Obama Invites Syrian Rebel Leader Who Praised Saddam for “Terrifying the Jews” to Washington DC

Seriously guys, Obama is pro-Israel. He said that Israel has the right to defend itself, a few days before he pressured it into giving in to Hamas.

And he’s inviting Sheikh Mouaz Alkhatib of the Muslim Brotherhood, current head of the Syrian rebels, to Washington, who has expressed pro-Israel opinions in the past, such as writing that one of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein’s positive legacies was “terrifying the Jews.”

And I bet Obama would like some tips from him on that. Sheikh Mouaz Alkhatib’s website also featured claims that Jews are the “Enemies of Allah.”

Sheikh Mouaz Akkhatib got his invite a few days after the Sheikh defended Al Qaeda. Because defending Al Qaeda is what it takes to get a Washington invite these days.

“We’ve made a decision that the Syrian Opposition Coalition is now inclusive enough, is reflective and representative enough of the Syrian population, that we consider them the legitimate representative of the Syrian people in opposition to the Assad regime,” said Obama.

But it’s not inclusive enough for Sheikh Mouaz Alkhatib who thinks Obama is a spoilsport for not recognizing Al Qaeda.

“The logic under which we consider one of the parts that fights against the Assad regime as a terrorist organization is a logic one must reconsider,” Al-Khatib told reporters in Marrakesh, Morocco.

And he’s got a point. Pretending there’s a real difference between Khatib’s Muslim Brotherhood militias and the Al Qaeda militias is like pretending that there’s a substantive difference Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Boxer.

Or between Al-Khatib and Obama. Maybe Obama can get Al-Khatib to stop by a Chanukah party in DC. And then we can look forward to Al-Khatib’s takeover of Syria and his imitation of the “positive legacies” of Saddam Hussein in Syria.

Allah Akbar and a Happy New Genocide.

    Disgusting.

Those who follow the Islamist-in-Chief's Muslim Brotherhood ties understand his game plan. And piecing together the morphing of his 'red' side with his 'green' side opens up many interesting doors. In fact, to be shocked would have been the biggest surprise of all!

As such, the following commentary attested to what was shaking out, well before their Islamist swath to power became self evident – though not to the morally challenged, they are irreversibly blind – http://adinakutnicki.com/2012/08/13/coming-full-c

Back in mid August, and even before, the Islamist wind was blowing straight from the belly of the Islamic poised Mid East, right onto the doorstep of 1600 Penn Ave. And if he could get away with it, trust this blogger, he would have the Iranian Hitler over for dinner too. But that would be a bridge too far – at least for now!!

Well Allah be praised. Obama (PBUH) has the Muslim Brotherhood as white house advisors, he's armed and funded al-Qaeda, so why not invite them over for a halal dinner! /Sarc

The liberals like to say that they, "…reach out to our enemies across the battlefield to negotiate peace." Confessing to appeasement sounds exactly like that.

Worse, when you make peace with those who have not made peace with your nation, doesn't that make you by definition a traitor? Not under Doublespeak. But in reality, of course. We have an entire administration led for the first time in history by blatant traitors.

The Qur'an doesn't allow peace with any people, that want to live peaceful. It's Mohammad's way or the highway.

"The Qur'an doesn't allow peace with any people, that want to live peaceful. It's Mohammad's way or the highway."

Good point. This means explicit rejection of the Koran is a decent litmus test for starting exploratory discussions. Invites and visas inside our nation? Are they insane?

          Um, yes they are insane.

While all the "debt ceiling" domestic distraction is manufactured theater by not having a budget and is unconstitutional. The media and American people an NOT being told of all the genocide going on all over the world. 0 and the left have become experts at not showing what his other hand is doing. This is outrageous that this monster Al-Khatib is allowed into America. The photograph of him above is truly a frightening pose with his mouth open. Israel is in a terrible situation with Syria and the chemical weapons on it's boarder. It seems there will never be peace on earth again.

This isn't the type of person we should be letting in to this country. This guy is a monster.

Mr. Greenfield's sarcastic, arrogant and closed-minded discourse is typical of anyone who is not able to accept anything that is not completely pro-Israel. I boggles my mind that anyone who comes across like him would carry the title of 'Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center'. It apparently has never occurred to him that dialog between opposing factions is eminently preferable to blind fanaticism. Regardless of what Al-Khatib is or what he is being perceived as, refusing dialog with him is wrong. Considering the turmoil the Middle East finds itself in, willingness for discussion and dialog is the only way to finding solutions, not fanaticism and a closed mind. It seems to me that as long as anyone involved in that conflict has a mindset like Mr. Greenfield, no solution will ever be found.

    • wilinsky

You have a problem with Mr Greenfield's 'mindset' but not that of this creepazoid? Not completely pro-Israel? Dialog is your response to genocidal Jew-hatred? There is no one you wouldn't be willing to 'dialog' with? Yikers! I guess it is clear which side you are on.

    • Daniel Greenfield

Could we persuade you to head into Aleppo on a mission of dialogue?

    • PaulRevereNow

Greenfield is neither sarcastic, nor arrogant, nor closed-minded. Nor is this a question of not "being able to accept anything that is not completely pro-Israel." It IS a question of looking at the RESULTS of your "eminently preferable" dialog, i.e. Israel has been engaging in dialog with the Palestinians for YEARS, and what has been the RESULT? Most recently, Israel DIALOGED a cease-fire with Hamas in Gaza; which a mere TWO WEEKS later, has fallen apart. Rockets are again raining down on Israel every day. I agree that, to a point, DIALOG is eminently preferable; but we passed that point long ago.
Afterwards, DIALOG will not only not get Israel anywhere, its downright suicidal.

I'll repeat what I just wrote:

"Regardless of what Al-Khatib is or what he is being perceived as, refusing dialog with him is wrong."

Who said refusing dialog? How's this? "On your hands and knees, a-hole. You're under arrest."

"Considering the turmoil the Middle East finds itself in, willingness for discussion and dialog is the only way to finding solutions, not fanaticism and a closed mind."

The problem all along is the deception tactics used by jihadis. Lecturing us shows your ignorance or alignment with jihad.

"It seems to me that as long as anyone involved in that conflict has a mindset like Mr. Greenfield, no solution will ever be found."

Yes, now he's morally equivalent to those dedicated to destroying the West and installing a global caliphate primarily these days by deception.

      LOL

"So explain why was there an "Arab Spring" and fighting, instead of the dialog you mentioned?"

Nothing to see here. Move along. That's not jihad, that's young democracy working out differences. It's not like they believe in some fictitious god and some murdering rapist as a prophet. Come on now.

    Oh, really? But, but…
