‘Phony Scandals’? No, Phony Investigations

“Phony scandals,” Mr. President? No, your scandals are as real as can be, it’s the GOP’s investigations into them that are phony. Speaker of the House John Boehner has refused to appoint a special prosecutor to the Benghazi massacre investigation. Why? Because he made a deal with Obama? Because he simply doesn’t give a damn? Whatever the reason, he’s obstructing the ability to get to the bottom of it once and for all. When the IRS scandal hit, Boehner came out to the media and burped out, “Who’s going to jail?” He’s done nothing to answer his own question.

Who has paid a price for Obama’s scandals? Can you name one individual? What has Mitch McConnell, the Republican minority leader in the Senate, done about these scandals? Has he even said anything of note about them? Now, the IRS’s profiling of Tea Party groups was a terrible thing to learn about for Americans, but for politicians in both parties, they could care less, since the Tea Party isn’t only a threat to the Democrats, but to the Republicans as well.

Not only do we have the most lawless administration in American history at this moment in time, but we have the most gutless opposition a party in power has ever had. The only way we can get to the bottom of these scandals is if the next midterms replace the current Republican leadership with those who understand what’s at stake and who are willing to fight the bastards in both parties, tooth and nail. No more phony leadership.

We went down this road before when the partisans from the right claimed the President called the the deaths of the four Americans “bumps in the road,” when in fact he was talking about the transitions for newly elected governments.

What the President said: “But with this endless parade of distractions and political posturing and phony scandals, Washington has taken its eye off the ball.”

The President is not alone. In regard to Congressional Republican scandal mongering, Republican Bob Dole publicly proclaimed that Congressional Republicans should hang a “Closed for Business Sign” until they can come up with a positive agenda for governing our nation.

And the President would be perfectly right even if he was to call the actions of Congressional Republicans in regard to Benghazi “phony.” The list goes on and on:

    – Republican staffers doctoring email evidence related to the Benghazi attacks in an attempt damage their next likely presidential contender and to create a bogus narrative of a coverup.

    – Partisans claiming the anti-Muslim video that was widely televised and distributed throughout the Mideast, inciting protests, attacks and riots on 54 US facilities in 20 nations at the time of the Benghazi attacks, was just an “obscure” YouTube video.

    – Falsely claiming that the Administration linked the Benghazi attacks to protests over the video when in fact this was first done by Libyan officials, numerous eyewitnesses in Benghazi, and in multiple media reports including interviews with some of the attackers and protesters on site.

    – Falsely claiming that the President was MIA during the Benghazi attacks despite testimony and photographs illustrating him meeting with his National Security Adviser as word of the attack reached Washington; meeting and authorizing the immediate deployment of necessary force with the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; meeting with the Vice President and Members of the National Security Team well into the evening and the next morning.

    – Falsely claiming there was a “stand down.” The most despicable of all the lies, this falsehood disrespects the heroic actions leading to the death of two of our four dead: Responding soldiers, one from each response force, killed while manning a rooftop machine gun during the rescue operation in an 11-minute mortar attack. The responding forces were comprised of CIA soldiers, US military, SEALS, Commandos and 40 – 60 members of the 17th of February Brigade. These forces joined the DSS force that traveled with Ambassador Stevens from Tripoli, the on site DSS force, the contracted local security and Libyan military in more than 50 vehicles who all combined to kill nearly 100 of the assailants in battle; secured the bodies of our dead; and safely evacuated more than 30 Americans.

    – Falsely claiming that Administration officials “watched them die” on a live video feed from the Benghazi outpost. The US Predator Drone that was quickly launched provided escape routes to the responding forces in the rescue operation. There was no video feed to Washington from either the drone or the closed circuit video at the outpost.

    – Falsely claimed that the White House forced the CIA to remove information from the talking points for political purposes. Testimony from CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus, along with email evidence, proved that the changes were made to respect the requests of the FBI investigators not for any political purpose. Gen. Petraeus himself was disgruntled because he did not believe the talking points went far enough in linking the attacks to the protests over the anti-Muslim propaganda video.

    – Falsely accused Hillary Clinton of faking illness to avoid testifying about Benghazi. Clinton, who subsequently provided full testimony, was, of course, hospitalized with a potentially life-threatening blood clot.

    – Falsely claiming the President needed to cover up any act of terror because he had claimed that we won the war on terror. The President, in fact, addressed the American people on the night of bin Laden’s death and did just the opposite: He specifically told us that the work was not over and that they would continue to try and attack us.

