Clinton’s Jihad Ignorance

Pages: 1 2

Bill Clinton recently demonstrated the tenacity of those liberal/leftist/materialist paradigms that have all but blinded the West to reality. According to the Associated Press:

Former U.S. President [and current spouse of the U.S. Secretary of State] Bill Clinton warned Monday that the rampant poverty that plagues oil-rich Nigeria—felt most acutely in its Muslim north—is fueling the religious violence now tearing at the nation. A radical Islamist sect known as Boko Haram claimed Monday it killed 12 soldiers and beheaded three government informants in its bloody wave of sectarian violence against Nigeria’s weak central government [the report later adds that Boko Haram has so far killed 286 people this year alone, that is, in just the last six weeks]. While Clinton never named the sect in a speech Monday night in Nigeria’s commercial capital Lagos, he admitted he remained “really worried” about the security challenges in Africa’s most populous nation.”You can’t just have this level of inequality persist. That’s what’s fueling all this stuff,” said Clinton… New government statistics released Monday showed that in Nigeria’s northwest and northeast, regions besieged by Islamic insurgents, about 75 percent of the people live in poverty [emphasis added].

The remainder of the article tells of how “analysts” agree with the poverty-fuels-jihad thesis, and how “Clinton called for Nigerians to embrace their similarities,” arguing that “It is almost impossible to cure a problem based on violence with violence.”

Thus, Clinton, analysts—even the New York Times—all offer a perfectly palatable reason for the violence plaguing Nigeria, one that accords well with the materialist worldview, and one that, as usual, defies reality. Consider some simple facts:

First, Islamists of the north, led by Boko Haram, began their violent jihad in earnest, not because they realized they were financially impoverished, but because a Christian won what was described as Nigeria’s freest and fairest elections. After all, as Islamic law clearly teaches, a non-Muslim is not permitted to govern Muslims—not because he is bad for the economy, but because he is an infidel.

Clinton's comments are spot on! clivk here to get more information about Nigeria

No, he is totally off. How can you explain the recent underwear bomber conviction when his father is one of the richest men in Nigeria.

Ibrahim is spot on. Chaos has often followed after ME elections and a nonMuslim wins.

"Clinton warned Monday that the rampant poverty that plagues oil-rich Nigeria—felt most acutely in its Muslim north—is fueling the religious violence"

The clinton's are a very old warn-out broken record when it comes to blaming violence on poverty – which I have always said – is a slap in the face to the real poor who have, and never will, carry out violence.

It's in the teachings – and the clintons know it – thereby making them culprits to the spreading of the violence.

Old Chinese proverb that goes something like this: "Give me your child for the first five years of his life – and I'll make him mine forever."

Teach a child that it is his duty to murder all who don't believe the same as he does – and chances are good – that is what he'll do when he is older – especially when he is taught that such an act is 'sacred'.

The clintons are products of Harvard? I believe? (way to go harvard!)

yeah blame the poor people. that is exactly what the rich and powerful, the political and religious leadership prefer to do. it deflects them from the responsibility and accountability and covers their own asses and tracks.
but its the politcal and religious leadership who get countries into wars and conflicts and finance then arm both sides.
the poor are just stupid enough to believe their tripe, which is also what the rich and the powerful people want.

I don't believe either Clinton really believes the crud they say about poverty causing terrorism or jihad. They say what they say simply because it advances their agenda. What's their agenda? They said that also, its economic equality for all, not just equal opportunity, but equal results. Ah yes, the dream of communism, state control and government provided everything. Who recently mentioned the fact that we can't even trust the government to deliver mail efficiently and the Clinton's want total government? Dennis the Menace would say, jeepers Mr. Wilson how many times do people need to have their noses pushed into the dirt of failed commie states?

Eight years of a fool and many years more of a fool's wife.

It all 'collects' itself into the mess we have today. Lord be with us.

It aint nuffink to do wiv poverty. The cause is the Quran, Sunnah, Sharia and Sirah, the non-existent Allah and a certain delusional self-proclaimed 'Prophet'.

president bubba, the one who gave us the united states military aiding and abetting the cleansing of bosnia and kosovo of its christian inhabitants, who had been plagued by, murdered, persecuted, robbed, and enslaved by their peaceful muslim invaders for over 5 centuries. bubba ended the bloodshed by killing the victims.

