Alec Baldwin Goes Anti-Gay

baldThirty years ago, famed TV cook Paula Deen reportedly used the n-word. This came out in a court filing by Lisa Jackson, a former employee who alleged that Deen had made racially insensitive remarks in her presence. In her deposition, Deen told lawyers that she had used the n-word once “when a black man burst into the bank that I was working at and put a gun to my had. I didn’t feel real favorable towards him.” She said she may have used the word since, but only when repeating conversations between blacks who had used the word.

The result: Deen’s career is in flames. Her publisher released a statement saying that her new cookbook would be canceled, despite the fact that in the aftermath of the controversy, it had shot up to #1 on The Food Network announced that Deen’s show would not be renewed when her contract ended. Smithfield, a pork producer, said they would terminate their partnership with Deen, since “it is important that our values and those of our spokespeople are properly aligned.” That alone will cost Deen at least $1 million. Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, Novo Nordisk, Ceasers Entertainment, and QVC also ended or suspended their relationships with Deen.

For using a racial slur thirty years ago.

Too bad she’s not a  liberal. If she were, she wouldn’t have lost a single deal. That’s no exaggeration – that’s a fact. How else to explain why Alec Baldwin, who recently sent out a string of anti-gay tweets, has not received blowback from a single advertiser?

Earlier this week, a British journalist, George Stark, wrote a piece about how Baldwin’s wife Hilaria had tweeted recipes during the funeral of James Gandolfini. Baldwin didn’t like that article. He didn’t like it at all. So in a series of tweets, he fired back, redneck style: “Someone wrote that my wife was tweeting at a funeral. Hey. That’s not true. But I’m gonna tweet at your funeral. George Stark, you lying little b—-. I am gonna f%#@ you up. I want all of my followers and beyond to straighten out this f—ing little b—-, George Stark. My wife and I attend a funeral to pay our respects to an old friend, and some toxic Brit writes this f—ing trash. If put my foot up your f—ing ass, George Stark, but I’m sure you’d dig it too much. I’m gonna find you, George Stark, you toxic little queen, and I’m gonna f—…you…up.”

For this anti-gay rant – and yes, the words “toxic little queen,” the repeated use of the word “bitch,” and the implication that a gay man would enjoy a “foot up his f—ing ass” are anti-gay – the penalties have been zilch. Something said today, not 30 years ago. In fact, the media went into full spin mode to cover up the actual content on the tweets. The Today Show on NBC covered the tweets, but edited the anti-gay material out. Actually, Matt Lauer sided with Baldwin. CNN buried the anti-gay content, too.

Why? As John Nolte of Big Hollywood explains, “Alec Baldwin is a well-known Democrat and supporter of President Obama’s. He also starred in the low-rated NBC sitcom ’30 Rock,’ until it was cancelled last year.”

Baldwin has already non-apologized. He said, “The idea of … that being something that people thought is homophobic … a queen to me has a different meaning. It’s somebody who’s just above.” He continued, “I know women that act queeny, I know men that are straight that act queeny, and I know gay men that act queeny. It doesn’t have to be a definite sexual connotation, or a homophobic connotation. To me those are people who think the rules don’t apply to them.”

He also said that he would have moved from New York a long time ago if he hated homosexuals. Which still doesn’t explain “foot up the ass” or “bitch.” But the media bought it, because Baldwin is a lefty.

Baldwin is a repeat offender. In 2007, he left a message to his daughter that went public, in which he called her a “rude, thoughtless little pig.” No consequences. Earlier this year, a photographer alleged that Baldwin had used racial slurs against him during a confrontation. No consequences. In 2008, Baldwin was kicked off a flight after refusing orders to stop playing with his cell phone. No consequences.

At least Anderson Cooper of CNN got it right: “Why does #AlecBaldwin get a pass when he uses gay slurs? If a conservative talked of beating up a ‘queen’ they would be vilified.”

