(CBS) “Now at least Federal authorities Might be Able to Punish the Filmmaker.”

Just remember this is about parole violations, not about suppression of free speech, just ask reliable CBS leftist Dan Raviv.

RAVIV: I’m Dan Raviv in Washington. The short movie posted on YouTube has had a lot of diplomatic impact. It was *clearly* designed to insult the Prophet Mohammed, and a senior Obama administration official told CBS News last week that no one in the Middle East seems to believe that the US government could not stop the film from getting out. Now at least Federal authorities might be able to *punish* the filmmaker.”

When asked about it on Twitter, Raviv dug his hole even deeper.

Raviv has a point, obviously the arrest took place because the Obama Administration wants to show total disapproval. But does Dan Raviv actually understand what he’s saying?

Dan Raviv, despite his name and the impression he tries to give by talking about the Mossad, is not an Israeli, though he has worked as a correspondent in Israel. This is not a case of a foreigner making a mistake about American laws. This is an American media pro talking openly about punishing the Mohammed moviemaker.

Media as well as officialdom has been very busy falling all over each other in their headlong rush to carve out 1st Amendment exceptions for Islamic Jihad.
CBS leftist Dan Raviv is only the latest in a long sordid line.

seems the only thing the vid maker did was break his parole by using different names

That's something we should all discredit his accurate film for…… not.

I believe he was also told he must not, as a condition of his parole, use a computer , and by uploading the film, he violated parole.

There is a Conspiracy Theory out there that states the filmmaker is not in fact a Coptic at all; he is a radical moslem masquerading as a Coptic so he can present himself as a martyr to free speech, while his film becomes the impetus for a global ban on free speech if it "offends" moslems being imposed on all non moslem countries. One of the main tenets of dhimmitude is being forbidden to discuss , much less criticize , islam and mohhamed.

Seems a bit far fetched, but I am not so sure I want to support this guy, until this Conspiracy Theory is completely disproven.

The is particularly interesting given Walid Shoebat's substantiated contention that the film was financed by Islamic "cultural" jihaidists with the express goal of triggering the rioters and protests. Bacili, who professed to be a Copt, actually has had terrorist connections with some pretty vile terrorists. So, who will be punished? The actual culprits, or Americans?

Talk about spitting on the sidewalk. They may have the law behind them, but this is an abuse of power.

Once again obama shows support for the muslim militants. LIke the time he slept through the attack on our embassy knowing the attack was going on. Then covering up for their barbarity while he went on a fund raising trip to Vegas.

It's becoming more and more clear who Obama is cheering on, and it's not the US.

      • amused

        Obama 's cheering ? You dumbass .

Don't blame me, I didn't vote for him.

        • XHEX

You are a complete moron who lives and breathes within obama’s bum hole. That’s the same obama who’s currently politically sodomizing this nation. There you are bent over begging for more. Idiot.

Obama has given the jihadist a significant victory on American soil.

Lets see , the film maker [we dont even know if there was one other than a 14 minute trailer] tricks his cast , directors to make a movie about an anonymous fictitious character , then dubs in his own script and names the characters according to his own agenda . Sure , it probably all is true when it comes to the depravity of Mohammed . This man himself chooses anonymity , and exposes all othersinvolved to the danger of retribution . Then he loads his film onto the internet where it obviously will go viral , but the filmaker makes sure it reaches the right people by contacting one of probably many anti-American /anti-Western tv newscasters in Egypt .The inevitable and expected result then comes to fruition 58 people are killed 4 of which are innocent Americans and one of which is our Ambassador to Libya .Several US Embassies came under siege and millions in property damaged sustained by our country . Makes one kinda wonder , whose side is this convicted felon , and Coptic Egyptian expatriot is on .

Let's see. Someone who understands about islam makes a 14 minute trailer that exposes what the roots of islam were, and the muslims go nuts. Then without saying why the movie is wrong they demand that we give up our rights to free speech.

Who's nuts? The wacky muslims that don't like the way their religion started.

And to be honest , I dont know if this man should be punished , but I also can not fathom what possibly could have been his motive . No one has been enlightened , we all know the reaction to the cartoons and the "alleged cases " of people said to have abused the Q'uran , we know that somewhere people will die , and we all know that ALL incidents are expressions of Free Speech atleast in the US . So what was the F—ing Point ? We all know that islam is the biggest P.O.S. to come down the road , we all know that muslims [most of them ] are fanatical babaric cultists who would cut a throat as soon as look at you , and we ALL knew what the reaction would be . EVERYONE knows these things . Was it truly an Expression of Free Speech ? ABSOLUTELY .Was it responsible ? Hell no ! Was it [that word you all love to use around here ] "MORAL " ? Was it " GOOD " ? Did it really serve a good purpose ? Is it a matter of " the end justifies the means " ? If so what was "the desired end " in this case ?

    • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

His motive? His family is copt from Egypt, he has every reason to want the barbarity of islam exposed.

You really aren't all that bright are you? It would be irresponsible to hide from the character of the religion that wants to destroy us.

  • amused

Oh I know ,I know , this is just more " proof " that Obama's the big ole' Bogey Man , and everything that happens is of his making , that's the expected spin around here . But I see no moral value , no informational , political ,logistic or strategic value to this whole thing . Yes it's legal , but was it rght ? What purpose did it serve ?
In doing so the man violated his parole , and I know people who got violated for an unpaid traffic ticket …oh well .

    • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

It served as a chilling reminder that if you speak up and call islam what it is, you will face scrutiny. And that it won't be nice.
