Islamic Slavery — on The Glazov Gang

On this week’s Glazov Gang, Nonie Darwish, Eric Allen Bell and Dr. Nancy Bonus gathered to discuss Islamic Slavery. The discussion shed light on the continuing barbaric practice of slavery in the Islamic world and its roots in Islamic theology. Below is Part II of a three part series. To see Part I, which dealt with When Egypt Fell, click here. We will run Part III in tomorrow’s edition.

this interview needs to be available to post on Facebook…. so many people might learn from it – people who otherwise would not listen to a conservative conversation. Thank you for making this information available – I pray that soon the west will wake up and save themselves…. Nonie's comment about a possible American Chechnya is truly alarming…

The word was servant, not slaves.

What muslim translation are you using?

  • Herschel Gordon

It was Christians who in the 19th century ended slavery in all Christian countries. Not one Christian country in the West currently practices slavery, while slavery is still rife in Hindu India, Atheist People's Republic of China, and the Muslim Middle East. The Muslim slave trade of native Africans was the largest and longest lasting slave trade in recorded history. There was never a Muslim or pagan John Brown.

Sounds peaceful to me. No blood shed, no putting anyone down.

No calls to violence like you have been doing all morning on other stories.

And what muslim friendly things are you going to make up next?

  • Jesusinator

    Whatever makes you feel better. Slaves= Servants do uche bag <DIV style=”FONT-FAMILY: times new roman, new york, times, serif; FONT-SIZE: 12pt”> <DIV style=”FONT-FAMILY: times new roman, new york, times, serif; FONT-SIZE: 12pt”> <DIV dir=ltr> <DIV style=”BORDER-BOTTOM: #ccc 1px solid; BORDER-LEFT: #ccc 1px solid; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; LINE-HEIGHT: 0; MARGIN: 5px 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; HEIGHT: 0px; FONT-SIZE: 0px; BORDER-TOP: #ccc 1px solid; BORDER-RIGHT: #ccc 1px solid; PADDING-TOP: 0px”></DIV>

  • Eyes_Open

Seriously? It's ok to beat servants but not slaves? Please tell me that is not what you are saying.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

No, not under the Jewish system.
Don't you know about the year of Jubilee?

  • http://www.theblaze.com Dennis Metz

so your saying that any one working today as a house maid and cleans up is actually a slave, what an idiotic thing to say

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

You don't need to ask me, go to sudan and buy them from your muslim friendly buddies. Will the two muslim guys you cozy up to in Iowa help you any with that?

  • JoJoJams

None. Because the enlightened west, AND Judeo-Christiandom GREW UP and, instead of doing "the way of the world" vis a vis slavery – which has been a human institution since the dawn of humankind, OUTLAWED it. Not enshrined it in sharia, as you barbaric muslims have. And what's up with your sophomoric "douch bag" drivel? What? Are you frickin 12 years old or something? Based on what you spout, if you're not chronologically 12, you sure as heII are mentally 12. lmao.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

So, as a hate filled bigot with a bias you pretend to be a person able to comment on this why?
You said that Matthew and John two of the disciples can't be taken seriously because they were biased, why should you be taken seriously? Just using your own standards wee wee.

And you're muslim friendly right down to calling Israel children killers.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

You have to understand the source.
It's not like he even pretends to make any sense.

  • Jesusinator

    So your saying the servants back then got paid? What an idiotic thing to say <DIV style=”FONT-FAMILY: times new roman, new york, times, serif; FONT-SIZE: 12pt”> <DIV style=”FONT-FAMILY: times new roman, new york, times, serif; FONT-SIZE: 12pt”> <DIV dir=ltr> <DIV style=”BORDER-BOTTOM: #ccc 1px solid; BORDER-LEFT: #ccc 1px solid; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; LINE-HEIGHT: 0; MARGIN: 5px 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; HEIGHT: 0px; FONT-SIZE: 0px; BORDER-TOP: #ccc 1px solid; BORDER-RIGHT: #ccc 1px solid; PADDING-TOP: 0px”></DIV>

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

Then the palestinians need to quit attacking then, don't they?

  • Looking4Sanity

We know what YOU call it…a Muslim friendly talking point.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

How about saying you're a hate filled bigot?

  • Jesusinator

Of course you would say that, that is why you and roger are bigots. Anybody who disagrees with you is using mulisum talking points. It shows your ignorance. Maybe when the flowers get there you will lighten up a bit…………………..unless you eat them. <DIV style=”FONT-FAMILY: times new roman, new york, times, serif; FONT-SIZE: 12pt”> <DIV style=”FONT-FAMILY: times new roman, new york, times, serif; FONT-SIZE: 12pt”> <DIV dir=ltr> <DIV style=”BORDER-BOTTOM: #ccc 1px solid; BORDER-LEFT: #ccc 1px solid; PADDING-BOTTOM: 0px; LINE-HEIGHT: 0; MARGIN: 5px 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 0px; PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; HEIGHT: 0px; FONT-SIZE: 0px; BORDER-TOP: #ccc 1px solid; BORDER-RIGHT: #ccc 1px solid; PADDING-TOP: 0px”></DIV>

  • Ricky Michael

Flowers? What???? Has he lost his marble? What in the heck is he talking about?

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

Why don't we have an intelligent conversation, shall wee?

