Iran will build a force of nuclear weapons and they will use them, they see these weapons as a path to victory not to stalemate. The problem for Israel is that they do not have the military muscle to destroy the program and prevent it from being reinstated. They could cause a delay but at the cost of making certain what is now speculative; a general Israel/Iran war, a war that Israel would probably lose. Israel's only viable military option is a nuclear first strike, that is; totally destroy Iran. I believe that Israel is not Iran's primary target, Saudi Arabia is. It seems that Saudi Arabia has hedged it's defense bets by procuring Chinese intermediate range missiles and perhaps Pakistani nuclear warheads. There is a nuclear war coming folks and our primary aim should be to keep out of it.

Bombing Syria is an extension of what happened in Egypt and LIbya. There are few benefits from this action, but many potential drawbacks. The Brits don't want to get on board because of the politics and ego of President Obama, that should be a clear signal that what is happening is advancing an agenda, not about humanitarian aid. So what shall be the ramifications from such actions, more destabilization and violence in the MIddle East, Sucking Israel into the Conflict!

Bombing Iran back to the stone-age is the one mechanism to stop its nuke program....and we all know that will never happen. Pin-point strikes might delay it, but the human/technical schematic is already fully developed. Iran has the capacity to go nuclear any time they want. They're just waiting for the propitious political moment.

I'm looking a decade ahead, to when the Saudis, the Egyptians, to when everybody and their mother has nuclear weapons in development (including non-state actors like Hezbollah). Let's face it folks, the Cold War-era non-proliferation regimen is on its death-bed. Iran being a signatory and ignoring its provisions is the coup de grace.

It's a brave new world.

Sanctions have hurt the Iranian Rial, and tighter sanctions will hurt the Rial even more. But the Centrifuges will keep spinning, with newer, better ones being added. A plutonium creating Reactor is being constructed for another route to the Nbomb. The Ayatollah Khamenei will not let economic pressure divert Iran's drive to the bomb. Right now our leadership from President Obama down is the least competent leadership we have ever had. I would not trust Obama, Kerry, Hagel, Clapper, or Brennan to make the correct decisions. Plus, we have lost our two best generals - Petraeus, and McChrystal. It is difficult to imagine how we will stop the Iranian Nbomb program. Yet! It is essential that I be stopped! Failure to stop it is not an option.