Should I go on? I haven’t even touched the despicable lies about Ambassador Stevens being sexually assaulted; that he was a targeted because he was gay; that this was a Obama hit; or a Clinton hit; on and on…

After 10 months of investigations, hearings and reports, there is little mystery remaining regarding the Benghazi attacks, the rescue operation, the President’s engaged response and more…

None of this will satisfy you and other partisans from the right. So please answer my question: Having met with the families of our four lost Americans; having told the American people what we now know to be the truth; and having these facts affirmed in months of investigations, hearings and reports — what is it that remains to be explained to the families? Please be specific.

(Kool-Aid laced with a Liberal amount of some other mind-numbing agent.)

Hey, Jim: What needs to be explained, to those of us who can still think straight, is: Why was there no more security than there was in Benghazi? Why, while the attacks were happening, did the President not order a military response? Why doesn’t HE answer that question? How about HILLARY? (Oh, yeah … “What, after all this time, does it matter?” If it was Chelsea who was attacked, would she say the same thing?) Why, AFTER the attacks, has the President not ordered a military response? Why, after the attacks, did the President allow his representative to LIE about them on five network TV morning shows? Why, after she did the white House’s bidding on the morning shows, did this same liar get promoted into a position that is more “secure” for the President? Why do the White House & State Dept. continue to forbid witnesses to come forth? Why did the Pentagon lie about the reitrement of the Colonel wiho will be testifying TODAY behind closed doors to Issa’s committee? Why, why, WHY? This is, indeed, a quite transparent administration in one sense: We can see right through everything they do. (To you, however, there is more opacity there, and you sycophantically accept it.)

Our only consolation is that those who are so blind will suffer like the rest of us when Barack Hussein Obama has laid waste to the economy and the character of America; God bless ‘er; she once was great.

The You Tube video had nothing to do with the embassy attacks, I can’t believe that anyone is still trying to beat that dead horse. Random protestors don’t show up at an embassy with machine guns, mortars, and RPGs, and engage in a fire fight for hours on end with embassy security. Also I don’t know what kook website you got that claim from but I have never heard anyone every claim that Ambassador Stevens was gay or that it had anything to do with his murder.

I haven’t seen such a pathological liar such as you since Baghdad Bob, there isn’t anything you stated that could not be refuted even with accounts form the mainstream media. I suppose you will be telling us all about how your glorious leader has given us four years of double digit economic growth, how the national debt has been reduced 50% and how unemployment has fallen to under 2%.

      • Jim Ward

Republican partisans continue to parrot the false dogma that the anti-Muslim propaganda video was just an “obscure” YouTube video with 6 hits.

The fact is, that at the time of the Benghazi attacks, the CIA and other US agencies were responding to no less than 54 protests, riots, and attacks on US facilities in at least 20 nations — all conclusively linked, at least in part, to the anti-Muslim propaganda video which had just been translated to Arabic and widely televised and otherwise distributed throughout the Mideast.

Numerous intelligence reports, eyewitness reports, news reports and statements by Libyan officials confirm that the already well-armed militants reacted to news reports from the protests at the Cairo embassy and elsewhere and mixed with unarmed protesters as they marched to the Benghazi outpost.

Let me know if you would like me to post the sources of these reports — as they did not come from the Obama Administration.

PS: I am glad you did not see the despicable rightwing reports linking the Benghazi attacks to the Ambassador supposed sexual orientation.

Writer Michelangelo Signorile summed up the various rumors:

        1) Ambassador Christopher Stevens was gay; 2) that the Obama administration is responsible for his death because it had the supposedly terrible judgment to send a gay man to an Islamic country, or even did it as an intentional provocation, and; 3) that Stevens’ corpse was dragged outside and sodomized by an angry mob because that’s what Muslims do — they have sex with the dead bodies of gay men.

The gay rumors seem to have originated on Hillbuzz.com, the website of Kevin DuJan, who also believes that President Obama is gay.

    • Phrispirit

Jim, so you agree that we should immediately demand a Special Prosecutor and a House Select Committee so you will be vindicated?

      • Jim Ward

After 10 months of investigations, hearings and reports, I don’t believe the facts are going to change regardless. There is no evidence of any law being broken by anybody other than the terrorists. You can be sure that if there was, partisan Republicans would have already started the impeachment process which is not dependent on either of these options. I do believe that partisan Republicans will try and drag this out in hopes that it will impact Congressional elections and even the next Presidential election.