Which people were all right to kill to pagan gods and rip their beating hearts out of their chests? http://www.pointsouthmexico.com/Ajijic-and-Lake-C

When you want to discuss people being mean, let's make it clear which culture was really, really mean. And it's all the places that have pyramids and worshipped pagan gods. The child sacrifices? Is that all right too?

  • Eyes_Open

"Is that all right too?" No, and I've never know of anyone to adhere to any such religion.

Now, why don't we try to stay on topic, shall we?

Were you, or were you not, saying that it is ok to beat servants but not slaves? And if so, why?

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

I am. When you talk about a Christian past I'm not part of, I'll go back and point to the history of paganism.

Fair is fair. Want to keep playing that game?

  • Eyes_Open

I asked a simple question, can you not answer it?

And if you want to review the history of my religion you should at least get the right continent. Preferably the right religion, but I know that is asking too much of some one like you. Odd how you are always insisting that you are only required to follow half of the book you hold as holy, but you think that my religion is descendant of All the different pagan religions around the world. Just shows the narrow scope of your bigoted mind.

Now, how about answering the question.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

I pointed out some simple and well known facts and you couldn't handle it.

You pagans are all the same, aren't you?

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

    My my wee wee.
Aren't you the small little man.

  • Eyes_Open

We are just as much alike as all you monotheist. Chopped many heads off lately? That isn't history for you monotheist, it is modern fact.

You still haven't answered the original question. What's the matter? Afraid that if you answer you will be proving what a barbaric religion you belong to?

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

You silly human sacrificing pagan you!

My monotheistic religion has a three part Godhead.

So, how monotheistic is it by your definition?

What question? I didn't see any legit question.

  • Eyes_Open

Hey, you are the ones to claim to worship one god. Don't blame me if you're confused or can't count.

Were you, or were you not, saying that it is ok to beat servants but not slaves? And if so, why?

Simple to scroll up and read it again. Well simple for me, it obviously was a little over your head.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

    Quote me.

You're just another hate filled bigot like wee wee. Only from another troll approved angle. And the blood thirsty pagan religions were what they were.

  • Eyes_Open

WTE "In the following parable, Jesus clearly approves of beating slaves even if they didn't know they were doing anything wrong.

The servant will be severely punished, for though he knew his duty, he refused to do it. "But people who are not aware that they are doing wrong will be punished only lightly. Much is required from those to whom much is given, and much more is required from those to whom much more is given." (Luke 12:47-48 NLT) "

You "The word was servant, not slaves."

You didn't denounce the beating, you just wanted to make sure it was a servant and not a slave. Were you, or were you not, saying that it is ok to beat servants but not slaves? And if so, why?

"blood thirsty pagan religions were what they were." True, but my religion didn't come from any of those that you seem to love so much so the theme doesn't apply.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

And where did Jesus ever own a slave or beat anyone?

Even when he drove the money changers out of the temple there is no mention of the whip harming anyone.

  • Ricky Michael

Clearly this is referencing something that happens after death and not talking about literal slaves. That what makes it a parable, using real life examples to illustrate spiritual concepts.

  • Eyes_Open

Such a simple question, but you refuse to answer it. You continue to deflect and try to change the subject. A statement was made, you replied, implying that you has no problem with Christians beating their servants as the verse from the bible instructs.

Yes or no, is this what you meant?

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

You just made a simple statement that you want me to like servants being beaten. Is that yes or no?

  • Ricky Michael

It was Ok for christians to own slaves, but they were to be treated kindly. See Philemon. Paul admonishes Philemon to accept Onesimus back as a better servant.

Tthe mistreatment of anyone, slaves included in not a Biblical prinicipal.

I can't let this one go, it's soo off base.

  • Eyes_Open

You are too dense or too subversive to give a straight answer. Admit you have no answer, plead the fifth and avoid self incrimination, whatever. You have failed.

I have given you everything you asked for and you still can't find a way out without admitting you are wrong, which is something you absolutely cannot do.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLNn2YflwNs Roger

So you won't give me a simple answer and are struggling to distract from that?

  • Jesusinator

The bible supports the practice of buying and selling of other humans as private property. Christians themselves were active participants in the slave trade for 1500 years. American Christians were the worst of the lot with abolitionists being referred to as infidels and accused of blasphemy for speaking/writing against the practice of slavery. The fact of the matter is that most of our advances as a society began not in the pews or the pulpits. They began in the streets and each one was bitterly opposed by those in the pews and on the pulpits. Many, such as women’s rights, are still bitterly opposed by them. Christians would be happy for us all to forget the sheer evilness that is Christian history, but I for one refuse to do so.

  • Jesusinator

The churches themselves owned slaves and often sold them to raise funds for spreading Christianity. Frederick Douglass, the African-American abolitionist and former slave, put it this way in his self-written biography:“The church and the slave prison stand next to each other; the groans and cries of the heartbroken slave are often drowned in the pious devotions of his religious master. The church-going bell and the auctionee bell chime in with each other; the pulpit and the auctioneerss block stand in the same neighbourhood; while the blood-stained gold goes to support the pulpit covers the infernal business with the garb of Christianity. We have men sold to build churches, women sold to support missionaries, and babies sold to buy Bibles and communion services for the churches.
