aspacia

True, most liberals do not realize what will happen to them in the ME.

I say screw all religion… Yep that works for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just think of how many wars we would not have fought… I assure you its a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If not for religion, it would be about resources. Remember the Old West Water Wars. Talk about brutal.

Why am I not surprised by the allegations of the brown shirt rag?!

Why the allusion to the Nazis? We are against liberal totalitarianism which is Nazism.

Obama Admisistration hasn't banned the truth. The opinion expressed in this column is ridiculous. There are pleanty of people who practice Islam in the US. The US is obviously not at war with Islam. The US is at war with Islamic extremests. It is important not to get the two confused. Not that I like Islam personally. But if a government program is advocating prejudice against a group it should stop. Hey, sorry if the Obama admisisration tries to take steps not to unfairly target people you don't like! But just because someone is a muslim, doesn't necessarliy make them a terrorist.

    • Larry

No.That's true, however it's also true that 95%+ of modern day terrorist are in fact muslim

    • aspacia

say is another fine product of our worthless k-12 system. The big O has forced his peon to omit the facts, which is a ban you dolt.

      It is Administration not Admisistration
      It is plenty not pleanty
      It is extremists not extremests
      It is Muslim not muslim

There have been numerous attempted Islamic terrorist attacks against our land in the last few years all perpetrated by previously non-violent Muslims.

Not all Muslims are terrorists, albeit all current ununiformed terrorists are Muslims.

Where do those commands leave the 'moderate' muslim sayhi?

And what about the fact that those teachings are taught to their children?

Does freedom of religion protect incitement to carry out violence?

  • dle

For the record, The Torah, The old testament, and the Qur'an, all preach violence. Christianity and Islam were both created by outcasts, Judaism likes to think it was an outcast (where is the history in the Egyptians enslavement of the Hebrews? Non exist)

Blaming someone solely on their religious background is absurd. It's like branding everyone with red hair a terrorist. From the remarks to this post, it is clear to me that the only thing that is driving most people is a blind hatred for the sake of hatred. We are eating ourselves up from the inside, mainly because we can't tell the difference between our enemies and our friends and no longer seem o want to.

Yes, we are headed for hell in a hand basket, but when you want to blame someone, look in the mirror. We are like a serial killer who refuses to accept the responsibility of our own actions.. Everything is someone else's fault. No wonder they hate us so. Hipocrasy is brutal.

    • aspacia

dle, this thread regards O's omitted facts from law enforcement training manuals. Should this be done to avoid hurting Muslim's? I think not.

BTW, I tend to agree with your comments regarding faith, but most on this board are not driven by blind hate, except ObamaYoMama. I am concerned regarding the Islamic faith and what is entering my land and challenging my freedoms.

Read MEMRI and other ME media for insight regarding their aspirations.

We have a Constitution that says that we can not make laws against religion. We cannot use the person's religion in a court of law as a reason to believe that they are law breakers. If we focus on those who are plotting violence, regardless of their religion, then we are following the Constitution. It does not matter if Islam has a war with us; what matters is whether or not we live what we believe. And that is the religious tolerance that was written into our Constitution. You want the blessings of this American government but only for people who are like you, not all citizens. It seems to me that Obama is the one following the Constitution and those criticizing him on this point are hypocrites.

    • Vulgarmastermind

We better not target inner city gangs by this notion. They are a group of individuals that band together and incite violence and mayhem. We better not target the KKK. Just because you are part of it, doesn't mean you will kill. Facts are facts are facts. If radical Islam has war on the West, you better fight. If you don't, please don't be offended when I hide behind you, armed or ready to fight. You should be on the front lines in the wars looking to shake hands with your friends.

    • Beth

U.S. law does not allow authorities to abuse anyone for their beliefs. NOR – does it demand that the U.S. government DEFEND anyone's religious beliefs.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

      Which agrees with the following:

Article. IV. Section. 4. of the Constitution of the United States of America

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

U.S. Law DEMANDS that the government protect the people from domestic violence. It is FACT that the Koran CLEARLY preaches violence. The U.S. administrations (plural) have neglected their duty when it comes to dealing with Islam – ACCORDINGLY – to U.S. Law.

      Article. III. Section. 3.