I think Republicans would do better to head the advice of some of their own. Republican Bob Dole, in regard to all the scandal mongering, publicly declared that Congressional Republicans should hang out a “Closed for Business” sign until they can come up with a positive agenda for governing this great nation.

    • Joseph

please do go on….the seal team members are still dead and you can cover that up with your take on things …so..is that it?

      • Jim Ward

Yes, they are. And the deaths of these brave soldiers — one from each of the two regional response forces — as well as the wounding of other responding US personnel, remains the best evidence that there was no “stand down.” These forces — supplementing the DSS forces at the outpost, Libyan security, 50 – 60 members of the 17th of February Brigade, and Libyan military forces in more than 50 vehicles. These forces united in a rescue operation that killed nearly 100 of the attacking militants, secured the bodies of our four dead, and safely evacuated 32 Americans.

    • glpage

The mother of Sean Smith has stated that no one in the administration has told her anything about how her son died. That kinda blows away your last question.

      http://dailycaller.com/2013/07/25/mother-of-slain-benghazi-victim-sean-smith-my-son-is-dead-how-could-that-be-phony/

      • Jim Ward

Sean Smith, described by his mother as an avid supporter of President Obama, died from smoke inhalation from the fire started by attacking militants within 15 minutes of the initial attack on the Benghazi outpost. Sean had accompanied the Ambassador and a DSS force to the Benghazi outpost which was largely a CIA clandestine operation. After escorting Smith and Stevens to the safe room within the compound, the DSS force (following protocol) exited first to secure an evacuation route. When they turned back, the DSS force lost Sean Smith and Ambassador Stevens in the intense smoke and fire. Smith’s body was secured by the first US response team which was launched within 25 minutes of the initial assault.

In an April, 2013 letter to to Rep. Frank Wolf, Ms. Smith acknowledged that a representative of the Administration did get back to her with a timeline describing how Sean Smith was killed in the attack.

In spite of this and other bipartisan conclusions to the contrary, she continues to claim that there was a “stand down,” that the President did not authorize the immediate deployment of forces (as testified to by the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff), and expresses disbelief that two response forces — again, the first launching within 25 minutes of the initial assault — supplemented on site DSS security, contract security, 50 – 60 members of the 17th of February Brigade, and Libyan military in more than 50 vehicles — were all a part of the rescue operation that led to nearly 100 of the attackers being killed in battle; the bodies of our four dead secured; and 32 Americans being evacuated to safety.

As she has been quoted saying, “I believe that Obama murdered my Son.”

As a father of two boys, I can’t even imagine the depth of pain related to losing one’s son. I wish only that her grief can be as gentle as possible.

Ms. Smith has every right to believe and express anything she wants to as she grieves this tragic loss. Those beliefs and statements, however, should not be confused with the facts as uncovered in more than 10 months of investigations, hearings, eyewitness testimony, and reports.

I understand why no member of the Administration would want to debate Ms. Smith. I defer to the only people who have the right to openly disagree with Ms. Smith — the parents of the others killed by the terrorists in the Benghazi attacks.

The father of Christopher Stevens, the United States ambassador who was killed in the attack in Libya, said that it would be “abhorrent” for his son’s death to be politicized in the presidential campaign.

Barbara Doherty, whose son Glen was a responding soldier killed in Benghazi, said, “It’s wrong to use these brave young men, who wanted freedom for all, to degrade Obama.”

        • objectivefactsmatter

“…two response forces — again, the first launching within 25 minutes of the initial assault — supplementing on site DSS security, contract security, 50 – 60 members of the 17th of February Brigade, and Libyan military in more than 50 vehicles — were all a part of the rescue operation that led to nearly 100 of the attackers being killed in battle; the bodies of our four dead secured; and 32 Americans being evacuated to safety.”

Excuse me. Are you referring to additional waves of local jihadis as our American response to the attack? Is this because some jihadis actually ended up helping?

POTUS prevented our military from responding. Unless Gregory Hicks and others are lying. I guess we should take your word for it. I guess we should just trust those credible Democrats who are always so quick to take up our national cause.

Wait…nations are so passe. Let’s just turn everything over to the UN. We need to be more engaging and build consensus and multilateral and all that good stuff. We sure don’t want to hurt Muslim feelings, that’s for sure.

