It’s Hatred and Violence in the Qur’an Awareness Month!

Have you done your shopping yet? It’s Hatred and Violence in the Qur’an Awareness Month — what better time to buy a bomb vest for the mujahid you love?

Inspired by a remark from Pat Condell in this video, I have proclaimed December to be Hatred and Violence in the Qur’an Awareness Month. After all, November was Islamophobia Awareness Month, and certainly the hatred and violence in the Qur’an kills many, many more people than “Islamophobia” ever has or ever will, and so it is far more deserving than “Islamophobia” of a month of its own.

We kicked off yesterday with a bit of hate from the Fatihah, and now here is more from Surat al-Baqara, the chapter of the cow, the second chapter of the Qur’an:

As for the unbelievers, alike it is to them whether thou hast warned them or hast not warned them, they do not believe. God has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a covering, and there awaits them a mighty chastisement. And some men there are who say, ‘We believe in God and the Last Day'; but they are not believers. They would trick God and the believers, and only themselves they deceive, and they are not aware. In their hearts is a sickness, and God has increased their sickness, and there awaits them a painful chastisement for that they have cried lies. When it is said to them, ‘Do not corruption in the land’, they say, ‘We are only ones that put things right.’

Truly, they are the workers of corruption but they are not aware. When it is said to them, ‘Believe as the people believe’, they say, ‘Shall we believe, as fools believe?’ Truly, they are the foolish ones, but they do not know. When they meet those who believe, they say, ‘We believe'; but when they go privily to their Satans, they say, ‘We are with you; we were only mocking.’ God shall mock them, and shall lead them on blindly wandering in their insolence.

Those are they that have bought error at the price of guidance, and their commerce has not profited them, and they are not right-guided. The likeness of them is as the likeness of a man who kindled a fire, and when it lit all about him God took away their light, and left them in darkness unseeing, deaf, dumb, blind — so they shall not return; or as a cloudburst out of heaven in which is darkness, and thunder, and lightning — they put their fingers in their ears against the thunderclaps, fearful of death; and God encompasses the unbelievers; the lightning wellnigh snatches away their sight; whensoever it gives them light, they walk in it, and when the darkness is over them, they halt; had God willed, He would have taken away their hearing and their sight. Truly, God is powerful over everything.

O you men, serve your Lord Who created you, and those that were before you; haply so you will be godfearing; who assigned to you the earth for a couch, and heaven for an edifice, and sent down out of heaven water, wherewith He brought forth fruits for your provision; so set not up compeers to God wittingly. And if you are in doubt concerning that We have sent down on Our servant, then bring a sura like it, and call your witnesses, apart from God, if you are truthful. And if you do not — and you will not — then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for unbelievers. (2:6-24)

This is an extended disquisition on the perversity of those who reject belief in Allah, tending to inculcate in the believer hatred and contempt for those who don’t believe. It asserts Allah’s absolute control over everything, even the choices of individual souls to believe in him or reject him: “As for the unbelievers, alike it is to them whether thou hast warned them or hast not warned them, they do not believe. God has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a covering, and there awaits them a mighty chastisement” (vv. 6-7). The Qadaris of early Islamic history held that mankind had free will, and was thus capable of choosing to do good or evil. Their opponents maintained that Allah determined everything. While both sides had abundant Qur’anic citations to support their views, eventually Muslim authorities condemned Qadarism as a heresy, as it restricted Allah’s absolute sovereignty over all things. Thus those who reject faith do so because Allah wills it, as per these verses, not because they have free choice. Says the Qur’an commentator Ibn Kathir: “These Ayat [verses] indicate that whomever Allah has written to be miserable, they shall never find anyone to guide them to happiness, and whomever Allah directs to misguidance, he shall never find anyone to guide him.” (A good brief overview of the Qadari controversy can be found in the renowned Islamic scholar Ignaz Goldziher’s Introduction to Islamic Theology and Law.)

Then comes a condemnation of hypocrites and false believers, who frequently bedeviled Muhammad during his career as a prophet. And finally there is the assertion of the sublimity of the Qur’an, such that doubters are challenged to produce a sura like it if they refuse to believe its divine provenance. Note that the challenge is framed as exposing that the unbelievers are lying: “if you be truthful” (v. 23).

So we have in this passage the ideas that Allah prevents the unbelievers from believing, and that they plot with demons against the believers (v. 14), and that they’re lying when they reject the Qur’an. Nor is there any counterbalancing passage enjoining believers to, say, love their enemies.

Robert, please add to your arsenal the following policy paper by Professor Paul Eidelberg, 'Islam and Blood' –…. and the public will be all the more informed. Sort of like a double barreled shotgun against Islam and its 'peaceful' tenets!

The terror guide (koran) of the gutter cult (islam) doesn't need a special "month". In order to survive, it's ALWAYS hatred and violence awareness month, as it's ALWAYS a hateful and violent terror guide.

  • Tabris

The Koran is discriminatory book full of hate speech towards non-believers.