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, GIVING THEM AID AND COMFORT. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses (the koran is on the internet for ALL to see) to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

Freedom of religion NEVER gave any religion the right to incite the masses into violence.

This whole article is fundamentally based on assertion that the passages cited , Qur’an 2:191; 4:89; 9:5; 9:29; 47:4, call for a holy war… if any of you had bothered, as I did, to conduct a quick google search of the these passages, it becomes quite clear that they appear to call for violence only when taken out of context. Reading just one sentence previous, makes it clear that they are a call only to self defense. This should be plainly clear to anyone who has two minutes to bother checking their sources..

    • aspacia

Did you read the whole Sura?

    • Beth

It preaches beheadings of non-Muslims} 047.004

The koran commands its followers to carry out crucifixions and the cutting off of hands and feet} 005.033 (crucifixions?!? – for crying out loud)

      It preaches treason in non-Muslim lands} 008.067

      It preaches war against all non-Muslims} 008.039 – 033.061 – 009.029 – 004.095 -002.216 – 009.039 – 009.123

008.067 It is not fitting for a prophet that he should have prisoners of war [slay them first] until he hath thoroughly subdued the land. {Treason in all non-Muslim nations

033.061 They [non-muslims] shall have a curse on them: whenever they are found, they shall be seized and slain without mercy. {Genocidal teaching – no matter how you look at it!

I sound like a broken record – but it's too important not to:

Freedom of religion NEVER included the right to incite the masses into violence.

  • Old vet.

I think Nimo is a fish out of water. Was it peaceful muslims that flew planes into the Twin Towers, the Pentagon or the ground in Pennsylvania. It sure wern't Christians. Was it a peaceful muslim that killed and wounded all the troops at Fort Hood. It sure wern't Christians. The underwear bomber, Was he Christian, nope. What he and others don't see is that the West and Islam have been at war since the seventh century. It may never end. So all we can do is protect ourselves.

  • Beth

Posting for all to see (from a long segment of replies to aspacia found on the 2nd page which begins with "nimo: "lying?" who never did give an answer to the koran's incitement to carry out crucifixions)

    Addressed to aspacia:

You have – YET – to post any Scriptures from the New Testament that teach humans to be violent with other.

This, you hate – because it leaves islam with no weapon when it comes to the fact that Freedom of religion NEVER included the right to incite the masses into violence. That's both national AND international laws that condemn the koran, once the accusation that "Christianity is no better" is removed.

That's the whole point of the segment of these replies.

You have yet to prove your point about Christianity being no better [you will never be able to do that - because no such Scripture exists]

Now – (to the readers) let's vote for leaders who will apply the laws that are already on the books – to rightfully and fairly ban islam altogether.

  • davepinoy

I think obama is starting to show his true islamic color. When one thinks, that he seems to want an economic chaos, deplete the military of its resources, hatred for Israel, friendliness to iran (depite giving them a slap in the hand for their nuclear program), deliberate attempt to create a dichotomy between social classes, outrages government spending spree….theres only one conclusion. Obama is not serving american interest. Guess who's interest obama is serving…..

  • davepinoy

After stepping down from the presidency this 2012, i wouldnt be surprise if obama would say he is converting to islam…..Are you kidding me? Obama had been a muslim throughout his life….his actions exposes that.

Political Correctness: by its very nature does not require explanation for its tenets or dogma’s – that’s the whole point of it.

PC is the hippie expression of their fascistic totalitarian ideology into the real world: all must obey or suffer the consequences.

Much like the mythical evils of a dominating Christianity: only very much not-mythical.

As a Serbian, I love it all you Americans are having so many problems with Islam. You Americans sided with the same type of Muslims in the Balkans your fighting now. Hey how did Sept 11th work out for you people? Lol!! You can not blame us Serbians, even though many would love to. I love your having so many problems. Clinton, Bush and Obama told to Christian Serbs, that they should convert to Islam or move out of Serbia and the balkans. I hope you love the monster you people created.