After all, the future must not belong to those that slander the prophet of Islam. That’s what we learned from all of this.

          • Jim Ward

Try to get up to speed. Even the conservative Washington Post reported last month — based on testimony from U.S. forces in Libya — that there was no “stand down.” Two US regional response forces — one from Benghazi and one from Tripoli — were a part of the rescue operation that led to nearly 100 of the attacking militants being killed in battle; the bodies of our four dead secured; and more than 30 Americans rescued and safely evacuated.

Yes, many Libyans took part in this rescue operation. 50 -60 members of the 17th of February Brigade joined the first U.S. response force. And Libyan military in more than 50 vehicles joined these forces in escorting the survivors to the airport.

While intelligence, eyewitness reports, news reports, and Libyan officials and others were (accurately as it turns out) pointing to the anti-Muslim video, both Obama and Clinton released public statements declaring that there was no excuse for the violence against our people. None.

          • objectivefactsmatter

“Try to get up to speed. Even the conservative Washington Times reported last month — based on testimony from U.S. forces in Libya — that there was no “stand down.” ”

Right. It depends on your definition of the word “is,” er I mean the phrase “stand down.” There was no explicit “stand down” order that we know of. There were directions to the exact same effect. Precisely the same effect.

“Two US regional response forces — one from Benghazi and one from Tripoli — were a part of the rescue operation that led to nearly 100 of the attacking militants being killed in battle; the bodies of our four dead secured; and more than 30 Americans rescued and safely evacuated.”

            http://mediamatters.org/blog/2013/05/13/the-wall-street-journal-ignores-troop-deploymen/194026

Yeah, BS. Of course a few pawns were moved. Too little, too late. They obviously were more concerned about offending Muslims than they were concerned about national security and our reputation as a nation that won’t tolerate belligerence against our embassies. We do tolerate it. It might even be worse than that but we can’t say more at this point.

“Yes, many Libyans took part in this rescue operation. 50 -60 members of the 17th of February Brigade joined the first U.S. response force. And Libyan military in more than 50 vehicles joined these forces in escorting the survivors to the airport.”

In terms of what we did do, it’s not very clear who did what. The fact that you’re so skeptical about people who expect a stronger defense but take jihadis for their word is indicative of your loyalties as well.

“While intelligence, eyewitness reports, news reports, and Libyan officials and others were (accurately as it turns out) pointing to the anti-Muslim video, both Obama and Clinton released public statements declaring that there was no excuse for the violence against our people. None.”

Empty platitudes and an attitude best summarized by the statement about who the future must not belong to; anyone that does not submit to Islamic sensibilities, which can in the end be translated to a single word; sharia.

how about justice has been served and Obama has been Impeached. jacka$$$

    • fritzidler

“…he was talking about transitions for newly elected governments.” That are hostile to America’s founding principles. Like Obama is.

But it is easy to believe that video riled up the Islamists. After all, look at the Cartoon Jihad in Europe. Which Harvard press published a book on, but failed to include the cartoons. Which were pretty lame by the way, like the Muslim video. And for which a man is in prison for. (the cartoonist is in hiding. [or is he the dead one? so then he use to be in hiding.] along with a growing number of cartoonists. but what difference does it make?)

The rest of it, about multiple investigations, and your claims, I admit I haven’t really seen before. But the same thing happened with Watergate, remember? And that does leave Fast and Furious. And the IRS thing. Along with many others. You phony.

      • Jim Ward

Yes, the widespread unrest — protests, riots, and attacks on no less than 54 U.S. facilities in 20 nations around the time of the Benghazi attacks — incited by the video is not without precedent. We can strive to understand this while also knowing that there was no excuse for the violence against our people.

The filmmaker, after bringing widespread attention to himself with the anti-Muslim propaganda video, was arrested for violating the terms of his parole stemming from his unrelated conviction for bank fraud.

The “faux scandal of the week” strategy of Congressional Republicans might take the focus of their obstructionism in the short term. But as each one falls away without any link to or finding of White House wrongdoing, Americans are expecting more. Even Republican Bob Dole publicly declared that Congressional Republicans should hang a “Closed for Business” sign until they can come up with a positive agenda for governing this great nation.

        • objectivefactsmatter

“Yes, the widespread unrest — protests, riots, and attacks on no less than 54 U.S. facilities in 20 nations around the time of the Benghazi attacks — incited by the video is not without precedent.”

