Please stop with the "Communist banker of his welfare state" nonsense. The US has around $16 trillion in outstanding debt and *most* of it is held by U.S. companies: Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Citibank, Bank of America. Around 7.5% is held by China. That does make them our largest foreign holder of US debt, but then again, their currency is pegged to ours. You can check the spreadsheet for yourself: http://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/data-chart-center/tic/Documents/mfh.txt

So this all started in last 5 years? Every president so far has backed down from NK and China. The only country Regan every went at was Granada. He ran like a punk when 250 marines were blown up, closed the embassy and we left.

Why didn't bush attack NK instead of Irag, that was where the WMD were.

This time there is gonna be war, more like a N.Korea wipeout, basically China already sold North Korea when they didn't backed up at the UN, see all the scalation after that and you will notice that China is moving to take part in the destruction of North Korea. They want a piece of the cake or maybe the whole cake.

All the powers involved are interested in maintaining the status quo. This is a dance, a peacock display of power and influence. Those in power in North Korea win nothing by engaging militarily those outside their borders, but the leader wins a great deal by appearing defiant and unpredictable. The Chinese win a great deal by appearing to be the grown ups in the region, but undeterred by America. I think the North Koreans will sooner or later back down, and in the meantime China will have shown itself, once again, as the indispensible power. The Norks have a role to play in the great East Asian kabuki, nothing more, and the Dear Leader and his inner circle are kept fat (so fat!) and happy for it.

I believe North Korea feels this is their moment. With below poverty levels, years of propaganda and rhetoric to it's citizens, and children who grow up singing the great leader......I believe he is pushing all of his chips in and going for it this time! When you don't have an Education, you do stupid things.....And this is a nation built on Communism and Hatred. What Else could be the Result?

I dont find the possibilty of hundreds of thousands of innocent people losing their lives because USA wants total control of North Korea so it can advance its military bases and encircle China etc because its frightened of China`s major rise in economy and is taking the top spot from the US as a larger and richer super power.

This worries the US and this is why it wants to crush North Korea and move in its military bases to try and keep China in check .

But sorry.... Too late, as only fools don`t understand whats really is going on with the North Korea crisis.

This is hardly surprising. It was Mao and Stalin who were to blame for starting the first Korean war, and it was Mao who kept the Korean war going long after Kim il Sung wanted it over and was willing to surrender. It is quite likely that it is China today, that is behind North Korea's recent sable rattling.

"China and America have too much to lose by going to war with each other, they will probably come to some agreement of North Korea being over run and reunited with South Korea, and Taiwan being returned to China."

More or less this is the game their playing. That and some disputed islands, stronger regional hegemony and they hope the ability to come out with a plausible story that they were the victims and or heroes of the whole scenario.

Leftists will lap it up too.