religion is a way to reach god, find peace of mind, its a self discovery process that makes us calm, feel happy being content. in every religion , people talk about the supreme being called God. so, if one seeks god in Church or in mosque or in a temple, does that make any difference? . the point is everyone is worshiping the same supreme being, one way or the other. where is the teachings of equality, secularism, tolerance, forgiveness, compassion. if these open minded thinking and equality is not there in the religious books, is it not provoking inequality, hatred, a mission to accomplish by converting others to your own religions? if not converted or followed the way of allah, consider them as kafirs and declare a jihad against them ? how the peace is gonna come like that. who are infidels ? those who don't go word by word mentioned in koran ? either convert them or kill them ? killing of one man is the killing of whole human society ? then kill who, the infidels ? do not question what allah has said ? why not ? why not reason it out ? why not test it with my logic and sense, why accept it as it is like an ignorant. as long as both the sides keep fighting, there will be NO peace. one has to take the initiative, be tolerant, to start talking about LOVE and harmony. sounds like a stupid lecture ? but thats the truth. no one talks of equality, tolerance, all wants to say, my book and way of seeking god is right , yours is wrong, and it goes on and on..

Obama is aiding our Islamic Jihadist enemies by denying that the terrorists are mostly devout Muslims engaged in a Jihad. Islam has never been a religion of peace.

Obama is simply practicing Cultural Marxism i.e. political correctness and so are the RINO leadership/followers in the Republican Party!
Politicians at all levels of government (city/town), Township, county, state and federal government need to take time to watch a former DOD/JCS Shariah/Islamic expert, Stephen Coughlin, provide a briefing on YouTube that explains the dangers we are facing when Obama signed UN Resolution 16/18 and how it begins to chip away at our First Amendment: Stephen Coughlin, Part 5: The Role of the OIC in Enforcing Islamic Law. While on YouTube watch the other excellent Coughlin briefings.
Here is a question for our legal eagles. Are IG officers required to respond to congressional inquiries or can they ignore them? None of the five IG officers responded to the requests Rep. Bachmann and four other real political heroes made when they did their jobs and provided oversight to the Executive Branch when they sent these requests for investigations.
Here is a quote from Rep. Bachmann’s website that contains links to all letters to the IG officers. http://bachmann.house.gov/press-release/house-members-seek-national-security-answers-inspectors-general
“Last year, June 13, 2012 Rep. Michele Bachmann (MN-06) , Rep. Trent Franks (AZ-02), Rep. Louie Gohmert (TX-01), Rep. Tom Rooney (FL-16) and Rep. Lynn Westmoreland (GA-03) sent letters to the Inspectors General of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice and the Department of State. These letters seek answers about the U.S. government’s involvement with the Muslim Brotherhood, a group that calls for “civilization jihad.”
In the letter, Bachmann, Franks, Gohmert, Rooney and Westmoreland questioned the Inspectors General about the direct influence within the intelligence community of Muslim Brotherhood operatives. They explained that the U.S. government in federal court has established that the group’s mission in the U.S. is “destroying the Western civilization from within.” The members went on to request that the respective offices of the Inspectors General conduct a formal investigation or evaluation of the extent to which Muslim Brotherhood-tied individuals or entities are involved. “
The Muslim Brotherhood’s plan to destroy America and the Western world in their quest to form a global Caliphate can be purchased online at Amazon for only $5.00: An Explanatory Memorandum: From the Archives of the Muslim Brotherhood in America (Center for Security Policy Archival Series).
In addition, Rep. Bachmann responded to a letter by the Muslim Brotherhood’s own mouthpiece, Rep. Ellison. Here is a link to her 16-page letter. http://bachmann.house.gov/sites/bachmann.house.gov/files/UploadedFiles/Letter_to_Rep._Ellison.pdf
Why hasn’t our politicians tightened our National/Homeland Security by mandating all federal employees complete the online form developed to improve our national security? This 127-page form will go a long way in eliminating those like Huma Abedin who infiltrate our government.
Look up Office of Personnel Management (OPM) form SF 86, Questionnaire for National Security Positions. This form needs to be included as a form that all new applicants for citizenship should complete.

I cannot bring myself to read another post that begins My book, "Satan's Trinity: …. etc".

I don't care how valuable a contribution this book makes (if any) or how well it's written, the way this person shamelessly shills for it here is having completely the opposite effect of that intended. I will not read his posts, never mind his book. Enough already!

  • aspacia

Martel, I quit reading your huckstering posts a long time ago, don't waste your time.