It was NOT incited by the video. It was incited by Muslim leaders who knew they could tear at our embassies with impunity And they did. The video was a lame pretext.

Get a grip. Mentioning the video as the most salient thing is implying sympathy for blasphemy laws. So even if that truly was the case, it would still not justify such a response from our leadership.

        • objectivefactsmatter

“The “faux scandal of the week” strategy of Congressional Republicans might take the focus of their obstructionism in the short term.”

There is no logical reason why the focus would not be on efforts to obstruct socialist traitors if there were no other serious matters to investigate. If anything, the scandals serve the traitor’s agenda more than the opposition’s.

        • objectivefactsmatter

“Even Republican Bob Dole publicly declared that Congressional Republicans should hang a “Closed for Business” sign until they can come up with a positive agenda for governing this great nation.”

A mature, competent and responsible opposition would have had Obama impeached by now and jailed. Their failure to act makes them as guilty of crimes against America as those of Obama himself. A pox on both their houses.

    • Fritz

That would be difficult to do as the Democrats control the senate and that is where an Impeachment trial would have to take place. However they could vote to de-fund Obamacare, since that is the show piece of his administration. They could also appoint a special prosecutor to look into the IRS scandal. Curious how B.O was saying two months ago that whoever was responsible should be fired, now he and his puppet the treasury secretary are calling it a fake scandal with no evidence that it was politically motivated, even though the former IRS head plead the 5th. If there was evidence of wrongdoing two months ago why isn’t there any now?

      • http://www.undertherainbow.us Ralyn Speerly Schraceo

Let’s not make excuses for their failure to uphold the checks and balances. All eyes would be on them during the impeachment, and the American people want justice.

        • Fritz

I am not making excuses I am facing reality, B.O’s comrades Harry Reid and the Dems run the U.S Senate. Do you even understand how the impeachment process works? Any impeachment trial has to take place in the U.S Senate, and be voted on by U.S Senators. Any such attempt would be D.O.A, it’s a complete waste of time.
Instead wouldn’t it make more sense for the House Republicans to actually do something that is within their power to derail the agenda of B.O’s radical agenda? For both the IRS scandal, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, and any other questionable activities, John Boehner could appoint a special prosecutor or prosecutors to investigate.

They could defund Obamacare or these green energy scams. They could also use their option to shut down the Federal government until they get results dealing with teh deficit. Rather then tilting at windmills, dreaming of a show trail that is never going to happen, lets lobby the Republicans to do their job and actually oppose what the other party is doing legislatively.

Come and try to deport me, you piece of left wing scum.

    • Adamsbrew

I dare you conservatives to do something like that — I f-cking dare you. Each and every one of you would pay the pied piper

      • DontMessWithAmerica

You sound like a real tough guy. I’d love to meet you somewhere in a dark alley.

      • Moto

Why don’t you emote some more, you limp-wristed marxist crybaby?

        “I f-cking dare you”

Listen to you! What the f-ck,precisely,are you going to do? Blow up Texas?

We’re not going to “pay the pied piper” (It’s “PAY THE PIPER”,moron). You’re such a complete f-cktard that you’re conflating an expression meant to signify regretfully honoring your obligations (syn. “face the music”) with the children’s fairy tale, The Pied Piper of Hamelin.

I mean, do you even have the introspection necessary to spark a glimmer of an iota of the recognition that you are completely ill-informed and confused about everything?

How can you go through your whole life doing stuff like this and never put two and two together? I guess to ask the question is to answer it, but this lack of self-awareness in the mentally-retarded has always fascinated me.

  • Dennis X

You can keep your so-called scandals. The stock market is soaring ( 401k is looking real good) housing is way up ( the value of my home rose ax. $100,000.00 to $150,000.00 ) Good times are back! Not really sorry things aren’t working out for you’ll!!

    • iluvisrael

Actually, things aren’t working out for many blacks, what with such high unemployment, particularly for black teens. The empty suit occupying the White House owns the economy, and he is to blame.

  • Jim Ward

Nobody called the Benghazi assaults “phony.” Certainly nobody called the deaths of four Americans bravely serving our country in a war zone “phony.”

The only thing “phony” about all of this is the scandal mongering by partisan Republicans trying to turn a national tragedy into a political scandal.

The “answers” that you refer to came from 10 months of investigations, hearings, testimony, and reports available to all of us. It is all public information.

