Ryan’s The One

I began as a skeptic of the selection of Paul Ryan as Romney’s VP. I did so not because I didn’t think the world of Paul Ryan – I do – but because I was afraid the Ryan plan would provide a juicy target for a campaign run by Democratic gangsters who have already accused the Republican candidate – as decent a human being as you will find in politics — of murder.

But listening to candidate Ryan over the last few days and watching his impact on Romney himself and on the presidential campaign – its new vigor in going on the attack and its effectiveness in dispelling the opposition’s lies, I have come around to agreeing that this was a terrific choice. Ryan is articulate, aggressive and on top of the facts – loaded for Democratic bear. Opposing Medicare – which Obama has plundered — to Obamacare, which a majority of voters already dislike, is a brilliant strategy that can neutralize the unprincipled attacks and the calculated distortions of the conman in the White House and his ethically challenged thugs. Most importantly, with Ryan on board the Romney team has gone on the attack. If they continue this way through the rest of the campaign we might save our country after all.

I felt the same way as you did, David. I think it is time Politicians stop fooling around using nonsense as an argument.

  • Marie

Let's hope that Ryan and his family can withstand the vicious attacks of the Left.

Thanks for giving us your assessment…I pray you are right.

I hope they will be serious focusing on USA Islamist infiltration in our nation.

    Paul Ryan, VP pick. R & R?

It's really “M.A.O. vs. the THREE R’s. Marx, Alinsky, and Obama VS. Romney, Ryan, and REAGAN.” The keynote speaker at the Republican Convention SHOULD BE RONALD REAGAN with Nancy on stage too. Remind people of the man who restored real "HOPE" in America from another disastrous Democrat, “the 2nd Worst in History." Add the landslide victories, recovery, not blaming Carter, and remind and teach Americans about the REAGAN DEMOCRATS who switched votes for a Republican to SAVE America.

Most importantly, remind America with Reagan's own words, "the Evil Empire,” or the 80’s SOVIET UNION, THE country Obama and the Democrats loved more than their own country, and just maybe EVERY AMERICAN will OPEN THEIR EYES and Connect the Dots giving the THREE R'S a landslide victory.

Obama Plan: Attack the Ryan Budget. Ryan comeback: "Where's yours?" Obama is a person who is hiding his past to make it seem he doesn't have a past to then criticize but many facts are coming out everyday. Then his State Senate career was voting "present" therefore not putting his name down on important votes which could then be criticized. What votes did he make while in the U.S. Senate? All I remember is him and Hillary spitting on General Betray Us and now a man they depend on. He should have SPIT ON THEM and still could if he resigned and spoke up AGAINST Obama like Colin Powell who defected from the Republican's only to vote for a man based on their mutual skin color.

Now Gaffy Duck Biden is going to be replaced by a Communist but people won't care since they will vote for the "First Female Vice-President" just like they voted for the "First Black President."

Childish, malignant, liars – Lefty trolls on this site.

        Yes, we just ignore them.

Keep reading. It may start to make sense.

Dumb and dumbest are those who blindly follow the criminal fraud in the White House. 55% unemployment among black youth and talk to black people they still blame Bush. Absolutely pathetic. Dumb and dumbest
is the fraud president who can't even speak to an elementary school without a teleprompter and Biden who makes Dan Quail look like genius.

      • Lucifer Dye

O Baptised One, wasn't Dan Quayle (quail's a bird, not a former VP) the guy who was taken to task by a grade-schooler for misspelling "potato?" And in the debate I watched, Biden ate Ryan's lunch. I haven't seen so much flopsweat during a political debate since the Kennedy-Nixon one back in the day.

Well, Rubio would have caused the Republicans to lose the white voters that are tried of both both parties giving way on the illegal immigrant issue. We need to peanlzied companies that hire them since most illegal immigrants are involved in ID Theft first before you consider any that of legalization for people brought in as minors. It may make it harder to Florida but Ryan I think from the polls is better for Oh, Wi, or Va than Rubio would.

    • Lucifer Dye

Rubio's a liar — he claimed his parents fled Cuba to escape from Castro while Batista was still in power.

  • mlcblog

David, from your lips to God's ears!

I'd like Ryan to explain why he voted for the NDAA which is antithetical to the Constitution and Bill of Rights. It is one big step moving the nation towards a police state and it seems to me all who voted for it have potential tyranny blood on their hands. Thank John McCain.

  • cynthia curran

I'm tired of the libertarians that are so free speak their against some national security. The far left is also against the NDAA, so libertarians beware.

  • cynthia curran

Well, I was disappointed with George W Bush on immigration and think his family tries too much to go after the Hispanic vote but since he left office there are too many far right types, there are a lot of Birchers who hate the Rinos I use to read Bircher material in the 1970's since I grew up in Orange County and a lot of them like Chuck Baldwin want to vote for Paul, love him on foreign policy but on on illegal immigration since Paul against e-verify. And the libertarians who I never thought would really have much influence when I met some of them in Los Angeles years ago. Also, Ron Paul and Gary Johnson supporters. People usually mention the left in California but the far right behind Ron Paul is gaining steam and they dislike Romney//Ryan.

  • cynthia curran

I mean Chuck Baldwin wants to vote for Ron Paul.
