I'm a life member of the NRA and nothing Obama says shocks or surprises me any longer re his remarks about the NRA. I have never seen such lies pour out of the mouth of any politician such as those that have so freely poured out of that of Obama's. The man can twist the truth so skillfully that it appears to no longer be "truth," and the liberal media lets him get away with it (naturally).

I would give anything to see Obama get into a deep discussion about gun control, its proponents and why it has not worked in the past, plus why it won't work in the future. Put him up against Chris Cox or John Lott, and Obama would look completely bewildered. Without a teleprompter, Obama is an empty suit.

Yes, and sadly, most Americans are too misinformed, ignorant and just plain apathetic to ask questions at all. But, as a result, how can we blame an electorate that by-and-large doesn't have the tools to make good decisions, thanks to the mainstream liberal media that has trained that electorate to accept and even embrace the flawed agenda of the left?

If the average Walmart shopper were asked about Benghazi, F&F or any number of other topics that would anger our Great Leader, they would have not a clue as to what those topics were. Even worse: they wouldn't care.

Gun control, not surprisingly, is near the bottom of the list in terms of issues concerning the American people, issue number one is the economy, followed by health care, national security, energy, etc. Maybe the majority of the small minority of Americans who think controlling guns is an issue supported it but that's like polling patrons of a gay bar asking whether they support finding a cure for AIDS.

They would need to take control of the Senate in order to file articles of impeachment, and being a pathological liar is no grounds for impeachment. However abuse of power, ignoring the separation of powers, and the cover up surrounding the Benghazi incident could be grounds for impeachment. I think from a strategic point of view it's best to let Barry slowly self destruct to the point where the American public will be loath to vote for his anointed successor and anyone else with a "D" next to their name.

Nixon was not impeached. He resigned out of fear of being impeached. Bill Clinton was impeached. Unfortunately, the impeachment meant nothing to him, and he stayed. Didn't faze him at all. Because of Nixon's resignation, I had been given the impression when young, that impeachment meant the President was fired. But of course, impeachment is just step one. So even if Obama were impeached, it is unlikely it would go past that. If Republicans haven't started Obama's impeachment by now, they never will. Another check and balance that no longer works in America.

Sorry USA. Even though you are unrivaled when it comes to most guns per capita in the world, you are surpassed by a number of countries when it comes to total firearm-related death rate per 100 000. All of these countries are above you, some by a large margin: Brazil, Columbia, El-Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, South Africa and Swaziland.

When it comes to gun related homicides per capita: all of the above plus Costa Rica, Paraguay, The Phillippines and Uruguay.

Not even on gun related suicide per capita you top the list. Montenegro is above.
One sad fact about these statistics is that suicide by gun is twice as common as homicide by gun in the U.S.
But no one advocates gun control to get the suicide rate down. Or?

The list I have drawn these numbers from only includes 75 countries world wide.

When it comes down to guns per capita though, the U.S reigns. Compared to all of the countries mentioned above you "outgun" Uruguay ca. 3:1, Panama ca. 4:1, Montenegro almost 5:1, Paraguay more than 5:1, Mexico ca. 6:1, Guatemala and South Africa ca. 7:1, Costa Rica ca. 9:1, Jamaica and Brazil 11:1, Swaziland, Columbia, El-Salvador and Honduras ca. 15:1, and last The Phillippines ca. 19:1.

I already think I can hear the Owls cry "we do not want to be compared to these countries". But what about The Phillippines, a fairly decent society is it not. You have 19 times more weapons than they do and they still "kill" you on the homicide statistics. So do guns kill people or do people kill people?

Another issue. Suicide by gun. Statistics tells us that the majority of these are men. Every 65 minutes a Veteran commits suicide. The chance that one of these choose suicide by gun is high. If the gun control advocates includes the total firearm related death rate in their arguments, I think it is a travesty. If they in fact are using the Veteran suicide rate to advocate their own political agenda I would be out of words.
 <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number_of_guns_per_capita_by_country" rel="nofollow">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number_of_guns_per_c...</a> <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate" rel="nofollow">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by...</a> <a href="http://www.forbes.com/sites/melaniehaiken/2013/02/05/22-the-number-of-veterans-who-now-commit-suicide-every-day/" rel="nofollow">http://www.forbes.com/sites/melaniehaiken/2013/02...</a>

In civil society, one doesn't call ones opponents "liars" just because they have a differing opinion. But now that he's called us, the supporters of 2nd Amendment rights, "liars", I think it's high time we quit quibbling around and call him The Liar that he is.

Obama says the gun lobby told lies. What lies did they tell?

About the use of expanded gun registration, and the preservation of records of gun transfers, in creating a national registry? What else would it be called? Is there some reason why Obama can't imagine a time when a President only a little more authoritarian than he is deciding (no doubt after some gun tragedy) pushing to confiscate all guns in America?

Any other lies?

Why does the MSM continually refer to the voting down of the gun control bill as "a victory for the NRA?" Isn't it a victory for the Second Amendment and 350,000,000 law-abiding American gun owners?

If the majority of Americans favor expanded gun registration as the news shows repeatedly claim, how come it was voted down in the Democrat-controlled Senate? Maybe the majority of Americans think differently from the President and the MSM. It that's true, the vote-down is yet another clarifying moment in the culture war.

"<i>THE MOST SHAMELESSLY MENDACIOUS PRESIDENT SINCE RICHARD NIXON"</i>

Since Richard Nixon???

Nixon was a paragon of truthfulness compared to that devious traitorous rat. Besides Nixon loved America while "president" O'Bimbo hates this country. True, Nixon was caught lying and following it - impeached. But O'Bimbo has been lying since the first day of his presidential campaign yet his impeachment has never been even considered as a possibility.