    • objectivefactsmatter

“The “answers” that you refer to came from 10 months of investigations, hearings, testimony, and reports available to all of us. It is all public information.”

And then spun by the DNC and Whitehouse. You’re a Kool Aid-drinking traitor.

It’s one thing to be skeptical in favor of your lover, but to act as though there has been enough investigated and published to come to your conclusions as a rational person, that’s pure partisan spin as well. That makes you a loyalist to the internationalists. That makes you a traitor to America, if you’re a citizen.

      • John E Coleman

        Hello objective “Facts “matter,

This ” Jim Ward ” Character seems to have his head so far up Obama’s Butt , He cant see or smell anything But Obama Butt ! and these are the true { Facts } that Matter !!

        Comment ??

        • Jim Ward

Try to stick with the facts and findings. I am happy to discuss any of them with you…

          • John E Coleman

The problem is , You can’t seem to separate fact from fiction !

They can fool some of the people some of the time , But
They can’t fool all of the people all of the time &
I just happen to be one that will not be fooled !

        • objectivefactsmatter

“This ” Jim Ward ” Character seems to have his head so far up Obama’s Butt , He cant see or smell anything But Obama Butt ! and these are the true { Facts } that Matter !!”

He’s possibly not even thought about anything for himself at all. These are lifted straight from DNC talking points. He’s a pure partisan. It’s not worth trying to parse what he says because most of it is such blatant spin. It’s worth commenting if he happens to mention something controversial still.

Phony scandals. Sure. Very few people actually believe that. And even they don’t believe it’s true (that the scandals are “phony”) but rather it’s “the right position” to take as die hard leftists that believe the end goal (communism or “socialism”) can justify any means required.

In essence the bottom line of what they’re saying is that 0′Bama can do anything that seems to more or less support the leftist totalitarian agenda. Excuse me, not totalitarian, just socialist. Sure.

      • Jim Ward

I’ll be glad to discuss any facts or findings you take issue with…

        • objectivefactsmatter

          Jim,

All anyone has to do in order to serve denial is to remain in denial. Your denial is not evidence.

The testimony of just one man (just as an example), who served under one of the dead men in Benghazi shows that you are completely in denial.

It might be interesting to continue the conversation but frankly you are so blatantly delusional that it might not be that useful to anyone. You’re not that effective.

I do encourage you to stick around and see how you do though as more facts come to the surface. It might be fun for us.

    • John E Coleman

Jim, Without a doubt , you have obviously stayed on top of these { Scandals } with the Undying Defense of your Ruler !
therefor You may know the real truth in Lois Lerner’s 5 th amendment Statement !!! have you any defense for that one ? or could it be that all of your’s and the whole Damn administration’s excuses are also unbelievable ???

Sorry, that sounds like they were Lying ! so I will just call it a small ?? COVER UP !!!!

      • Jim Ward

Lerner, who was appointed by President Bush, took the 5th on the advice of her lawyer in the face of this Republican witch hunt. And now we know why. The Republican-appointed “independent” investigator general was guided by Issa to produce a one-sided report that just happened to suppress the facts related to the targeting of liberal groups. Even this partisan investigator’s report, however, declared that the IRS targeting “was not politically motivated.”

        • John E Coleman

Your ability to Create Logic never ceases to amaze me !

How long have you been brain washed ?
Damn !! I forgot,,,, How in hell could you remember anything , after all that washing ??

    • objectivefactsmatter

“The only thing “phony” about all of this is the scandal mongering by partisan Republicans trying to turn a national tragedy into a political scandal.”

I’m not a Republican and I’ve been outraged since day one.

I assure you my outrage is not phony. I care about America’s sovereignty and standing in the world. I’m not an international socialist and I”m not a jihadi, therefore I”m greatly offended when any POTUS enables those causes without any possible gain for our nation.

His best defense is that he was confused and afraid to react. It might be worse than that. We don’t have all of the facts yet, but we know enough to reach those conclusions. It’s an ongoing story.

Remain skeptical all you want. You’re not deceiving anyone.

    • objectivefactsmatter

“The “answers” that you refer to came from 10 months of investigations, hearings, testimony, and reports available to all of us. It is all public information.”

Yeah, right. You just processed the evidence objectively. We can see that. That’s the same kind of objectivity that led people to insist that the moon was made of cheese.

