The Republicans should quickly and honestly outline the democrat responsibilities for the state (moral, financial, and intellectual) our country is in and then everybody, all together, demos and repubs alike, pull the columns down. Unfortunately, we are far beyond any cooperation with the "I won - Obama" crowd and can only hope for a clean break with the past and an all new Republic of these United States. Those who want to sink can stay with the current democracy. Those states which want a real life, a fresh start, and a return to the values of our forefathers succeed.

Sorry! - Make Ann Coulter Own Romney! - She was his staunchest front man for over a year.

Romney & Coulter were at their most animated when attacking his Conservative GOP opponents!

As much as I hate to say it, the Republicans need to give Obama what he wants, the tax increase on the rich. They also need to make sure he acknowledges that they decided to be "bipartisan" on that issue. Then they need to hope that the average Obama supporter learns how to do math as the economy goes down the ceramic facility. Without that last part there will not be any realization that the left's policies won't work.

Of course, I was being facetious with that line, Patron.
Tax hikes on the rich will never increase revenues. They already know this. It's merely a political ploy to let them say they tried their best.
Unfortunately, they will lament, now everyone will have to tighten their belts.
Well, except those who get government handouts.
There will come a time, if it hasn't already, when you can make more by having a part time job and getting supplemental government assistance than you can from a full time job making the median income in America.
Too many will say, why bother working all day.
Just have a couple of kids and tell them you don't have a man in your life to contribute (even though you do. Who's checking anymore?)
I know how it works. I came from a welfare family and it worked even when they checked up on you!

You are correct. It's a horrible idea. I highly doubt any of the Obama voters will suddenly have a paradigm shift and turn Republican. If anything, letting taxes rise and standing by as the Western economy collapses will fracture conservatives further and push more into the Ron Paul and Gary Johnson constituency.

The same benefits can be gained in a win. Congress can pass bills to simplify the tax code and lower overhead to force the issues, as well as having hearings on government waste.

Four years is a long time and familiarity breeds contempt. Look at Bush 2004 vs Bush 2008.

"By that metric, if 88% of the taxpayers could afford it then, why shouldn't they be able to afford it now?"

Similar tax hikes in England and France led to the wealthy leaving the country and business closings. Costs were passed onto the consumer, and tax revenue to the governments decreased.

There is no dot com bubble to prop up federal spending. State and local tax rates are higher. Dodd Frank rules and federal insolvency dried up the credit market to cover up for Congressional Democrat's fraud.

If you'll recall, when or if the Bush tax cuts expire, they will go back to the rates endorsed by Clinton.
I seem to remember he was a Dim.
By that metric, if 88% of the taxpayers could afford it then, why shouldn't they be able to afford it now?
You seem to be laboring under the delusion that Zero doesn't want tax hikes on everyone.
He really does. How else do you think he will pay for his programs? They might not be called tax hikes though.
"My policies will necessarily make electricity costs skyrocket". Recall that? Who do you think that will hurt most? Who do you think will supply the money to combat those costs by subsidy, which Zero will implement. You know, 'cause it's the right thing to do.
Raising taxes on the rich ain't gonna' cut it, no matter high high they go.
You're being suckered, laddie.
