The Pentagon’s top leaders testified Thursday that they favored supplying weapons to rebels engaged in a civil war with the Syrian government, something the White House has resolutely opposed.

Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta and Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, made only a brief mention of their stance on Syria during a hearing called by the Senate Armed Services Committee to investigate the attacks on the U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya, last year.

A look at the Syrian uprising nearly two years later. Thousands of Syrians have died and President Bashar al-Assad remains in power, despite numerous calls by the international community for him to step down.

Timeline: Major events in the country’s tumultuous uprising that began in March 2011.

At the tail end of a line of questioning about Benghazi, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) asked Panetta and Dempsey whether they supported a plan that the lawmaker said was proposed last summer by then-CIA Director David H. Petraeus — and supported by the State Department — “that we provide weapons to the resistance in Syria.”

“We do,” Panetta said.

“You did support that?” McCain asked again.

“We did,” added Dempsey, who was sitting next to Panetta. Neither Dempsey nor Panetta elaborated further.

I saw the "Double Standards" cartoon recently. Their attempt at using manga-style cartoon characters was cute but DIDN'T address the real issues. The reason that Islam isn't looked upon with too much favor in this country is because of the myriad incidents of violence perpetrated by Muslims. Honor killings,beheadings,9/11,etc,earned Islam the scrutiny it gets and deserves. Maybe when Muslims begin ACTUALLY condemning terrorism by their own adherents and doing so in a believable manner and stop blaming everyone else for their problems can they truly gain some acceptance. Right now,it's impossible.

Of course, the Islamo Fascist humanity-haters support the Syrian rebels. The U.S. backed Syrian rebels specifically target Syria's Christians for violent attacks and murders.

After reading about muslims in America, I've come to the conclusion that it's best to avoid them. Don't shop in their stores. Don't shop in stores that hire them, and politely inform management that it's a safety issue (just like you can't tell if a dog is rabid by looking at him, there's no way to tell if a particular muslim is a splodeydope). Don't hire them. Explain to them in job interviews that you practice "bacon prayers" five times a day, and altho' not required to participate, make them aware that things may smell rather "bacony" in the office by noon-day prayers, and that it's a company policy based on YOUR made up religion. YOUR made up religion desrves the same respect as THEIR made up religion. Have them sign a statement of understanding that altho' they don't have to participate in bacon related activities, that they acknowledge that they know these activities may be performed on company property, as required by the most holy "Bacon Guide".

Wanna understand the maze-like ways of the hydra's jihadi-groups, as they align with this one and that one? It is head spinning.

Islamist groups fight for hegemony, but align when necessary. American Islamists are Muslim Brotherhood Mafia adherents, and the Syrian " rebels" are part and parcel of its off shoot, Al Qaeda & others. Trying to figure out the ins and outs is akin to deconstructing the differences between Crips and Bloods. There is none. Both are stone cold killers, each vying for control.

In this regard, here's a primer - http://adinakutnicki.com/2012/11/25/the-coming-en...

Don't waste your time trying to figure out their jihadi alliances. Just know, they aim to DESTROY the west, and this IS their plan - http://adinakutnicki.com/2012/07/25/the-muslim-ma....
