Christiane Amanpour Claims There’s No Moral Equivalence Between Beheading and Chemical Weapons

“This is history coming out,” she says of her rant. It’s certainly something coming out alright.

Contrary to expectations, Christiane Amanpour, raised in Tehran by a Muslim father, is not actually on Iran’s side here. She’s on the side of bombing Syria.

And she claims that there’s no moral equivalence between beheading someone and using chemical weapons. That just goes to show that Christiane Amanpour doesn’t know the meaning of moral equivalence.

Scale matters. Weapons don’t except in terms of threat potential. A man who is gassed is just as dead as one who was beheaded by one her Jihadi pals.

But join Cooper Anderson, Christiane Amanpour, and a man who might be Andrew Sullivan, and the New York Times’ Charles Blow to interrupt and scream over each other about whether we should bomb Syria.

Exit question. Can anyone still pretend that Amanpour is an objective journalist after this?

Christiane Amanpour

  • ziggy zoggy

Can anyone still pretend that CNN employs ANY objective journalists?

If it weren’t for airports, none of us would even know CNN exists.

    • DVult

      What’s CNN? Isn’t that a railroad?

      • Jim Gallagher

They’re a hippie band…sometimes joined by Neil Young.

    • Rosalee Adams

they are even lower on approval list than MSNBC

  • truebearing

Muslim women….could there be a more dysfunctional, screwed up bunch of women than those raised in that evil religion? Amanpour has only slightly more objectivity than your average Twelver. Anyone who can stand out in that group of fools has some serious credibility issues.

    • Well Done

What’s most screwed up is the Western women who convert to Islam. Like President 0bama’s mother. Whoops!

    • Softly Bob

Muslim women are the biggest fools on the planet. They champion their own slavery and they relish worshiping a god who despises them. I have no sympathy for them. Islam gives them nothing but misery; in this life and the next.

      • Rosalee Adams

I see them around here waltzing around in their shrouds, some full burqas………….some are obviously

No self image, no self respect. A husband who uses them
and if they live at home a father/brothers who dictate to them
until they are ‘privileged’ to find a man willing to take them on as chattel………
I feel sorry in particular for the little girls who are not yet
        fully shrouded…..
        What a miserable vacant life.
Walking a few steps behind some dufus who is in shorts, flip fops and open shirt.

    • Rosalee Adams

e.g. the rabid ones who are currently
protesting in Indonesia about women involved in Miss World as being used.

I guess a female who is chattel would be considered what?
At least Miss World participants are not being forced to participate.

  • Aizino Smith

Christiane Amanpour is an idiot, but we knew that.

You can kill the same number of people with chemical weapons or with a knife. A knife wielder needs far fewer support personnel. He has a smaller logistical tail.

And there is no good way to die (Unless it being in the long line according to Richard Pryor). Unless Christine want to argue that getting your head cut off is more pleasant than being gassed.

    • Well Done

Well, if wee Christine visits some of these Moslem paradises, she just may get the opportunity to be gassed, then beheaded. While blaming the West for it.

  • Gee

Real question – Can anyone still pretend that Amanpour is a journalist period?

  • JacksonPearson

I wonder if Christiane Amanpour interviewed the mentioned beheaded, or gassed persons? /Sarc

    • Rosalee Adams

      probably both

      • ziggy zoggy

She probably posed for photos with them.

  • objectivefactsmatter

Obviously people like her spend a lot of time commenting on topics that they’ve never given any objective thought to.

She prefers the Sunni jihadis. Therefore beheadings seem a lot more “morally acceptable” than gassing people. OK then.

What about gas chambers and convicted criminals vs. beheading those who slander the prophet of Islam? Indiscriminate killing is unjust and therefore immoral. Chemical weapons seem to facilitate that effectively. Jihadis have an older way that they still love. What makes that more acceptable? The screams of allah akbar?

  • Guest

Gee, Wally, a man you blissfully slips off to Heaven on a heroin overdose is just as dead as a man who gets brutally beheaded….”they are both just as dead.”

  • defcon 4

She’s no worse an islamic liar than that other paragon of islamic thought on CNN: Fareed Zakaria.

    • truebearing

There is nothing wrong with Fareed that a slow motion keelhaul wouldn’t remedy.

      • ziggy zoggy

I’d rather see him ladled in honey and fed to pigs.

  • Solo712

Amanpour activism on CNN has a long history. She is not a journalist but a propagandist and her miscues range from misinfomed tbabble to passionate mendacity in whatever cause she perceives to be righteous. Her idiotic view of the Bosnian war is still on display.
No Christian, it was the US who tore up the Lisbon agreement and allowed Izetbegovic to lay claim the whole of Bosnia against the protests of Serbs and Croats alike (they were non-violent at first). Only a fanatic would deny that.

  • Rosalee Adams

    The man/woman?
I can hardly stand to look at her let alone listen to her drone on
    Agree with Solo712
NOT a journalist, just your basic propagandist………..oh and EXPERT
extraordinaire…….just ask CNN and all the rest like the news, and I

use the term loosely, agencies like them who use her.

    • ziggy zoggy

Yes. Amanpour. That ain’t a woman.

  • Hass

There no difference between CNN and Al Jism.

    • ziggy zoggy

Except that Al Jism swim faster……straight away from ugly butch diggers like Amanpour. She is the poster girl for birth control. She could turn Don Juan gay.

      • Hass

  • catherineinpvb

So; given that beheading; according to ‘Armanpour’ is morally superior; would she; if forced; choose; would beheading – over ‘chenical’? Guess Allah
