The Barbarism That Is Muslim Egypt

A dark evil night is descending over Egypt, courtesy of the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist parties that the Obama Administration is busily engaging and promoting. Don’t expect protests in the West from hypocritical feminists and Women’s Studies Departments over these outrages against women. This is what the Horowitz Freedom Center’s Islamic Apartheid this week at Temple University was about, and why the campus left and the Muslim hate groups at Temple were determined to suppress it.

Outrage as Egypt plans ‘farewell intercourse law’ so husbands can have sex with DEAD wives up to six hours after their death

By Lee Moran

Egyptian husbands will soon be legally allowed to have sex with their dead wives – for up to six hours after their death.

The controversial new law is part of a raft of measures being introduced by the Islamist-dominated parliament.

It will also see the minimum age of marriage lowered to 14 and the ridding of women’s rights of getting education and employment.

Egypt’s National Council for Women is campaigning against the changes, saying that ‘marginalising and undermining the status of women would negatively affect the country’s human development’.

Dr Mervat al-Talawi, head of the NCW, wrote to the Egyptian People’s Assembly Speaker Dr Saad al-Katatni addressing her concerns.

Egyptian journalist Amro Abdul Samea reported in the al-Ahram newspaper that Talawi complained about the legislations which are being introduced under ‘alleged religious interpretations’.

The subject of a husband having sex with his dead wife arose in May 2011 when Moroccan cleric Zamzami Abdul Bari said marriage remains valid even after death.

He also said that women have the right to have sex with her dead husband, alarabiya.net reported.

It seems the topic, which has sparked outrage, has now been picked up on by Egypt’s politicians.

TV anchor Jaber al-Qarmouty slammed the notion of letting a husband have sex with his wife after her death under the so-called ‘Farewell Intercourse’ draft law.

He said: ‘This is very serious. Could the panel that will draft the Egyptian constitution possibly discuss such issues? Did Abdul Samea see by his own eyes the text of the message sent by Talawi to Katatni?

‘This is unbelievable. It is a catastrophe to give the husband such a right! Has the Islamic trend reached that far? Is there really a draft law in this regard? Are there people thinking in this manner?’

One can but hope that such insanity will open the eyes of some more blinkered liberals.

This is standard hyperbolic propaganda stuff, linking a fringe element, of which there are examples on any side of politics or religion, with the mainstream Egyptian parliament.

What is your problem? Can't you read and comprehend English?

The Islamists control the Egyptian parliament, which means they were elected by a majority of Egyptians. That isn't "fringe" by anyone's definition. Fringe means small, isolated contingent of radicals.
The fact is that this kind of depraved thinking is common within the Islamic world, and it derives directly from the teachings in the Quran and Shariah law.

Do I need to tell you that denial isn't just a river in Egypt?

The Union indicatyed that Islam prohibits the husband having sex with his wife when she has her menstrual period, and that Islam prohibits the husband from washing his wife’s body after her death as the marriage status is gone after death.

The Union said that he did not find any bill of that nature after contacting the concerned authorities in Egypt, such as the National Center for Women, and defied the two newspapers to publish into British version of the bill alleged.

He noted that the Union asked that newspapers rather should check their sources before publishing false news such as this that may hurt the feelings of other societies, and to preserve the credibility of the newspaper itself.
