The Government Class Got Rich Twice as Fast as the Rest of the Country

Forget “Go West, Young Man.” The new motto is go east and head right over to Washington. So long as the Chinese keep lending money and the taxman works for generous benefits, then that’s where the money will be.

Just how fat have Washington and the Beltway counties gotten? According to the latest U.S. Census data, between 2000 and 2010 the richest of the Washington, D.C., area have accrued about twice as much new wealth as those not living in or around the area.

Also, some Washington counties have gotten about twice as much new wealth as some of the other richest counties in the United States.

And those counties know which side of the government-taxpayer relationship butters their bread with black sea caviar.

In an election that often focused on debates about class warfare, President Barack Obama was favored over multimillionaire businessman Mitt Romney in eight of the nation’s 10 wealthiest counties.

And his margin of victory in all eight counties was greater than that of the national vote

It's the new oligarchy, the elitist class of looters and parasites, ruled over by a kind of Community Organizer in Chief Saul Alinsky could never have dreamed of. Although he must at some point have seen it coming.

Of course! Obama was feeding them money from the public trough! That's the only way people are ALLOWED to get rich in his world!