But the hypocrisy of the media left knows no bounds. Neither does the hypocrisy of the gay rights advocacy groups like the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), which issued this statement of exoneration:

“Alec Baldwin is making it clear that the intent behind his tweets does not excuse his language, especially at a time when there were 11 incidents of violence against gay men in New York City just last month. As we all work to end such senseless acts of violence, allies like Baldwin are right to use these moments to reinforce support for the community and LGBT equality …. Alec Baldwin has worked with several organizations and added his voice to a campaign by Fight Back NY to encourage the State Senate to pass marriage equality with out actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson. He also had a guest role on Will & Grace and played a gay character in the 2006 Off-Broadway revival of ‘Entertaining Mr. Sloane.'”

Well, that answers that. Pay off the gay advocacy groups and do their bidding, and you’re free to use whatever language you want. If only Paula Deen had known that, she would have joined the NAACP years ago.

Wow, Anderson Cooper has a rare moment of sane clarity.

    • cathy

Cooper has a conflict of interest which implies no pass for Baldwin.

I would like to ask a question :
Are gay people normal or are they freaks of nature, as dwarfs, liliputians,
bearded women and all the array of circus freaks…???
Because, if they are NORMAL, would any of them tell me what is the result
of homosexual intercourse between consenting adults…???
Is the outcome even a barren hybrid like a mule…????
Then why this endeavor in making this ridiculous travesty out of matrimony ?
    What about adopting children ???
What will these children learn from such “couples” ?????
If their worry are the communal property in case of “divorce” or death,
shouldn’t a contract take care of the issue…???
It just looks we are on the road to Sodom and Gomorrah…

    • Jeremy

totally not the issue of this article at all, but all I got out of that was that you think dwarfs are freaks, and that you don’t understand the befits of legally recognized marriage as they apply to families, especially when children are involved.

      • montbrun

        Jeremy :
Your remark is absolutely out of the way of what I stated and I guess you should reread with I stated….

        • Jeremy

Your statement was ridiculous and wandering. However, I will attempt to reply directly to your questions:
I am gay, and I live a perfectly normal life.

I am about to graduate University with a Master of Science degree. I have a boyfriend who is also a university graduate. We go to the movies together, hang out with our friends, play video games, walk on the beach, study together, and occasionally enjoy an intimate romantic night together. Since you asked, the outcome of “homosexual intercourse between consenting adults” is an orgasm. I’d imagine that you’ve experienced one in your life, and you probably know that it tends to be enjoyable, especially when shared in a close relationship with someone you love. As in any relationship, sex is something beautiful that brings us closer together.

We are “endeavoring to make this ridiculous travesty out of marriage” because like most other couple in America who loves each other, we would like to get married one day. We would like to have a family together by either adopting a child (that was abandoned by his/her biological parents) or through a surrogate pregnancy. And although it is not necessary to be married to raise a child, it would be best for the child if both of us are able to be legally listed as his guardians. This is important for medical matters, school, and all sorts of important areas of family life. The American Academy of Pediatrics agrees and fully supports the legal rights of same sex couples who are raising children.

You asked what a child would “learn from such ‘couples.'” They would learn exactly the same things they would learn from any other parent. That they have parents who love them, that life affords us many wonderful opportunities to achieve our dreams, how to think rationally and evaluate moral decisions and dilemmas, and everything else that a child is typically taught by their parents. How to tie their shoes, ride a bike, do algebra (and hopefully calculus and differential equations like their fathers), how to drive a manual automobile, file taxes, and all that good stuff.

And to answer your question about communal property and contracts….No, a contract does not take care of it. If you think that, then you clearly did not follow the DOMA case of United States v. Windsor very well. The entire basis of that case was that under DOMA, Edith Windsor was required to pay an additional $360,000 in taxes on the inheritance of her spouse’s estate because the federal government did not recognize her legal status as a spouse even though the State of New York did.

I will be happy to answer any other questions you wish to pose.

      • Raymond – Jesus is Lord.