  • nimo

what about the hundreds of thousands of acts of terror by america? tghousands of bombs dropped, millions of bullets fired, thousands of innocents hurt and killed and labeled "collateral damage".

you see the splinter in Islams eye, but do not notice the log in yours.

  • nimo

yes, keep denying that "good christians" have a hand in hurting and killing innocent people. denial is more than a river in egypt.

WE are ALL at fault. some of you cant seem to grasp this message im trying to communicate. I am not arguing for Islam or for Christianity. neither are perfect or peaceful.

  • LCDR Rainer

You think you win by trying to talk about "we Christians" well dhimmi I am certianly no Christian. I am an Atheist or at least Agnostic. So now that your "we Christians" garbage is over and debunked how about we focus on Islam.
Secondly as far as your whining about us dropping bombs, how about you go to Youtube and look at some of the Helo FLIR footage in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. (the ones with actual audio of the event not the ones with music in the background) cause every time you will see the restraint that the US Military uses to make damn sure collateral damage is kept to an absolute minimum.

Nimo wether you are a Muslim jihadist posing as an American or your a liberal dweeb it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter because you get all your information about the wars second and third hand, and even worse is you are not getting information from those of us that have been there.

So to all here who wants to spout off about the wars let me tell you a little about my life. I served 1 14 month tour in Afghanistan from Nov2001 to Jan2003. I can skip all the suicide bomber and IED attacks that killed innocent people that were committed by Jihadists, but I will tell about how I saw Muslims treating each other. One of the hardest things I ever saw was how Afghan men would treat their own families. I routinely saw Afghan men beat the living hell out of their young children and wives. In one villiage we had to helivac a 20 something yr old woman because the husband broke both of her eye sockets because she came and had took advantage of our humanitarian medical mission (to win hearts and minds) somehow the husband felt dishonored so he beat his wife and punched and kicked her wives face so badly she had 2 broken eye sockets and lost over a dozen teeth. Because we Americans are supposed to "respect their noble culture" nothing whatsoever happened to that husband.

In Iraq I worked in a team hunting down insurgents and ex bathhists. We raided a warehouse one night and killed and captured the scumbag terrorists that were there. In this warehouse we discovered what can only be described as a torture room. They chopped off limbs and rubbed sand and urine in them, raped, took blowtorches to them, pulled eyes out of their sockets, beat them with hammers and a ton of other inhumane garbage. When interrorgated the insurgents that were not killed in the firefight said they did it because it was justified to do it because it was in the Koran to kill Apostates and infidels. The scumbag Sadr militia insurgents caught in this were very proud of their work. They smiled when talking about it, joked about it, and even videotaped it so they could post it online.

So whine all you want about the garbage that is in the old testament and whine about jesus all you want, it only makes you look dimwitted and uninformed. Whenever these terrorist scum got caught their immediate response was that they were following the Koran. Sometimes we Americans have killed innocent people but I have never seen an instance there it was done intentionally. I have seen where muslims have killed innocent people over and over again with no remorse and done intentionally.

So remember bud, I am an Atheist so I do not care about Jebus or Mohammed but since I have actually been in these wars I have firsthand knowledge about the horrors of the middle east and Islamic world and you only get your information given to you by the MSM or a blog. As far as the MSM they stayed their asses back in the green zone partying while we servicemen were in the field.

  • Larry

It was a muslim who put that log in our eye.

  • Ralph

The log in America's eye is the other end of the stick that's in the Muslim eye. If you'd stop looking at us with such envy the log would be pointing somewhere else putting someone else's eye out.

You get what you give, so …. you follow islam, you're as good as dead already.

  • LCDR Rainer

Sorry I forgot to add, I did 2 year long deployments to Iraq in 2003 & 2004-2005
until I got injured in an IED attack that resulted in the deaths of 2 great Airmen and Sailors.

  • Rolling Eyes

If I had to choose, I would claim Christianity versus Islam…as far as I know the last crusade was over 700 years ago…the latest islamic version is still in progress.

As has been said before; One religion asks that you send your son (or yourself) to die for its god, and the other states that its G-d sent his son (or himself) to die for you. To any rational being, given that choice – which to choose should be obvious.