What would be the problem to put this book on trial and get it forbidden in the USA?

It would not be very difficult to prove that this book incites violence and is therefore a danger to society or even a terror threat by itself, or..?

  • Zain7

Do yourselves a favour and read the Quran and stop listening and reading such gibberish as this. The Quran is no different to the Bible or the Torah. Suggest you read this site and enlighten yourselves or perhaps go and read the Quran for yourselves. Stop listening to preachers and read for yourselves:

Adina Kutnicki wrote: "It is nigh impossible, indeed a herculean effort, to convince indoctrinated true believers"

It is impossible for true believers to consider the Facts and based on these Facts review the so called "Truth" of their religion.

People with FREE MINDS always question the so called "Truth" in the world.

The battle between Islam and the West is merely a battle between freedom and control. In order to control people, they need to believe in the so called "Truth". What can be a better control mechanism than convincing the people that this "Truth" (lies) are from Allah himself?

Unfortunately for you Zain7, you have already accepted one of the lies. This lie is that "the Koran is no different than the bible or the Torah".

I challenge you to open up your mind, stop listening to your Mullahs and read specifically the new testament . You might get really "Enlightened", enlightened in the way Jesus meant it.

For you information Jesus himself was a free thinker that rebelled against the controlling Pharisees.

I agree in that some very 15th century English words were used; "thou hast warned them or hast not warned them". This is language from the Jacobean era of the 1600's King James of England. This alone is reasonable rejection of the above interpretation, as being an inaccurate translation from Arabic to English in quotation. Your challenge that persons should read for themselves first and not simply follow a belief is well taken. I would add, make sure to obtain a modern, accurate language translation which does not quote as if copying the dead language style of a 16th century England.

        Dog poop…..pig poop….matters not. It's poop.

    • ratonis

I have read it. It is an appallingly boring, hate-filled, and violent text.

    • kafir4life

I've read it, muslim. As I turned each page, it turned into a square of toilet paper…..pre-pooped!!! An islamic miracle!! praise allah the moon god!! Fooled ya! It didn't have to turn into toilet paper…..It was already there!!

      allahu snackbar!!

      • Mary Sue

It's no coincidence that the crescent moon became a popular "window" to outhouses in the 19th century. ;)

        • kafir4life

No. It's NOT a coincidence. Remember the "outrage" over the comc strip BC a few years ago when they showed that most perfect use of the crescent moon that's indicitive of the meaning of islam in one of the panels, when the door was shut loudly with a SLAM, and was "framed" to look likeit's contained in the letter "I". The muppets went (further) insane! See for yourself. Check the archives for 11/10/2003.

    • Mary Sue

It is too different from the Bible and the Torah! There is no Love from Allah! Allah cannot love! Allah admits he lies and deceives people! (gee I wonder why that is? could it be that allah is a SOCIOPATH?)

The Bible says do good to those that hate you. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. The Koran has NONE of that.

      • US Muslim

Have you even read the Qur'an? I have…many times over. It seems like you know as much about the Qur'an as you do about the Bible…little to nothing.

I have been schooled in the Bible. I have studied the Qur'an. You are either a liar or an ignoramus…or both.

        • kafir4life

US muslim. The koran is actually a terror guide. It was SHAT from the anal orrifice of the pig that muslims consider the "perfect man". He's neither.

      • zain7

Mary Sue, By the way for your information Allah is GOD my dear. There is only one GOD. we believe in Muhammed as the prophet, Jesus as a prophet, Moses as a Prophet. We are taught about David, Goliath, Joseph, Abraham. The difference between a christian and a muslim is that we believe Jesus is a prophet and you believe he is the son of God.
We believe that Jesus will come back as do you. there is not much difference betwwen Judaism, Christianity or Islam. dont listen to what people tell you and close your eyes, read for yourself. as a Christian you should preach tolerance and understanding

    • intrcptr2

Clearly, you've not read the Bible; you might have known that Torah is a part of the Bible otherwise.

      More's the pity for you…

      • Zain7

Torah part of the Bible? ehem… wow so Jesus came before Moses? who are you kidding?
I hope you read the parable in the bible of the farmer who sowed his land and planted seeds. I pity that you are the seeds that have been sown that will never blossom into just a weed and wither away.

        Peace on you all.

        • JoJoJams

Zain….Zain — and you say you've read the bible! lmao! The torah is the "old testament" and the "new testament" comprises the rest of the bible. How you interpret that in to "wow so Jesus came before Moses? who are you kidding" I cannot begin to fathom – other than that you are one brainwashed muslim. And technically, by Christian doctrine of Jesus being one of three in the trinity, and part of the "let US make man in OUR image" speaker of Genesis, Jesus DID come before Moses, as he was here at the creation of everything. His advent on earth in the human persona of Jesus was after Moses, of course, but none of that has anything to do with your "Torah part of the Bible?", and not understanding that, yes, it IS "part of the bible".