  • Mach1Duck

At a recent Tea Party a presentation was given by a US Congressman who explained: The investigations are going slowly such that all involved will be in the net. There will not be a special investigator appointed, as then, all informaition is confidential until the investigation is completed (in about 2 to 3 years). This is not what is wanted…The information discovered during this investigation into multiple abuses of power needs to be made public as it is discovered.

  • AlexanderGofen

The most gutless opposition a party in power has ever had? No. No opposition at all!

    - It was already absolutely uncivil for the 2008 GOP convention to not vet the opponent (Obama) but do vet their own (McCain). Moreover, in doing so, to not “notice” that the definition of a US natural born citizen applied to their own (the 2008 Senate Res. 511 on McCain) was inapplicable (!) to the opponent.

    - It was absolutely uncivil for the 2012 GOP convention to suppress exposure of the ineligibility and crimes of the opponent. To prevent Dr. Taitz and Sheriff Arpaio from reporting of the crimes of the opponent Obama-Soetoro-Soebarkach-Bounel (the name uncertain): Especially after 4 years of the party’s complicity in them.

    - It was absolutely uncivil for scoundrels Romney/Ryan in 2012, and scoundrels McCain/Palin in 2008 to maintain taboo on the issue of ineligibility and crimes of the opponent. It was a grotesque failure of the repoooblicans to fulfill the first duty of any opposition party – to expose the crimes and ineligibility of the opponent.

The 2008/2012 betrayal of GOP of their first duty was the culmination but not the first such an event. In the 1990s GOP refused to expose involvement of President Bill Clinton into the murder of Vincent Foster focusing on his salacious story with Lewinsky instead. Since then we did not have any opposition at all. GOP ceased to be an opposition in any meaningful sense.

The level of cynicism and immorality of the highest repoooblican brass is grotesque. In April 2013 Lord Monckton asked an influential repoooblican congressman why neither he nor his party would do anything at all about Barry Soetero’s obviously bogus “birth certificate” on the White House website. The “influential brass” replied:

    - Look what the left have done to your reputation because you spoke the truth about the non-problem of global warming. We know the president and his ‘birth certificate’ are fake. But – to put it bluntly – my reputation matters to me. And that goes for all of us.

    - “So Soebarkah is safe in the White House?”, – Lord Monckton asked again.

    - Yes – was the answer.

With the immoral and uncivil luggage like that above, whichever the events evolve in the future, this party has no future. This party’s soul is rotten so much that it has no future, nor does it deserve one. And if America keeps an association with this party, America too does not have nor deserve any future.

Will you knock it off on the birth certificate stuff, we already know that Barry is a sock puppet of George Soros with a largely forged biography. Do you really think you can gain any political traction with this or are you just doing what so many posters do on here and boost traffic to your blog site? The only conclusion I can come to from reading this is that the fix is in, the game is lost, and that everyone should put their head between their knees, Wrong on all three counts!

      • AlexanderGofen

As the author of this article is not “annoyed” to write about a lack of “opposition” with respect to a few issues, it is my duty to point out on the lack of the opposition on the incomparably much more important issues. Or you prefer to shut up your mind completely?

If you had already known that Obama/Soetoro is an impostor and thief, why have you just swallowed it and and gone with your business? Which political traction are you looking for if you shut up your mind for the most egregious crime ever perpetrated under your very nose? No, the battle is not over and will never be. Just because Horowitz and a few other party apparatchiks at this site had decided to comply and capitulate to the coup from the very beginning, it does not mean that the war is lost and over…

        • Adamsbrew

I’m glad he is ineligible. Perhaps one of these days you right wingers will man up and bring on civil war. I can’t wait till that happens.

          • William James Ward

            Idiot……..

  • Joseph

maybe you’re right…maybe the republicans are lost…they used to be valuable but now I see them as sort of a right wing of the Democrat party…It must be something else…something behind both parties…I have heard of the ‘black skull and bones society’ and they are behind the congressional black caucus…so maybe there are secret societies that are running things…Let’s get a list and see who is on it? Names would be good……

    • objectivefactsmatter

What’s behind it is leftist cultural hegemony and Republican politicians being too afraid to lead. They’re mostly followers. Look what happens to the few that stick their necks out. They’re more or less lynched.

This gave the political jihadis an opening and now we have to contend with 2 ideological enemies teamed against us.

      • William James Ward

How true, it seems our government is the biggest threat
        to American security and prosperity…………William

        • Adamsbrew

I’m SO glad this administration is making you so angry. Now you know how we felt during Bush years. GET OVER it you idiotic pos.

