CAIR’s Islamophobia Report Attacks Anti-Terrorist Muslims

CAIR has followed up on the Center for American Progress’ “Islamophobia Network” report with its own “Islamophobia” report going over much of the same ground… a vast conspiracy organizing hatred of Muslims in America.

Muslim terrorism is never mentioned. That’s convenient considering that CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in funding terrorism. Like the CAP report, CAIR gives the game away by going after Muslims who have spoken out against terrorism.

And predictably the target is Dr. Zuhdi Jasser who has spoken out against CAIR and in support of the NYPD’s efforts to fight terrorism.

The CAIR report states, “According to its 2011 IRS filings, “AIFD’s mission is to advocate for the preservation of our US Constitution, liberty and freedom, through the separation of mosque and state.” The group is led by Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, its president and founder.

Dr. Jasser believes, “…operationally, Islam is not peaceful.”

Five word quotes from the middle of a sentence tell you that some context is being cut out. Here’s the context.

Q. As the founder of a group whose mission is to fight radical Islam, do you think Islam is a religion of peace?

A. In my mind and in my own family obviously Islam is not only peaceful but also a moral grounding in doing what’s right: giving back to my family, giving back to God, and giving back to my country and community. But the reality is that operationally, Islam is not peaceful. The title of my book, which is coming out next year, is called “The Battle for the Soul of Islam” because I think that the silent majority of Muslims who believe that Islam is peaceful, that Sharia is a personal decision which should not be part of government, can’t sit back and be in denial. We have to demonstrate that the Islam of Wahhabism, of the Muslim Brotherhood and all these radical groups, is not our Islam by publicly engaging other Muslims to prove that these things can be reformed, and that we can do that without losing our faith.

Q. How do people respond to that statement?

A. When people take that out of context, it’s used against me. But when they take it in context and they know how much I love my faith, they realize that I am just a realist. It’s like treating a person with cancer. Does the whole patient become evil if they have a cancer that you’re trying to get rid of? I never said that Islam is an evil religion; it’s my faith. But I am realistic enough to realize that when you look at the last 220 arrests on terrorism in the U.S., 180 of them are Muslim. You can’t sit back and say that these are just crazy people and it has nothing to do with their interpretation of the religion. There is nothing more pro-Islamic to me than marginalizing theocrats and radicalism.

The full exchange shows that Dr. Zuhdi Jasser is not rejecting Islam, he speaking of a conflict between how Islam is practiced by groups like CAIR and how most Muslims (in America?) would like to practice it.

I obviously disagree with that. So will most people here. But the point is that CAIR once again takes a five word out of context quote and uses it to attack a critic calling for a moderate Islam. And this isn’t the first time that they have done this.

It’s a rather blatant show of dishonesty and bad faith that makes it seem as if Jasser is rejecting Islam, when he’s simply conceding that Islam as it is practiced is often violent, while arguing for another kind of Islam.

CAIR isn’t really interested in fighting “bigotry”. Its Islamophobia is being used as a club against Muslim reformers because it represents the Muslim Brotherhood and its Gulf allies.

Zudhi Jasser would have a large following of American Muslims if they shared his criticisms. If he spoke for “moderate” Muslims. He doesn’t have that following. He is invited on television a lot because he is that rare “moderate” Muslim the media think should represent the majority of Muslims. The idea that Shariah is a personal decision which should not be part of government is an “innovation” completely at odds with orthodox Islam. Like wanting Islam to be peaceful, it is wishing for something that can never be. Who can change the immutable Qur’an and take the obligation to hate from it or remove the obligation to war (“fighting is prescribed for you”) against everything that is not Islam? This is nothing the Wahhabists or Muslim Brotherhood invented, which seems to be the fallback position of the Zudhi Jassers, to protect their faith. If enough Muslims wanted to defang Islam and repudiate these hideous doctrines, consign them to history, we would see something different going on. Muslims do not find any fault in their religion, and will not hear of it, they only find conspiracies everywhere (usually demonic i.e. Jewish) attacking their beloved faith. Nor is there a jihad they will not ultimately justify as a legitimate resistance. “Operationally, it is not peaceful”!

The Muslim Brotherhood in America, including CAIR, should suffer the same fate it just suffered in Egypt. Outlawed.

