Hamas and Al Qaeda’s Racist Exploitation of African Migrants

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is a New York writer focusing on radical Islam. He is completing a book on the international challenges America faces in the 21st century.

First, Egyptian Islamists, possibly linked to Al Qaeda, carried out an attack on Israeli soldiers while they were handing out water to illegal African migrants.

On Friday, it was reported that 20-year-old IDF Corporal Natanel Yahalomi was shot and killed by terrorists in the Sinai peninsula after he and other soldiers had left a fortified position to give water to a group of migrants on the Egypt-Israel border.

There are now calls to begin treating such actions as a terror risk and that will make life worse for African migrants who are already being kidnapped and held for ransom by Islamist Bedouins in the Sinai, where they are raped, tortured and carved up for organs. (Warning: Graphic)

Desperate refugees from Sudan, Ethiopia and Eritrea put their trust in smugglers to get them across the border into Israel, but instead they are sold to the Bedouins and taken to torture camps.

A CNN documentary, A Stand in the Sinai, part of the network’s Freedom Project revealed if their relatives do not pay a ransom release fee, the women are frequently raped while the men are tortured – sometimes the abuse is played over the phone to their distraught relatives.

During the report a human aid organisation showed the team a photo of Cecile, a baby who was born in a Bedouin torture camp – her mother had been mercilessly raped by one of the men.

After the pair were released and made it to safety, her mother said that the man who fathered the young girl tortured the child, inflicting burns that reached her skull bone to force relatives to pay a ransom.

Naturally their Islamist Hamas cousins also wanted to get in on the lucrative “torturing babies and raping women for profit” business. And brought in Arab and Jewish conspirators on the Israeli side to make the cash payments work.

Police suspect the deliveries were made regularly, saying that a man living in Sinai made contact with migrant workers from Eritrea and told them members of their family, who were on their way from Egypt to Israel, had been kidnapped and were in his custody. He would have the family members speak to the migrant workers over the phone in order to substantiate his claim, and tell them that in return for releasing their relatives, the migrant workers in Israel must give large sums of money to the two men, who they must meet at Tel Aviv’s Central Bus Station.

Jerusalem police estimate that tens of thousands of shekels were secretly transferred for Hamas in this fashion.

There are several problems here. The first is that Israel, like the United States has created a magnet for migrants, and that magnet is killing both migrants and Israel while aiding terrorists.

The situation of the migrants is unfortunate, but now that Muslim terrorists have found ways to exploit them, it’s now more urgent than ever to end the flow of traffic. As long s Israel keeps allowing migrants to enter, more will keep coming and terrorist groups will keep finding ways to create horrors like these.

When you illegally enter a country, you just might get interned and deported, especially if you behave badly when you get there. It's not about race. 40 percent of all crime in southern Tel Aviv is commited by African migrants. In most of Israel, women have always been able to walk freely alone, even at night. There have been several recent rapes committed by these people. Why is it Israel's problem in the first place? In order to get to Israel from Sudan or Eritrea, you have to pass through Egypt. No one, however holds Egypt responisble for allowing these smugglers to operate and for the treatment of the refugess on Egyptian soil. If anyone is responsible for the treatment of refugess, it's the country in which they first arrive. That's standard, unless of course you're dealing with Israel. Israel is of course racist for not wanting to be flooded with illegals, while Arab countries are not taken to task for being too racist to lift a finger to help them.