          • William James Ward

When scum like you call me “idiotic pos.” I know
I have touched a nerve but not a brain cell, they
may grow later as you age, or not…………William

          • Jack Hatfield

I don’t think the majority of us are angry. I think we are are more in a state of despair. Though in that there is still hope. Hope for courage born of despair. It’s not a “Dems vs Reps” game anymore. It’s not even an “inmates have taken over the asylum” type deal. It’s more like crazed invaders hell bent on harming the residents of the asylum, have breached the security gates, and it’s only a matter of time before they come for us! Unless we act swiftly and concisely.

  • Donald J DaCosta

Unfortunately, I could not agree more and came to the same conclusion a long time ago. Remember Fast & Furious? Remember the voter intimidation case? As Benghazi and the IRS debacles recede into the distance, Obama struts, boasts, criticizes, accuses and pontificates. The republicans huddle, in some dim, quiet corner, utter meaningless sound bites on camera and show little tangible evidence of any determined follow up or desire to get to the truth. Lots of talk on the conservative news circuit but no evidence of commitment to enforcing the laws that Obama and company violate at their discretion. And why not? It’s a strategy that works when there’s no effective opposition. Need more proof? Why is Eric Holder, an Obama lackey and racist, still the top law enforcement officer in the country? Why the approval of Thomas Perez, an extreme left wing radical, as the Secretary of Labor? Why are Obama and his State Department supporting the Muslim Brotherhood in the Middle East and stiff arming Israel? And we have another 3 plus years to watch this crowd run rampant, essentially unopposed.

    • William James Ward

Your points are very true Donald, the Republicans are not
doing their job and have become Democrats……….William

  • objectivefactsmatter

“Not only do we have the most lawless administration in American history at this moment in time, but we have the most gutless opposition a party in power has ever had.”

Gosnelling. The Left, en masse, are making the old Nixon “stonewalling” trick out to be the amateur move it was. Not only are they Gosnelling but they’re doing what Nixon didn’t do — destroying, stealing, “losing” or claiming gov incompetence in even filing them.

After reading about Detroit, this shouldn’t surprise nor should it surprise that lots of voters just don’t care. Functional illiterates, moral relativism are just some of the features of American culture allowing Gosnelling.

Holder’s already been voted in contempt by the House. One needs to ask “how many divisions does the House have?”.

Besides, look up “oligarchy”. Then note the gold (GOP major donors) want amnesty. The GOP has leaders but they apply the golden rule and support the oligarchy.

  • Fritz

I’m not a Republican partisan you hack, I’m not even an American and even I know that you are full of it. Do you really think we are that stupid to believe that a group of spontaneous demonstrators just happened to show up one day and launch a military style assault? Oh El Queida just happened to mix in with the crowd, bull crap.

Again where did this accusation about Ambassador Stevens being gay come from? You are the first one I have heard even bring this up, and even if he was it’s completely irrelevant to what happened. Just like Goebels you think that repeating a lie often enough will make it become the truth.

    • Jim Ward

You are introducing a straw man argument. Nobody claimed it was a protest gone awry. It was always described as already well-armed extremists — a local militia as it turns out — who acted spontaneously in response to the protests over the anti-Muslim propaganda movie. Read Ambassador Rice’s infamous much maligned remarks from the Sunday news shows. She reported that the investigation was focusing on the well-armed extremists links to al Qaeda.

    fyi:

Here’s what a few Republicans have had to say about their colleagues’ efforts to shut down the government over Obamacare:

“Madness.” – former Congressional Budget Office Director Doug Holtz-Eakin

“A denial of reality mixed with a whole bunch of hype…intellectually dishonest…a good way for Republicans to lose the House…destroying the Republican Party.” – Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK)

“The political equivalent of throwing a temper tantrum.” “A suicidal political tactic.” -Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK)

“Terror politics.” – Rep. Peter King (R-NY)

“The dumbest idea I’ve ever heard of.” – Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC)

“A silly effort.” – Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN)

“Feckless.“ – Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT)

Undaunted, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) and some of his party’s leading 2016 contenders, including Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Rand Paul (R-KY), march on in this futile, dead-end effort. Outside groups like Heritage Action, which islaunching a nationwide tour in support of the politically disastrous push, and FreedomWorks and pundits like Sarah Palin, Erick Erickson, and Sean Hannity are fanning the flames of this intra-party battle.