” If enough Muslims wanted to defang Islam and repudiate these hideous
doctrines, consign them to history, we would see something different
going on.” If Muslims were able to “defang” Islam, the core motive of “submission” would let the air out of its tires, and they would then be busy looking for a new name for the creed. It would no longer be “Islam.” Islam can’t be reformed without killing it and then tossing its corpse into a grave with all the other lapsed and extinct religions. I frankly don’t know how Jasser can say that he “loves” his religion when it calls for his self-immolation before a fickle, capricious “he works in mysterious ways” deity, and he would be tongue-tied trying to justify Mohammad, the brigand-murderer-rapist “prophet” but apparently the sole vehicle of Islamic belief. This is the problem I have with “reformist” Muslims like Jasser; they want to have their creed and eat it too, without perishing from food poisoning. It can’t be done.

A corrected response: “If enough Muslims wanted to defang Islam and repudiate these hideous doctrines, consign them to history, we would see something different going on.” If Muslims were able to “defang” Islam, the core motive of “submission” would need to be removed and that would let the air out of its tires, and they would then be busy looking for a new name for the creed.

If the reform meant killing it that would be fine. The test is how many Muslims follow Jasser and his own private Islam, not whether CNN likes him because he admits Islam has a problem (while evading the real problem). He has no apparent following (although he might claim the majority follow him “silently”). The only known way to “reform” Islam is by dominating it and making it submissive, letting that Inshallah fatalism kick in the way it did a hundred years ago.

      Here! Here! Amen!

    • Farid Ghadry

There are lots of Muslim moderates who support the views of Zuhdi. The problem has been: Where is the support of the US for our point of view? Mr. Obama empowers the Islamists of the Muslim Brotherhood DNI Clapper called “mainly secular”. We are a lone voice because we don’t terrorize and kill. We scare no one, therefore we are inconsequential.

      • jackdiamond

Oh? What mosques teach against Jihad doctrine and Islamic supremacism? What mosques specifically condemn Al Qaeda or Al Shabaab or Hizballah or Boko Haram or the Muslim Brotherhood as outside Islam? What mosques renounce Al Wala wa’l Baraa (Loyalty and Enmity) the obligation to hate the kuffar, and orders like 5:51 (take not Jews or Christians as friends)? What mosques renounce or declare void the declarations of warfare in 9:5 and 9:29? What mosques teach any criticism at all of Islam or it’s violent, imperial history? Why do we just hear about your victimization and our “Islamophobia”? Why do we see Muslims taking to the streets, protesting and rioting, at a moment’s notice, over cartoons of Muhammad or a statement by the Pope or the rumor someone is burning a Qur’an, but never in outrage over the “hijacking” of their religion by the latest Islamic terrorist atrocity? (When we don’t see actual celebrations over that terrorism). Where is the genuine expression of compassion for the victims of Muslim terrorism? All we hear is concern for backlash against Muslims.

Obama has done all you say but there were many years before he was President. You blame the U.S. because you are inconsequential among your co-religionists? Not buying it

If Islam were really “reformed” it would no longer be Islam. That’s what really needs to happen. All these moderate Muslims should take a cold, hard look at their religion and their profit.

If Muslims want a religion of peace, they should consider the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As I once heard Pat Robertson say, “Jesus Christ died so that you (Muslims) don’t have to blow yourselves up to go to paradise”

Any Muslims reading this, I implore you, study the New Testament of the Bible. Not just the words of Jesus, but the Gospel as preached by his disciples. There does exist a religion of peace, and He is calling out to you.

It is a very, very hard thing to admit you have been deceived, but that does not mean your faith has been in vain. God looks at the heart. Turn your heart toward the REAL God. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Jehovah God. If you seek him, you will find him.

If Islam were really “reformed” it would no longer be Islam

Actually Islam has already undergone a classic reformation, as it initially evolved as a religion of peace, but subsequent to the Hijra, where Muhammad and his tiny band of early Muslim followers were ran out of Mecca and forced to migrate to Medina, Muhammad became very obsessed with revenge and turned to jihad and politics and in the processed reformed Islam into what it is today, which is an extremely aggressive and destructive totalitarian cult that has as its sole fundamental purpose the subjugation into Islamic totalitarianism of all religions and all infidels through both violent and non-violent jihad and the eventual imposition of Sharia, which is Islamic totalitarian law.

That’s what really needs to happen. All these moderate Muslims should take a cold, hard look at their religion and their profit.

My dear, there are no such things as moderate Muslims and radical Muslims, as all Muslims are only mainstream orthodox Muslims. Not to mention, that because the texts and tenets of Islam are immutable since they are the direct verbatim testimony of Allah (God) as dictated to Muhammad by the archangel Gabriel, Islam can never be reformed, as reforming it would constitute putting the word of very fallible man above that of the very infallible Allah (God).

