Article: "So I think that the media has gotten the story completely wrong."

I disagree. The media knows exactly what they're doing - and it's not good.

Article: "I think every single agency should be cut by eight to 10 percent next year."

I disagree. Some agencies (a lot of them) should be cut 100%

I believe that it would be good for America....if....the obama administration is aloud to run free and to go wild with their policies....just so every one can see....where they're really coming from.

If that happens...the Dems will have no hope for future elections...even with their cheating the system [the dead voters].

Stop calling them marxists and socialists. They're worse. So stop calling them those names. Their own policies will speak for themselves - in time.

When the present administration's policies start to reach the average American (includes all races) ...only then, will the people see this administration for what it really is. And it's not good. But that's just my opinion - right? Time will tell.

One issue which never gets mentioned in this discussion about taxes is the increasing disparity between the salaries of corporate management and the salaries of the middle class. "A 2011 study by the CBO[16] found that the top earning 1 percent of households gained about 275% after federal taxes and income transfers over a period between 1979 and 2007, compared to a gain of just under 40% for the 60 percent in the middle of America's income distribution.[16] Other sources find that the trend has continued since then.[17]

Furthermore, increased in productivity in the last 35 years have not benefitted the middle class.

Shouldn't the erosion of the middle class be an issue for social conservatives? Or at least a party which hopes to win national elections?

I am indeed afraid for my country, Margaret. But I'm also a citizen of a Republic...and the people of this country democratically voted for the entitlement state in the last election. As much as I despise what is happening to our nation's finances, I have to accept (if not respect) the verdict of the people.

You are right in almost all of your comments, but my question to you and all people that think like you is....are you going to be sitting down and making comments on top of comments while these communists take over the country? Why are the Americans, the people of this great country, the land of the free, taking all these developments sitting down and just commenting?!This is not a movie that has a happy ending, this is the taking of our liberties! Wake up and be afraid very afraid.

Those who voted for Obama and those who praise him like Jim_C will soon find out that there is no free ride and that, sooner or later, the economy will be damaged completely by all this borrowing and spending. Sadly, they don't care about that. All they want is the free ride.

With all my respect to the excellent debate, I'd say that it misses completely the most dreadful component of the Obama's victory: Obama's voters. Exactly like our Putin's voters, they do not care at all about wise things, like economics, repatriation of corporate profits, levels of unemployment or lections on real price of Marxism. They care about free ride only, and nothing else. Of course, our Russian lumpens are riding much cheaper horses than their American brothers are, but nevertheless their attitude is generally similar. Both our countries have passed the point-of-no-return when quantity of free-riders became a qualitative threshold for the electorate as a whole. I understand that the Russian and the American reasons for accumulating that cancerous quantity of parasites are quite different, but now it's already too late to speak about the reasons, the question is "what to do with the Obama/Putin electorate"? I honestly confess that I do not know. Rostislav, Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

Congratulations to David Horowitz for having Charles Payne and Steven Moore at the conference. I have been listening to Steve Moore debate Robert Reicht on Kudlow Report for years. Steve has had the answers to the economy along with all fiscal conservatives. Charles Payne is a sterling example that the individual CAN rise themselves out of the poverty trap through optimistic self-awareness, education and free enterprise; the very things 0bama's policies are killing are what made Charles Payne thrive and excel. Sometimes, I miss Milton Friedman so I will go on you tube and watch his videos and be reminded he still lives and shows up in the minds and hearts of Steve Moore and Charles Payne and others who are fighting to have these policies enacted to save our country. We need all fiscal conservatives speaking up Now more than ever. Before the door to upward mobility and prosperity for all is lost for generations to come. I am in favor of drastic cuts. Calvin Coolidge is my favorite President, the last great President in US history. To me DC should have no jurisdiction outside of DC. The Federal Government should protect the people and the peoples property and all other duties of governing belong the the States.

Steven Moore is living in a fool's paradise. He believes in the coming "twilight of liberalism" because of the "catastrophe of Barak Obama's economy." May I remind him that Obama just won re-election by a comfortable margin while presiding over that same "catastrophe" of an economy.

I'm close to many liberals....and believe me folks, NO AMOUNT of economic pain, NO AMOUNT of rational discourse, NO AMOUNT of empirical data....will transform their political convictions. They have COMPLETELY bought into a narrative, and that narrative can be spun a thousand different ways to exculpate the President in particular and liberalism in general from ANY responsibility for the poor state of the economy.

My concern is that the Dems may have constructed a semi-permanent, demographic majority...comprised of the entitlement class, ethnic minorities, immigrants, and women....all of which - with the exception of women - are growing exponentially. They may not lose the White House again for a long time.

And when the weight of the entitlement state finally DOES bring down capitalism in America, the libs will insist that it was the inherent flaws of capitalism itself that precipitated its own collapse. It's a catch-22 of political, philosophical and intellectual corruption.
