“My Son is Not Very Optimal – He is Also Very Dead”

After this elections is over, Obama’s Comedy Central quote, “If four Americans get killed, it’s not optimal” may go down as one of those gaffes that lose an election. The media, which has spent two days on “Binders of Women” won’t bring itself to say that, “It’s not Optimal” is a gaffe. But it is a real gaffe.

The mother of an American diplomat killed during a terrorist raid on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi has hit out at Barack Obama for describing the attack as ‘not optimal’, saying: ‘My son is not very optimal – he is also very dead.’

During an interview shown on Comedy Central, Obama responded to a question about his administration’s confused communication after the assault by saying: ‘If four Americans get killed, it’s not optimal.’

Speaking from her home in San Diego, Mrs Smith, 72, said: ‘It’s insensitive to say my son is not very optimal – he is also very dead. I’ve not been “optimal” since he died and the past few weeks have been pure hell.

‘There’s a lot of stupid things that have been said about my son and what happened and this is another one of them.’

‘It was a disrespectful thing to say and I don’t think it’s right. How can you say somebody being killed is not very optimal? I don’t think the President has the right idea of the English language.’

The media can naturally blame Mrs. Smith for “politicizing” Benghazi, but it won’t get them very far.

When four Americans are murdered, not die, but are murdered, by a terrorist group closely related to the other terrorist group that was providing security for the consulate, after the consulate repeatedly requested additional security and was denied, and was stripped of the security that it had… then it’s not optimal. It’s criminal.