        The homosexual agenda:

•The homosexual agenda includes desensitizing the public: “The first order of business is desensitization of the American public concerning gays and gay rights…..To desensitize the public is to help it view homosexuality with indifference instead of with keen emotion. Ideally, we would have straights register differences in sexual preferences the way they register different tastes for ice cream or sports games….At least in the beginning, we are seeking public desensitization and nothing more. We do not need and cannot expect a full ‘appreciation’ or ‘understanding’ of homosexuality from the average American. You can forget about trying to persuade the masses that homosexuality is a good thing. But if only you can get them to think that it is just another thing…then your battle for legal and social rights is virtually won” (25).

•Part of the homosexual agenda is to get the public to affirm their filthy lifestyle, as one homosexual admitted in the October 1987 homosexual rally on Washington: “We are no longer seeking just a right to privacy and a protection from wrong. We also have a right — as heterosexual Americans already have — to see government and society affirm our lives” (27).

•Part of the homosexual agenda is to turn people from Christianity: “The teaching that only male-female sexual activity within the bounds and constraints of marriage is the only acceptable form should be reason enough for any homosexual to denounce the Christian religion” (1).

•Homosexuals knowingly lied (and still lie) about the 10% figure (i.e., homosexuals make up 10% of the population). As Tom Stoddard (formerly of the Lambda Legal Defense Fund) said, “We used that figure when most gay people were entirely hidden to try to create an impression of our numerousness” (17).

Also you forgot to add that a butt is designed as an exit and not an entrance!

  • The Dead Critic

Let’s get one thing clear here…will every politician NOW in congress or the senate please step forward and admit using the “N” word sometime in their life. Didn’t think so….

Do YOU or I believe the CLINTON’s have never said the “N” word??? LMAO, enough said.

    • glpage

Given that Clinton’s mentor was a noted segregationist, given Hillary’s apparent dislike of Jews, I bet between the two of them lots of inappropriate terms have been uttered. But, hey, they’re leftists darlings.

  • tanstaafl

Just for that, they should cancel “30 Rock”…………oh, wait.

“Connect two things wrongly separated, and distinguish between two things wrongly conflated or identified.”
–Is Deen a good cook or recipe-supplier? That’s all that counts.
–Is Baldwin somehow useful as an actor? That’s his contribution.
–Is baseball player John Rocker who spewed multi-group disdain, a good ball player? That is his value.
–Were T. S. Eliot, Evelyn Waugh, Ezra Pound (mysogynists? anti-Semites? fascists?) valuable writers? That is their usefulness to society.
Management guru Peter Drucker said that no employee has all needed skill-sets.
Seems to me I would calmly “discriminate” in the good sense, not prejudicially, but distinguish between bad and good things.

The Left has determinedly made ‘judgement’ a bad word. . .a bad idea; an ‘unfair’, non-egalitarian concept.

Clearly; they are wrong; and our world the worse; for following ‘lock-step’, a dangerously moronic; narcissistic and self-serving ‘Left’ who believe that only ‘they’ have the ‘Right to be Offended’ .

That these ‘empty of substance’ – and filled-with-hubris people, ‘up the ante’ with daily upgrades per their ‘inviolate’ sensitivities'; only compounds the negatives.

These people – the ‘Left’ – are the architects of an ‘irrational’ world; and ‘we’ are abiding their nonsensical, world view by way of ‘mind-damning'; ‘political correctness’ – passive Will. No question; that a Leftist ‘amoral, utilitarian, cultural architecture; by design; being religiously imposed over ‘ours’.

Many have; duly noted; totalitarian/religious parallels at work in the world. . doing similar rewrites.

Paula Deen’s career is not in flames because she used a racial epithet thirty years ago; her career is in flames because of a history of racial insensitivity: she wanted to have a Jim Crow-themed wedding, she made black employees of her restaurant use a back entrance while white employees were allowed to use a front entrance. On the other hand, Alec Baldwin, although his words in this particular instance are inexcusable, has been a consistent ally of LGBT rights.
