If you're really concerned about wages and unemployment you need to go after the corporatists in both parties who are pushing "immigration reform". The CBO scoring of the Senate bill projects that it will suppress wages and increase unemployment. You can unionize all of the immigrants currently here illegally but it won't help wages... full employment will. As long as we refuse to enforce immigration law we will have a cash only, untaxed, under-economy. We have a full on assault on the poor by Democrats... who want more poor so they have a steady supply of voters... and Chamber of Commerce Republicans who don't want more poor (poor people don't buy as much stuff) but do want the suppressed wages to help their personal business climate.

As for teacher unions... they brought this on themselves by demanding more than taxpayers can afford and not negotiating in good faith. Their tactics burned some bridges and even alienated some of their members.

As a resident of Wisconsin, and a veteran of the Collective Extortion Wars, aka Tea Party support of Act 10, this doesn't surprise me in the least. The University of Wisconsin TAA spearheaded the protests of Act 10, but after losing the battle, wouldn't reveal the results of subsequent recertification elections. If I remember correctly, they couldn't get the votes needed for recertification, so they obscured the results. No surprise then that unions are failing in recertification all over the state. Boo-hoo.

In case he's reading this, assuming he can, I just want to say Ha-Ha to the union thug we prevented from disrupting Brietbart and Palin, on the Square, in the snow, with thousands of Madison's marxist mutants doing everything they could to drown out free speech, but failing miserably. We were the ones who took your lackey's duck call and threw it into the crowd. Yes, your minions damaged my truck because you didn't agree with my bumper sticker, but you damaged your cause far worse, moron.

Unions "our" my cup of tea? Hope the woman carrying the sign isn't a teacher.

This is good news and very surprising. But it seems with Scott Walker, more Wisconsin citizens have woken up to the reality of how destructive unions are.
