New Video Shows Obama Legitimizing Racist Violence

Moral equivalence is what the left does best. It deconstructs everything until nothing means anything anymore except what they want it to mean. And Obama’s 2000 MLK speech in which he revises non-violence and violence to mean rich people not paying enough taxes is a classic of the genre.
This video is not the Daily Caller video, but comes from Morgen Richmond via Patterico.
“The philosophy of nonviolence only makes sense if the powerful can be made to recognize themselves in the powerless,” Obama says, which means that non-violence is not contingent on the law or personal ethics, but on the targets of that violence demonstrating that assaulting them is not the best way of extracting loot from them.
“I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but rich people are all for nonviolence. Why wouldn’t they be? They’ve got what they want. They want to make sure people don’t take their stuff. But the principle of empathy recognizes that there are more subtle forms of violence to which we are answerable. The spirit of empathy condemns not only the use of firehoses and attack dogs to keep people down but also accountants and tax loopholes to keep people down.”
Except those aren’t forms of violence. If they are then affirmative action is also a subtle form of violence. If manipulating the system for your own benefit is a “subtle form of violence”, then Obama has been engaging in a subtle form of violence against us for some time now.
What Zero Hussein is really saying is that minority non-violence is conditional on social benefits and that the lack of such benefits is a form of racial and economic violence that justifies answering racial and economic violence.
