Female Israeli Sharpshooter Killed Two Egyptian Muslim Terrorists

In his splashy New York Times profile, Morsi has said that neither a woman nor a Christian can ever be president of Egypt. Meanwhile a Salafi member of the new Egyptian parliament has called for marrying 9-year-olds.

Meanwhile on the other side of the border, when some Egyptian Islamist terrorists used the generosity of Israeli soldiers thinking that they were bringing water to African migrants in order to stage an ambush, two of the three terrorists were killed by a female sharpshooter.

She related how it all began: “Suddenly we heard over the com system a female soldier yelling ‘They’re shooting at me, they’re shooting at us.’ I said the driver – ‘Take us to her as fast as you can, and while he’s driving, I’m thinking I have no idea what I’m going to see. We all had no idea what we’re going to see, really. It was the first encounter with terrorists for me and for the battalion.”

Once she realized that Cpl. Yahalomi could not be saved, “I knew we were in mortal danger,” she continued. Then S. managed to accurately hit one of the terrorists who carried powerful explosives on his person – and she prevented him from blowing up near the soldiers.

“One of the terrorists blew up right before our eyes, and parts of him were flying in every direction,” said Cpl. S., “then, after the shots started, I began to understand what was happening, where we were and from where the terrorists where shooting at us.”

After assaulting and shooting from a prone position, S. and her comrades returned to the wounded man, Matti Yelovsky, who is recovering from his injuries in Soroka hospital.

The IDF site credits her with two of the kills.

Among the soldiers in this Karakal force was a markswoman who rushed forward and struck one of the terrorists. Her actions resulted in the deaths of two of the three terrorists and the explosion of the explosive belt that one of the terrorists was wearing.

Egypt has responded with the usual fist shaking.

A member of Egypt’s Supreme Council of the Armed Forces has warned that it would “cut off the hands” of any domestic or foreign aggressor in Sinai.

The official, who refused to be named, accused Israel of attempting to provoke Egypt, and said his country’s armed forces were dealing with the matter “wisely and quietly”, the al-Masry al-Youm newspaper reported late Sunday night.

Egypt would not allow “a single inch” of Sinai to be harmed, the official added.

How does one harm a desert anyway?