"the one who gave us the united states military aiding and abetting the cleansing of bosnia and kosovo of its christian inhabitants"

      Well Said! Great point!

Ahhh…. yes.. Bill Clinton, the lip biting rapist of Juanita Broderick. Bill Clinton's comments on Nigeria – high IQ my A$$ – just another dumb Bubba from Arkansas. The only reason William Jefferson Clinton ever got to the Whitehouse in the first place was because of the little egomanic with a crewcut, Ross Perot who said in 1992, of Clinton: "I wouldn't hire him as the assistant dishwasher on the third shift in a greasy spoon joint in the worst part of town." But Perot managed to take close to 23% of the Bush "No New Taxes" protest vote so this redneck Bubba clown from Arkansas could have his daily hand-party spanking his monkey (documented under oath) in the oval office sink.

Since you insist on calling them Islamists, why don't you just call them radical Muslims instead since that is what you imply. That these Muslims aren't normal mainstream orthodox Muslims but instead an obscure radical and violent strain of misunderstanders of Islam that is non-representative of the peaceful religion of Islam and what it advocates. Indeed, I'm glad we don't have any of those bad boys living over here in America. Yeah right.

After all, we must protect those few and far between Muslim dissidents at all cost, because who knows, they may accomplish the impossible and reform Islam one day, even if it means the West becoming subsumed by Islam in the meantime. It's better for Americans to stay dumbed down and ill informed, instead of endangering the lives of those far and few between Muslim dissidents trapped living in those draconian Islamic totalitarian hellholes, and never mind the fact that they aren't really Muslims at all, but instead blasphemous apostates that per the dictates of oops – MAINSTREAM ORTHODOX ISLAM – must be executed.

Meanwhile, we must never ever question the legitimacy of Zuhdi Jasser, because he really is a so-called moderate Muslim and Muslim reformer with no followers instead of a covert non-violent jihadist duping the pants off of people that should know better but conveniently don't.

    • Mark

Another idiotic, random rant. And Zuhdi? Sigh…

      • Beth

Hey Mark – Here's a 'rant' for ya:

There are no New Testament Scriptures that teach humans to be violent with each other. Not one!

        Taught in (your?) koran:

        Mass Murder……………………………009.005 – 033.061
        Gang Rape………………………………033.052
        Telling lies to non-muslims………….003.028
        Cutting off hands and feet…………..005.033

If you defend murderous teachings – you're a murderer. Period.

    • Beth

"Since you insist on calling them Islamists, why don't you just call them radical Muslims"

Thank you for the reminder (you are spot on)

Everyone knows what "radical muslims" are. They're murderers – who carry out the commands of their koran, unlike the so-called 'moderate muslims' who, in reality – according to their own koran – are apostates.

Duh, The West and the politicians needs to read up on Taqiyya and Deception to Dupe the enemy!

  • RiverOne

Raymond is spot on about the reason for violence in Nigeria. The PRESS TODAY has a script they follow. Until Mr. Clinton takes a trip to northern Nigeria and can see the graves of those Christians that were hacked with machetes at night, he is suspect of spouting his handlers propaganda. I know some folks that traveled from the U.S. to northern Nigeria for medical/humanitarian purposes. What they saw shocked them. CNN and other media outlets called it "sectarian violence". Hmmm, did you see ANY mosques burned down or attendees killed? Nope. Clinton conveniently ignores that Boko Haram is calling for nation-wide Islamic law. Enough of these educated fools. There will be no peace without deterrence that is respected.

  • JB Canada

Another American politican or just a politican on the muslim payroll, either directly or indirectly.

18,000 muslim attacks all because they cannot buy cell phones and BMWs.

The day after 9/11 Shimon Peres said that muslim anger is all about the lack of water.

I have been to South America many times and weep over the poverty I always see. Yet they are not using their children as suicide killers. They are poor and lack everything but a heart and a soul. Arab countries have everything xcept hearts and souls.

The shocking reality of this Nigerian mess is the fact that Boko Haram is totally closing the door on investment. The whole country is poor except for a few elites, but the christians are better educated and informed to deal with the situation. The muslim north have the highest prevalence of diseases, and are highly dependent on foreign aid. They have instituted sharia in most states there which has drained the possibility of meaningful investment by rich christians while the northern elites are fighting for greater government handouts without contributing anything to the GDP of the country