Like the writer of this article, you obviously have been very duped by Zuhdi Jasser who in reality is a really slick taqiyya artist and stealth and deceptive non-violent jihadists.

      • Melissa

“…there are no such things as moderate Muslims and radical Muslims”.

I have used this exact same phrase many times myself. When I said “moderate Muslims” I was using the wording of the author. I guess I should have put that in quotation marks, but I didn’t think it was necessary. I assumed everyone would “get it”. I will try not to assume in the future.

      • Melissa

“…the texts and tenets of Islam are immutable since they are the direct verbatim testimony of Allah (God) as dictated to Muhammad by the archangel Gabriel, Islam can never be reformed…”

I understand this and have made the same point myself. This is precisely why I said “If Islam were really “reformed” it would no longer be Islam,”

Trying to “reform” Islam would turn it into something else entirely.

This is also why I extended an invitation to Muslims to consider Jesus Christ and Christianity rather than to say they should attempt to change Islam.

  • ObamaYoMoma

    Muslim terrorism is never mentioned.

That’s because terrorism and jihad are two very separate and distinct manifestations altogether. One of them is an infidel manifestation (terrorism) and one of them is strictly an Islamic manifestation (jihad). One of them is always and only violent (terrorism), and one of them is both violent and non-violent, but overall astronomically far more non-violent relative to violent (jihad). One of them is perpetrated for all kinds of various political causes unrelated to Islam (terrorism), and the other one is waged always and only in the cause of Allah for the establishment/expansion of Islam (jihad). However, only one of them is almost always conflated and morally equated as being terrorism by people that have been brainwashed via mass media (jihad), even though terrorism is specifically and only violent, while overall astronomically far more jihad, such as mass Muslim immigration to the West, is non-violent. The inevitable result is most jihad waged against non-Muslim infidels is waged totally without opposition because of this very critical error in perception.

predictably the target is Dr. Zuhdi Jasser who has spoken out against CAIR and in support of the NYPD’s efforts to fight terrorism.

I hate to continue raining on this writer’s idiotic parade, but Dr. Zuhdi Jasser is a classic example of a stealth and deceptive non-violent jihadists, and his game is to dupe gullible useful idiot infidels into believing idiotic absurdities such as jihad and terrorism are one and the same, which is utterly absurd, also into believing that moderate Islam is being hijacked by radicals, that Islam can be reformed, and the myth that moderate Muslims and radical Muslims actually do exist, despite the overwhelming amount of evidence that more than prove otherwise.

If it were up to me, I’d deport Jasser back from whence he came, along with all the rest of the Muslim stealth jihadists currently living in America for the strategic purpose of stealth demographic conquest, which is a very aggressive form of stealth and deceptive non-violent jihad that is totally unopposed because again, jihad is always conflated and morally equated as being terrorism, which is always and only violent. Thus, because mass Muslim immigration for the aforementioned purpose isn’t violent, it isn’t construed as being terrorism, and therefore is allowed to manifest totally without opposition. Thanks to all those promoting that very critical error like the writer of this article for one.

  • ObamaYoMoma

    Q. As the founder of a group whose mission is to fight radical Islam, do you think Islam is a religion of peace?

The above question was obviously concocted by a very gullible useful idiot infidel.

  • ObamaYoMoma

We have to demonstrate that the Islam of Wahhabism, of the Muslim Brotherhood and all these radical groups, is not our Islam by publicly engaging other Muslims to prove that these things can be reformed, and that we can do that without losing our faith.

Miraculously, in the Muslim community Jasser has not one follower. However, in the infidel community of very gullible useful idiots, he has an army of very gullible wishful thinkers. With the writer of this article obviously being one of many.

  • ObamaYoMoma

CAIR isn’t really interested in fighting “bigotry”. Its Islamophobia is being used as a club against Muslim reformers because it represents the Muslim Brotherhood and its Gulf allies.

There are no Muslim reformers only slick taqiyya artists pretending to be whatever, i.e., professional moderate Muslims and Muslim reformers with absolutely zero Muslim followers exactly like Jasser.

  • Yellowman King

I read CAIR’s list of inner and outer circle who they term as islamophobic such as CBN who rightfully and expectantly promote their religious point of view. I thought it incredibly outrageous that Muslims migrate to America to label Christians islomophobic