          • zain7

Who ever said Jesus came before Moses? let me list you the who came first. Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Muhammed. Judaism, Christianity, Islam.

        • JoJoJams

Now, Zain, go an also read your surahs and hadiths as to the example in words and deeds of you "perfect man" (crazy azz mohammed) and see what evil that pig did and condones. Like child marriages, slavery and saying that the inhabitants of hell are mostly woman, because woman are too stupid etc. Look it up. It's YOU that doesn't know about islam. If you converted – -you're one sick, misled fool.

          • zain7

Jojojams judging by your name.. well, i wont even take you seriously. May God Forgive you

  • curmudgeon

here is a challenge for muslims: let allah do the killing. yes. if us evil infidels must die, then take a year off from your muslim blood rites, and let allah do his own killing for a year. after a year, if all of us evil infidels are not dead, then obviously allah, the merciful, does not want us dead. so then join the human race, and stop murdering everyone. did it ever occur to you that your desert psychopath, peace be upon him, might have been lying to you, as he advised you to lie to everyone else? perhaps you got the wrong message about allah. perhaps allah is not the murdering monster you make him out to be. even aisha, the poor girl the sociopath raped, was able to notice that allah always commanded what the pilfering prophet wanted to do. convenient? or was the murdering messiah just making it up?

    • Mary Sue

they're too purple-koolaided to use critical thinking and logic in that manner, unfortunately. They've basically been taught that if they think critically, they go to hell. Hell, they practically believe that if they sneeze the wrong way they'll go to hell.

Hell, the only sure way to avoid Hell is to kill a Kaffir. That's the major problem right there.

  • myrmecia

There must be a version of the koran written in contemporary English. It's a pity you have chosen a version that sounds as archaic as the KJV of the Christian bible.

    • JoJoJams

No matter, it's still a bunch of drivel by a psychopath who like young woman, owned slaves and thought women are so stupid that it takes two women's testimony to equal a mans.

  • LindaRivera

Founder of Islam, Mohammed: “I have been made victorious with terror”, “Wage war on the infidel and kill them until Islam is dominant” (Koran 8:39)

Every Western government has a moral responsibility to WARN their nations that the Quran commands Muslims to wage jihad against non-Muslims and conquer our nations.

  • victor

The quran is nothing more than a compilation of hateful and vengeful verses, urging humans to kill other humans. I do not know of any other religion which propagates this garbage. Other religions may believe in their own beliefs, which practices the " live and let live" mentality, but I don't know of any which encourages hatred and the killing of others simply on the basis of not believing what they believe.

    • Tabris

The facts that you state above about the Koran are exactly the reasons why this book needs to be put on trial.

  • Non-believer

The believers should suicide and go to see Alaj.

  • Joshua Neal

The Koran has innumerable verses that talk about making war on the infidels and subjugating them and killing them. But instead of quoting those, Robert Spencer chose to attack the Koran because of the doctrine of predestination. Apparently he is completely unaware that the doctrine is held also by many Christians–they're called Calvinists, and they're not exactly an obscure sect. And their belief is not made up but based on Romans 9:16-23. And if anyone thinks I'M making this all up, here's what Friedrich Nietzche said about it: "Paul thought up the idea, and Calvin re-thought it, that for innumerable people damnation has been decreed from eternity, and that this beautiful world plan was instituted to reveal the glory of God: heaven and hell and humanity are thus supposed to exist–to satisfy the vanity of God! What cruel and insatiable vanity must have flared in the soul of the man who thought this up first, or second. Paul has remained Saul after all–the persecutor of God."

  • johan

I wish we could get a government that could stop the Muslim warriors from coming here. Our country will turn into a hatred army of islamiacs. After so many centuries of fine living in freedom, it will be all lost.

    • Zain7

How about you stop your government from invading our land in the name of "humanity" while blsting phosphorous on children and women. When you leave our land and stop referring to human beings as "collateral damage" because you don't identify them as human beings then brother, "warriors" lol as you put it would never come to your land which is not the land of the free and neither a democracy but a republic that preaches to the world with total disregard what they themselves cannot practice what they preach. As for your land, it is by far not your land but the native indigenous Natives land that you murdered and maimed.

      • Drakken

Your living proof that the only good muslim is a dead muslim.

      • JoJoJams

Zain – tell your drivel to my Hindu Indian friends – who know what it's like to be massacred by the tens of millions from invading islamic hordes hellbent (apt word) on converting by the sword. **throws mud back at the ignorant muzzie** Islam is hell on earth – and every "islamic republic of blah blah blah" shows this by the absolute ignorance and poverty of its people. ISLAM is the problem and FREEDOM is the answer – NOT "submission"….

  • Zain7

Chow, and yes I can think for myself.

    • JoJoJams

If you could actually think for yourself, you wouldn't be a muslim…..

  • @HPHinklehoff

Jimminy, I see a lot more hate in this article and these comments then I do in the Qur'an or have ever heard from any of my Muslim friends. I'm just saying..
