Celebrating Flag Day: Madison Rising’s Rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner”

Today is Flag Day in the United States, a day celebrated every June 14th to commemorate the adoption of our flag. Frontpage has decided to mark this occasion by sharing the video of Madison Rising’s rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner.”

Madison Rising is a new openly conservative rock band that stresses its love of America and, in particular, its devotion to the values of liberty, independence, smaller government and personal responsibility.

The band’s self-titled debut album, Madison Rising, was released on October 17, 2011 and immediately charted in the top 100 best selling rock albums on both iTunes and Amazon.com.  Visit the band’s site at MadisonRising.com. You can read Jamie Glazov’s interview with David Bray, the band’s lead singer, at Frontpage here and listen to David’s appearance on The Jamie Glazov Show here.

We wish all of our readers a Happy Flag Day — and we hope you enjoy and are moved by Madison Rising’s rendition of The Star Spangled Banner below:

I sang the Star Spanged Banner over a campfire. People didn't realize that there was more than one stanza; ergo, they applauded prematurely: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRxcOl8G8y4

This can go to the same place as Christian Rock. I think I just puked in my mouth a little. Flat, croaky screeching by boys in dog collars. Lots of didactic ad libs. "Bray" is right. Eeeee Awwwww!

Almost all rock is pretty bad; however, it is the genre that is liked today. As this is the case, it is nice to see some patriots performing in this genre so the younger generation can be attracted to patriotic ideals.

Incidentally, since this is flag day, here is another patriotic tune I tried on youtube: The Stars and Stripes Forever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77oauAJa29w

You have very bad taste in music. Bray is simple awesome.

I love how you pitiful liberal are outnumbered like 200-1 on this tune. I love this rendition. The more you worthless Occupy-types hate it, the more I love it. Sick of your kind ruining this country. I've already wasted more breath than you're worth ….
